A Kiss Worth Waiting For- Part 2

AN: I know, I know, put the nooses away. Please don't lynch me for this late update. A lot of spit has been going on lately. I haven't even had the time to breathe let alone finish this chapter. But I buckled down and said, you know what, finish this chapter bitch. And then I finished it. So… here you go. Enjoy. Sorry for any and all mistakes. Mistakes are what makes us perfect. :) Elsanna interaction at last.

"Here we go." Kristoff whispered under his breath to the redhead beside him as the front door was swung open and a short, plump, grey haired woman came into sight. Her eyes lit up the moment they landed on the blonde. She instantly pulled the boy into a crouching hug, dragging him into the house. "Look everyone, Kristoff's home!" She shouted loudly. In seconds the large foyer was filled with dozens of family members, all vying for Kristoff's attention. Another plump women, this one with short brown hair and oversized glasses, came up and grabbed Kristoff by his cheeks, making him bend down so she could reach his face properly. "Aww, let me look at you!" she cooed, squeezing his face harder. Kristoff rolled his eyes playfully as one of his little cousin's pulled him away. "Look Kristoff I lost a tooth!" he exclaimed excitedly as he opened his mouth to show him. "Kristoff, look! I earned my campfire badge!" A little girl shouted as she shoved the badge in the blonde's face. Kristoff chuckled amusedly. "Woah, woah. Slow down everyone. Where's Grandpabi?" he asked as he tried to step away from the crowd. "Taking a nap. Hey catch!" The little girl responded, jumping into Kristoff arms. The boy stumble for a second before regaining his footing. "Wow, you're getting big! Good for you kiddo!" Kristoff huffed out, the breath being knocked out of him as the little boy jumped on his back. The entire time Anna had stood quietly in the background, amused and awed by all the love Kristoff's family was surrounding him with. She giggled when another child jumped onto his leg. "Aw, that is too cute!" she said out loud. Everyone instantly got quiet and all eyes were on her. Anna could have sworn everyone blinked in unison before they broke out in excited chatter.

"Kristoff's brought a girl!" The grey haired woman shouted excitedly. "Kristoff, you dog!" a man with black hair greying on the sides, grabbed the blonde and patted him on the back. "Aww, she's a cupcake!" another man said as the grey haired woman took the redhead by the arm and dragged her into the middle of the room. "Aww, bright blue eyes, cute button nose, pretty red hair, what's this white stripe dear? Never mind! Yes, she'll do nicely for our Kristoff!" She declared happily after carefully inspecting Anna. Both Anna and Kristoff's eyes widened at that. They sputtered together.

"Wait, wait, wait…"

"Um- no that's not-"

"You've got the wrong idea Aunt Myrdal-"

"Kristoff's a great guy but-"

"That's not why I brought her here."

"Right, we're not… I'm not… huh." Anna gestured between them both helplessly. Myrdal's eyes settled on Anna. "What's the issue dear? Why are you holding back from such a man?" she asked, like the thought of not wanting to date Kristoff was just preposterous. "Well, umm… I... Kristoff?" Anna looked to the boy. Kristoff had his hands covering his face. "Oh boy…" he muttered. "I know he's a bit of a fixer upper. I mean, the way he walks, I've told him to stop clumping around like a caveman." Myrdal said off handedly. "Or the way he can get so grumpy." Somebody else added. "His feet are shaped kinda weird." A woman called out. "And don't get me wrong he washes, but after a day of hunting, boy can that kid start to smell." The man from earlier said. "And he likes to go tinkle in the woods!" The little girl added. "I did not need to know that." Anna muttered. Before anyone else could add anymore embarrassing tidbits about him into the pot, Kristoff quickly interrupted. "Enough! She has a girlfriend, okay?" The blonde snapped. It was Anna's turn to cover her face now as they all went silent and stared at her again. The silence was broken when the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs filled the air. "What is all this racket- oh Kristoff. You're here my boy, and you bought a friend." Grandpabi slowly made his way down the stairs and up to the two. He gave Kristoff a bear hug, which the boy happily returned. "And who is this?" he asked when they broke the embrace. Anna smiled at him and held out her hand. Grandpabi gently took it and placed a kiss on the back. Anna giggled and blushed while Kristoff's smile widened. "This is my new friend, Anna Summers. She lives in my apartment building. Anna this is my grandpa Peter, but we all call him Grandpabi." Kristoff introduced the two. "It's a pleasure to meet you." Anna smiled sweetly at Grandpabi. Grandpabi smiled back. "The pleasure is all mine dear. Now!" he clapped his hands together. "When will diner be ready?" he asked. This spurred the crowd back into conversation and they all headed towards the dining room. Grandpabi winked at the two as he followed behind the crowd. "Let's get this over with." Kristoff sighed as he escorted Anna into the dining room.

"Well that was entertaining." Anna said in the cab as they made their way back into the city. Diner had been… interesting. Everyone wanted to ask her a hundred and one personal question. "Yeah… sorry about that." Kristoff sighed loudly and threw his head back against the seat. Anna giggled and grabbed his hand. "Don't worry, I had a really great time. I love your family." The redhead reassured. Kristoff turned his head and smiled at her sadly. "Yeah, and they love you too…"

After an exhausting 2 hour drive, the two friends were finally back at their apartment building. Kristoff had opted to walk Anna to her door. "I don't think I thanked you for coming with me today… so thank you." The blonde said nervously, hand rubbing the back of his neck. Anna smiled. "No problem, that's what friends are for. Just wait until you meet my family, you'd really like them if you're into the repressed Midwestern conservative types." Anna joked. Kristoff laughed. "Come on, they can't be that bad, I mean, you came out pretty great." Kristoff said jokingly. Anna's smile faltered a bit. "Trust me, how I turned out had nothing to do with them…" the redhead responded. "Anyway, I'm pretty tired, I think I'll be heading to bed now. Goodnight Kristoff, and thanks for the fun evening." She leaned up and kissed the boy on the cheek. Kristoff's face burned red and her coughed into his hand before responding. "Uh, yeah. Goodnight Anna. I'll see you later." The redhead turned to go inside when Kristoff called out to her again. "Uh, Anna wait." Anna turned around slightly confused. "Yes?" Kristoff opened his mouth to say something he might regret, but thought better of it. "Good luck with Elsa." He said instead. Anna smiled brightly at him. "Thanks Kris. Goodbye." And with that she went inside and closed the door. "Yeah, bye." Kristoff sighed, slowly walking into his apartment. He was greeted by an excited Sven. "No boy, I didn't tell her." He told the dog. Sven's ears dropped. "But why?" Kristoff said in his Sven voice. "Because she's in love with someone else." He sighed loudly, flopping down on his coach. Sven hopped up beside him and laid his head in the blonde's lap. "Don't worry you'll find someone." 'Sven' said. "Yeah, sure…"

Of course Anna knew Kristoff liked her. She wasn't blind. But what could she do about it? She was hopelessly and madly in love with Elsa. Speaking of, she took out her cell to look at the time. 12:04. Was it too late to call her? Elsa hadn't tried to contact her all day, maybe she didn't want to talk to her? Anna stared at her phone, Elsa's contact info on the screen, and debated whether to call or not. 'Ah screw it.' she thought as she pressed Elsa's number. The phone rang twice, and before Anna could lose her nerve she heard Elsa pick up. "Hello? Anna, is that you?" she asked through the speaker. "Yeah, it's me. I hope I didn't wake you. I can just call back later if you wa-" Anna began but Elsa quickly cut her off. "No! I mean, no, that's not necessary. I was- I was just thinking about calling you, but I thought maybe you'd be too tired to talk. After your long day with Kristoff and all." She said the boy's name with a hint of something in her voice….jealousy? Anna smiled and began the walk to her room. "I'm never too tired to talk to you Elsa." Anna responded. Elsa blushed on the other end of the phone and sent her thanks to whoever was listening that Anna wasn't there to see. "So…" the blonde trailed off. "So…?" Anna said back with a raised brow as she shuffled out of her pants and walked over to her dresser. "Um… How was your day with Kristoff and his family?" Elsa asked. "Oh don't even get me started. I love them, don't get me wrong, but they're a little, too eccentric, if you know what I mean." Anna told the blonde on the other in, taking out an oversized t-shirt and shorts. "I think I do…" Elsa said sadly. Anna instantly knew who she was talking about.

"They asked about him you know. Olaf. They adore him and they all send their good thoughts." Anna said when the line went quiet. After another few minutes of silence, she heard Elsa speak softly. "I miss him so much." Anna's heart almost broke right there and her eyes began to tear. "I miss him too. But we have to be strong for him. Everything will be fine. You know Olaf, he's a tough little guy." Anna responded, forcing confidence into her voice. "I- I know, it's just, Kai called, and he said that Olaf's condition hasn't gotten any worst, but it also hasn't gotten any better. And I- I- I just want my little brother back, he's all I have left in the world." Elsa whispered. Anna could have sworn she heard a sob. "Elsa, don't worry okay? I promise you, Olaf will get through this. We all will. You won't lose your brother. And he's not all you have left in the world, because you have me now too." Anna told her with no uncertainty. Elsa smiled slightly and responded after a beat of silence. "Thank you Anna."

"Anytime snowflake." Anna threw back. It was Elsa's turn to raise a brow. "Snowflake?" she asked in amusement. Anna lit up. "Yeah snowflake. It's my new pet name for you. I mean, since we're dating and all, we should have pet names, right?" Elsa smiled at Anna's use of the word 'dating', then she thought about what the redhead had said. "Hmm, I guess you may be right. So what should I call you…" the blonde trailed off like she was thinking. "Let's see… Oh I know. Feisty pants." She proclaimed. Anna rolled her eyes. "Oh come on! You get an awesome, sweet nickname like snowflake and I get feisty pants?" she complained. "How about Gingersnap?" Elsa suggested. Anna blanched. Was she even serious? The laughter on the other end said she wasn't. "Ha, ha Elsa, very funny. Gingersnap is out of the question, besides, that's my unfortunate nickname at work." She said grumpily. Elsa's giggles increased. "Oh my gosh, really?" the blonde asked. Anna huffed. "Elsaaaa. Stooppp." She whined. The blonde tried to reign in her laughter, but was failing horribly. Anna changed into her pjs and flopped down on her bed.

"Are you done laughing at my expense yet?" Anna asked in faux annoyance. In reality, she was overjoyed that she could make Elsa feel at ease enough to tease her. "Yes, I'm sorry." The blonde responded but sounded anything but. "Good, because I have a surprise for you." Anna told her… girlfriend? Elsa's interest was peaked. She hated surprises. She always had, but if it was from Anna, she didn't think she would mind. "A surprise? What is it?" she asked. Anna smiled and took in a deep breath. "Go on a date with me?" Anna asked. Elsa's mouth hung slightly open. "W-what?" Elsa stuttered back. "A date. With me. Your place at 7. Then I'll give you part two of your surprise." Anna responded. Elsa was speechless. Anna hated silence and began to ramble to fill it. "Look Elsa, I just really wanted to do this right you know? I understand why we can't go out to a nice restaurant or anything, but I still want to have a proper date with you. I'm not pressuring you or anything. You know that right? I would never pressure you into doing anything you're not ready to do. Just like the um kiss. I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable, I just assumed that since we were- are dating that we'd kiss… But I don't mind waiting! Seri- and you're laughing at me again…" Elsa was indeed laughing at the nervous redhead. It was so cute the way she rambled. Elsa thought the world of Anna, she was so sweet and thoughtful. "I'm sorry, yes, of course I would love to go on a date with you." Elsa responded with a giggle. Anna sighed in relief. "Awesome! So I'll be by at 7, I'm cooking so don't you dare lift a finger." Anna warned. Elsa smiled. "Ok, fine." She conceded. "Good, so I'll see you tomorrow snowflake, goodnight." Anna responded, smiling brightly. Elsa smiled too, something she always did when she talked to Anna. "See you tomorrow. Goodnight, Red?" Elsa joked. "No." Anna responded and the last thing she heard before her body betrayed her and forced her into sleep, was the sound of Elsa laughing.

A few floors up, Elsa sat in her bed staring down at her phone in amusement. The smile soon dropped from her face and she looked at her closet in panic. She was going to have a date with Anna. Here. Tomorrow. Well technically later on today. What was she going to wear?
