Waves were popping out from the dark-green ink trail, which was stretching along the sandy-like rock.

"Girl, like… can we stop? We swam for hours!" Bars' voice came from the waves on the front.

"We swam for minutes, you lazy Squid!" Greta's voice came from the waves on the back. "Keep yourself tight: we are going to jump off this ink in any seconds by now!"

"Can't wait for that, girl…!" He panted.

"Those Stinkrays were wearing pirate clothing, too… I wonder if he is involved into this mess too."

The ink trail reached a nearby rock: the Squid jumped out from the ink, turning in midair and growling back at the two waves. Bars and Greta emerged as their humanoid selves, as the girl had her eyebrows up, her mouth downturned and was taking a few steps, before stopping in front of the boy.

"Please, don't growl back at us!" Her hands went on her chest. "W-we are your friends! Your allies! We want to splat all those"

The Squid growled some more, backing up a bit…

"Like, I think he's scared of something…" Bars' mouth rose. "Should we really"

"Not now, Barsy!" Her left hand rose, while the girl was still looking back at the Squid.

She bended down, showing her hand at the Squid, which was immediately looking at it. The girl smiled, giggling a bit.

"Why don't you give me a hi-five?" Her hand waved. "Only friends give a hi-five towards each other."

The Squid mumbled… as a sweat scrolled through the girl's right side of her head.

"Come on… be friendly… be friendly…"

The Squid slid away, growling once more. Greta's fingers snapped, as she stands up and frowned.

"Back to the ink!" She dived in as a Squid.

Bars groaned, as he turned into-

"Whoa!" His mouth opened wide.

Greta emerged back in her humanoid form: from the distance, on the river, a medium-sized boat of steel was marching against the weak flow and moving in the direction of the two Inklings. A group of Stinglings and pirates were on board, with their guns pointed and loaded.

Captain Roy was standing at the top platform, folding his arms and grinning back at the girl. The Squid slid towards the wall, observing the ship slowing down and keeping itself in place.

"Unfortunately, I was right!" Greta frowned a lot, showing her teeth and pointing her gun at him. "I can't believe I'm dealing with your shenanigans, again!"

"Har har har!" His arms rested on the platform's border. "You Squids sure pop ou' whenereI want t' loot a territory..."

"Hey dude!" Bars grinned, as he lifted his weapon. "Wanna come down here and tell that in our faces?"

"I will do that, once I finish me rum... an' be seein' yer worthless selves leave our territory!" He laughed, as he lowered himself down and returned with a bottle in his hand.

Greta opened her mouth.

"YOU WANT TO CONQUER THIS ISLAND?!" She began rubbing her own teeth, walking in place and frowning like mad!

"I neresaid I wanted t' conquer this isle, arrr..." The man took the cork off the bottle with his teeth, spitting it towards the river and drinking for five seconds. "... aaah!" He rose his bottle. "That`s on accoun' o' we be havin' already conquered 't! Har har har!"

Greta's face went paler, as she took few steps backwards.

"You two came too late!" He pointed the top of his bottle at them. "We be havin' already built our base in here!" He took a quick sip. "`Tis jus' a matter o' time, before we will be havin' enough sources t' conquer th' Project Neo labs an' grasp all the'r successful experiments, before ye do!"

The girl growled loudly.

"Ooooh, you have done it!" She jumped, stomping the floor with all her strength. "YOU JUST BOUGHT THE FULL-PRICED TICKET FOR 'DOOMED' DESTINATION!"

She dashed at full speed, while shooting ink.

"Splat them scurvy Inklings!" Roy burped loudly.

The Stingling guns began firing rapidly: the girl slid, just before a goo projectile landed in front of her feet. The Squid bended on himself… super-jumping towards the crowd.

"Watch out!" A female Stingling pointed up in the air. "He's coming after us!"

Most of the Stingrays rose their heads, watching the Squid splatting one of them and landed on the main deck.

Shi'er me timbers!

Get him!

Stay away from me!

The Squid was jumping around, sliding in between Stingrays and growling loudly. Sometimes, he would spin jump and splat a Stingling almost immediately. Even though some of the goo projectiles were landing on him, the Squid kept on moving without even flinching!

"Ha ha!" Greta waved her weapon at the Squid, while jumping and smiling. "Go get 'em, champ!"

"Aaarrrr! Ye useless good-fer-nothin' Stingrays!" Roy slammed his fist on the platform's board. "Ye ortin't had forced yer cap`n t' utilize th' trick on his sleeve!"

The man took off a remote, which had several buttons on it. Bars was frowning, reaching Greta's left side. The captain was waving a bit around, as he pushed a button frantically.

Vuuuuuuu…

Below the platform, a wooden plate moved aside… revealing a round block covered in goo, which was slowly descending downwards…! The girl shook her head, squeezing her eyes and examining the uncovering block.

PPPLLLOOOOPP!

The block fell down from the platform, going after the main deck. The Stinglings below rushed away, as the Squid stopped and watched the block-

PUUUMM!

The Squid rolled backwards, slamming against a wall of steel. The girl's left hand covered her mouth, gasping. The goo was spread everywhere on the main deck! The Stinglings and the Squid were drenching in such liquid…

The Squid's eyes were spinning, as small squids were turning around his head. He shook his head, as his fangs were suddenly retreating back and his edges were shrinking…

The goo disappeared from his body, as his eyes blinked before the eyelids went still on the middle.

"… wh-what happened…?" Hun turned his head around. "Where am I…?"

Shadows were gradually covering him: pirate Stinglings were chuckling behind their teeth, all pointing their weapons at him.

"What?!" His eyes expanded. "No!"

"Don`t splat that Squid!" Roy leaned on the platform boarder. "Capture th' lad's!"

Hun trembled, watching a man Stingling moving closer to him.

"Uff, uff… I-I can't… move…!" His eyes squeezed.

"Leave Hunry alone, you fat loser!" Greta gritted her teeth, turning over the boy and changing her expression into a sad one. "Barsy! Do something!"

"Like… what?" Bars shrugged, as his head shook.

"What kind of question is that?!" The girl grabbed his shirt, pulling him towards her eyes. "Swing that darn weapon of yours!"

The two Inklings kept on talking with each other: a woman Stingling dived on the Squid, grabbing him with both her arms!

"No! Stop!" Hun began waving all around, while squeezing his eyes.

"NOOO, HUNRY!" Greta turned over the ship, expanding her eyes.

Roy laughed loudly, as he drank from his clear bottle for a brief while: the woman rose back, grasping the Squid as tightly as she could.

"Aaaah!" The captain put his bottle down, after burping once more. "Her boyfriend be goin' t' sin' much more efficiently than any torture she could face!" He began jumping left and right, in a little dance. "Har har har! I be havin' really done 't, this time!" He threw the empty bottle away. "I will be havin' all th' rum in th' world, on accoun' o' o' this!"

He left a loud hiccup, before frowning back at the crowd of Stingling.

"What be ye doin' down thar?! Hic!" He slammed his fist on the board, pointing his forefinger over the river behind him. "Get this boat around, before them pesky Inklings figure ou' a way t' sabotage our whole voyage!"

"Aye aye, sir!" All the Stinglings, except the woman, made a salute.

One of them rushed towards a control panel, full of buttons and switches.

"You lazy giant!" Greta pulled the boy over her face, pointing the ship with her weapon. "If you don't try swinging that Roller, I will bonk your head with it!"

"A-alright, alright!" Bars groaned, as he walked past the girl and lifted his Roller.

He jumped and swung his weapon, as dark-green ink flew in the direction of the ship: it hit its walls. The ship began moving forward…

"Aaaaah!" Greta slammed her hands on her eyes. "Never mind!" Her feet ran after the ship. "Let's catch 'em up!"

"Oooooh…!" Bars rolled his eyes, running down in the same direction.

The Stinglings were shooting goo projectiles towards the two Inklings, while standing near the ship boarder.

RROOOOOOOAAAAARRRR!

The girl stopped immediately, as her face went paler: she was seeing something from the distance…

"Oooooh ship…!" She took a few steps backwards.

"… mommy." Bars thrusted his weapon forward, taking steps backwards.

Greta turned behind and ran even faster than before!

"SHIP!" Her eyes squeezed.

"Wait for me, girl!" The boy gritted his teeth, accelerating at each step.

The captain kept laughing loudly, watching the two running away.
