Tell Me How To Fix You
Chapter 28
By: The Duchess of Arendelle
AN: I wanted to post this earlier but through a series of unfortunate events… it just couldn't be helped. This picks up where the last one left off. Not a long chapter. BUT Elsa does find a little confidence! Enjoy and sorry for the mistakes… I'm only alie- uh human. ;)
*Now*
Knock Knock Knock
Elsa sighed as another knock came at her bedroom door. "Anna please, I can-" she was cut off by a voice not of Anna's but of… "It's Rapunzel Elsa, open the door please." The short brunette asked in a stern soft voice. Elsa's eyebrows furrowed in confusion and surprise. "Rapunzel? What are you doing here?" she asked through the door. She was filled with joy at knowing the girl who quickly became one of her best friends was here, but she was also filled with fear and anxiety for the same reason. Video chatting was one thing, you didn't have to touch anyone when you video chatted, they didn't carry their germs with them through a screen. Elsa's chest tightened again and she began to breathe heavier. "I came here to see you and Anna, and to support you. Today's your big meeting right? You know, it starts in… two minutes. Don't you think you should come out now, or are you trying to be fashionably late?" Rapunzel asked jokingly but Elsa knew she was serious. "I- I've already told Anna that I can't. So maybe you should go." Elsa said in a strangled voice, she was still struggling to catch her breath and both Rapunzel and Anna could tell. The later quickly stepped forward, worried for her girlfriend, but Rapunzel stopped her, shaking her head. "But…" Anna began worriedly. Rapunzel raised a finger to her lips to silence her. "Let me handle this." She mouthed to the redhead. Anna looked skeptic but remained quiet. Rapunzel spoke again.
"Elsa, I think you should calm down and open the door. Take in some deep breaths, everything's fine." Rapunzel softly spoke to the blonde. Elsa did as the brunette suggested and began taking deep breathes. She felt her heart begin to slow and her breathing stabilizing. Rapunzel could tell she was calming down and decided to speak again. "Elsa, you and I both know you can do this, so tell me what the real problem is." The brunette asked Elsa as she leaned against the door. Elsa remained silent for a moment, then she spoke in a voice so small Rapunzel had to press her ear against the door to hear. "I'm afraid." The blonde let out a small sob. "Afraid of what sweetie?" Rapunzel whispered. Elsa hesitated, then took in a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "Afraid that I might disappoint…" Elsa trailed off and Rapunzel looked back at Anna who had tears gathering in her eyes. "Disappoint who?" the brunette asked. "My father, my mother, Olaf, you… Anna… Everyone." Elsa sobbed. Rapunzel shook her head and frowned, she put aside her sadness and took in a deep breathe. Letting it out slowly she stood up straight and spoke sternly to the girl. Tough love time. "Elsa, you only need to worry about disappointing yourself. And that's what you'll be doing if you don't go to this meeting. Your late parents, your little brother Olaf, Anna, even me… we would all still love and care about you, even if you stayed in this room for the rest of your life. But, if you stayed in here, if you missed this meeting, if you kept yourself locked away, alone and afraid forever, who would you really be disappointing, us or yourself?"
Rapunzel's words rang in Elsa's ears. The blonde thought long and hard about the younger girl's words. The truth was, she felt like she would be disappointing both everyone she cared about and herself. Minutes went by in complete silence, save for the ringing of the Skype call in the background. They were already ten minutes late for the meeting. Anna stood pacing outside Elsa's door, exchanging nervous glances with her brunette cousin. After what felt like an eternity of silence to the redhead, she finally heard the sound of a lock turning and a door creaking open. "Elsa…" Anna breathed out in releif when she saw the blonde nervously standing in her front of the two of them. "I'm sorry…" Elsa began. Anna quickly cut her off, grabbing her in a hug and placing a kiss on her cheek. "You have, nothing to be sorry about snowflake." The redhead warmly assured. "Except for that ruined makeup." Rapunzel chimed in, smiling behind them. "Let me help you fix it." She continued. Elsa looked at her frightfully and her chest began to tighten again. "…Or you know, Anna could do it, no problem. I think you'd prefer that anyway." She winked at them. Elsa blushed and Anna rolled her eyes. "Living room. Go. Now." Anna told the laughing brunette. Rapunzel threw up her hands in mock surrender. "Fine, fine. Whatever, I'm going. See you two love birds later." She responded side stepping Anna's swat. The redhead looked back at the still blushing blonde. "I don't know her." She joked, softly grabbing Elsa's hand. The blonde smiled a true smile for the first time that day. Anna tugged on her hand slightly, leading her back into her bedroom. "Come on, let's get you fixed up."
************************FROZEN********************************
"Miss Frost, you are twenty minutes late to this, your first, meeting. Your father, God rest his soul, would never tolerate such tardiness. I hope you have a good excuse." Came Weasleton's loud nasally voice from the television's speakers. Elsa froze for a moment, breath catching in her throat and looking as if she was going to flee back into her room any second now. The blonde calmed and smiled slightly when she saw Anna and Rapunzel peeking through the doorway, both giving her big goofy smiles and thumbs up. Elsa took in a deep breath to calm her rapidly beating heart. She let it out slowly then looked back at the screen. There were at least thirty smartly dressed men and women staring back at her, all sitting in large leather chairs pushed up to a long mahogany conference table. She gathered up courage she didn't even know she had and spoke in a soft firm voice. "Well Mr. Weasleton, I apologize for my tardiness and hopefully my father, wherever he may be, and the council, could forgive me. I was otherwise… indisposed. But that aside, I, and I think the other members of the council, would be very much interested to hear your excuse as to why you've begun to slowly sale your shares of Frost Industries to Southern Isle Incorporated." Elsa directed to the little man with the giant mustache at the head of the table. All eyes turned to him, some in shock, others in disapproval, and still more in nervousness, having been contemplating doing the same. Weasleton's eyes darted around the table as he sputtered nervously. "Well… I. I don't know what… I mean, that is…. Proof! What proof have you of this Madame?" he asked loudly. The occupants of the table all looked back to her, curiously. Elsa glanced towards Anna who nodded her head lightly and mouthed, 'You're doing great.' Elsa nodded slightly to herself and continued. She reached into the top drawer of her desk and removed a folder. For weeks now Anna had been helping Elsa prep. The redhead had begun bringing her files and educating her on some of the major going ons of the company. She would never reveal how she came across most of the information, but Elsa was grateful for it.
"The proof is right here Mr. Weasleton. I have all your records and account numbers. It says here that you sold almost half of your shares to Mr. Anderson himself. I even have the credit statements of your dinner meetings with him. Perhaps you shouldn't charge such things to company cards?" she asked cooly. Anna and Rapunzel smiled at each other and quietly high fived as they watched Elsa dominate the meeting. All eyes were back on Weasleton as he raised a finger in indignation then deflated into his chair. Elsa smirked lightly and raised an eyebrow. "I believe we should have a separate talk later Mr. Weasletown, we may need to discuss your future here at Frost Industries… or lack thereof..." Elsa told the man. All the members of the table looked around at each other as they began to whisper. "It's… Weasleton…" he responded lowly as he shrunk further into his seat. Elsa ignored him as she took out a Windows tablet and sat it in front of her. She gave one final look towards the two beaming girls in the doorway before lightly clearing her throat and focusing back on the meeting.
"Well, if it is okay with you all, I would like to start by learning each of your names and what departments you head…"
AN: Anna the snoop! Her and Rapunzel make a great team! And look at Elsa taking control! I love it! Hopefully next chapter will be longer. Tell me what you want to see, what you don't want to see. I want to hear from you guys! :) Review or PM if you have any questions. Which reminds me…
An Anon asked the question, they thought only Olaf got hurt in the accident with the head injury. Meaning they are thinking that I'm implying Elsa sustained an brain injury too. I believe Anon was referring to the part when Elsa tells her mom that daddy says she needs to get better in her brain before she can take over the company. I'm sorry to confuse Anon reviewer let me clarify! When Elsa says 'She needs to get better up here first." She's referring to her extreme OCD, and anxiety attacks. That's what she means by getting better and being normal like the other kids. Hope this cleared things up Anon!
Anyway, if something confuses you, don't be afraid to ask me for clarification, even if you are a Anon or guest reviewer. I will answer your question in the end Author's Note. Okay? Okay. :)
See you guys in 2 weeks, love you kittens!
