"Not now!" She stopped, while flattening her mouth. "Not when I'm escaping-AGH!"
She twisted behind, immediately pointing her weapon at the man that just emerged out of his ink.
"Wait, don't shoot!" His arms stretched upwards, as his eyes went large. "Did you hear that laugh?!"
Mirii kept staring at the man.
"… yes, I did." She whispered. "We must hide inside a"
ARGH!
Shi'er me timbers! Th' Squids be escapin'!
"Curses!" Mirii twisted behind, enlarging her eyes and watching a large group of Stingrays coming in their direction.
She took some steps backwards-
Hold yer swords, ya horn swollgin` swabbies!
The crowd of mostly pirate Stingrays stopped instantly, as some of them went near a side of the walls and the rest jumped above either a barrel or crate. One slipped on the floor, after touching a clear, empty bottle with his foot.
Mirii gasped, as her mouth opened wide. Captain Roy was standing in the distance, grinning and holding a cage with a Squid inside.
"MIRII!" Hun jumped vertically, as his tentacles grabbed the metallic fence. "DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME! I WILL GET OUT OF HERE!"
The tall man laughed, gradually tilting backwards… before lifting back his posture.
"Look who be starboard all along..." He began walking, as he waved the cage back and forth. "... aren`t ye happy I brought yer boyfriend in th' ship?"
Mirii blushed, as she frowned a lot and squeezed her eyes.
"Release him at once…"
"Har har har har!" He stopped right at the end of the crowd. "Aren`t ye an adorable Squid?! Givin' orders t' a captain like me!" He grinned widely.
"You insolent!" She bended forward, expanding her eyes and keeping her frown. "You and all that pathetic crowd of pirates you carry around!"
"Aarrrr!" A Stingling man on the left rose his sword. "Let`s charge! Let`s charge!"
"Not yet!"
The man turned his head over Roy, which was still keeping his grin.
"... we be havin' t' make this girl sin', first..." He lifted his cage, showing Hun at the two Inklings. "... then we will throw them all in th' sea!"
"What?!" The man's eyebrows went up. "Yo-you told me to release me, if"
"Har har!" Roy's head shook. "I be about t' make ye keel haul th' plank, if 't wasn`t fer this wee inconvenience... but enough talk!"
He shook the cage.
"Tell me all about Project Neo, ya scurvy Squid!" His eyes squeezed. "Or else yer boyfriend gets 't..."
The Inkling man enlarged his eyes, looking at Mirii.
"… yo-you are related to Project Neo?!"
The girl took a step forward.
"Your threats are as worthless as your pirate speech…"
Aarrrr!
She has done 't!
She dasn't e'en deserve th' plank! Splat th' meat now!
The group of Stingrays were shaking their fists, all of them-
"BE QUIET!" The captain frowned, while still staring down at Mirii.
Silence quickly came in… as the tall Stingling was now grinning.
"... ye say 'worthless'...? Har har har!" His free hand picked up the remote from his greasy pocket. "Then, let me double down on me threat..."
His eyes landed on the remote, as his thumb pushed the button in the middle. Mirii shivered faintly, holding her sight on the caged Squid…
"… uh?" Hun's irises went down. "The fence is… heating?"
His eyes grew a bit, as he slid slightly around… before starting to yelp. Ink droplets were gradually coming down on the floor at a faster pace.
"Ouch! Ouch!" His eyes squeezed. "Oooww! Hot! Hot!"
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Mirii's eyebrows went up, as her mouth downturned.
"Since ye be takin' so long t' talk... I decided t' make Squid stew in fore o' yer one good eye!" He chuckled.
"NO!" Her face went immediately paler, as her hands dropped her weapon and went on her cheeks. "NOOOO!"
Hun kept yelping, moving around non-stop and even slamming against the fence.
"S-STOP IT! MAKE IT STOP!" She walked in place, as her hands grabbed one of her long tentacles each.
"But I be hungry fer some Squid meal!" His head pointed at the bouncing Squid. "And I haven`t eat dinner today..."
Burn! Burn! Burn!

The Stingrays were raising their fists multiple times, while smiling and laughing. Hun was sweating a lot, yelling and slamming the lower fence with his tentacles. Mirii's left leg "hugged" her right one, as her head was sweating and her wrists were each on a side. Her teeth were gritting, her irises were as big as dots…
The Inkling man kept looking in between the girl and the captain, as he was slightly tilting around…
"Har har har!" His free hand was holding a round, golden clock, as his eyes rested on it. "5 more minutes an' me stew be ready...!"
Mirii was stumbling, as her vision was getting blurry… everything around her felt in motion… her eyes were watery…
Hun's eyes were dropping tears… immediately caught by the girl's irises.
"ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT!" She cried, while sobbing. "I WILL TALK! I WILL TAAAAALLLKKKK!" She landed on her knees, as her fists slammed on the floor. "I will talk… I-I will talk…" She kept sobbing loudly.
The captain put his clock away, picking back his remote and pushing the middle button. Hun kept yelping, while standing still, as droplets of dark-green ink were still falling down on the floor below…
"... get up, scallywag!"
Jerkily, Mirii's head rose… glancing once more at the tall man in the distance.
"I will nay accept any mumblings or cryptic talks from ye!" Roy turned his head left and right, giving a quick look to each Stingray on his sight. "Go get that Squid, before she tries any funny business on us!"
"Aye aye, sir!" The pirates made a salute pose.
Mirii growled, as her hands were grasping the floor… the captain pointed his remote over the Inkling man.
"Tell yer matey t' drop his weapon..."
"You monsters!" The man bended forward, showing his teeth. "You are truly monsters for doing this to two young Inklings"
"PLEASE!" Mirii's shoulders turned to her right, as her frowning face was trembling all around. "DROP YOUR WEAPON!"
The scientist shut his mouth, simply staring back at the Stingrays…
"… I will drop it alright…" He tilted backwards, before throwing his weapon over the captain.
The Splattershot-like gun bounced on the floor, slid right in front of Roy's feet.
"... ye asked fer 't." His right foot crushed the weapon, as he began walking towards the two.
The rest of the Stingrays followed their leaders' steps, with some of them chuckling in the background or mumbling some words. The man growled back, as he clenched his fists. Slowly, Mirii stands up and stared back at Hun: his eyes were closed, as he was breathing silently.
"Hunley… oh, Hunley…" Her eyes closed. "I… I want to stay with you… forever…"
TUUUUMMM!
All of the sudden, everyone stumbled widely and some dust fell from the ceiling! Some Stinglings fell down, hitting the floor. Mirii's eyes went large, as she immediately looked her surroundings.
"Arrrr!" Roy frowned a lot, as his shoulders rose and his hands grasped respectively the cage and remote tightly. "What be that"
TUUUUMMM!
The captain fell down on his bottom.
"BY TH' POWERS O' TH' RUM!" He groaned.
Captain! Captain! We are under attack!
Roy turned behind, keeping his frown and watching the crowd.
The beast is in our base!
