AN: I am. SO SORRY. Guess what guys? My laptop was stolen, I had to buy a new one, I had to get a part to job in order to buy a new one. To the asshole who stole my laptop. FUCK YOU. Anyway, just finishing this chapter. It was so long I had to cut it in two. Not kidding. So you guys get two chapters today. Once again, so sorry. Don't give up on me or my stories, because now I'm back in business. Be looking forward to updates around Thanksgiving break ok? Ok. So, here's the story, sorry for the mistakes. I know there are a lot probably, I barely gave this a read through because I was so eager to post this because it's been so long. So here you go, and get ready to rock.
Anna walked through the doors of Wondering Oakens Grocery. The moment she stepped foot in the place she immediately spotted the handsome blonde that had waited on her the first time she came. It seemed so long ago now. The blonde caught her eye as well and a large grin began to blossom on his face. "Ah, it Anna, ya?" he asked in his thick Norwegian accent. Anna smiled brightly back at him and nodded her head. "Yep, that's me. And you're Oaken's husband, Bjorgan (jOR- gan) right? I haven't seen you around here in a while. How are you?" she asked the tall, slender man as she grabbed a hand basket. The blonde man smiled as he continued to stock a shelf of what looked like pickled herring. Ew. "I am good, but please, call me Jo. And as for absence, I had cold, then kids had cold, and you know how that go… How are you?" he asked, reaching for another glass jar. "I'm really great, never been better." She told the blonde honestly with a wistful sigh as she wonder down the snack aisle of the small grocery store, huge smile still in place. The blonde grocer raised a thick eyebrow at the girl's extra happy demeanor. His smile turned mischievous as he addressed the redhead. "Love is in the air, ya? You have special someone?" he asked, climbing off the short ladder and walking over to the girl. Anna blushed brightly and looked away. "Something like that, yeah." She mumbled. Jo laughed hardily as he threw one muscular arm around the small redhead's shoulders. "What is name? You must give him something special, on us. Oaken adore you, so I adore you." He said, not realizing his mistake. Anna's blush darkened as she fidgeted a bit. "Well, um, actually, her name is Elsa." Anna told the man, waiting for his response. The blonde just continued to smile as he spoke. "Ah, Elsa… Olaf's Elsa, ya? I bet you she as beautiful as her name, ya?" Anna looked at the warm smile on the blonde grocer's face and returned it. "Ya."
After the exchange Anna went back to shopping and Jo went back to stocking the strange food. Fifteen minutes, three bags of Doritos, seven boxes of assorted chocolate, two bottles of tequila, one bottle of vodka, some wine coolers, and an assortment of other treats and alcoholic beverages later, Anna came up to the register, struggling with the now heavy and overflowing basket. She plopped said basket on the vintage wooden counter with a hard thud and a sheepish smile. Jo looked at Anna with a raised brow. "Party?" he asked. Anna smile. "Oh yeah." The blonde held up a hand and Anna smacked it in a high five. "Okay, total is $52.84." Anna nodded her head and fished around in her bag for her wallet. Holy shit, she would need to start working on her assignment soon, right now she wasn't being paid much since she was A) a cub reporter, and therefore didn't get paid much, and B) had not actually started on her assignment yet, therefore she was getting paid even less. After retrieving her wallet, she handed over the Visa card to the blonde for him to scan. Smiling, he handed her back her card and a receipt. Before he relinquished the bags to the redhead, he told the girl to wait there while he got something from the back.
"This is for you. You enjoy it with lady friend, ya?" he said with a smile and a wink as he gave the surprised redhead a bottle of what looked like very, very expensive wine. "Oh Jo, I couldn't. This looks like it cost a fortune." Anna told the man behind the counter. "$1,200.00 a bottle. It is, Schøzheim, a very exclusive white wine from my home country." He nonchalantly told the gaping redhead. 1-1- 1,200 dollars? "What? Excuse me? $1,200? I- I can't accept this!" she told the blonde, horrified. Jo smiled. "You can and will. Please. Oaken, he buy many cases for winter resort. We keep one for ourselves. It is gift. Please, take it, ya?" He told the still hesitant redhead, smiling warmly. After a few minutes of thought, Anna reluctantly took the proffered bottle, holding it tightly. "Thank you so much Jo, really, this is too much." Anna thanked the blonde graciously. Jo waved it off, handing Anna her reusable grocery bags filled with her party loot. "Please, it nothing. Just come back and see us soon, the kids have been dying to see you around the store again." At this Anna smiled brightly and vigorously nodded her head in agreement. "Of course, I miss seeing those adorable little trouble makers too. Plus, I could really use their help carrying all this stuff home." Anna joked, adjusting the heaving bags in her hands. Jo laughed loudly. "Oaken mention you using our kids as pack mules." He joked back. Anna looked at him offended, trying to hold back her smile. "Well hey now, I wouldn't say pack mules. More like… adorable little helper monkeys." They both shared a laugh at that as Jo finally shooed her out of the store.
*****FROZEN*****
Anna got back to Elsa's apartment a few minutes later, struggling with the heavy bags as she stumbled through the door. "I'm back!" she called out to the room. "A little help here!" she continued as she felt the bags begin to slip from her aching hands. She felt soft, cold hands wrap around her own as they liberated her from some of the bags. Elsa smiled at her redheaded girlfriend as she began carrying the bags into the kitchen, while Rapunzel continued to sit on one of the stools, texting. Anna rolled her eyes at her cousin. "Wow Punz, thanks for all your help." She told the girl sarcastically as she sat the bags down on the counter next to the brunette. "You're welcome." Rapunzel responded, uncaring of her cousin's tone as she began digging through the bags. She triumphantly pulled out a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos, but they were soon snatched away from her by a frowning redhead. "Nuh uh. Wait for the pizza." Anna told the brunette. Rapunzel began to pout and stick her tongue out at her cousin. Anna retaliated by sticking her tongue back at the brunette, who in turn put her thumb to her nose and began wiggling her fingers. The two cousin started a goofy face off as Elsa stood back and watched the two interact with an amused smile on her face.
"Um, sorry to interrupt, but I think we should start prepping the snacks maybe? I made some celery and carrots sticks just in case you guys wanted some." Elsa informed the two. Anna and Rapunzel stopped and stared at Elsa for a second before bursting out in laughter for the second time that day. "Celery Elsa? Really? This is a party! A celebration for your awesomeness at kicking butt in your first meeting. We will not be eating celery." Anna exclaimed as she walked over to the blushing blonde. "We will, however, be taking shots." Rapunzel's smile widened at that. "Yes!" she cheered from behind the two. Anna noticed that Elsa didn't seem as enthusiastic as she and Rapunzel were. She frowned a bit as she turned around to address her cousin. "Um, Punz, could you pop over to my apartment and grab the shot glasses." She asked the brunette as she turned back to the still visibly uncomfortable blonde. "Go get them yourself." Rapunzel responded oblivious to why Anna was asking her to do it. Anna rolled her eyes and grounded her teeth.
"Rapunzel Anettea Marie Corona, go to my apartment, and get the freaking shot glasses. Now. Or no pizza and tequila for you." Anna gritted between her teeth as she looked at her cousin with a 'Leave now, or you die" glare. Rapunzel hastily rose from her seat at the counter, both hands held up in surrender as she slowly backed out of the room. Anna sighed and shook her head before turning back to Elsa. "Sorry, she can be a little... you know…" she explained, grabbing Elsa's hands and leading her over to the couch. "Her last name is the same as the city?" Elsa asked, trying to stall the talk she knew they were about to have. She figured Anna knew that and her suspicions were confirmed when she looked at the redhead's facial expression. One eyebrow was raised and she now had the "Tell me what's wrong and don't try to get out of it" look. Anna had many looks. With a heavy sigh, Elsa looked down at her and Anna's intertwined fingers. "I'm just a little nervous about drinking alcohol…" she told the redhead, not making eye contact. It wasn't a lie, the blonde was beyond nervous to drink the alcoholic beverages, but that wasn't the only thing bugging her. And Anna could tell. "Sweetie, that's perfectly understandable. Listen, no one is going to force you to drink the alcohol… Well… Rapunzel might try. But of course I won't let her." Anna joked, squeezing Elsa's hand tighter and bringing one of her own up to gently cup the blonde's face.
"But why do I feel like there's more than just you being nervous to get a little tipsy for the first time?" Anna asked softly. Elsa deflated a bit at the redhead's words. She didn't know whether to be happy or scared over the fact Anna could already read her so well. The blonde once again heaved a sigh before clearing her throat and quietly speaking. "I… I'm… I just think… That maybe this celebration is… happening a bit too soon." Elsa struggled to get out. Expressing her feelings and thoughts still did not come as freely to her as it did to Anna. The redhead frowned a bit at the words. "Elsa, what do you mean?" she responded, genuinely confused. "I... I'm just saying that, I mean I… It's only been one meeting. I don't want your and Rapunzel's expectations of me to get too high. I could barely make it through that meeting without passing out from fear and anxiety. I just- I just don't want to let you down if I can't go through with it anymore." Elsa finished, tears beginning to shine in her eyes as she tried to look away from Anna again. The redhead wouldn't allow it as she brought her other hand up to join the first one. Anna tenderly held Elsa's face in place as she leaned in and pressed a light kiss to the blonde's cool lips. Leaning back a bit, she lightly pressed their foreheads together as she spoke.
"Elsa please listen to me. If you never spoke to those people again, if you decided that you wanted nothing to do with Frost Industries anymore, if you signed the rights to the company over to "Mr. Of the Southern Isles" of whatever his name is, today, I would still love you and care for you and think of you as the same amazingly strong and beautiful woman, as I do right now. Elsa, don't you know you could never let me down?" Anna asked the blonde as she engulfed her in a warm hug. Elsa wanted to cry a sea of tears because of Anna's words right now, but she refused. She wasn't going to cry. She was going to be strong. She was going to become the woman Anna saw her as. Elsa broke the embrace so she could look at her girlfriend. Staring into the aqua blue eyes of the redhead, she wondered for the thousandth time how she got so lucky. Opening her mouth to speak, she was interrupted by the sound of a door slamming and glasses clinking.
"Found them! Oh, and I beat the pizza guy here, he should be knocking on the door in…3…2…1…" Just as the brunette said one they all heard a knock at the door. Anna was slightly annoyed by the interruption. She was fairly sure Elsa was about to open up on her own, without prompting from her for the first time. She made a mental note to sit down and have a talk to Rapunzel about boundaries, and reading moods, and not barging into rooms. Looking back at Elsa, she could tell the words had died on her lips. The mood had been broken. 'Dang it Punz. Dang it pizza guy.' Anna thought to herself as she rose from the couch, smoothing out the fabric of her jeans. "I'll get it, how about you and Elsa pick out something to watch and begin setting up the drinks and the snacks?" Anna suggested as she made her way to the front door. She shot Rapunzel another death glare as she passed the girl on her way to the door. The brunette just shrugged and went over to join Elsa, who was already vigorously scrubbing her hands at the sink.
Opening the door, Anna smiled at the pizza guy before frowning and grabbing the man by his red green and white uniform shirt, shoving him out into the hallway. "What the hell are you doing here?" she whispered harshly as her grip tightened on the man's collar. "Surprise?" he told the redhead sheepishly. Anna rolled her eyes. "No, seriously Eugene, what are you doing here? Are you stalking me now? Do you have me under surveillance or something?" she asked the dark haired so called adventurer. Eugene scoffed. "As if. Don't flatter yourself doll." He told the redhead, bringing his hands up to remove Anna's from his shirt. "And don't wrinkle the shirt." Anna sighed. Why? Why did she always make friends with the weirdoes? "Whatever. You still didn't answer my question." She huffed. "Anna, what's keeping you? We're about to have an OUAT marathon on Netflix!" Both the redhead and Eugene heard the voice of Rapunzel yell from the living room. "Just a sec!" she called back out.
"Who was that?" Eugene asked entranced by the beautiful voice of the mystery woman. "Your girlfriend?" Anna scrunched her nose. "Ew, no. That's my cousin, Rapunzel." She told him with yet another eye roll. "Rapunzel…" he whispered to himself. Anna looked at him funny until realization dawned on her. She knew that look. She knew it well. She had that look every time she saw or thought of Elsa. "No. Nope. Uh-un. Not gonna happen. No. You can remove that little love sick look off your face right now, no way am I letting my cousin come within a thousand feet of you." Anna whispered out harshly. Eugene shook his head a bit and focused back on Anna. Trying to play it cool and failing. "I don't know what you're talking about." He said trying to avoid eye contact with the unconvinced redhead. "Anyway, I'm here to deliver you some info." He told the girl, reaching into his pizza warmer and pulling out a manila envelope. "What is this?" Anna asked, opening the enveloped and peaking inside. She was confused to see pictures of two older gentlemen talking. One looked like the man from the conference that Elsa chewed out.
"It's Weasleton and Mr. Anderson. You know, CEO of Sothern Isle Inc? I thought this may come in handy in the future." Eugene said with a smirk. Anna looked at the pictures then back at him. "Eugene, you freaking genius! These are perfect, where'd you get them?" Anna asked, hugging the suave journalist with an excited squeal. Eugene hugged back. "A good journalist never reveals their sources. Now I- OW! Son of a b-" As Eugene was speaking, the two didn't notice the hurried footsteps coming up behind Anna, and they had no warning of the frying pan that came down hard against Eugene's head. "Get off of my cousin you creep!" Rapunzel yelled, bring the frying pan up to slam into Eugene's body again. Anna quickly grabbed the girl's wrist while she took the pan away with her other hand. "Rapunzel! What the hell? Why did you do that?" Anna asked the girl as she bent down to check on the bleeding Eugene. Rapunzel looked confused. "Wha? I- I thought he was… He wasn't trying to…? I heard you scream! I thought…" Rapunzel looked back and forth between Anna and the strange pizza guy lying on the ground. Anna soon picked up on what Rapunzel was saying. She left Eugene's side and hugged her cousin. "No. No. Not that. Never that, ever again. It's ok, I'm ok." Anna reassured the brunette who had begun to tear up. "Well I'm not!" Eugene screamed from the ground, holding his head. Rapunzel noticed the hurt raven haired pizza guy. "I'm sorry! I hear my cousin scream and I come out here to see the pizza guy hugging her!" she told him, defending her actions. "She hugged me first!" he responded. Rapunzel looked over at Anna with a raised brow. "Why were you hugging the pizza guy?" she asked suspiciously. "Um, because he has great deals?" was her answer, sounding like more of a question. Eugene rolled his eyes and struggled to get back on his feet. "I'm Flynn. Flynn Ryder? You've probably heard of me."
"No, I haven't." Rapunzel instantly said. Eugene ignored her interruption and continued talking. "I work with your cousin." He finished. Rapunzel looked back at Anna. "You work at a pizza place? I thought you were a journalist?" she asked. Eugene face palmed and instantly yelped in pain. "I'm not really a pizza guy, ok?! I have many fluff jobs I use for covers, and when I heard the order for this address I thought it would be a good opportunity to drop off some info! I guess I was wrong, so if you ladies will excuse me, I'm going to try to make it to the emergency room because I'm pretty sure I have a concussion. Good bye Anna and… you are…?" he asked the brunette. His eyes had been closed the entire time from the pain, and there was a distinct ringing in his ears. "Rapunzel." The brunette responded. Eugene's eyes instantly opened as he stared at the beautiful short haired brunette. Straightening up as best he could, he leaned against the door frame and smirked, instantly trying to turn on the charm. "Hi, Rapunzel was it?" he asked the girl. Lowering his voice and leaning in closer to the slightly creeped out brunette. "Uh, yeah…" she said, slowly backing into the apartment. Eugene stood in the doorway still smiling. "So you're the cousin I've heard so much about?" he asked smoothly. "I literally just told you about her. And I only told you her name." Anna said to the boy. Eugene ignored her as he continued to stare at Rapunzel. "Um, ye- yeah. That's me I guess… But I- oh what's that Elsa? I'm coming buddy! Sorry, I need to go now. Take it easy Finn." Rapunzel told the raven haired journalist as she made a hasty exit to a confused Elsa. "It's Flynn!" he called out, followed by a wistful sigh.
"No, it's Eugene, and I think it's time for you to leave now, you've done enough." Anna told the concussed man. Eugene blanched. "Wha- What the heck did I do?" he asked offended. Anna rolled her eyes. "Ugh, nothing I guess, just… we're kinda in the middle of something, and you really need to leave now." The redhead said, grabbing the pizzas out of the pizza warmer and heading back inside. "You got this for us right? Ok, thanks bye." Anna said, hurriedly retreating back into the apartment and closing the door in Eugene's face. Eugene blinked twice before knocking on the door and calling out to Anna. "Anna! Anna! No way, what the heck am I supposed to tell Oaken?" he asked in disbelief. Anna giggled. "Tell him you got mugged with a frying pan! Thanks Eugene, you're the best!" Anna said through the door. She then turned around and sashayed back into the living room. Eugene sighed and straighten his shirt back out, placing his Oaken's Pizza cap back on his head. "Ugh, again…"
AN: So this chapter and the next is just purely fluff. I wanted to give you a break from drama for a bit, but after these chapters we're heading back in. So get ready guys. :)
