The large bear-like creature was raising the arms in the air, growling and holding the yelping captain.
"Aarrrrr!" Roy's limbs kept moving around.
The beast brought the Stingray in front of his nose, as he sniffed loudly… he snorted loudly, while grimacing and carrying the man away from him.
"Har har har!" He grinned. "What be th' matter? Ye canna handle a rum-filled Stingray?"
RROOOOOOAAAAARRR!
The creature threw the man away.
"AAAARRRRRRRR!"
Hun's eyes expanded, as he turned behind.
"M-Mirii!" He grabbed the fence with his tentacles, while standing vertically and staring at the girl. "We have to stop that monster! He's going to destroy us all!"
Mirii frowned.
"… hang in there, Hunley!" She sprinted towards the cage.
Bending down on her knees, her hands grabbed the cage and began tilting backwards with all her strength. Greta rushed past Mirii, stopping on the other side of the cage and stretched her arms, while her hands were on the top edge.
"Nnnnn…!" Mirii's eyes squeezed.
SLAM!
The claw went through the floor, as the blast pushed the cage and the girls towards the opened door. Mirii rolled backwards, passing near Bars: the boy was sitting on the floor, as the cage slammed and pushed him back down. Greta flew past the cage, sliding on the floor with her stomach.
Abandon base!
I dasn't want t' be a meat!
Stinglings were running after the stairs, in the far distance, as some of them even dropped off their own weapons.
RROOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRR!
The fur-covered beast beat his chest, opening his mouth wide. Greta jumped back up, as her head twisted over the fallen Inklings and the cage.
"Stand up! Come on!" She rushed towards Mirii, showing her hands in front of her face.
Mirii opened her eyes, watching the fingers… jerkily, her hands-
BLAAM!
The ground shook, as Greta stumbled while opening her arms and expanding her eyes.
"Ow, ow…" Bars rose his back, lowering his eyelids to the middle. "… like, what happened…?" His hand scratched the back of his head, looking around-
"Get up, Bars!" Greta frowned, bringing her hands in front of Mirii's face. "Pick up that cage and burn the road!"
BLAAM!
The boy enlarged his eyes, immediately raising back up. Mirii grabbed the hands, as Greta pulled her upwards. Bars took a few steps, before reaching the cage and grabbing it with both his hands, raising it above his head.
"Girl, the weapons!" His head pointed at his fallen Roller weapon.
Greta ran past him.
"Forget them! We gotta save the feet, first!"
The boy looked back at the running girl, watching her moving closer and closer to-
"YOU IDIOT!" Mirii grabbed his shirt, pulling him with her. "MOVE!"
Bars began running, as the girl left her grip and rushed even faster.
"GO, GO!" She turned her shoulders behind for a brief moment. "AND LOWER THE CAGE!"
BLAAM!
"Uff, uff!" Bars stumbled, as more dust fell from the ceiling. "G-give me a pair of rocket shoes…!" His teeth gritted.
"I-I… urgh…" Sweat covered Mirii's face. "… I-I need to sleep…" She slowed down. "I-I had enough running and…"
Her shoulders shook off the Ink Tank behind her, throwing it on the right wall. She groaned loudly, raising her head.
"Move it, girl!" Bars held his hand on Mirii's back, pushing her.
BLAAM!
"Nnnngggggggggghhh!" Her eyes squeezed, pushing her teeth to the max.
"Mirii…!" Hun was standing vertically, looking at the girl. "… don't give up!"
Her eyes opened wide, same for her mouth.
"Please…" Hun frowned. "… you can do this!"
Mirii kept her facial expression… before frowning and accelerating, leaving Bars' hand behind. Her feet reached the first steps, climbing each of them while yelling. Greta was standing at the top, while moving her arm behind her, repeatedly.
"The monster is going away!" She resumed her running. "Keep running!"
Mirii jumped above the last steps, landing on the floor and following her friend. Bars was panting loudly, crossing one more step before rushing in the direction of the two Inklings. A Flyer flew past them, followed by a smaller one.
RROOOOOOAAAARRRR!
Greta jumped on the wooden ramp, immediately slowing down her pace before stopping and lowering her hands on her knees. Mirii bounced, sliding for a bit and holding her feet on the ramp: she was breathing loudly, sweating all over the place.
Bars sprung from the deck, as his left foot touched the ramp's board and tripping down on his belly: the cage slammed on the deck, advancing in a slide until it reached Mirii's legs.
"… uuuuuuffff…" The boy flipped backwards.
The main deck immerged inside the sea, as the masts were sinking in a fast pace. Mirii turned to her left, catching the monster running after a turn in between rocky walls, while being chased by the two Flyers.
"… we can't go back home, like this…" Her head shook slowly, as she swallowed silently.
"Are you kidding me…?" Greta twisted behind, while frowning. "W-we can't stay here with that monster"
"Greta…" Mirii panted for a bit. "… I'm too tired to walk all the way back home…"
"W-we just need to reach the car…!" Greta's arms opened wide. "Wh-where did you parked it…?"
"The car was left on the road…" Mirii's wrist drenched her forehead, as her eyelids lowered to the middle. "… I don't even know where the car could be…"
"Sh-shoot!" Greta slammed her foot on the ramp. "Shoot!" Her fists clenched.
"Zzz…"
Mirii turned behind: Bars had his eyes closed and his mouth opened, with his hands on his belly.
"… there is no way we can reach the"
"Ah, right!" Greta's hand moved over her clothes, picking up her smartphone and carrying it in front of her face. "Let me call back home…!" Her thumbs were tapping the screen, as she smiled. "Th-they are going to pick us up…!"
ROOAAARRR!
"Curses…!" Mirii lowered down on her knees, moving the boy back and forth with her hands. "Wake up, Bars…!"
"Zzz!" His eyes opened a bit, as some saliva went out of his mouth. "Wh…"
"Bars, wake up…" The girl stands back up. "The monster is coming back…!"
Hun's irises tilted to the sides.
"I wonder where all the Stingrays went…"
"I saw Flyers picking them up on their backs." Greta twisted away from the cage, as she took some steps forward. "Oh, Mr. Shollen? It's Greta speaking."
Heavy sounds were coming from the left: the girl shivered.
"Listen up!" She swallowed silently, increasing her pace. "We are quite in trouble in here… could you please send a car over us or somethin'?"
Slowly, Bars stands back up…
"Pick that cage, Bars." Mirii began walking towards the beginning of the ramp. "We must"
Heeeelp!
The girl stopped on her feet, expanding her eyes.
"… the scientist!" Her head twisted to the right, catching a small entrance past the river. "Is he all the way over there?!"
