Tell Me How To Fix You

Chapter 37

By: The Duchess of Arendelle

AN: Hi everyone. I hope you all enjoy this chapter. Just remember, don't hate me for what my happen ok? Ok. Sorry for any and all mistakes. Enjoy!

*I wanna see you out that door, baby bye bye bye, bye bye!*

Anna was startled awake by the sound of her phone blaring loudly in her ear. Clumsily and in true Anna fashion, she rolled out of bed and hit the floor. Hard. Not even bothering to try and get back up, she felt around her bedside table for her still ringing phone. She placed her hand on it's hard slick frame and snatched it up. Sleepily she answered, face pressed against the carpet of her bedroom floor.

"Mmhmm… H-elloo?"

"Anna?" The voice on the other end asked in slight amusement.

"Yea… Whas it… who?" The redhead groggily spoke into the phone. She heard a giggle come over the line as she began to become more alert.

"It's me Anna, Aurora? Or have you forgotten about your poor friends already?" She asked in false sadness. At that, Anna slowly sat up and leaned her back against the bed. Rubbing at her eyes and yawning, she smiled and spoke into the receiver.

"No, I haven't forgotten about you guys. I've just been extremely busy lately." She told the blonde as she stretched her arms over her head. With her cell tucked between her cheek and shoulder, she got off the floor and began making her way into the kitchen. Her kitchen. Now that she and Elsa were no longer officially a couple, she had decided that it may be best if she went back to sleeping in her own apartment. Neither Elsa or Anna were too happy about the decision, but they decided it needed to be done. Anna passed Rapunzel sleeping sloppily on the couch and lightly kicked the girl's leg. Rapunzel made a snorting sound as she stirred, but quickly went back to sleep. Her attempt to rouse the girl had failed and Anna rolled her eyes as she continued on into the small kitchenette.

"So what do I owe the pleasure of this call?" Anna asked as she turned on the ancient coffee maker and crossed her fingers that it would work this time. As the red light came on and the sound of the coffee brewing filled the room, she did a little happy dance.

"Well, I've been elected by your fellow associates/friends, to call you and invite you out to lunch. Since you've elected to exile yourself from us." Aurora informed her in a serious tone. Anna knew the girl was joking and again she rolled her eyes. "Oh really? And when, may I ask, will I be sequested to join you all?"

"3 o' clock." She answered simply.

Anna laughed lightly and went over to her refrigerator to get the milk for her coffee.

"Oh shit!" she exclaimed as she read the note she'd left for herself:

'Han's party. Thursday 8 p.m. Get dress and shoes. DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!'

And wait until the last minute she had. Aurora was calling her name on the other end, concerned. "Anna? Anna are you ok? What happened?" she asked the redhead. Anna groaned loudly. "I forgot all about Han's business party thing. I promised I would accompany him and it's today! I didn't get a dress or shoes or anything." Anna groaned again as she hit her forehead against the refrigerator's door multiple times.

Aurora stayed silent on the other end for a while. She didn't like the sound of that, and she wondered what Hans was up to now. Anna called out to her which brought her out of her thoughts. "Rora, what should I do?" the redhead asked panicked. Aurora couldn't help but smile at Anna's tone. She sounded like such a child right now and Aurora had to keep reminding herself that at 21, she practically was.

"Ok, ok. Calm down Anna. Deep breaths. Look, I know of a little boutique in town that sales fabulous formal dresses. It's called Ella's Boutique. Go there and tell Ella that Aurora sent you. She'll give you a fantastic deal. Now, I need to get back to work. So, 3 o' clock? You'll be there? At Oakens?" Aurora finished, double checking to see if the redhead was still in. Anna had been writing down the information Aurora was giving her. She nodded her head in agreement then realized that the blonde couldn't see her.

"Yep. 3 o' clock. Oakens. I'll be there. See you then." She spoke happily as she took a sip of her coffee. Aurora smiled at the confirmation. "Alright, see you." She responded and was about to cut the call when Anna yelled out her name.

"Aurora wait!" she called back to her friend.

"Yes?"

"Thanks for this, you saved my butt." She told the blonde sincerely. Aurora giggled.

"No problem. Now get dressed and head out there. It's 10 o' clock and you have a busy day ahead." Aurora told the younger girl before bidding her farewell again and hanging up.

Anna sighed and sat her phone on the counter. Lying her head down on the cool surface next to it, she closed her eyes. Yeah, she did have a busy day ahead of her, a very busy one. For a second she let her mind wonder to Elsa. She knew the blonde would be awake by now and wondered what she was doing. The redhead had to fight every instinct in herself that was telling her to go over there and check up on the blonde. But she didn't. She was trying to give Elsa a little space so instead, she picked up her phone and called the only guy she knew she could force to go shopping with her.

"Hello?" the slightly gruff voice answered.

"Hi Kristoff, are you doing anything this morning?"

"Anna? I haven't heard from you in like a week! Sven, its Anna boy. 'Hi Anna, we missed youu.'" Kristoff said the last part in his Sven voice. "To answer your question, no I'm not doing anything today." He answered her as he sat on his floor, petting Sven. Anna smiled brightly.

"Great! That means you're free to accompany me and Punz dress shopping!" she said excitedly.

"What?"

"What?" both Rapunzel and Kristoff both asked at the same time. Anna turned around to see the girl waking up. She was stretching and yawning and had just tuned in to her cousin's conversation.

"I have a business engagement with Hans tonight and I need to buy an outfit for it. I figured my two best friends in the whole wide world would help me." Anna said in her sweetest voice. Rapunzel rolled her eyes, and she could imagine Kristoff was doing the same.

"Look, I'll buy you both a pizza for lunch tomorrow." Anna began to bargain as both of her friends remained silent.

"Make it two." Her two companions said simultaneously. Anna sighed. "You guys are charlatans. Fine two. Now hurry up and get ready, I'll be over in 10." She told Kristoff and then hung up. Anna looked over at Rapunzel who was standing up and stretching again. Making her way over to her cousin, she grabbed the redhead's cup of coffee out of her hand and started drinking it.

"Um, excuse me, there's an entire coffee pot of fresh coffee right there." Anna scoffed as she stared at her younger cousin guzzling her coffee down. She didn't mind much, she was more a hot chocolate sort of gal anyway. But still. Principles.

"What? You looked like you were done with it." Rapunzel stated with a smirk. Anna was about to open her mouth to say something, but closed it instead and shook her head. That was her cousin for you. Instead, she opted to go into her bathroom and freshen up. By the time she came back out, Rapunzel was already fully dressed in a pair of jean shorts, a pink tee, and a simple beanie. Anna looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"You do know it's almost winter right?" she asked her cousin as she passed the brunette to retrieve her coat from the rack near the door. Rapunzel shrugged. "What's your point?" she asked. Anna shook her head. "My point is, you always dress like its spring time, even in the cold. If you catch the flu or a something, I'm not taking care of you." Anna responded, grabbing her keys off the counter and heading back towards the door. Rapunzel smiled. "Yes you will." She replied in a sing-song voice, following after the redhead. Anna huffed but didn't try to argue. It was true.

"At least grab a jacket."

****************************FROZEN**********************************

"Miss Frost? We're ready to start the meeting whenever you are." A tall lean man with a thick French accent and black hair slicked back with an excessive amount of gel told her, pulling Elsa out of her thoughts of Anna. She wondered what the fiery redhead was doing right now. Before Anna reluctantly left the previous evening, she'd recommended Elsa get some more work done in her company. If she had something to distract her, then she wouldn't think about wanting to clean and straighten everything. She'd have something to occupy her mind. So, without being able to sleep anyway, she'd stayed up all night, pouring over varies documents after documents, looking over numbers and statistics, trying to see how she could improve things. And she had found more than a few flaws, especially in the designs for the new Frost Palace they were building overseas in Switzerland. So she called a surprise meeting to discuss the issues. And surprise it was. To everyone. Elsa had never taken the initiative to call a meeting. In fact, it had always felt like the blonde was being forced to be there. But now, Elsa seemed focused and ready to talk about what needed to be done.

The blonde was exhausted, but filled with too much energy to rest. Her eyes were slightly red and everyone pretended not to notice the bags under the young CEO's eyes. She listen to the people talk and responded with her own two sense. Before her parents... accident… she had attended one of the most prestigious business schools in the country… along with Hans. She'd even received a degree in business, but she dropped out the next year when she'd gotten the news about her parents.

Her true passion had always been architecture, but she'd never told anyone about that, not even her father. She knew that he wanted her to take over his company one day and she didn't want to disappoint him. That worked out great. Snapping back into attention, she sat up straighter in her chair when they came to the issue of the new hotel.

"I thank the designs is jus' fine. We got our best architects workin' on it. I don' see what tha problem is." A fat southern man with white hair and a matching white beard told her. He was one of the ones that didn't like the fact that she could, "Jus waltz in here outta nowhere and start ta firing us an' makin' decisions."

Elsa closed her eyes for a second then focused on the men and women on the screen. "The designs may be, 'Just fine.', but we're looking for more than that. The new Frost Palace resorts are supposed to be an impressive achievement to what Frost Industries can accomplish. The designs your architects have come up with are mediocre at best." She began, pulling up the layouts on her tablet and displaying it on the right hand corner of the screen. "Not to mention the building materials you are trying to get approved are cheap, and the interior decorations look like their coming from a Sears." Elsa began to cut into the project, breaking down all its flaws and laying them out in front of the executives.

Some of the executives nodded their heads in agreement, while others rolled their eyes and quietly scoffed. "Listen' missy, those materials are good. Buyin' more expensive ones would drive the project cost up millions. By cuttin' lil' old corners like this saves us a whole lotta green." The man spoke up again. Elsa shot a glare his way. She didn't have time for this. She was really tired and she had begun to feel sick. Clearing her throat, she spoke in a deadly calm voice.

"Firstly it's Miss Frost, not missy. Secondly, if buying quality materials drives the cost up then so be it. My father always treasured quality over anything else. If you don't agree with that, no one is stopping you from leaving. The door is right there, I'm sure you know how to use it." The room remained silent as the large white haired man sputtered, mouth opening and closing, not knowing what to say.

Finally, the French man with the slicked black hair spoke up again. "I agree with you 100% Miss Frost. I think that the Frost Palace design should have a total re-haul. Your father was all about thinking big, I can see you got that from him." He told Elsa with a genuine smile. Elsa blushed slightly at that. The man, Mr. Cortier, continued.

"We can start from scratch and look into new, better materials. We can have the best of the best decorate the interior and exterior. The tower will be built at a much larger, taller scale! This could very well be Frost Industries crowning achievement Madame!" Mr. Cortier said excitedly. His enthusiasm spread among the other board members, and soon those who were scoffing were now somewhat reluctantly accepting the idea. There were still a few who didn't look convinced, and one older lady with black and white hair and an obnoxious smoker's voice spoke up.

"Are you all mad? Starting over from scratch may very well set us back months, if not a year! Plus all these changes, hiring new staff, developers, engineers, the costs alone… how is this going to affect us and our bonuses?" she questioned angrily.

Before Elsa could say anything, Mr. Cortier spoke up. "Ms. DeMille, I would think you would have a little more respect for the President of our company. Miss Frost obviously feels close to this project and wants it to reach its best and highest potential. No matter the cost, delays, or cutbacks, it is our job to give the people the best of the best, no matter what it is we produce. If I may refer you back to what Miss Frost said earlier, if you don't like it, the door is to your left mademoiselle." Ms. DeMille huffed and sat back in her chair, frown planted on her face and arms crossed like a petulant child. Mr. Cortier looked at Elsa and smiled with a wink. Elsa smiled back gratefully.

They continued to talk for another hour or so until the meeting finally came to an end. Everyone shuffled out the conference room except Mr. Cortier. He asked if he could speak with Elsa alone before she left. Elsa nodded and waited for the last person to leave before he spoke.

"You did tres fantastic today Miss Frost. The passion you had was something I haven't seen from anyone in this company in a long time. You truly did you father proud today." He told her sincerely. Elsa looked away and blushed. She didn't think so. "I don't know about that. The only thing I did was point out the things that needed to be fixed." She said in a low voice. "And you didn't let those idiots push you around. You held fast to what you believed would be best for the company. How could you're father ask for anything more in a heir and a daughter?" he asked her with a bright smile. Elsa didn't reply. She didn't know what to say to that, because to her, just by still being stuck in her apartment and her insatiable need to clean was her continuing to let him down.

Clearing his throat, he brought Elsa's attention back to him. He had a small excited small on his face as he straighten in his seat and dropped the bomb on Elsa. "Madame Frost, I think you should headline the Frost Palace project." He told her, smile still in place. Elsa was gob smacked. She couldn't believe what he was suggesting. "Excuse me?" she asked incredulously. Cortier continued. "I think you should be in charge of the Frost Palace project. You should personally overlook the designing and construction. You have such incredible ideas, and I saw the passion in your eyes when you talked about the architecture. You have a vision Madame Frost, and you should let the entire world see it.

Elsa stared at the man and tried her best to comprehend what he was saying. He wanted her to be in complete control over a project of this caliber? Like he'd said earlier, this could very well be Frost Industries crowning achievement, and he wanted her to head it? She felt her heart rate increase as she stared at him. The color seemed to have drained from her face and she looked as bad as she felt. Cortier's brows furrowed as he looked at her in concern.

"Miss Frost, are you alright? Do you need medical attention?" he asked her. Elsa quickly shook her head no as she swallowed down the bile that was rising in her throat. "I- I'm fine…. Just a little… overwhelmed is all." She responded barely above a whisper. Cortier nodded his head in understanding.

"Well Miss Frost, you don't have to answer now. But I would like it if you took your time to really think over it, and then you can tell me your decision in about a week and a half? At the next meeting?" he asked the blonde. Elsa nodded her head wordlessly. Cortier gave a prompt and courteous goodbye and Elsa returned it as best she could.

Well. That did not go as expected. Yes, she had went into the meeting feeling more confident then she had in a long time. But what made Mr. Cortier think she could handle something this big? Technically, she had only been working there for less than a month.

Sighing, she laid her head on the cool surface of her oak desk. She stared at her cell phone lying beside her and thought about picking it up and calling Anna. She shook her head and decided against it. She was probably busy doing something anyway and she didn't want to seem clingy. Just then her phone began to ring and she quickly picked it up, thinking it was the redhead.

"Hello?" she answered eagerly.

"Hello? May I speak to Anna please?" a male voice asked on the other end. Elsa frowned at the slightly familiar voice.

"I'm sorry, she's not here. This isn't her cell number. May I ask whose call-"

"Elsa?" the voice on the other end cut her off. Elsa frowned even deeper. Who was this and how did they know her name.

"Elsa? Is that you? It's me, Hans." The side burned boy responded when he didn't hear her say anything.

"… Hans? Why are you calling my phone asking for Anna?" she asked, partly confused, partly angry.

"This is the number she gave me last week." He lied. He'd gotten the number from an unnamed source. An unnamed source with brown hair and a soul patch.

"I was just calling to check and see if Anna and I were still on for our date tonight… But wow, Elsa, I haven't heard from you since your parents croaked." He continued with a smirk, pretending like what he'd just said wasn't offensive.

Elsa's heart dropped into her stomach. It was a double hit. Him bringing up her parents death, and him informing her that he and Anna were supposed to be going out on a date tonight. And suddenly it all made since. The excuse that she and Anna were "Taking a break to fix ourselves." was just a load of bullshit. She'd tried to breakup with the poor little crazy chick the nicest way possible so she could go out on a date with this scumbag. Elsa didn't know wither to cry, scream, break something, or clean. She was going for E. All of the above, when she heard Hans speak again.

"Listen Psycho Sally, just tell Anna I called for her and uh, I can't wait to be with her tonight." And with that, he hung up, smirk still in place. His informant had told him of a possible romantic relationship going on between her and Anna. And now the seed of deceit had been thoroughly planted.

Elsa dropped the phone to the floor. So many emotions were running through her head right now she didn't know which one to choose and go with. She settled on sinking to her office floor and putting her arms around herself as she rocked and cried.

This was not happening.

AN: DRAMA. Hans is such a dick, I wish he'd just die already. And that's coming from the author. Anyway, I had to stop here for today, because if I kept going, this chapter would end up being around 6 or 7,000 words. So yeah, I'm going to pick up where I left off next chapter, just think of it as one really long chapter.

Hope you guys liked it. Leave me a review or P.M. if you have any questions. And remember, don't worry.

Show of hands, how many of you wish Hans would get hit with a car…. And that you were driving said car? \(^_^)
