"Wh-what I am doing?!" Mirii was panting, while running on the hallway. "I should had used stealth tactics against that inept!"

From the distance, her eyes were seeing the golden statue leaning near the wall on the right.

"I must be near the stairs, judging from that statue's position." Her head rose.

"UFF! STOOOP!"

Mirii turned behind, watching the woman stumbling while panting and keeping her mouth open.

"I'M… I'M GOING TO CALL THE POLIIICCEE…!" She drenched her forehead with her wrist.

A sweat drop appeared on Mirii's head, lowering her eyelids to the middle and turning back forward.

"… such obese fool cannot be a threat to me." Her head shook slowly. "Thus, I shouldn't run like this… especially after I took all this time with my bath!" She sighed. "… but I must reach Hunley and Fara as soon as possible. Any more delays are unacceptable at this point!"

She gritted her teeth, as her feet ran gradually faster than before. She turned slightly on the left, aiming at the stairs ahead. A flat cap was raising from behind the steps, together with Sheldon's glasses: he stopped, as he smiled.

"Good morning, Mirii!" He began pointing upwards, waving his forefinger. "What's the rush"

"Good morning, Sheldon!" Mirii passed near him, while stepping on two steps at the time.

The man turned in the direction of the girl, while keeping his previous expression and posture.

"… I hope you are around the house, later on!" He clapped. "I have plenty of weapons to"

"Aaaannffff… aaannnfff…"

"Hmm?" Sheldon returned forward.

The woman was bending on her knees, resting her claws on each of them. She took a few steps, before throwing her arms on the stair rail and watch Mirii running after the main entrance.

"What's happening?" Sheldon took the last steps, before standing on the floor.

"… she's going… uff… she's going after those kids…" She groaned.

The girl slowed down, panting silently. Her hand landed against the door, before sliding on the handle.

"I just took a bath and I'm already sweating uncontrollably!" She frowned, while opening the door and walking out of the hall. "Grrrrrr… if I'm going to rage uncontrollably too, I will rush over my mother's house and let her slap me on the face! Multiple times too!"

Her eyes squeezed, as she was about to arrive in front of the left stairs.

"No more failure from my part… NO MORE!" Her eyes opened wide, watching some of the trees and bushes. "Where did those two go?!"

She stepped down, while turning around and watch the fountain for a brief moment.

"… I can't hide my curiosity over the outside field." Her head rose. "But rushing all around this place, doesn't allow me to satisfy the need… especially with this hurry I have inside." She frowned. "What I would give to shake such ridiculous feeling off my head…"

Her frown grew a bit more, once she stepped out of the stairs.

"… no, no! What am I thinking?! Remember, Mirii!" Her eyes squeezed. "I want to meet Hunley! I want to see him feeling fine too!" She blushed, mentally looking at him smiling back. "… no, I can't disappoint his expectations."

The girl walked to the right, as she passed near the fountain and kept looking her surroundings.

"Speaking of him, I prefer visiting the outside area properly with Hunley, rather than doing it alone…"

She stopped, turning her head to the left and inspecting the gate with her sight.

"… no, they are not on this part of the villa." Her head rose. "The only place I haven't checked is the backside of this building." She resumed her walk, facing forward. "I think that woman gave up chasing me…"

She turned back over the stairs, seeing the upper side of the main door for a split second, before aiming at the tree with the wavy leafs.

"Phew! I can hold a moderate pace, then."

Her irises fell a bit, holding on a purple ball sitting on the grass. Her mouth opened a bit.

"Does Greta play with a ball? … no, wait." She snorted. "Fara might be playing with such thing."

Her head rose, as she was getting closer and closer to the ball.

"If that's true, it means I'm on the right track." She nodded. "Although, I could still inspect the ball properly…"

Her steps landed farther than before, as her back was leaning in the same direction. Once her feet were about a few inches away from the ball, they pressed down and stamped the soft ground below. Kneeing down, her hands picked up the round object, carrying it in front of her head.

She spun it once in a direction… then, in another.

"No… no, no, no." Her head shook. "This ball doesn't hold any evidence that could help me out. It's just an average toy and nothing el"

Her ears rose.

"… I heard a noise!" She frowned, twisting her head over the bushes and trees nearby. "A non-natural noise too!"

Frush.

Her irises went up, tracking down the tallest tree of the bunch. She squeezed her eyes almost completely.

"Hmpf! Of course I would find out the creature who dares to challenge my sharp eyes…"

Her hands grasped the ball… as she jumped forward and threw it, in the direction of the upper leafs.

PAF!

"Whoa!"

The ball bounced back, entering inside another tree's collection of leafs.

Thump!

"Ohi, ohi, ohi…!"

Mirii sprinted over the source of the voice, as she jumped past a bush and landed in front of an Inkling man, laying down on the grass. A pair of glasses were sitting behind him, while his hand was massaging his forehead.

His light-brown hat fell on the grass too, as he groaned and lifted his shoulders 45°.

"A Paparazzi." Mirii folded her arms, grimacing and slowly shaking her head. "As if I hadn't enough predicaments already…"

"Ow, ow…!" The man's small eyes blinked, as he immediately climbed back up, shaking off the dust off his clothes. "Yo-you truly hit me good with that ball…!" He groaned.

"I can hit you even better with a Charger…" Her head rose. "Unless you are wise enough to leave this garden, before I have the chance to grab my weapon."

"I-I will leave, I will leave!" His hands went in front of his face, as sweat jumped out from his head. "Just give me the time to climb this tree back, ok?!"

Mirii's hands went on her hips.

"No, wait..." She growled. "… have you recorded anything?!"

"Nothing!" The man jumped on the tree, as he began climbing rapidly. "I did nothing!"

"I order you to deliver your equipment to me!" Mirii gritted her teeth, sprinting towards the tree.

Her eyes were watching the man disappearing back inside the tree's leafs.

"Leave me alone, please!" His voice was coming from the tree's leafs. "I-I wanted to make some photographs on Greta… I didn't wanted to find you and those other two Inklings!"

"You found other Inklings?!" Her eyes expanded.

"A boy and a smaller girl, I'm sure. I didn't gave a great look on their faces, because I saw them disappearing as soon as I peeked outside!"

Mirii's mouth opened wide.

"They used the paper in front of a stranger!"

Frush!

The man jumped off the tree, going above the wall.

"Nnnnnnnggghh!" Her fingers went in front of her mouth. "I must warn the Shrine, before the situation gets out of hand…!"
