"Hold!"

The Security officer said as he ran down the lane, making sure everyone was positioned in the correct formation.

"Do not pull the trigger till you could see the mask of the Reunion!"

As he returned to his own position, the sound of the barricade being tore down could be heard.

The workers were afraid, to say the least, they had not seen a battlefield or been to a skirmish before. Most of them were living safely behind the protection of other factions, mainly the Black Steel.

The female mercenary tapped her hand on the hand crank, impatiently waiting for the Reunion to break in. "Come on, Come on."

The Reunion finally poured into the breach that they made, first the drones and smaller frames soldiers.

"First rank, Fire!" The officer shouted as he pulls the trigger of his rifle. The mix of workers and inexperience security troopers unloaded their rounds into the incoming waves.

"Not enough, not enough!" the female mercenary shouted. She wasn't commenting on the speed of pulling the triggers but the amount pouring out of the breach.

"Second rank, Fire!"

The order was given, troopers raised from their cover and began firing over the elevated angles, a few feet above the head of the first rank.

There was a smile on the female mercenary face as she saw heavily armored units began cluttering together. Her hand began to spin the crank, releasing hail of bullets towards the direction.

"Ha! Ha! Ha!" The workers could hear the laughter from the female mercenary amongst the sound of gunfire.

Bullets ripped through those who were lightly armored, creating dents on the shields. Those who were brave enough to take on the endless hail of bullets, fell to the ground.

The female mercenary wasn't shy on using the ammunition given to her by the workers. She shifted her gatling gun from the right to the left while spinning the crank, sharing the love of this beautiful death machine to all that came into the breach.

There was no retreat even facing the overwhelming firepower. This was clear to the mercenary as she stopped for a moment.

"Cease fire, Cease fire!" The officer shouted with hand gesture.

The guns remained silent as the Reunions collected the wounded back to safety.

"Retreat! We promise not to shoot you if you agree to retreat!" The officer shouted as he peered out of the cover.

"What are you doing?" The Mercenary looked down from her position. "Are you serious in negotiating with the enemies?"

"They are in no shape to fight; we do not need to fight to the death."

The mercenary shook her head in disbelief.

"Do you expect them to simply grab their wounded and leave? They are going to keep coming till one side is destroy."

"You don't know that, for all we know, they could have no other choice but force to attack."

As they spoke, the mercenary could see a red laser aiming at the head of the officer. Without wasting a second, the mercenary kicked the officer aside as the bullet graze her thigh.

"Sniper!" the mercenary returned back to her Gatling gun, feeling the blood dripping from her fresh gun wound. A few workers and troopers were shot as she shout out situation.

"Where are they?!" the mercenary asked as she began firing the gatling gun.

Her eyes scanned the battlefield. Behind the shields? Behind the crates?

As the hail of bullets smashed against the shields, she spotted a red laser sight moving amongst the dead that were piled up.

"Dead bodies! Snipers hiding behind the dead bodies!"

The mercenary had no problems aiming her gun at the dead bodies; however, she did not expect the reaction from the people around her.

"Those aren't dead bodies! They are alive!" one of the workers cried out, tackling the mercenary off her Gatling gun.

"What are you talking about!" The mercenary tried to wrestle the worker off her.

"They are alive! We …. We must not shoot the wounded!"

"Are you crazy?!" The mercenary looked into the worker's eyes, understanding the non-experience combatants had reach their breaking point. In-fighting amongst the ranks could be seen as the Reunion moved their lines forward, picking off and killing any stragglers that did not surrender in time.

[Rhodes island – few hours before the fight]

Nearl and Amiya left the room, their mood and attitude defeated by the words of Undertaker. Something within Sage told him to catch up to the two.

"Hey-"

Sage wanted to call them. His right hand reached out towards Nearl.

His eyes widen as the images of Nearl and Amiya changed into two haunting figures from his past. He bit onto his lip as his left hand forcefully retracts his right hand.

The figures faded away as Nearl and Amiya turned around.

Sage maintained his composure.

"Hey, look. I'm sorry about what my boss said. She does that, out of habit." Sage said, making sure he doesn't reveal much of Undertaker past. "Her words may be cruel at times but she wanted people to see both sides before jumping into conclusion."

Nearl and Amiya looked at each other.

"We accept your apologies on behalf of your superior." Amiya replied.

"Your boss, she spoke of a point that we have grown numb towards." Nearl continued, "We fought believing what is right, not once did we consider the other side view as the times goes on."

"So… we are cool?"

Nearl and Amiya nodded their heads.

"Great. Great. And the apology? You are going to hear it from my mouth just this once. So best for you to forget about that part." Sage scratched his head in embarrassment as he hopes to keep up his image.

The three of them looked at the other before bursting into small laughter.

"Alert! Black Steel manufacturing plant is under attack! All operators please report to the Command centre!"

The three raced as soon as the alert went off.

"You did that on purpose, didn't you?" Kal'tsit said as she wrapped up Berserker's wounds.

"I have no idea what do you meant by that. All my actions have a purpose." Undertaker replied back with a smile on her face, as if nothing had happened.

"You might be more dangerous than you are willing to let on."

"I will take that as a compliment." Undertaker briefly replied a message on her communication device.
