Mirii was stepping on the black and white tiles, with the latter shyly reflecting back one of her shoes. A line of various lockers were covering every inch of the wall, each were sporting either a pink, a yellow or an orange. Some of them had a sticker of a Squid making a happy face or positioned in a sliding position.
"… this scent is so nice." She smiled, moving over a flat bench with the handles missing. "If this Happy Squid Land happens to sell this product in particular, I must buy it as soon as possible."
She giggled, sitting down on the bench and turning herself around, while laying down the box on her side without looking at it.
"I can't stop looking at this changing room in general, though…" Her shoulders rose, as her hands went on her legs. "Should I even get myself prepared? I feel so satisfied admiring all those lockers…! The scent is really adding more on the delicate flavor this room already has. I'm almost surprised at how it is even possible to permit such situational room reach this magnificent level of finesse…!"
Mirii moved her legs back and forth, as they were almost touching the floor.
"This is truly perfection… I can't deny it in any shape or form."
Her eyes closed.
"I'm feeling much better now… I wonder if the effects of this tea are rather volatile and"
Her ears rose.
"… uhm?" She reopened her eyes, turning her head to the left.
A faint snort was quietly coming through the air… the girl kept looking around, seeing a mirror on the right side with a white platform on the bottom edge and a tentacledryer on it.
"… it's probably from the outside." Mirii smiled. "The more I'm out of any trouble, the easier I can keep my happiness this high… why don't I check out this guide book in the meantime?"
The girl lifted the box's lid, grabbing the book resting on the top of the towel.
"After all, this counts on my overall objective of gathering more information about this business…" She opened the book, looking at several lines ending with a number on the right side. "… and I will surely forget about any unnecessary worries or insignificant theories at the same time!"
Her eyes closed.
"I can't have enough of this optimism…! It keeps giving me so many satisfactions…!"
Opening back her eyes, she looks at the word "Introdution".
"… ah, a misspelling!" She shrugged. "I wasn't expecting this Happy Squid Land to be fully perfect, anyway… not that I have forgot about their true intentions." Her face went neutral. "Let's see… 'Special Courses'? Interesting..."
She looks at the number 30: her thumb began flipping the page, stopping at the one that had the number 32 on the bottom-middle of the right page. Her fingers flipped the page on the left, now looking at the large 'Special Courses' title.
"Alright… I will give it a brief read."
Mirii kept turning her irises left and right, as her mind was reading each word. One minute passed, as the girl's irises reached the last word on the bottom: her fingers flipped the page.
"They seem to be very proud of such feature… something tells me that I will find the most important evidence surrounding the special course." Her irises were following the line of words. "I just need to find some more clues that will truly pinpoint at my thought…"
The girl kept reading for some minutes, as a loud snort made her shake.
"What was that?!" Her mouth opened wide, looking over the left. "… no, I can't ignore that terrible sound…"
She frowned slightly, as she stood up from the bench.
"I might be more optimistic because of the tea… but I'm no fool." She began walking in the direction of the faint snorts. "I cannot let any puny details leave my immense knowledge…"
She turned over the right corner, leaning against the orange locker with her right shoulder. Her eyes squeezed a bit.
"… those noises… snoring?!" She bended forward. "What the?!"
An Inkling girl was curled on the bench, resting her head on a purple bag filled with Squid pins, while only standing on her right side. Her tentacles were each tied with a purple tentacle grip each. Her clothing had a gothic-style.
"Zzzzzz…" She opened her mouth.
Mirii covered her mouth, leaving a small chuckle.
"A girl sleeps inside the changing room?! I couldn't possibly anticipate that!"
Her hand went down, as her mouth was simply smiling.
"… this might be a great opportunity to interrogate one of clients." She walked towards the girl. "I could learn even more from them, instead of just relying on my own."
Mirii slightly bended her knees, as her hand went on the girl's lifted shoulder, moving it back and forth.
"Excuse me?"
"Zzzz! Eeeeh!" The girl's eyelids opened to the middle. "Wh-what's up with the… … zzz…" Her eyes closed. "Zzzzz…"
…
Mirii's hand moved the shoulder back and forth, once more.
"Zzzz! Eeeeh!" The girl's eyelids opened a bit more than before. "What's up with the buzz?! … uh?" Her irises pointed at Mirii's face. "… what the… turf?"
She yawned loudly, stretching her arms and lifting her posture. She kept stumbling, while closing her eyes in an odd, fast rhythm…
"Hey… hey, who are…" She snored, before opening her eyelids to the middle and frowning a bit. "Who the turf are you…?!" Her wrists went on her hips. "How did you get in my house…?!"
…
"This is a changing room." Mirii's head rose. "You were sleeping on a bench."
The gothic girl kept stumbling, slowing down her closing-eyes rhythm.
"Yeah, you don't say…" She snored, folding her arms. "… what the turf is she talking about a bench and…" She mumbled.
Mirii frowned a bit.
"… why I even bothered?!" Her hand covered her eyes. "Siiiiigh…!"
"Now… could you super-jump out of my house or somethin'…" Her head kept tilting back and forth. "I want to get back in my dream… …" Her eyes closed. "… zzzzz…"
A vein popped out from Mirii's head.
"… c-calm down, Mirii…" Her arms folded, as each hand grabbed one of them tightly, while her face was frowning a lot and her mouth was waving too. "She's just a ridiculous, illiterate girl who needs at least 9 hours of sleep… I-I can't lose my patience this easily!"
She began breathing silently for a while… before her face went neutral and her vein disappeared back inside.
"Ok… let's try this again…" Mirii cleared her voice. "Excuse me?"
"Wh!" The girl's eyelids went on the middle. "You… … how did you get in my dream…?" Her eyes blinked for a moment, before returning in their previous position. "… yeah, you are a part of this dream…"
"I AM NOT!" Mirii grabbed the girl by her shirt, while her eyes were expanded. "WOULD YOU PLEASE WAKE UP AND PROPERLY TALK TO ME?!"
"… am I not dreaming…?" The girl yawned, as tears formed on her eyes. "… but how did you get in my house…?"
Mirii let the girl fell on the bench, as she growled loudly and clenched her fists.
"… eh?" The girl's head lowered, looking at the bench. "… this is not my bed…"
…
"… aaaaaah, right, right…" Her hand rubbed her right eye. "I'm not in my house… I'm still inside that crazy party…!"
She yawned again.
"Ok… time to go for real in my house, before it gets dark…" She stands up.
"It's almost lunch time!" Mirii's teeth gritted.
"Lunch…? …" The gothic girl turned behind, opening her bag and grasping her smartphone.
She stared at the lit screen, showing some numbers.
"… da squid? I don't get it… … no wait… I know why…"
Mirii's head turned her head to the right, while still looking at the gothic girl.
"… I'm still dreaming…" She let out a yawn.
Mirii's hand palm slapped her own forehead.
"Groan… I don't like this dream anymore…" She laid down on the bench, as her head went on her bag and her hand let her smartphone fall in front of her chest. "… how do I change it, though… … zzzz… zzzzzzz…"
"I had enough of her stupidity!" Mirii turned behind, walking away rapidly. "Why was she sleeping on the bench, anyway?!"
As soon as she was facing the other bench, the girl stopped on her feet, while her mouth opened.
"… a party?! She said to be in a party!"
…
Her mouth closed.
"That book doesn't have any mention of allowing parties, doesn't it?!" She rushed back towards her bench, grabbing her book and immediately began reading through its words.
Her hands closed the book in a loud slam.
"Nothing!" Her head rose. "Their guide book doesn't mention anything about allowing parties… I must take note of such information!"
Her hand grabbed her smartphone, as her thumb immediately began tapping on the screen.
"… groan… that idiotic girl ruined my mood, though…" Mirii sports a sad face. "… at least this room's scent is effectively calming me down…"
"Da squid?!"
Mirii gasped, turning her sight over her left: the gothic girl was standing still, as her wrists were on her sides. Her eyelids were on the middle and her shoulder was holding her bag's strap.
"You look exactly like that obnoxious girl who kept ruining my dream…!" She took a deep breath.
Mirii growled silently.
"I see you are fully awake, this time." Her head rose.
"Awake…? … wait, what do you mean…?" Her eyes closed.
"I saw you sleeping on the bench!" The shorter girl stands up, as her arms folded. "You even saw me, when you first opened your eyes…"
"Ah… … so, I wasn't dreaming…" She yawned loudly, before opening her eyelids a bit. "… but who are you, again…? The janitor…?"
A vein popped out on Mirii's forehead.
"I'm one of the Happy Squid Land's clients." She nodded. "Janitor… puah!" She grimaced.
"Happy Squid Land?" The gothic girl's mouth rose. "… why are you calling them by their older name?"
…
"Where are you coming from…?" She yawned. "The Sponge Age? … anyway, their new name is 'Squid Experience'." She grins a bit. "They are docile in the morning, they become wilder at night…!" Her eyes closed, while simply smiling. "You should come too and get yourself in the mess…!"
"… what 'mess' are you mentioning, exactly?" Mirii's head rose.
"Lots of drinks, Squid action and some mini Turf War matches…!" The gothic girl began walking forward, passing Mirii. "Get in here at around 11 PM… you are not gonna regret"
"Where are you going?" The girl turned over her direction.
"Gettin' back in my house, sweety!" Her whitish hand waved. "Don't be turfing late, ok?"
The girl went behind the lockers on the left. Mirii kept hearing pacing sounds, for a brief while…
"Squid Experience…" Her hand brought her smartphone in front of her face. "… I'm sure that a quick look on the Hidden Sea will net me some brilliant results. Results I will instantly store in my smartphone's data."
Her thumb was pressing on the screen.
"… something tells me I should keep my eyes open, from now on…" Her eyes squeezed a bit. "Who knows what kind of dangers I'm going to face this time…"
