Chapter 02 Meeting some new friends
Quanktumspirit: "Please review."
The next morning, a lovely winters sun raised up above the swamp of Shrek's home.
In Shrek and Fiona's bedroom, the two lovers woke up and smiled at one another.
"Morning; my love." Fiona smiled kissing Shrek on his lips.
"Morning too; my dear." Shrek smiled, "Merry Christmas Fiona."
"You think the kids are up yet?" Fiona asked curiously.
Shrek shrugged his shoulders, they got up, washed and dressed quickly into Christmas pullovers Fiona made them a few years ago. They chuckled and walked out of their room and across the hallway to Farkle, Fergus and Felicity's bedroom.
Quietly they opened the door and smiled, their triplets were just waking up as well, and smiled looking at their parents.
"Good morning our darling Angels." Fiona smiled.
"Morning mama." the triplets smile, "Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas to you to dears." Shrek smiles at them.
The triplets got washed and changed into their own Christmas jumpers and clean teeth. Smiling they were picked up by Shrek and Fiona and headed downstairs.
Downstairs in the living room. Puss in Boots, Kitty Softpaws, Perla, Timmy and Gonzalo all woke up and looked across to the entrance of the living room. They sat up and the kittens looked at the huge green 'humans' a bit confused that entered the living room.
Shrek and Fiona smiled as they saw the cat family wrapped around each other, the oger triplets looked down and smiled at the kittens and she-cat.
"Good morning everyone." Puss smiled, "And Merry Christmas guy's."
Shrek nodded his head, "Did everything go alright last night Puss?"
"Yes, I found them; had to save Kitty Softpaws from almost drowning, but I managed to get them home and then I feed them some of the remaining last night's dinner," Puss explained.
Perla blinked a bit, "May we introduce ourselves? Hi guys, I'm Puss's adoptive daughter; Perla."
"Hi, I'm Sir Timotheo Montenegro the 3rd or just short Timmy." Timmy smiled.
"Morning, I'm Gonzarlo." Gonzarlo smiled.
Kitty chuckled a bit and curtsied to the Ogers, "And I'm Kitty Softpaws. Thank you for having us over for Christmas."
"It's quite alright." Fiona smiled, "Hi everyone, I'm Fiona and the mother of the triplets and Shrek's wife."
"Hi," Shrek waves at the cats, "I#m Shrek and this is our home."
"Hi, we are Felicity, Farkle and Fergus their children." The oger triplets smile at the kittens.
The Diablos all nod their heads, everyone enters the kitchen and they all got their breakfasts; Shrek, Fiona and Farkle, Fergus and Felicity eating bowls filled with cereals of different colours.
Puss got three more bowls and filled them with cat biscuits for him and his own family. Perla, Timmy and Gonzalo smile and thank Puss and Kitty filled a bowl full of water for them to drink.
After the hearty breakfast, the family settles down in the living room. The oger kids smile and start following the Diablos around the living room, trying to get them to play with them, but the Diablos didn't understand why.
Puss sighs and decides to explain the problem whiles also quickly raised his paw and stopped the young children approaching his family.
"Children, the Diablos and Kitty are not very used to human contact, please don't try and pull them too hard. Treat them with respect and friendship please?" Puss advised them a bit scared.
The Diablos blinked and looked at their 'father' confused, "Why dad? I'm sure we can defend ourselves if they wanted to harm us."
"No no no, the children wouldn't want to harm you kids, it's just they have a very powerful grip," Puss explained.
Fergus nodded his head, "We promise Puss, I got an idea."
He sat down on the floor and his siblings sat next to him. The Diablos blinked as the triplets patted the side of them, smiling kindly at them.
Carefully, Pearla, Timmy and Gonzalo walked up to them, circled round them on all fours before each of them lying one next to the other. Even more careful the Oger triplets each stroked one of the Diablos over their head and body.
"Is this ok Diablos?" Fergus asked the kittens.
The three Diablos all were smiling and felt like they were in heaven by the three oger children's touches.
"It's a nice feeling Fergus." Perla smiled, "Thank you."
The other two Diablos nodded their heads in agreement. Carefully they turned on their backs and allowed the oger kids to touch more of their bodies, Puss smiled, glad that his 'children' were getting along with his friends.
"Very good all of you." Puss smiled, "Thank you."
The Diablos nodded their heads and the triplets got up and walked outside to get washed and dressed properly, as well as Shrek and Fiona.
Puss looked over at his own 'children', "The ogres aren't the only visitors for today kids. My other friends are a dragon and Donkey and their three children too."
"A... a..." The Diablos said at the same time shocked, "A dragon? A real, live, fire breathing dragon?"
"Yup, she even flies. But don't worry, the only thing Dragon ever burns is the fireplace. She is a really kind person, guy's." Puss smiled.
The Diablos didn't look too confident, but it was too late to question. A knock at the door and the diablos saw a donkey and smaller mutant creatures entering the Shrek home too.
"Good Christmas morning everyone." Donkey beames.
"AAAHHH!" The Diablos scream.
Suddenly the kids ran behind Puss as the smaller dragons flew above their heads, breathing various fireballs around the place, but always targeting the fireplace over and over again.
"DADDY!" the kittens begin crying and shaking.
Puss quickly scoops up Perla and Gonzalo, Kitty grabs a hold of Timmy and they walk out of the overcrowded house into the snow, they settle the kittens down and begin cleaning them, as well as comforting the poor frightened children.
Donkey, Dragon and the Dronkey's look outside and a bit hurt, the poor Diablos were truly terrified over the huge dragon and her kids.
"We are so sorry Puss." Dragon sighs and bows down to the cats, "We didn't realise they returned to you."
"They just need a bit of time Dragon," Puss explains, whiles rocking Perla and Timmy.
Kitty rocks Gonzalo and they softly speak to the kittens to calm them down once more. Some more cuddling and explaining and the Diablos calmed down.
All three faced Dragon and the Donkeys. "We are sorry for our disrespect to you. But we were just frightened by your sudden appearance."
"Its ok children." Dragon smiles at the three kittens, "I've never met you and you don't know me. So to be suddenly faced with a 100-feet long dragon can be a bit terrifying. But I promise I won't hurt people."
The kittens nod their head, Dragon suddenly has an idea, she lies down and smiles at the kittens.
"Would you like a view from the top? You can climb on my snout and I can show you." Dragon smiles.
But the Diablos were still shaking, Puss shakes his head to and looks back to the dragon.
"Not to disrespect you dragon, but I think the children just need a bit of time before they can trust you," Puss said.
Dragon just shrugs her shoulders, "It's ok. I'm always aware that my appearance can make people nervous."
The Diablos nod their heads and look down ashamed. Dragon does seem to be a nice person, they were just not used to being around people that large.
