Its that time again, time to power up with a new chapter. Now here's a bit of a spoiler so brace yourselves: this chapter focuses on the group ( save for Tommy)'s graduation from Reefside High.
Keep in mind I'm not sure on how American graduation ceremonies work because I don't live there but I did a bit of research and I hope it works out.
It was a warm June day in reefside High and outside we join our ex-rangers for their graduation ceremony.
Kira and Connor were sitting next to each other ( obviously :P) and were listening to Principal Randall drone on and on about success and diligence.
'' When will this end? I've got stuff to do'' Connor whined under his voice.
Kira kicked him slightly.'' Zip it, this still has another hour to go but look on the bright side Ethan's valedictorian and he's giving a speech to end off the ceremony''.
Connor sighed and slumped back into his seat. Last night his club had played against their rivals the Sharx and since they had improved since last year Connor had been playing them into overtime and by the time they were finished Greg had to come fetch Connor because his coach had called him to say Connor fell asleep.
Connor then looked at Kira and the next thing he knew his eyes went heavy and he fell asleep.

'' Connor, Connor are you OK''? came a familiar voice.
'' Yeah just tired''
'' Well, if you'd like you could tell these people why naptime is more important than manners''.
Connor snapped awake and realized it had been principal Randall who was speaking to him.
The audience then burst into thunderous laughter. Connor turned about as red as his battle suit.
Ethan who was already walking up to the podium to speak stopped by Connor, grinned, shook his head and fist bumped him.
Ethan walked up and started to speak. '' Good afternoon friends, faculty and other guests. Today we celebrate not an ending but a beginning. When I look around us today I see friends , I see people and I see hope. You're all probably thinking how can you see hope Ethan its abstract not concrete and to that I say you're right. I wasn't supposed to say this but-
'' Aaaand you shouldn't '' Principal Randall interrupted. '' Ethan what the hell do you think you're doing''? Principal Randall hissed.
'' Inspiring stupid people'' Ethan replied, his hand covering the mic.
'' As I was saying, I saw some of the grades of the freshmen coming into high school for 2005 and they aren't impressive''. Ethan chuckled but what he got instead of laughter was the entire freshman student body staring daggers at him.
'' But that's not important, what is, is your attitude to how you fix them. I overheard some freshman saying he's going to kill himself because he's stupid but he shouldn't and to prove why, here're some facts for you guys: Thomas Edison conducted 1000 failed experiments but didn't quit, why? Because the 1001st was the lightbulb. JK Rowling the Harry Potter author, got rejected by 12 publishers. We all know who Reggie Jackson is right? I know Connor does , pointing his thumb at his friend who looked like a zombie from lack of sleep. This did earn laughter from the crowd. For those of you who don't know him, he's a baseball player who hit over 500 homeruns during his career but what people don't know is that he also struck out 2600 times.
Know your all probably wondering how does this tie into hope? Well here's why, all those people had one thing in common, they didn't quit when things got tough, the fought on and look where it got ém. There's no reason why any graduate here today or freshman can't become great the only thing holding you back is yourself.
I know everyone here can become great, now who's with me''! Ethan shouted.
Surprisingly this got the whole audience ( even Connor ) to jump up and shout.

Cyber café
The gang was hanging around the couch and chairs at the end of the cyber café and were congratulating Ethan.
'' Wow, you took a big risk speaking about the bad grades of the freshmen'' Trent said drinking his strawberry smoothie.
'' Yeah, even I wouldn't do that and I loved pointing out how stupid people were when I was in school '' Hayley said.
'' Look what matters is that he took a risk and reached a bunch of kids and he should be proud of himself'' Tommy congratulated.
'' Thanks Dr O I don't know why but it felt right to speak about failure to motivate them'' Ethan said.
'' Well regardless we're proud of you '' Connor said.
The group then clinked their drinks and continued chatting.
Ok I know, not my best chapter , it was filler and had nothing to do with the pairing but I felt like giving Ethan some time to shine. Also, on another note. I remember saying that this story would focus on Connor and Kira's eventual engagement. However this part of the story is done! My sequel will be coming out sometime in the next couple of days. Until then take it easy guys.
