It was a cold but peaceful night here in San Francisco. Everyone was taking strolls around the city and the park and enjoying the weekly night. However, a strange and mysterious creature approached out of nowhere and started attacking so sudden. They began to panic and shouted for help. Crashing through sudden lighting, people were trying to run away from this faceless beast with only a pair of beady red eyes. The humans thought another nuclear war was going to happen. Landing out of nowhere, a purple arrow that had a light purple light stabbed the creature to death, in which it turned into a black jewel. The people turned around to see who was there to save them out of nowhere. They didn't recognize who these mysterious figures were. One had been a cat with an abnormal cap and the other is a young girl with wings. They both flew away like it was an ordinary thing for them.

The next day, a black chauffeur car had pulled up into a partly run-down but classy neighborhood in the heart of San Francisco. The driver had parked in the garage next to a Victorian style condominium building. He got out of the vehicle and opened the passenger door, which emerged two brunette children, a girl about 10 and a boy who is no older than 7. Their names were Anisha and Calvin.

"So, this is where we're going to be living? In this…castle?", Calvin's eyes had their focus on the building.

"Yes castle", Anisha nodded, "Only it's not." she gritted her teeth, not having the sunny reaction Calvin was expecting.

"Come on kids", the driver handed them their luggage, which consisted of their backpacks and suitcases and led them to the entrance; "You don't want to keep your uncle waiting."

"Oh right, hehe"

As soon as the children and their driver had entered the building, a medium-sized Siamese cat had watched them just a few feet away.

"I finally found them at last…"

Inside the condo was a relatively tall middle-aged man with light brown hair and gray eyes, who was pacing back and forth near the front door. A lady with ashy caramel-colored hair tied in a bun and wearing a modern housekeeper uniform came in with concern while dusting the living room.

"Marshall, why are you pacing like that? You should be delighted that your niece and nephew are going to be living with you. You'll have a family"

"I know Ruthie but it's been years since I've seen them. Calvin had his baptism when he was just an eight pound potato. He probably doesn't even know I exist or I'm his uncle", Marshall felt his insides jumping up and down.

"You're overthinking this", Ruthie shook her head, and "These kids will love you to death. I can guarantee you on that"

"I hope so. I did promise my brother that if anything happens to them, they'll be in good hands with me and that's what I'm doing"

The doorbell rang meaning that Anisha and Calvin had already arrived. Marshall straightened himself out once again and opened the door.

"Anisha! Calvin!"

"Uncle Marshall!"

Marshall immediately brought the kids inside and hugged and kissed them like it was the first time in many years. He picked Calvin up and got a good look at them.

"You're looking more like your father, young man"

"Is that a good thing?" Calvin raised an eyebrow.

Marshall sat Calvin down and patted Anisha's head endearingly, "And Anisha, you certainly have the eyes of your mother"

"Gee, I'm glad to hear that"

"And do you remember, Ruthie, my housekeeper?"

"Of course we do. Hello Ruthie, do you remember us, hmm?"

"Why, yes", Ruthie grinned very friendly, "You gotten so big, Anisha"

"I'm a growing girl"

"And Calvin…aren't you just the most adorable little potato", Ruthie bent down to his level and pinched his cheeks.

"Hey, who you calling a potato? I'm a young man"

Marshall chuckled, "Now, now enough standing around. Don't you want to see your rooms?"

"You mean we don't have to share one room?", Calvin asked.

"Oh, no. You will each have your own private space"

Marshall led them upstairs to a beautifully furnished corridor with many rooms to go around. Calvin kept slowing down as his curiosity took over.

"Calvin, please don't lag", Anisha said while pulling him by the wrist.

"Hey, don't mad at me. It was my natural curiosity"

Marshall had brought them into their bedrooms so they could unpack and relax for a bit. He also gave them a tour around the condo, where he took them to the balcony, his den or office, the pool and hot tub of the building, the small library, the playroom, and the basketball court and tennis courts, and a small vacant casita structure in the back of the facility. After they got to see what is in the store in their new home, they were begging to see more of the city.

"Hey uncle Marshall, is it okay if we…you know take a stroll around the neighborhood?" Anisha asked, "We will only be gone for a couple of hours"

"Are you sure? Do you want me to come with you?"

"Oh no thank you. We'll be just fine on our own"

"I'm not afraid of city streets!" Calvin declared.

"Oh well, all right. Just be very careful. Those streets can get very hectic"

"Great! We will be back"

They exited out of their condo room and later the condominium itself. They maintain a distance away from the narrow beaten up streets and kept close to each other.

"So what do you think of Uncle Marshall Calvin?"

"He's a great man! We're living in a paradise!"

"You don't understand Calvin. Paradise is where we used to live, Turlock. All of our friends are there. Let's face it. We're outsiders. Period"

"Doesn't mean they are going to look at us funny"

Anisha sighed, "You sure have an optimistic way in looking at things"

"Meow, meow"

"Whoa, Anisha you hear that?"

"Yes, it's a cat. I'm sure we'll find lots of stray cats around here"

All the sudden, they heard the unseen cat meowing louder like it needed some attention. They examined where it was coming from. As they were tracking down the meow, the cat happened to jump in front of them on the bench and starred at them. She had looked rather pensive.

"Uh, why is it starring at us deep in our eyes?", Calvin said scarily.

"How should I know? We never owned any felines"

"Hey you! Do you mind telling us what you want?"

"That's no way to talk to me like that!" the cat finally spoke.

"Whoa, you can even speak like us", Anisha's eyes widened.

Calvin bit his lip, "Man, San Francisco sure is a funny place!"

"Yes, yes, but I am not here to entertain", the cat spoke again.

Anisha and Calvin looked at each other confused and with thought bubble question marks coming out.

"What are you here for then and your name please?", Anisha asked.

"My name is Breaenta and I am here because I finally found you two"

"Us? You found us?", Calvin raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, I did and you guys happen to be the chosen ones"

"Chosen ones? What chosen ones?"

"I am getting a little suspicious here", Anisha crossed her arms.

"Ahem. Let me explain everything to you as much as I can" the cat cleared her throat.

"Please. Go on"

"Okay. You guys happen to be the chosen Wonder Kids who live on Earth as opposed of one of the Wonder Kingdoms. The Dark Kingdom has been taking over each of the kingdoms and has been destroying one each year somehow so they can retrieve each magical jewel from the kingdoms. They also plan to come to Earth and overthrow it with their evil energy. So as the Wonder Kids, it's your job to protect the world and the Wonder Kingdoms from danger of the evil queen Natasha."

Anisha and Calvin thought carefully about what Breaenta had said to them so clearly. They started to laugh like it was a joke.

"Hahaha! Protecting the Wonder Kingdoms? Hahaha?" Anisha laughed.

"Yeah! We never heard such a thing", Calvin also laughed.

"I am sorry but that was funny"

"I didn't know you were a comedian at heart"

"A cat who takes lessons from comedies?! Who would've ever guess we would see that in the city!"

"WILL YOU TWO STOP YOUR RUDENESS?!" Breaenta raised her voice and has had enough.

"Whoa you should chill out, kitty", Anisha stopped laughing.

Calvin agreed, "Yeah I mean we would know whether the world is in danger or not"

"Well I am being 100% serious. It is and you will see once you encounter a peculiar looking creature that's not a human attacking you and the people here", Breaenta rolled her eyes.

"But we don't have magical powers at all", Anisha said.

"So I think you're mistakening us for someone else", Calvin flicked Breaenta's forehead.

Anisha nodded in agreement, "Besides, weird stuff happens all over the world anyways"

A bus had arrived and was waiting for Anisha and Calvin who still were speaking to Breaenta. Anisha elbowed Calvin, indicating that they should take that opportunity to make their escape.

"We really have to go. We have things to do and this bus ain't waiting around for long"

"Yeah. We'll uh…catch you on the flip side", Calvin waved bye to Breaenta while getting on the bus.

"Oh please do. You really need it", Breaenta said as she watched the bus drive away.

As Anisha and Calvin found a seat to sit in on the bus, they were thinking about all the things Breaenta told them out in the open.

"I, for some reason, feel really unconvinced about all this Wonder Kids stuff", Calvin said.

"Yeah, what was up with that cat?"

"She was such a goof! Maybe we're dreaming"

"Oh, let's just forget about it. She probably won't even realize that we're not even her owners."

They didn't talk for the rest of the trip and was starring at each of the sights as they were passing during the bus ride to get a good view of San Francisco. When they got off, a girl with purple hair tied in double hair buns about Anisha's age was waiting here and looked like she knew her and Calvin.

"Excuse me but where the nearest clothing store is?" she asked.

"The nearest clothing store?" Calvin looked confused.

"Don't ask us", Anisha shook her head, "We only just moved here an hour and a half ago"

"Fine then", the girl did not seem satisifed and mumbled under her breath, "Thanks for the help", she walked away from them.

"Glad we are a help for now", Anisha said sarcastically.

"Who does that girl think she is?", Calvin crossed his arms.

"Yeah, she thinks we have all the knowledge of this city! How foolish can people be these days!"

"Man, never mind the girl! Our day is turning into some Twilight Zone!"

They both continued their way to the nearest park. This one of a kind park had lots of free areas of rich green grass where small flowers usually grow too and very tall trees and pathways for members of the public to walk about. It was a peaceful moment for now until Calvin spot something abnormal while Anisha was sitting on the grass enjoying a breeze.

"Uh, Anisha I see a little green dot over there. What is that supposed to be?"

Anisha didn't answer and was lost in her thoughts.

"Um hello, what is that dot over THERE?"

"Uh, what are you talking about? That's just a tree"

"No is it not. I could've swarm it had teeth hanging out."

"Teeth? Hmm…whoa, what is that thing?!", Anisha squinted a little so she can see what the "dot" was.

"Lemme take a look at it with my super binoculars", Calvin took out some black binoculars and used them carefully.

"What do you see?"

"It's a monster!"

"What you're kidding me? It must be a remote control toy"

"Doubtful. It can't be that big and there's no switcher. See for yourself", Calvin handed the binoculars to Anisha.

"Yeah, yeah okay."

"So what do you think it looks like NOW?"

"It looks like a hybrid of a dinosaur and a squid…wait a minute…"

Anisha had remembered what Breaenta told them earlier and continued to study the creature using the binoculars to get a better view. She was amazed at what it did.

"Wow! It moved!"

"Really?"

"Uh-huh, it was really stiff before like a statue."

"Shall we just walk over to him and say hello?", Calvin nervously asked.

"Yeah, we will get a better view if we do that", Anisha hurried with Calvin to see the hybrid creature.

"Ha! I was right! It was a monster all along!", Calvin laughed a little at his comment.

"Okay I was wrong about it being fake…", Anisha rolled her eyes a bit.

"Who are you callin' fake", it spoke.

"Ah, another animal talking to us!", Calvin jumped.

"Yeah, what is it with these animals today", Anisha scratched the back of her head.

"Time to destroy this beauty of the park", the hybrid creature start attacking the park with his long tentacles.

"Shesh, I was only making a joke here", Calvin said while trying to get away with Anisha.

"These Wonder Kids have got to be here somewhere"

"Here we are!", a voice said.

The creature, Anisha, and Calvin all turned around and it was Breaenta and that girl from earlier, who came at the right time!

"No way! T-That girl is the owner of the weird cat!", The two kids jawdropped a little.

"Rainbow Cat Power!"

"Purple Fairy Power!"

"Transform!"

In front of their eyes, Breaenta and the purple-haired girl had transformed into their Wonder Kid alter egos. Rainbow Cat and Purple Fairy are finally here!

"Hold it right there!", Rainbow Cat said.

"Oh you're that dumbell cat with her fairy friend"

"That's right and we will never forgive you for destroying this beautiful park up", Purple Fairy said.

"So it is true all along", Anisha whispered.

"This is one crazy dream", Calvin whispered back.

"Show me what you got", the creature said.

"Oh, you can bet on it, scales", Rainbow Cat said while jumping off of a railing.

"You two hide behind that tree", Purple Fairy commanded Anisha and Calvin and they did as she said.

"Purple Fairy Arrow!"

She sums up a purple and white bow and arrow out of a burst of white wings charging up a shock-wave, and releasing it into a purple blade of energy. She grabs on it and begins to charge a white heart towards the creature.

"…Star Snap!"

The white heart went straight past the creature like a trail of light wind.

"What? I missed?", Purple Fairy was shocked.

"I will give it a try"

"Rainbow Swirl Cube Stage On!"

The colors from her wand combine into one and turn into a cube and then she pushes it with her paws and it explodes into a rainbow towards the creature but he was too fast for her.

"Wow for a creature from long ago eons, you sure can talk big! WITH lousy teeth", Calvin remarked.

"I am tired of you punks! Take this!", the creature finally had enough and used his tentacles to tie up both of the Wonder Kids up together.

"YAHHH!", Purple Fairy shrieked.

"Oh no!", Anisha said.

"What should we do now?", Calvin asked.

"We better save them and fast", Anisha hurried out of the tree and tried to stop the creature.

"You know, I feel terrible for laughing at the whole Wonder Kids thing. I wasn't thinking", Calvin ran with her.

"Me either but we are only normal human beings with no experience with it. We wouldn't know what to do!"

"Now do you believe me?", Rainbow Cat raised an eyebrow.

"Yes we do", Anisha and Calvin sighed, "We're sorry, kitty"

"Hey, you dumb creature, did you hear that?", Calvin glared.

"That are one of those dumb Wonder Kids?", the creature snarled back.

"We didn't know until now but yes, yes we are bound to be one of them", Calvin smirked back.

After they said that, a bright white light appeared in front of their faces.

"Woah, who turned on the lights?"

"That's the light to where you guys are Wonder Kids. When it will awaken, it will give you special lockets to become a Wonder Kid"

"Yeah but it ain't awakening. AH, now it is!", Anisha commented but then saw it shine bright. She and Calvin closed their eyes until it was safe. What had been in their hands were lockets, pink with a cotton candy symbol for Anisha and blue for Calvin with a water symbol.

"Lockets huh?", Calvin looked at what he saw in his hands.

"Be careful with these lockets.", Rainbow Cat informed, "They are your only hope in helping us. You will know what to say in becoming the Wonder Kids. Just say the words that come from your heart."

"Huh? What?"

"Hurry! There's no time to waste"

Anisha nodded, "You can count on us!"

"Cotton Candy Power!"

"Water Ice Power!"

"Transform!"

After transforming into their Wonder Kid form, they each had a drastic appearance then how they normally look. Anisha now was Cotton Candy Girl in which her hair turned pink that pulled into a ponytail with a cotton candy charm, her eyes turn violet, heart earrings, a choker with a cotton candy emblem in the middle, a pink bow pinned on her dress, pink and white gloves, a frilly skirt with light pink outlines, and pink and white boots. Calvin was now Water Ice Boy in which his hair and eyes turned blue that has a water "squirter" in the middle, a light blue bodysuit that has his initials on it "WB", short light blue gloves, a blue belt with a bright blue wave on it, light blue shorts with a blue trim on the bottom and blue waterproof rain boots. After the transformation, they had each struck a cognet pose. From the light of the transformation, Rainbow Cat and Purple Fairy were finally loosened from the tentacles.

"What the? There's more?!", the creature was shocked of their transformation.

"Whoa, is this really us?", Cotton Candy Girl looked at her outfit.

"Now that we transformed, can we finally beat up this guy?", Water Ice Boy asked.

"Yes! Give him all you got!", Rainbow Cat shouted.

Cotton Candy Girl and Water Ice Boy jumped up in the air and came back down to kick the creature. After they kick, they jumped again, going down with a double punch on the sides.

"Wow! I never knew how to do that back in my training days", Purple Fairy said.

"Yes, they seem to catch on fast", Rainbow Cat said.

Cotton Candy Girl jumps again, then punches the center of the creature and it starts to feel dizzy. She tries to kick it once more but the creature tried to tie her up with his tentacles. Water Ice Boy then kicks his tentacles which end up twisting him.

"Summon up your weapons!", Rainbow Cat commanded.

"Summon up what? How?", Water Ice Boy was confused, "We ain't magicicans!"

"Like I said you'll know"

"Well…okay. We'll give it a go"

"Cotton Candy Wand!"

Cotton Candy Girl sums up a magical pink and white wand which comes out of a pink beam of light. She grabs it and starts to spin around with pink bubbles surrounding her.

"Bubbles Stick Blast!"

The pink puff balls combine together and dodge toward the creature where it becomes stiff and sticks to the ground.

"I can't move!"

"Water Ice Wand!"

Water Ice Boy sums up a blue coded wand that comes out of waves of water and icicles. He grabs it and dances around the ocean waves and icicles.

"Water Ice Sparkle Waves!"

Then the giant wave comes and then blue sparkles spin around the wave and hits the creature in which it became frozen solid.

"NO!", the creature cried and it finally got cracked by the ice, breaking into small fragments.

"Hurray! We both saved the day! ", Cotton Candy Girl and Water Ice Boy high-fived and jumped.

"And it only took two of us!", Water Ice Boy added.

"Great job as Wonder Kids!", Rainbow Cat and Purple Fairy ran up to both of them.

"Congratulations. Right on!", Purple Fairy clapped her hands.

"You have proven that you two are worthy of being part of our team"

"Wow you really think so?", Cotton Candy Girl blushed a bit.

"Truly, you two have what it takes to be Wonder Kids"

"Wow, that's so bomb!", Water Ice Boy said, "We're superheroes!I think I might like San Francisco now if I'm going to be like Superman!"

They all laughed. After that, they changed back to their normal selves and walked together around the block in the neighborhood together.

"So, purple girl, do you have a name?", Calvin stared at the young purplelette girl.

"Of course I do, shortie! I'm Amber just to let you know! I am a personal assistant of Breaenta"

"Woah, that's neat!", Anisha said, "Well nice to meet you Amber. I'm Anisha and that shortie is my brother, Calvin"

"We already knew who you guys were. Breaenta had been following you guys ever since you arrived here"

"She what?!", Calvin growled but Anisha put her hand on his shoulder to calm him down, "So that's why I felt like someone was watching us earlier"

"Ehehe but you know what, Breaenta?", Anisha asked.

"Yes dear?"

"Calvin and I thought it over and we decided that we really want to join the Wonder Kids!"

"Are you being honest with me?"

"Positive! Maybe it would do us some good in the future."

"That's what I would like to hear from you two"

"I have to admit you guys are already the coolest human Wonder Kids!", Amber said, "I never imagined it would be you two"

"Hey, what does that supposed to mean?!", Calvin hissed.

"Nothing, nothing. I didn't imply it as a negative thing"

"Ahahaha", Anisha nervously chuckled, "You'll have to excuse Calvin. This is a lot for a little boy", She smiled brightly, "Anyways, I think I'm going to find something wonderful about moving here…", She glanced up at the blue clear sky before the scene had faded out.
