Please, move! That monster is about to get you!
"I… I-I'm getting hurt by this machine!" She left a cough, shaking her head.
Ignore that! Keep running!
Please! I'm getting soooo scared of watching this!
The large blob of grey material was sliding on the floor, with the eyes not paying attention to the little Squid… Mirii frowned a bit, shouting a growl and advancing without hesitating.
The first block was lowering down, in the same moment as the Squid was about to touch its wall. The block managed to immerse inside the floor, as Mirii slid above it. The large item went back up, hitting the girl and carrying her upwards.
"Nnnnnnggghh!" Her tentacles were flattening its top.
The block changed its direction, leaving the Squid behind… as it was slowly gliding downwards. She sighed.
"I shouldn't had charged in like that…!" She zipped over the second block. "But luckily, I realized something important!"
Let me guess: those blocks don't actually hurt you?
"Correct." She kindly on it, letting the block carry her upwards. "I just need to be careful with their patterns…"
She twisted behind.
"Now I really want to see if that overgrown"
The giant creature was coming over the first block, as it successfully went on its top. It got pushed as high as possible, before the block would retreat down. The blob-like thing impacted down, as smaller version of itself flew off its body! Most of them went out of bounds, disappearing in the abyss… while a couple of dust-appearing goons landed on the green board.
"It shrunk down a bit!" Her eyes squeezed a bit. "I could manipulate that fool into taking multiple rides on those blocks…"
The monster was keeping its march, as the block managed to lift a small part of its back and divided it with ease. Its size shrunk accordingly, but its movement speed felt different… and its body was waving around even faster than before.
"Now!" She slid away from the second block, proceeding while looking backwards.
The Squid stopped before touching the block's wall. The monster climbed on the block, as it went upwards with the beast. Mirii was observing carefully: the block began descending together with the blob-like creature. Her eyes expanded, as she swam backwards instinctively.
How did that monster learn like that?!
We all learn, Kyle!
As she began shaking herself without control, Mirii dashed over the third block and immediately passed it without hesitation.
But that thing is an AI who's supposed to act in the same way, over and over! … unless it has more phases to it?!
The monster flattened itself down… until it sprung past both the second and third block, even passing the fleeing Squid!
"What the?!" She slowed down, admiring the creature landing on the green board.
Oh, come on!
Eeeepp!
The red eyes were moving along the top of its head, turning an almost full 180°… Mirii had her mind filled with words, as she had her eyes glued on her humongous rival. Her tentacles were waving around uncontrollably, her forehead started releasing sweat…
"… no… no, that's just nonsensical!" She frowned, pointing her right tentacle over the mountain-shaped creature. "I saw you dividing yourself into pieces when you landed down on the floor!" She snorted. "Why are you not dividing yourself anymore?!"
What are you doing?! He's scripted that way! He's in his second phase!
"S-second phase?!" She backed herself a bit, twitching her eye. "He is… h-he is"
Try charging at it, like you did before! Don't give up!
She closed her eyes. The monster was slowly crawling over Mirii… as she instantly dashed at full speed, aiming her head over the grey, immense belly. She hit it, pushing it farther and farther… before the flexible stomach pushed her back, while making her spin rapidly in the process.
Even its weakness changed?!
She went crashing on the third block's dark blue wall, which emanated a dim light on its surface for a short moment. Mirii fell down, yelping and rolling left and right.
"Aaaaah!" She held down her back, squeezing her eyes with strength and still yelling like before.
I-I can't watch this!
Hey! Get off me! Ggghh! Get, off!
Jerkily, her eyes opened back… now sealing her mouth and easing down her pressure on her tentacles.
"… I finally got you…"
Her irises shrunk. The monster was standing still, keeping his red eyes aimed at the Squid.
"You are mine… Mirii Kelpshell."
Her face went paler, facing the creature after making a quick flip and raising from the green board.
"Who are you?!" She frowned, leaving a silent groan at the same time.
"I don't think you need to know it…" It slid over her direction. "… you are going to lose badly, after all…"
She gasped, backing in a haste. She was almost hit by the raising block behind.
"… are you the one behind the rules of this ridiculous game?!" Her tentacles went on the moving wall.
"Yes… I'm the one who modded the elements of this mode… and I'm the one who caused a huge rise of glitches and bugs." He stopped close to her. "All that to lure you inside this wasteland… where I'm fully in control of the situation."
"Nnnnnggghh…!" She was sweating like mad. "N-no matter your tactical advantage…! I-I will never let you touch me!"
"… if I attack you, you will be sent back to the start… and I cannot change this."
The red eyes shined. Suddenly, Mirii found herself on the ground while rolling and shouting!
"But my goal here… is to throw you out of the games." The monster kept observing the Squid.
"WH-WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?!" She screamed for some seconds.
"I'm sending impulses in your ink, through my input commands... I'm basically destroying you with the use of the cords attached to your VR glasses." Gradually, the monster began disappearing…
"NOOO! NOOOOOOO!" Her tentacles kept slamming and slamming.
She growled, she screeched… she was even about to go over the edge to the right! She then held, rolling away from the void and sitting on the middle. Mirii was attempting to curl herself… releasing a moan as loud as she could possibly muster.
I did it… she's done for.
"You… wh-what did you do to me?!" She frowned a lot.
Hmm?! It can't be!
Pushing herself back up, as much as possible… Mirii began turning around and keeping her eyelids to the middle.
"I-is this… is this all you have?!" She sighed loudly. "Uff… th-that… that was nothing!"
I sent you the impulses! I damaged you so hard, no living Squid would survive it! Why are you still up?!
"Because… because I'm perfection, you fool." Her head rose. "And now that you have revealed your cards… your plans of stopping me are destined to fail."
Not yet!
All of the sudden, an army of dust monsters appeared on Mirii's way. She snorted at them, preparing herself well… and charging over the closest one!
"… now I understand why I survived such vicious attack." She blasted past it, aiming immediately over the second.
Poof!
Poof!
One by one, those monsters exploded into puffs of smoke.
"It's because the medicine inside this ink… was still in effect!" She turned a bit around, hitting even more creatures along the way. "I couldn't feel its wonderful proprieties, because it was simply nullifying all those negative effects I was receiving, thus letting me survive for this long!"
She passed some dust enemies, while hitting one more at the end. She was now facing the tallest block of them all, glimpsing something at its top. Sparkles were coming out from the block's holes, as they were going after the Squid.
"I don't see anything else to climb on… that means only one thing." She began raising quickly.
Mirii swiftly moved to the right, then to the left… then even more to the left! Sparkles were passing her, as they either impacted over another one… or they managed to change their directions. Some sparkles divided themselves in a rapid succession, as they formed together a line.
"I don't need cheats to reach my goals!" She flipped over the horizontal line, going past it as if the line wasn't even dare.
The Squid could see the top… specifically, a large checkered flag who was swinging on its own.
"That's it! I finally reached the exit!" She swam faster.
Darn you, Mirii Kelpshell! Darn you!
Her head went over the flag, slamming on it: a blue box grew out of the flag, as the Squid was immediately staring at the following words:
'Congratulations!
You win the game!
Now, choose an option:
-Retry
-Exit'
Her tentacle hovered over the word 'Exit'.
