Kelly's eyes were sparkling, while holding Mirii's smartphone on her hand, smiling widely.
"Wooooww…! It's so… easy to use… so sophisticated too…!"
Mirii nodded, while standing in front of her.
"Now that I taught you about the use of the camera feature… we can now venture inside that building." Her head rose. "Remember to listen my thoughts carefully… and I do underline that more than once!" She frowned a bit. "Because me and Hunley will not have the time to mentally talk with you, in an environment full of strangers!"
"Tee hee hee!" Kelly brought her smartphone sideways on her forehead. "Is this how you sweeter waters"
"PUT MY SMARTPHONE DOWN!" Mirii's irises shrunk, as her hands went on her smartphone and Kelly's hands, pushing it down.
"Hey! D-don't be mean to me!" Kelly's eyes went watery, while her opened mouth made a downturned shape, as she almost shook herself. "What did I do wrong?!"
"That movement could had thrown my smartphone away!" Mirii frowned. "You must treat my device carefully, Kelly!"
Fara lowered her eyelids to the middle.
"I… didn't expect you from being that attached to that little thing."
Frowning a bit more, Mirii looked at Hun's sister.
"Without my smartphone, I couldn't possibly perform as perfectly as I do!" She looks back at Kelly, while showing her teeth. "And if I do not perform perfectly, then I'm nothing! Literally nothing!"
"Mirii, stop!" Hun frowned while stepping closer to her. "You can't let that thing dominate your mind!"
The girl rose her eyebrows, pointing her face at Hun. She held her breath for a little moment… Hun shook his head.
"I believe that you will still be just as great, if your smarthingy is not in your hands… so, don't even worry that much!"
"Bu-but Hunley…!" Mirii felt a rock on her throat, as her hands grasped a tentacle each. "I-I couldn't possibly overlook th-this responsibility… I-I need that thing! It helps us!" Her eyes squeezed, while sweating and breathing loudly. "It makes us perfect, it makes us!"
"Mirii, calm down!" His hands went on her shoulders. "Don't lose your control, please!"
"Gaaaahh!" Her eyes opened. "I-I… … gah… m-my smartphone…"
"I know you can do it!" His neck bended in the direction of her head. "You don't care about it as much as you think! You would throw it away, if it causes trouble to you!"
Her irises shrunk, watching Hun's eyes very close to hers… her mind kept seeing his eyes for a brief while.
"… Kelly…"
"Yes…?" Kelly showed her downturned mouth.
"… try being as careful as you can!" Her forefinger pointed at her face, while frowning. "No scratches, no spins, no unreasonable movements whatsoever!"
"Mirii!" Hun went a bit back, while folding his arms.
"Of course I wouldn't care about that piece of rubbish, if it becomes one… BUT it still remains as an useful tool to utilize." Her head rose. "If I do not show any dependency over it, then there shouldn't be any problem with such care… am I right?"
…
"What do you say about this, big bro?" Fara went closer to her brother, hugging him gently and looking at Mirii. "Do you trust her…?"
"Well… how I couldn't?" His eyebrows went up and his mouth downturned. "It's that I… I don't want her to suffer, once we are inside that building… being worried all the time, by watching Kelly holding that thing."
"Ah…" Fara went away from him.
"The worry is about her inexperience…" Her hand caressed her right tentacle, while closing her eyes and lifting her posture. "… she needs to understand the importance of keeping others' belongings as perfectly as possible…!"
"Tee hee hee!" Kelly stands on her left foot, while opening her arms. "But I'm always careful about things! Did you know I can juggle?"
Mirii jumped, as Hun immediately grabbed her stomach and held her.
"YOU WOULDN'T DARE DOING THAT ON MY SMARTPHONE, WOULD YOU?!" She gritted her teeth.
"M-Mirii!" Hun struggled, while squeezing his eyes. "Keep yourself! Please!"
Mirii kept snorting and growling… gradually calming herself and sighing as a result. Hun opened his arms, walking on her left side.
"… no juggling either…" Her eyes squeezed a bit. "Understood?"
"Alriiiightyyy!" Kelly nodded, as she walked in place. "Can we go now? Please, please, pretty pleeeeeaaassee?!"
A sweat drop grew on Mirii's head, as her eyelids lowered to the middle.
"… me and my ideas… me and my ideas…" Her eyes closed. "It's better to begin the mission, indeed… being late is a sign of imperfection, after all." Her head rose, while opening her eyes. "With the paper you prepared after the explanation, I can safely say that we are ready to enter inside"
Fara began chuckling, while covering her mouth with her hand.
"… is there something funny about this?" Mirii's eyes squeezed a bit.
The little girl looked down.
"S-sorry, sorry!" She smiled widely. "I was imagining you walking around with those cute socks you are wearing!"
…
"NO!" Mirii's eyes expanded, lowering her head and watching her socks. "How did I overlooked such details?!" She sprinted over the shoji. "What I was thinking?!"
Fara laughed even more, as she held her stomach with both her hands. Kelly was bending forward, laughing and hugging her own stomach! Hun's mouth downturned, watching the girl opening the shoji and running through the hallway…
Mirii was wearing her shoes, while smoke was coming out from her ears and her arms were folded. Fara was sitting on her knees, behind a small table, while looking at Hun. The boy was standing near a futon, looking at the paper on the floor and then at Kelly, which was spinning and jumping while chuckling.
"Kelly… if you don't stop your childish attitude, I will remove my smartphone from your hands and make you follow a quick perfection course hosted by me!" She frowned even more, while lowering her head.
"Ooook!" Kelly stopped, lifting her arms. "Tee hee hee!"
Mirii's head shook.
"Today, you are acting without keeping any control over yourself…" Her eyes squeezed a bit. "What's wrong with you? I thought you were more mature than this!"
"I aaaaamm soooo happyyyyy, todaaaayyyy!" Kelly walked in place. "Becaaauussee I retuuuurrn inside thaaaatt pllaaaacce!"
Mirii growled.
"You haven't drink any of that perfection-breaker beverage, didn't you?!"
"… you mean that happy tea?" A sweat drop appears on Fara's head.
"A complete danger for Squid society…" Mirii's forefinger pointed at Kelly. "The nightmare for any maximum performances!"
"Ah, you shouldn't worry about that at all." Fara nodded. "Kelly grew an immune against it, by the many times she drank it."
"I-Immune?!" Mirii's mouth opened wide, pointing her face at Fara.
"Kelly told me so!" Fara smiled, while closing her eyes.
Immediately, Kelly was now bouncing in circle around Mirii.
"Tee hee hee! No matter how much I drink that tea, now… I will never be as happy as I can normally be!"
Mirii's face went paler.
"No, no, NO!" Her hands went on Kelly's shoulders. "My smartphone cannot fall in the hands of a happyaholic!"
"Kelly is full of control!" Hun walked towards Mirii. "You said that she used your smartphone perfectly and she even drew the destination where we need to go!"
Mirii's eyes closed.
"Wh-why don't we just start our mission?" Some sweat appeared on his forehead. "I'm sure that everything will be"
"Before I forget, why do I have to take off my shoes, whenever I have to walk in this part of the hallway?" Her head tilted to the right.
"We haven't told you yet?" Fara opened her mouth. "The hallway is composed by grass!"
"Grass?! It can't be!" Mirii's eyes grew a bit.
"Well, it's… whose idea was to make the hallway like that?" Hun turned over his little sister.
"Chie!" Fara nodded, while smiling. "She said that having some flora would attract tons of pure energy to protect us from Demon Squids!"
"You can't have real grass in a house!" Mirii's hands went on her head. "V-visitors will take you for fools!"
"And we do not care about it, Technie!" Fara chuckled. "We are ourselves and no one can change us according to their views!"
"Heh… I agree with Fara here, Mirii." Hun shrugged. "I don't see what's wrong with this…"
"… grass in a house… … it does sound kind of revolutionary…" Her irises went to the right. "Perhaps, it just needs some refinements here and there… and it could represent finesse and elegance!" She smiled a bit.
"But it's elegant!" Fara opened her arms.
"Bah... it's not enough for my artistic standards." Mirii sighed. "But enough talking… our mission officially begins, now."
As she tracked down the paper on the floor, she walked towards it and jumped as soon as she was closer to it, turning into a Squid in midair. She dived inside the paper, swimming through its paper-like world and bounced off it, returning into her humanoid while in midair and landing on the grass with her feet.
Voices were coming ahead, as the girl was surrounded by bushes and trees. Hun jumped out from the paper, landing near Mirii and turning into his humanoid form once near her.
"Did we arrived…?" Hun turned over the bushes.
"Let me check." The girl crouched, walking slowly towards the nearest bush.
Her hands pushed its leafs on the side, immediately seeing a line of Inklings in front of a building's entrance. Her eyes squeezed a bit.
"… Squid experience… the real name of this place…" She slowly nodded. "It looks like the entrance of a club, since the Squids in line do remind me of one… … it's been a long time, since I went in that club with Greta and Bars…"
Her face went slightly paler.
"Squids who were literally animals with their dances and beverage takings… Greta almost managed to make me drink those disgusting drinks too!" She swallowed silently. "N-not that I was expecting any trace of perfection in this building, but… it-it can't literally be a-a club, can it?!"
"Mirii, do we have to wait for a long time…?" Hun frowned a bit, as he reached the girl's right side and pushed the bush's leafs on the side. "… how come there are all those Squids in front of that door?"
"… perhaps the building hasn't opened yet." She looked around herself. "Where is Kelly?"
"I'm sure she is coming… in the meantime, we have to find a way to enter inside!" He nodded. "Do you know what we have to do?"
"I need to think about it…" She returned her head forward. "Without prepared plans in my arsenal, I cannot show you perfection."
Her irises pointed at an Inkling girl wearing gothic clothes, talking with another girl whose chin was reaching her forehead… Mirii's mouth opened.
"I know her!" She frowned, sealing her mouth. "It's that mumbling idiot who was sleeping on the bench, when I ventured alone inside Happy Squid Land! … I wonder…"
She turned over Hun, leaning towards him.
"Do you see that girl wearing gothic clothes…?"
"What's gothic…?" Hun pointed his head at Mirii.
"… never mind…" She sighed, while closing her eyes for a brief moment. "Follow me, Hunley…"
