"Heeeeerreee I aaamm!" Kelly fell behind Mirii.
The girl gasped, bouncing and turning 180° in midair. She frowned, pulling her arm and hand, while snorting.
"Wh-what you want to do to me?!" Kelly's hands covered her cheeks.
"… next time you attempt at making me look like an imbecile, you will be punished." Her eyes squeezed a bit.
"Mirii, don't be mad at her…" Hun's hands pushed the girl slightly over the bush. "You know that she didn't meant to do it."
"And you, Hunley, don't always justify her!" Mirii looked now at the boy. "She has responsibilities just like you and me… if she commits a mistake, she must learn in one way or the other."
"Bu-but I'm so careful about my responsibilities…" Her hand showed a smartphone. "You see? I haven't thrown it or lost it…"
"You better keep those essentials in place…" Mirii's arms folded. "Because I want to see perfection in today's mission. All the evidences must be obtained, all the wretched machines destroyed, if possible, and all the criminals thrown in a prison!"
Her head pointed at each Inkling.
"Understood?" Her head rose.
"Yes… but promise me to stay calm, ok?" Hun sighed, bringing his hands behind his back.
Mirii turned behind.
"I'm always calm, Hunley." She bended forward, observing the line of Inklings in front of the entrance. "None of them are looking in this way… I couldn't choose a more perfect opportunity than this!"
She walked out of the bush, as her arm waved in her direction: Hun stepped out of the bush, followed by Kelly.
"Remember, Kelly… hear my thoughts and get ready to take photos of any important elements I say." Her head rose.
"Yes, yes… I always have my ears open for my friends, so don't worry!" Kelly chuckled, springing while proceeding. "Master Hun wants to know what he should do in front of those Squids…"
"Listen and speak only when he's mentioned… just as I said before." She nodded. "Now, be careful: focus on the situation at hand!"
"Mirii said that you have to listen and talk only when you are called!" Kelly closed her eyes. "Now pay attention to the situation!"
Hun nodded, while smiling at Mirii.
The girl kept looking at the gothic Inkling lady, as her mouth flattened slightly.
"Look at her clothing... something that I consider 'unsophisticated' and 'primitive'." She snorted. "I would choose a dress that reaches my knees, instead of that short-sized one… in other words, a clothing that is useful in many situation!"
"Tee hee!" Kelly grinned. "Mirii loooves those type of clothing!"
"WHAT DID YOU SAID?!" Mirii stopped, as she turned behind and expanded her eyes.
"M-Mirii!" Hun's hands went in front of his chest, as sweat jumped out from his head and his feet were pressing the floor. "Wh-what's wrong with you?!"
The girl frowned a lot, watching Kelly laughing loudly.
"… Kelly, do not make that type of joke, ever again…" She returned forward, resuming her walking. "Otherwise, I will make sure that Hunley punishes your bad behavior."
"Kelly, I hope you didn't made Mirii mad… that was uncalled for." Hun sighed, following Mirii.
"S-sorry!" Kelly's finger gently rubbed her cheek, as a sweat drop appeared on her head and her eyes were closed. "I just wanted to cheer you all up…"
Mirii growled, as she slowly shook her head. The girl stopped in front of the gothic-wearing Inkling lady, which her sight immediately went on Mirii.
"… you look familiar…" Her eyes squeezed a bit.
"You know her?" The tallest of the girls rubbed her hands, while smiling at Mirii.
"… I swear I saw you somewhere, before…!" The girl scratched her head, while raising her mouth a bit.
"Hmpf!" Mirii's arms folded. "You did when I woke you up inside the changing room."
The gothic girl's hand lowered, while keeping the same expression…
"… it's about time you showed up." Her eyebrows lowered slightly, while smiling in a similar manner. "I thought you were too aristocratic to set foot in here at night."
"I'm not afraid of diving into a pool of idiocy…" Mirii's head rose. "… being perfect means to be ready for most situations, after all."
"You said it right!" The girl grinned. "You are gonna love this pool of idiocy, sweety!"
"Don't call me in such vulgar way, you primitive creature!" Mirii frowned a lot.
The gothic girl bumped her tall friend with her elbow.
"What do you say Lovy? Not bad for a beginner, eh?"
Mirii's eyes expanded.
"Ehm… I don't know…" Lovy's hands went behind her back. "She is… a bit too arrogant…"
"How dare you?!" Mirii's forefinger pointed at Lovy's face. "Judging a complete stranger like that?!"
"W-wait!" Lovy's hands went in front of her mouth, as her irises shrunk. "I-I didn't meant"
"Relax!" The gothic girl wrapped her arm behind Mirii's shoulders. "She was talking about your coolness, not judging your behavior…"
Mirii swiftly dodged the arm, jumping near Hun.
"Enough with your stupidity!" She gritted her teeth. "We are here to know this place at night… not for being judged by two fools like you!"
"Mirii, please!" Hun turned his head over the girl. "There is no need to make them"
"Who's this pretty boy talkin'?" The gothic girl's eyelids lowered to the middle.
Hun blushed a lot, while looking back at her. Several veins popped out from Mirii's forehead.
"I think this pile of antics is getting in our way…" Mirii's arm went above Hun's chest, pushing him backwards.
"Oh…" The gothic girl's mouth opened. "… so, that's why you are here…"
"… excuse me?" Mirii's eyes squeezed a bit.
"Melissa…" Lovy walked closer towards her friend. "… sh-shouldn't we"
Melissa shushed the girl, while pointing her palm over her face.
"Now I see why you went all the way down here… Mirii." She nodded.
"Yes, my name is Mirii." Her hands went on her hips. "But as I said"
"Your looks really mislead your true, wild nature you have sealed in your heart…" Melissa's hands went behind her neck, as her smiling mouth rose. "… you can't wait to unlock it with pretty boy, hmm?"
…
Mirii blushed.
"Wh-what kind of nonsense are you…"
"Don't make that ignorant face in front of me, sweety." Melissa chuckled. "You just said it all!"
Mirii turned her head over Hun, as the boy was doing the same over her: both were blushing in the same way…
"If you were looking for guidance, I think it would be best to let you explore 'Squid Experience' on your own!" Melissa showed her palms. "Together with pretty boy, that's…!" She chuckled.
"Be clearer with your speech!" Mirii growled loudly. "What ridiculous implications are you suggesting?!"
"I strongly suggest that you both go around the building and meet up with Pol!" Melissa pointed her forefinger at the building's corner. "He guards the second entrance of 'Squid Experience', which is exclusive for the cute couples who wish to try out the machines with each other."
…
"WHAAAAATT?!" Mirii's face went full red.
"C-CUTE COUPLES?!" Hun bended forward, while ink flew out from his nostril.
"Yeah." Melissa shrugged. "Aren't you one?"
Mirii stumbled.
"Th-this is a-no, wait! WAIT!" Her eyes went wide, as her mouth flattened. "I-I can't go and say that! … because… because I can't!" Her eyes squeezed. "I-I can't say it! No matter what!"
"W-well…" Sweat covered Hun's red face, as his irises kept bouncing left and right. "… I… I…"
"Let's go! Now!" Mirii grabbed the back of Hun's shirt, pulling him with her. "We must enter inside the building!"
"M-Mirii!" Hun twisted his head to the right. "Bu-but she said that only cute couples can"
"ARE YOU SUSPECTING THAT I'M NOT AWARE OF THAT?!" Ink flew out of her nostrils, as her hand covered her nose.
The girl kept pulling Hun, passing the left corner and going behind it. Kelly was following the two, while giggling non-stop. Mirii stopped, as the boy immediately turned over the girl.
"… nnnggh… nnnnnnnggggghhhh!" Sweat was descending from her head, as her mouth waved. "How am I going to communicate telepathically in such state?! Gaaah!"
"Mirii…" Hun took a deep, loud breath… "… you… you have a plan…?"
Mirii swallowed silently, as she shook visibly.
"… o-of course I do!" She nodded. "I'm sure you know where I… I want to get at!" She nodded twice, while sighing silently.
"You want us to… p-pretend being a cute couple and"
Mirii's hands covered her nose, as ink was coming through her fingers' openings.
"YO-YO-YO-YOU GOT THE POINT!" She bounced away from the boy. "LET'S MOVE! MOVE!"
"C-calm down, Mirii!" Hun's face went bright red, as he chased after the girl. "Wait for me!"
Kelly follow the boy, while giggling and opening her arms wide. Mirii reached the corner to the right, turning widely and immediately seeing a tall Inkling man wearing sunglasses and a black suit. He was standing in front of a metallic red door, with his arms folded and his head slowly turning over Mirii…
Hun stopped near her right side, staring down at the man as well. The two Inklings stood a few seconds looking back… before Mirii lifted her posture and advanced with a gentle pace, climbing on a sidewalk in the process.
"Mister… …" Her head rose. "Curses! I forgot his name…!"
"Pol?" Kelly reached Mirii's left side, while bending her back more than 45° forward. "I think it is Pol…"
"… Pol?" She kept her breath.
The man nodded. Mirii sighed loudly, as Hun rushed over her.
"Mr. Pol… I'm Mirii Kelpshell." She pressed her feet down, as her hand caressed her tentacle.
"I'm Hun!" He waved his hand, while smiling.
The man kept staring at them…
"… uh?" The boy looked at the girl. "Did he… listened to us?"
"I'm sure he did, Hunley…" Mirii's arms folded. "… I'm suspecting that he's expecting something from us…"
"Really?" Hun's eyebrows went down, as his hand went on his chin. "… I'm not sure about that, to be honest. What does he"
Suddenly, the girl's arms wrapped around him: both blushed intensively, as her head rested on his shoulder. His arms immediately hugged her shoulders, pulling her closer… her legs began shaking visibly, her mind began spinning out of control.
Pol's hand went on the door, pushing it wide open: he moved to its right side, as his shoulder rested on the wall and smiled.
"… ehm… wh-what that means now, M-Mirii…?" His head turned down-left, looking at her face smiling more and more.
"… my arms… they are refusing to open…" Her eyes closed. "… there is nothing wrong if I keep hugging him for a bit longer…"
"… wow… I have never seen such face from her, before…!" Hun's mouth opened a bit. "It's… it's so… … wh-what I have to do in order to keep her like this?!"
Kelly's eyes sparkled. Her thumb began tapping on Mirii's smartphone, as her irises saw its display. Her hand lifted the device in front of her face. The screen was showing the two Inklings hugging each other…
