Hun was walking, following the woman through the hallway.

"She's sure taking me into unknown areas…" His mouth downturned. "… wh-what I'm doing?! I'm supposed to find Mirii!" His mouth now waved. "She might be in danger…"

"Ah, shoot!" The woman stopped, whispering and enlarging her eyes. "Here it comes the security member!"

"Oh?" His eyes focused forward.

A tall humanoid jellyfish wearing sunglasses and a blue suit filled with various stickers depicting Squids and known brands, as well as eyes and weapons. The woman went faster, as sweat appeared on her forehead.

"You." The jellyfish pointed his tentacle over Hun. "Papers."

"Huh?!" The boy stopped, as he lifted his hands in front of his shoulders. "Th-the ones they gave us to the reception?!"

"Ack!" The woman turned behind, biting her lips and raising her eyebrows, while staring back at Hun.

"… yes. Give." The stretched tentacle kept bending its tip towards the jellyfish.

"Bu-but Mirii has it!" Hun opened his arms wide. "She's my friend… we are supposed to visit this building!"

The woman's eyes expanded.

"Papers. Give." The jellyfish proceeded over him. "Papers."

"I said I don't have them…" Hun's head shook, as he took a big breath with his nose-

"No papers?" The jellyfish's left tentacle grabbed a black bat. "No stay."

"W-wait!" Hun's face went paler, bringing his hands in front of his face and sweating. "M-my friend h-has them! W-we just need"

"He's the prophet of happiness!" The woman frowned, while standing in front of the tall man. "I called him when I was performing the ritual!"

"… prophet?" The jellyfish's eyes blinked.

He laughed loudly.

"That's not funny!" She stretched her arms down, clenching her fists. "One of the prophet's assistants told me about his identity! He decided to reveal himself to ME!" Her hands went on her chest.

"Papers." The man pointed his bat at the woman.

"… you squidding?" Her eyelids lowered to the middle, opening her hands. "I'm a veteran in here… so much, I just need to say that I'm bringing the prophet over the room numbered 409."

"… veteran." The man nodded, lowering his bat. "But… he…"

"He IS the prophet of happiness!" She folded her arms. "How many times I have to say that to you?! Come on!"

"… fine." The jellyfish bowed down. "Pass."

"Thank you!" She sighed loudly, before turning behind and smiling at Hun. "Now we can proceed."

"Is it alright…?" Hun lowered his shoulders, stretching his mouth. "I do have to show him"

She grabbed his hand, pulling him while walking past the jellyfish.

"W-well!" Her smile was pushing her cheeks, as her irises shrunk. "Off we go, Mr. Guard!" Gradually, she was increasing her pace speed. "Keep looking around!"

"W-wait!" Hun was stumbling, while still running. "Why they always pull me around like that?! Do they see me as a weight or something?!"

She turned to the right corner, as both the woman and the boy disappeared behind it. The tall jellyfish kept staring at the corner… before putting away his bat and picking up a walkie-talkie instead. His tentacle wrapped around it, as its tip touched the small red button on its right side.

"… sir. News. Room. Prophet."

Excellent job! Get back to your stand, now. I will take care of the rest…

The jellyfish let the button go and put his walkie-talkie away… before walking to the opposite direction.

A dim light was coming from several candles standing each on a golden base, which were situated on short tables. Each table had one Inkling whose hand palm pointed on the little flame's tip… some of them had their eyes closed, while others were looking over the ceiling.

"… I'm a happy Squid… I'm a happy Squid…" An Inkling boy wearing round glasses pulled his lips inside, while sitting down on a cushion and keeping his legs folded.

Another Inkling boy was situated near the corner, right next to a poster depicting a Squid opening the tentacles wide, while standing above a wave of green ink and several little Squids who had their tentacles pointed at the larger one. He kept moving his hand back and forth, always passing above his candle flame's tip.

"… I'm a happy Squid… … I'm a tired Squid!" He stands up, frowning. "I had enough of this farce!" He blew on the candle.

"Stop him!" An Inkling girl pointed her forefinger at the boy. "He's losing it!"

The glasses-wearing Inkling and an Inkling girl sporting freckles stood up and dashed over their target.

"Yeah, try stopping me this time!" He showed his fists. "I'm waiting!"

"Calm down already!" The glasses boy stopped, frowning back at him. "Do you think to be the only one suffering in those sessions?!"

"Yeah!" The girl stopped too, reacting in the same way. "I'm itching at throwing everything away too!"

"But you keep on calling and calling without even hoping to meet the prophet… you would never get tired of this!" He snorted, as he took some steps forward. "I'm off this pitiful place!"

"If you leave, we will all lose!" The girl stands up from the floor, folding her arms and looking at the complaining Inkling. "The chances of summoning the prophet will greatly increase, if we all call him in this sacred room at the same time!"

"We are doing that for so long, only the prophet would ever know!" His eyes squeezed a bit. "… if this Squid is supposed to be real too…"

Everyone else gasped, as they all expanded their eyes at him.

"Yes, I said that!" He resumed his advance, keeping his fists near his face. "Now let me off this farce!"

"Not so fast!" The girl's forefinger pointed at the floor, while her other hand held her nearest hip. "Apologize because of that terrible thing you just said."

"Never!" He showed his gritted teeth. "I wasted too much time following this farce, when we have so many machines in here to satisfy our needs of happiness!"

An Inkling man grabbed the boy's throat with his arms, grasping it. His hands pressed on the exposing arm, as his eyes expanded.

"We are waiting your apology, DJ…" The man lifted the boy up. "… you know that each of us has responsibilities to keep in mind."

"S-so?!" DJ coughed, as his irises shrunk. "Y-YOU know very well that you c-can't hurt a member of the club…!"

"Unless I'm defending someone..." He grasped his throat a bit more. "Those fists of yours already did their damage in the past… that stuff will not happen again. Not under my watch."

"L-LEAVE ME ALONE!" DJ kicked the air, as his head rose and his eyes squeezed. "G-get over it, already! I will never"

Knock knock.

…

"Who's at the door?!" The girl turned behind. "Open it, please."

The man lowered the boy down, pushing him once he touched the floor. An Inkling boy wearing a black kung-fu suit walked over the door and opened it.

"A dissident!" He frowned.

"I thought they swore to never come back to us!" The girl opened her arms wide.

"Not this one!" The woman walked inside the room, pulling Hun with her and pushing the boy on the side. "Because I have some wonderful news to share!"

"You will not!" DJ frowned, passing the leading girl and looking at Hun. "Listen, buddy… those Squids are nuts! Don't listen to their lies! Don't join their club!"

"Who are you calling buddy?!" The woman frowned. "He's not any ordinary Squid… he's the prophet of happiness!"

Her voice echoed through the ears of all Inklings. DJ stood perfectly still, keeping his expression. The pushed boy returned over the door… closing it with a decisive push. The woman turned around, while nodding.

"I finally did it!" She lifted Hun's hand, while closing her eyes. "I summoned the prophet's assistant which revealed his identity to me…"

"… gulp…" Hun's irises pointed at each staring Inkling. "… I-I don't like this…"

"… impossible." DJ shook his head, while folding his arms. "Simply impossible."

The leading girl went immediately in front of Hun, as her eyes were almost popping out. Her irises were pointing at his, as her hands opened wide.

"Ehm…" Hun tilted slightly backwards, as sweat appeared on his face. "… is there… something…"

"You are the same Inkling I saw in my dream…!" Her hands covered her mouth. "The one who claimed to be the prophet of happiness…!"

"I-I have never seen you before!" Hun's eyebrows rose, as he managed to slip off his hand from the woman.

"Th-the voice!" The girl gasped. "It's the exact same one!"

"No! That's not true!" He took some steps backwards. "I-I'm not a prophet! S-stop pretending"

The girl fell on her knees, as she kept bowing at him. One by one, the rest of the Inklings went down on their knees… except DJ, as he turned around.

"… turfin' incredible!" He slammed his hands on his hips. "I'm surrounded by desperate Squids…"

"O' great prophet of happiness… show us your pure form!" The girl smiled, once she lifted her posture. "Teach us the secrets for being able to smile sincerely…!"

"Ehm… ehm…" Sweat jumped out from Hun's head. "… I guess… s-simply smiling?" He grins a bit.

…

"Buddy, get out of this room." DJ began walking forward. "It's for your own good."

"C-can I do that?!" Hun swallowed silently.

"You just have to turn into your other form!" The woman frowned at Hun. "That's what she meant to say!"

"Ah… that?" He shrugged. "Alright…" He turned into a Squid, as he jumped and landed vertically. "Like so?" He opened his tentacles.

"I told you to ignore those nuts!" DJ snorted, stopping and hitting his forehead with his hand palm. "They are expecting you to invoke pure energy with your tentacles!"

"… pure energy?" His eyes blinked. "... but we are not anywhere near the Shrine… what's he talking about?!"

"T-try it, please!" The woman clasped her hands. "Please!"

"Yeah! Please!" The glassed-wearing boy nodded, while keeping his knees down.

"We all want to be happier!" The freckles girl moved her clasped hands back and forth. "We need it so badly!"

All of the sudden, several Inklings began cheering for the Squid, as he kept turning left and right.

"… alright, alright!" Hun rose his tentacles. "I'll try evoking this pure energy!" He frowned a bit.

The rest of the Inklings sealed their mouth and simply stared at the Squid, as Hun stretched his tentacles as far as I can…

"This will never work… I can't gather any pure energy like this!" His eyes closed. "At least I will finally convince all those Squids"

"What's that?!"

His eyes opened back. Most of the Inklings were standing up on their feet, as some were still down on their knees… but all looking above Hun.

"I KNEW IT!" The woman smiled widely, as her mouth opened and her eyes sparkled. "HE'S THE TRUE PROPHET WE WERE HOPING TO SEE!"

"… a-am I seeing this?!" DJ shook his head rapidly, as he bended forward. "Unbelievable!"

"The prophet! The prophet!" An Inkling girl jumped up and down, while chuckling.

"… I don't get it…" His head tilted upwards. "AH!"

A large ball of green ink was floating above his head, dripping droplets every once in a while.

"H-how am I doing it?!" His tentacles shook. "I don't understand!"

The ball began floating forward, as Hun's tentacles hit the floor. Instantly, the Squid began stumbling uncontrollably…

"Uff… uff…" His eyelids lowered to the middle. "… what's happening to me, now…?"

Suddenly, a shadowy Squid appeared right in front of the ball, extending his tentacles diagonally up. The ball shook visibly, before passing above the mysterious figure and ramming over Hun. It hits him like nothing, going over the door and blasting it out with ease.

The Inklings were diving away, screaming at the top of their lungs. Hun was rolling backwards, before stopping with his back down and his eyes almost closed.

… your powers… are mine! MINE! Ha ha ha haaaa!
