"Gaaaah!" An Inkling man wearing a dark blue kimono fell on the floor, as his katana flew backwards.

It bounced once it touched the ground, sliding over a large vase sitting near the wall.

"Aaaaah!" An Inkling woman was frowning a lot, dashing forward and holding an orange katana with both her hands.

Her kimono had ink stains of various colors and even her face had some spread around. She jumped high, swinging her katana with speed.

PAF!

"Nooo!" She flipped backwards, landing on her back and sliding for some feet.

"You fools! Haven't you figured it out already?! I have the powers of your Master now!"

"Grrrr…" Jerkily, the man rose his posture… as he looked right in front of him. "… how?! How did you do that?!"

"… my minions! Finish them off!"

A group of Squids jumped towards the woman, as she was lifting her posture… she screamed loudly, as her hands covered her face.

SPLAT!

She flew away as a small Squid, leaving a large magenta ink spot. The man gritted his teeth, as he disappeared into thin air before a green Squid landed nearby.

"Ha ha ha! It's awesome! Purely awesome!"

The Squids all turned over the same direction… they looked slightly upwards.

"None of those Shrine losers can stop us, no matter what kind of tricks they have in mind! We can easily conquer their home, if we try doing so… … is that portal ready yet?!"

"N-not yet, sir…!"

The Squids booed loudly, while frowning.

"Silence!"

Everyone else shut their mouths, as their irises shrunk.

"We are unstoppable and happy, that's true… but wasting time wastes our opportunities to shine!"

The Squids cheered loudly, as some of them jumped highly.

"Make sure there aren't any more of those pesky Shrine Squids!"

"Coming through! Coming throough… let me pass! Oops!"

A magenta Squid slid through the group of the Squids, as he stopped whenever there was one on his way.

"Let me pass, please! I must warn our leader of terrible monsters!"

The Squids gasped, all of them looking at the magenta ally.

"… monsters you say?"

"Y-yes!" Sweat jumped out from his head. "We were patrolling the entrance to see if that annoying Shrine Squid was still guarding the place… bu-but we found 2 awful creatures! The most awful of them all! Th-they cannot be described from how scary they look!"

A loud chat rose from the Squids' mouth.

"Silence!"

Everyone else turned in the same direction, as they went silent and shrunk their irises.

"Whoever those things are, get rid of them! They must not reach the portal!"

"Bu-but they are invincible!" The magenta Squid shook. "We have attacked them countless times and they were still up on their feet!"

"It doesn't matter! Once the portal is ready, I will call you all…! Think a way to keep those losers at bay! You are an army against 2, after all!"

…

"Take off those scared looks from your faces and get back to work! NOW!"

The Squids fled in a rush! Each one took a direction and left a specific-colored ink trail: the floor soon looked like a parade of blue, orange, green, yellow and magenta.

"Hmmm… could those monsters be sent by the Shrine…? I must know more information about them!"

"I can please your demand…"

"Hmm?! You… why are you still here?!"

"I just arrived, my lord… as you can see, I came from that direction."

"Ah… … you look smart enough, Squid! Be my spy and gather some history behind their presence!"

"Yes, my lord… I will make sure that no wretched fiends will interfere with our plans."

"Good, good! Go and make me proud, young minion! Ha ha ha!"

"Someone! Give me turbo jets!"

Greta was frowning, as she kept bouncing at each step she was making on the floor. Bars was doing similarly, as he was walking in front of the girl. On their sides, various shut doors reaching from the walls. In front of them, cushions filled with Inkling water. A redish tone was lurking all around…

"Girl, like… if we get turbo jets, aren't we gonna miss out the protein food storage?" Bars shrugged.

"You and your proteins!" She rolled her eyes. "I would rather turbo jet right inside a room who happens to be infested with blue ink!"

"Eh eh! Like, that wouldn't be bad at all!" His eyes closed.

Greta snorted… as her irises fell on her left side. Her eyelids began opening, as her wobbly legs almost stopped. Bars was still walking, aiming his sight at a large cushion in the middle of-

"What's up with that room?"

"Room?" He turned behind, as he lifted his Roller. "What room?"

He sees Greta looking over a direction… as he twisted his head right on it: a semi-opened door was emanating a stronger red light from its opening.

"… ship!" He chuckled once. "Like, this kinda reminds me of that horror movie…" He began walking towards-

"No!" Greta waved her tentacles, as sweat jumped out from her head. "Bad boy! No go there!"

"Aaaah, girl… can't let this occasion escape!" He grins, as he closed his eyes for a brief time. "I'm gonna star in an all exclusive movie, streamed for just this one time in the whole universe…"

"Quit fantasying!" Her tentacles went on her head, before dashing over him. "T-take off those stars from your eyes!"

The boy reached the door, as his free tentacle pushed it slowly… the girl jumped on his back, pulling him.

"Get off, get off!" She bended backwards, while squeezing her eyes. "Come oooo"

"Ooooh ship!" Bars' eyes expanded. "A total wrecked view!"

Her eyes opened instantly… the room had 3 lit candles on the floor in the middle: each candle was standing on a drawn triangle's corner, which outline had a tone-switching red color and its inside was completely colored in orange.

Two lines of three wooden altars were each sitting on a side, as the altars' top had each an opened book. Behind each line of altars, there were at least 6 chairs which were each turned in a different way.

A desk, coupled with a computer screen monitor and several files and papers, was put on the top-right angle of the room. An office chair was thrown in front of the desk and a cupboard was standing in a tilted position on the desk's left side.

"… this is…" Greta's mouth opened, as she landed on the floor and took some steps forward.

Her head was looking all around…

"… talk about seeing some crazy stuff…!" Her irises shrunk, as she stopped. "Just, what is going on inside this place?!"
