"I'm doing this only because Videl is my friend," Sharpener told Gohan. It was the last day of high school.

Gohan blinked, unsure of where this was going.

"Now, in this place everybody knows you're Videl's guy and off limits," he continued. "But when you're off to college, it's a whole new world. And even though you look nothing like me, apparently some girls apparently find you attractive. So I need to make sure you know how to say no to them."

"Um . . . okay," Gohan responded.

Sharpener pointed at Gohan's schoolbag. "Where's that stupid notebook of yours?"

"Oh, right." Gohan obliged. He took out a notebook and started flipping through the pages, accidentally revealing sketches he'd drawn of potential new poses for the Great Saiyaman. He quickly tried to hide those from Sharpener.

Sharpener rolled his eyes. "We all know you're the Great Saiyaman. I just don't understand why you feel the need to wear that goofy outfit with the cape. It's not a big deal, really, if people know you're not the wimp you like to pretend to be."

"Y-You're mistaken," Gohan insisted. "I'm just a fan, is all." He quickly tried to change the subject. "Well, you were saying how to say no to girls?"

"Right." Sharpener decided to let it go. "So, there are two main scenarios I can think of. First, when a girl doesn't know you're taken. Second, if she knows you're taken and she doesn't care."

Gohan nodded, writing everything down as he'd done before.

"All right, let's try the first scenario. Pretend I'm a girl." Sharpener said, flipping his hair.

Gohan looked at Sharpener, feeling slightly uncomfortable. "Um . . . okay."

Sharpener tittered and spoke in a high-pitch voice. "So Gohan, you're so handsome. Would you like to go out with me sometime?"

"I . . . I have a girlfriend. I'm sorry, but I hope you'll find what you're looking for." Gohan added a bow to make sure he remained polite.

Sharpener seemed unimpressed. "Hmm . . . not a line I would personally use, but I guess that would work. All right, let's move on. In this case, she doesn't take no for an answer."

Sharpener flipped his hair again to get into character. "But Gohan, is your girlfriend prettier that me?"

Gohan stepped back as Sharpener/The Girl broached him. "I-I don't know. Beauty is such an subjective measure and what I think of what she looks like doesn't represent a universal truth, and you two arguably have such different physical features that comparing you two from that standpoint could be like comparing apples to oranges."

"Okay, stop," Sharpener said, exasperated. "Your answer to that question should always be yes. Say it with me: My girlfriend is prettier than anyone else I've ever seen and I'm not interested in dating you."

Gohan repeated the statement and wrote it down in his notebook for good measure so he could practice saying it later.

"All right. Now let's say she's really aggressive. I know you like the nice guy approach, but there's a time when you need to really put your foot down so you won't disappoint Videl. Ready?"

"I guess." Gohan swallowed. What would Sharpener/The Girl come up with next, and would he really have girls trying to ask him out all the time in college? He thought college was a place for serious people who wanted to further their studies.

Sharpener flipped his hair, reached out for Gohan's free hand, and mimicked the most seductive tone he could come up with. "If you go out with me, I'll let you touch my breasts."

Gohan froze. His mouth was opened, but he had trouble forming a coherent sentence. As Sharpener brought his hand closer and closer to his chest, he came to his senses, firmly pulled his arm away, and backed away until he reached a safe distance.

"No! I love Videl! I don't want you at all!" He pointed at Sharpener for emphasis, looking genuinely disturbed at the idea that he was going to cheat on Videl.

Sharpener walked toward Gohan, who hadn't fully calmed down, and put one hand on Gohan's shoulder. "Not the smoothest way to say no to a girl," he said in his normal voice, "but you were able to get your point across. Good job."

"Thanks for all your help, Sharpner," Gohan said, putting his notebook back into his schoolbag. He didn't even need to use it that much after all.

"I have nothing left to teach you. Just invite me to the wedding, okay?"

"Of course. Take care." They shook hands, and just like that, Sharpener walked off into the sunset.
