A large, papery-like Squid was floating in the air, with two arms sticking out from a side each. The eyes were just black and its color was gradually changing from dark-green to dark-purple. The large, left hand was pointing at Hun.

Mirii was slowly looking at the creature, with her eyelids lowered to the middle.

"B-Boss… I-I was about to vanquish this pile of insignificant ink!" Her tentacles pointed at the little girl.

"Wh-what?!" Kelly frowned, as more tears fell from her eyes.

"Allow me to demonstrate my fighting skills once more." Mirii nodded. "You know that I"

"There is no need for more jazz, Mirii!" The large Squid laughed. "I got that pipsqueak right where I wanted!"

Kelly's mind was seeing herself panting and grasping her brush. Around her, chairs were down, same for two cupboards and countless papers spread everywhere.

"L-leave Master Hun alone..." Kelly sobbed, as she began taking steps over the papery foe.

Her mind let her see herself jumping over the Demon Squid, swinging her brush in midair.

"... no matter if yo-you are all big and scary..." She sniffed loudly.

Finally, her mind transmitted herself falling on her knees... darkness was conquering her sight.

"I'M READY TO PROTECT HIM! EVEN AT THE COST OF MY OWN TENTACLES!" Her eyes were wide, her irises small and her face resembled a nuclear reaction.

...

"... you sure remember the big hit I gave you before..." The living drawing laughed shortly. "... you don't want to get hit again..."

"I-I prefer using peaceful dialogues instead of violence...!" She brought her brush closer to her chest. "... bu-but I'm no seachicken! I'm NOT"

"Bo-riiiing!" His right, pointy hand aimed at her head. "Skip ahead your monologue and listen up!"

"NO!" Her eyes squeezed, as her head shook. "Leave Master Hun alone!"

"You fool!" Mirii frowned at the little girl. "If you dare disobeying our leader, you will be terminated on the spot!"

"Exactly!" The monster rubbed his hands. "That's the whole reason why I lured you into this room... this very-special room!"

"Wait... bu-but that can't be!" Kelly looked at the green Squid. "He is Master Hun! There is no question about it!"

"Quit calling him in such minimal way!" Mirii shook her tentacle at her.

"He is indeed Master Hun... but the trick lies in within those same walls!" His arms opened wide, as he spun clockwise. "It took me some time... but I managed to create walls that disallow any pesky Shrine teleportation magic!"

"A-a trap?!" Her eyes went wide.

Her mouth opened wide.

"... it-it doesn't work indeed!" She curled sligthly on herself...

"I knew about your presence, when I was spying your actions... I thought I tired you enough with my happy music, in order to make you sleep earlier and capture you as easily as a bug!" He snorted.

"S-so that's why...!" Her hand covered her opened mouth.

"Your will of defending this Squid allowed you to appear on my way... I was about to completely absorb his powers too! I had no choice but to stop you for a brief while... splatting you wasn't an option." He floated on the left side.

Kelly bit her lips, as she lowered her brush...

"I threw you in a room and distorted your energy, so that your Shrine friends couldn't find you back... instead, they would find Squids who are more than happy to do the dirty job!"

"Th-that would make you dirtier..." Kelly growled, as she rose her shoulders a bit.

"In the meantime, I had to find a way to capture you, once I would be in full control of my newly stolen powers... and I thought of using the good ol' wall trick!" He laughed shortly. "Once I finished my work, I simply let your friends wake you up... and directed this Squid's energy over your mind only!"

"H-how can you do that?! Th-that's not possible to do!" She curled on herself a bit more...

"Oh yes it is..." He bended forward. "When I'm not around the Shrine, I can easily distort your pathetic energies all around... couple that with a brain who can come up with the most ingenious plans and BAM!" His right hand hit his left hand palm. "You are yourself in front of an artistic product!"

"Th-that's so despicable... yo-you are a despicable being!" She grasped her brush tightly.

"Correction: I'm the most awesome of ALL Demon Squids!" He rose his arms upwards for a moment. "Remember my incredible plan... because THIS is what we all need to know all about!"

He waved his left hand at the little girl.

"... and not your wishy-washy comments on superficial emotions."

"Wh-why you captured me?!" Kelly was roaring, almost thinking to throw her weapon at the taunter.

"Because you are the last piece I need for my incoming invasion in your homeland...!" He showed his palm hand at her. "Draw a picture of the Shrine on a large paper. I will carry that paper out of this room... and use the special ink created by my assistants to convert it into a free-for-all portal for my whole army of black Squids!" He smiled, showing a pointy tooth on each corner of his mouth.

"I would rather forget how to draw than helping in your evil schemes!" She trembles, as her feet were taking steps backwards...

"You refuse? Ha ha ha...!"

His hand grabbed the green Squid, lifting him with ease.

"... then your useless guide will turn into a memory from the past!"

"NEVER!" Her legs were barely holding her upwards.

"Ha ha ha!" His free hand kept pulling his fingers towards himself. "Then... give me the super-sized, drawn paper...!" He laughed some more. "Come on... coooommee ooooonn...!"

"No... n-no..." Kelly kept shaking her head...

"Ha ha ha-OW!"

His hand opened, as Hun began falling down... hitting the mattress and slightly yelping.

"WHO HIT ME ON THE BACK?!" He turned behind. "... uhm?!"

Mirii herself was the only Squid appearing on his sight. She had a magenta ink trail behind her.

"Tsk." She folded her tentacles. "You are the most close-minded of all Demon Squids."

"It-it can't be..." The papery fiend backed away slightly. "I thought I have manipulated your brain! I lured you inside that dark room and made you sleep! HOW DID YOU SNAPPED OUT OF IT?!"

"You almost succeeded... but I managed to remember the truth, after I met my friends on the hallway." She lifted her head as a nodding sign.

"Grrrrrr... I-I sent you to investigate...!" He shook his fist at her.

"Luckily I was still remembering all the previous information I learned under my manipulated status... that helped me craft a counter-plan who would allow me to fight you alongside a trusted ally." Her eyes closed.

Kelly's mouth was a bit open.

"Grrrrrr! No wonder you are always mentioned in any discussions...!" Smoke was coming out from his sides. "You have so many cards under your sleeves..."

"That would be perfection for you..." She rubbed the floor. "But enough talk! Return Hunley's powers, you worthless picture!"

"Yes!" Kelly lifted her brush while frowning. "Please, do it!"

"I just got it!" He lifted his fist. "Instead, I can give you a frisbee!"

His fist was rapidly landing, moving over Hun...

PAF!

"Grrraaaahh!" He shook his hit hand, watching Mirii falling back after performing a back flip.

"You cannot face Hunley's powers!" She dashed towards him. "Together with pure perfection, your days of terror are over!"

She jumped high, spinning on herself... as she passed near the dodging papery foe and landed on the floor.

"This is for hurting Master Hun!" Kelly was shouting a battle cry, as she was running with her brush pointing upwards.

The little girl jumped, as she kept swinging her weapon and let blue ink sprung from the tip. Some of it was landing right near the green Squid...

"Oh no!" She stopped immediately, as her eyes were looking at her guide.

"Ha!" He pointed at her, while laughing. "Says the Squid who couldn't even see"

All the sudden, Mirii jumped above Kelly, directing her spinning head towards him.

"Grraaaah!" He kept watching, as he got a hit on the head.

The papery creature floated all the way down.

"Surrender yourself!" Mirii landed back on the ground, as she was still chasing down her enemy. "There is no escape!"

"Uff..." Jerkily, he rose his posture. "... yes... there is..."

His eyes flashed, as Mirii jumped. As she was trying to spin, the Squid managed to flip sideways, once, as she was leaning over the right side.

Thump!

She yelped, sliding for some feet ahead while nothing was left behind her. The Demon Squid disappeared, while Kelly rushed over his previous position. She stopped, once her sight couldn't track down her opponent...

Returning to my clan, after two little girls destroyed me... I have so much shame, I need to take a shower!

"You would need more than a shower, you insolent!" Mirii squeezed her eyes a bit. "Begin reading books and use your logic more accurately, rather than wishing to defeat Squids stronger than you!"

...

"... he escaped." She returned into her humanoid form, as she folded her arms and rose her head slightly. "In order to save himself, he returned the stolen powers back to his original owner..."

"We diiiiiidd iiiiiitt!" Kelly hugged Mirii. "You did well!"

"Enough hugging me!" Mirii pushed her away, as she shook off her clothes. "Hunley needs my assistance!"

"... uff... ow... my head..." Slowly, Hun's eyes opened. "... what happened...?"

Mirii's ears rose... as her mouth smiled. She rushed towards him, as her arms opened wide.

"Hunley!" Her eyes sparkled, as she slightly blushed. "Hunley!"
