Mike was standing on the wall near the metallic door, still keeping his arms folded and his eyes as vigilant as ever. His head turned to his right, watching Hun in the distance: he was walking on the sidewalk, waving his hand at him.
The man's right hand went on his right pocket, as he left the wall and stepped right in front of the door, while aiming at the boy.
"Have you found Greta's smartphone?"
Hun shook his head, as he increased the pace of his walking.
"No luck…" He stopped in front of the man, as he waved his arms around. "… it could be anywhere, at this point!"
"Don't give up just yet." Mike took off his smartphone, bringing it in front of his chest. "But before you go, let me tell you something I discovered while you were walking away…"
"Hmm?" Hun tilted his head to the right side.
"I took another look at the messages I received earlier and I found out that another Inkling was supposed to come in here and not you." His eyes rested on the smartphone screen, as his thumb pressed on the button below. "The Squid's name is Harry Squidson. Knowing your surname, I quickly assumed they were talking about you."
"Harry…" Hun frowned, folding his arms and lowering his irises. "… no… I don't think I have heard of him…"
"Me neither." Mike's thumb was now sliding on the screen. "As far as I know, Greta gave him a special role in the staff… only she knows said role, though." He flattened his mouth, remembering something else. "And Mr. Calmag."
"Uhm… I see…" He looked to the side, as he scratched the bottom-left side of his face. "Better find something to say… Mirii shouldn't take too long"
"Yeah, Mr. Harry Squidson." The man nodded, as he shut off his smartphone's screen and brought it back to its place at the same time. "They even sent me a photo of him, right after the previous message… that's what you get when you read in a hurry."
He walked back over the same spot on the wall and leaned his back.
"Learn this lesson, Hun. You will need it for your heroic journey." He slowly nodded.
"I-I see…!" Sweat jumped out from Hun's head, as the boy brought his hands behind his back and kept his mouth open. "Iiis… today is a nice day, isn't it?!" He grinned.
"A great day to play some Turf War matches…" Mike smiled, as he pushed his sunglasses more towards the inside. "… too bad the main one is still out of business."
"Bu-but they are solving everything, right?!" Hun kept his stomach, smiling nicely.
"'Solving'… that CEO is playing tricks. I swear." Mike frowned a bit. "She just announced that it would take another year to fully restructure the whole station…" He shook his head. "Only idiots would believe in such lie. I would say… how about we investigate the CEO directly, instead of letting her speak more lies?"
"Uhm… maybe there is a reason for that…?" Hun lowered his head, as he rose his eyebrows.
"A reason alright!" The man gritted slightly. "A reason related to the I.S.T.!"
"I. S. T…?" Hun opened his mouth a bit.
"… you don't know that?" Mike took off his sunglasses, as he just lowered his head and stared back at the young Inkling. "It can't be! It's such a famous name too!"
As the boy closed his mouth, he began mentally searching through all the memories he has… … as he squeezed his eyes.
"No… never heard of it!" Reopening his eyes back, he was still searching through his memories. "What is it?"
Mike sighed loudly…
"Inkopolis Security Team." He waved his sunglasses back and forth. "You know, the place where all Agents work…"
"Aaaah! I see!" Hun opened his smiling mouth. "I know what you are talking about!"
"Good, good." Mike wore his sunglasses, leaning his neck on the wall. "I bet she's talking with those Agents, thinking more ways to steal more money from our society."
"Didn't Mirii told me that this CEO is doing everything to prevent more Squids from being subjected to more Project Neo experiments…?" Hun took the opportunity to turn over his right and observing the lonely road. "… why she's not coming yet…?"
"Hey kid."
Hun twisted back forward, now observing Mike who was looking the other way.
"That smartphone ain't gonna return home, if you keep staying here." His thumb rose from the grasp, pointing backwards. "Give it a better look. You can't fool the twice."
"Ehm… I…" Sweat emerged once more, as Hun was now looking left and right, while trembling visibly. "… I-I think I saw the same sidewalk twice…"
"Not enough at all." Mike waved his thumb. "Give it a true twice."
"Bu-but…!" Hun's forefinger pulled his shirt, as sweat was descending from the top of his head. "Don't we…"
Suddenly, his ears rose. Twisting back to his right, he immediately saw a yellow car of small size speeding on the road. More precisely, he was seeing right behind the front car window: Mirii was grasping the steering wheel, as she kept her eyes glued on the road.
Hun smiled widely, as he couldn't hesitate sighing in relief!
"It's Mirii!" He stretched his arm high, waving it in front of the incoming car. "Heeeeyy!"
Mike let his sunglasses slid until its middle reached the tip of his nose, looking at the car as well.
"… wonder what she is doing here…"
The boy was now jumping, waving both his arms sideways.
"Miriiiii!" His smile widened too.
"Hun, she can't hear you from here." Mike pushed his sunglasses back. "Let her see you first."
The Inkling stopped, as he felt the urge to hide behind a wall… the car was now slowing down, as Mirii revealed a sincere smile and a quick nod. In just a few seconds, the yellow car approached the left side of the sidewalk… Hun was now facing the right car door, as he bended slightly and gained a better look over his friend.
The driver car door opened, as Mirii went off the car while making sure that she did so with elegance and finesse.
"Hunley… I was just looking for you." She kept her smile with ease, focusing entirely on her friend. "Please, follow me inside the car."
"Sure!" Hun nodded, as he instinctively brought his hand on the car door's handle. "Why?"
"That will be told during our scheduled route." The girl sniped a look over Mike, before looking back at Hun. "Now, enter inside the car."
The boy opened the door, as he rushed in without thinking. He closed back the car door in the same way.
"Did you warn the studios?" Mike was staring at Mirii, while his back was glued on the wall. "They were waiting for him."
"Everything has been prepared accordingly, Mr. Mike." The girl rose her head. "Have a nice day."
Mike's mouth let a chuckle escape, as he waved his hand at her.
"Take care."
The girl entered back inside the car, as she properly sit on the driver seat while mentally remembering the basic rules learned in the past. Her right hand firmly grabbed the car gear, moving it towards the bottom-right corner.
The car moved backwards for some feet, before turning to the left and starting its run from the same way it came. As the car was moving away from the structure's entrance, Mike was carefully observing the vehicle… before focusing on his surroundings.
"Uff… hope lunch comes earlier than usual: that toast surely wasn't enough…"
