"GAAAH!"

Mirii hugged her stomach, keeping her teeth tight and squeezing her eyes in a similar manner.

"MIRII!" Hun rushed over the girl, managing to stop in front of her and putting his hands on her shoulders. "Wh-what's wrong?!" He frowned.

The girl's left arm pushed the boy to the side, as she found the strength to open her eyes slightly and panting loudly.

"… the pain…" She yelped, closing her eyes back.

Her feet began stepping forward, as the woman was already standing up from the office chair: her hands were pressing on the counter, as words couldn't come out from her opened mouth. The woman was also trembling visibly, as her eyes were getting watery…

"Mirii!" Hun bended over the girl, as he waved his arms with strength. "Why are you not telling me"

"I'M FINE, HUNLEY!" Mirii growled, properly turning her face over him. "Enough with those questions!"

Hun's mouth sealed, as he clenched his fists.

"… thank you." She aimed back at the woman, letting her arms return on her sides. "Forgive me for"

Mirii gasped, as she observed the woman.

"A-are you… a-alright?!" The woman's mouth waved, bringing her hands down and keeping her tears inside. "Th-that was the scariest scream I-I ever heard…!"

"Forgive me for such scream." Mirii downturned her mouth, as she massaged her stomach. "… do you need assistance?" Her head rose.

"Sniff!" The woman drenched her right eye. "D-don't be silly… I'm the one who must provide assistance…!"

She smiled, calmly carrying her hands onto the counter.

"Please, tell me… what I can do for you?"

"This Inkling besides me has an appointment with the doctor." Mirii's hands pointed over Hun. "The doctor's name is Jade Inkapol."

"… let me check!" The woman sits back on her office chair, immediately tapping the keyboard's buttons and watching the computer monitor. "What's your name?" Her head looked over the boy, as her fingers stopped above the writing tool.

"Hun." He nodded, while smiling.

"… Hun Squidson." Mirii folded her arms.

"Your ticket number?" The woman turned her irises over Mirii.

The girl's arms unfolded, as she retrieved her smartphone and brought her thumb on its screen.

"Miss, excuse me for a moment."

Mirii turned her head to her right: an old Inkling man wearing glasses, a white coat and a stethoscope was looking directly at her. The girl's hand put her smartphone away.

"I have heard a scream coming from this direction." His eyes were squeezing slightly. "Do you happen to know who did that?"

"That would be me, sir." Mirii's head rose. "I had an attack of stomach ache… but the problem is now sol"

"Can I run a medical examination on you?" He held his stomach, as he waved his arms around.

"I have no time for that." The girl's head shook. "Besides, I said to"

"Miss, stomach aches cannot be cured on their own, right after the appearance of an attack." He took a step closer to the girl. "Also… this hospital just received several patients who had that same symptom you experienced earlier."

Mirii's eyes expanded.

"I'm one of the doctors in charge, actually." He nodded. "I was walking over the utility room, located to the other side of the complex."

"U-utility room?!" Her eyes blinked, as her mouth flattened.

"That's the place where we receive the results over the symptoms… and determine what to do, essentially." His right hand sunk inside his pocket, bringing a very thin monitor device. "Excuse me for a moment." He brought the item on his ear. "Yes?"

Mirii kept observing the old man. Hun walked closer to the girl, as the woman was leaning on the counter.

"… I see." The man nodded. "I'm in front of a young girl who might have the same symptoms."

"Mister, I must go." The girl frowned a bit. "My friend must attend a medical examination."

"Shouldn't we talk with that woman, first?" Hun turned his head over the girl.

"As usual, you are correct." Mirii pointed her smile over the boy. "I was about"

"Miss, you shouldn't ignore my suggestion." The man's hand grasped the smartphone tightly. "Those medical problems cannot be"

"If you excuse us, now." The girl turned behind and returned in front of the counter. "Were you asking for the ticket number, earlier?"

"Yes, I did…" The woman sighed, as she rose her eyebrows and slid her hands on the counter. "… you should consider a medical examination…"

"As I-GAAAAAH!" Instantly, Mirii hugged her stomach and gritted her teeth.

As she bended forward, her forehead was almost touching the counter's edge! The girl kept yelping and taking backwards steps. Hun grabbed her shoulders, as he frowned.

"MIRII! CALM DOWN!" His head turned over the old man. "HELP HER, PLEASE!"

The called Inkling rushed, as he pressed the smartphone on his ear.

"Call the others! Tell them"

"NO!"

Mirii's hand pressed on the man's stomach, stopping him on his feet. She was panting, as her left arm was still wrapped around her stomach.

"I… I don't need…" She let a growl escaping her mouth. "I don't need any cure…"

"You were inside Happy Squid Land, by any chance?!" The man lowered his smartphone, growling as well.

"WHAT?!" Mirii's eyes went bigger again.

"Answer me! This is important!" The man lifted his right foot, carrying it-

"Wait!" Hun walked in front of the man, as his eyebrows were up. "Forget about the answer! Help her immediately!"

"Hunley… I said no." Mirii lifted her posture, frowning a lot. "No… NO!" She swung her arms forward, almost hitting the boy. "You are the one… who needs the medical examination…"

"You need one as well!" Hun frowned too, as he turned behind. "Don't you see how the stomach ache keeps coming back?!"

"I'm fighting it back!" Mirii walked in front of the counter, snorting along the way. "Thus, enough with this stupidity!"

Her hands slammed on the counter, as the woman jumped and lifted her hands on her chest, looking at Mirii with a scared face.

"Do I have to give you the ticket number?!" Mirii gritted her teeth.

"Th-th-th-the software c-cannot work without it…!" The woman walked behind the office chair, as-

"Do not hide in front of me!" The girl picked her smartphone with her right hand, showing it in front of her. "The ticket number is right here! Be prepared"

"We must help her!" Hun pointed his forefinger at Mirii. "What can we do?!"

"HUNLEY!" She twisted back, as her irises shrunk and veins were popping out from her forehead.

The man had his smartphone on his ear, as he had the other hand covered inside his coat pocket.

"If she refuses to receive our help… there is nothing I can do…" He shook his head, as he sighed.

"Get back here, Hunley!" Mirii swung her right arm backwards. "Ignore that man!"

Hun's head lowered, as his face went darker…

"… whenever I need help… you are always on my side, ready to support me in every way you can…"

Mirii blushed a bit, as her mouth opened wide.

"… but when you are the one who needs help… you always refuse to let me support you…" His fists clenched.

Some sweat emerged from the girl's forehead.

"Wh-what are you saying…?!" Mirii's left hand grabbed her right elbow, as she slightly tilted backwards. "Yo-you have always helped me! C-countless times, even!"

"That's not the point, Mirii… you don't want my help, when I want to…" Hun rose his head, as the darkness faded away from his frowning face. "… do you think I'm not up for the task?!"

"Of course not, Hunley!" Mirii bended forward, as she frowned slightly and shook her head twice. "You proved to be an excellent Squid who is capable to achieve the hardest of all the feats!"

"You say that? Well then… allow me to do it again." He turned to his right, as he passed the old man on the side and walked-

"WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Mirii kept pointing her forefinger on the floor, as sweat was now conquering her whole face. "COME BACK HERE!"

"Ooooh no you don't!" Hun turned over the girl, as he pointed his forefinger at her. "You are going to receive my help, whenever you like it or not!"

Mirii lifted her posture, as her frown disappeared just as fast.

"Hun-Hunley… p-please…!" Her left hand gently rose, showing her hand palm at him. "… GAAAAH!" She bended forward, hugging her stomach. "GAAAAH!"

Hun rushed away, aiming over a hallway's entrance.

"DON'T WORRY! I WILL FIND A WAY TO HELP YOU!"

"That's not the way!" The old man began running after the boy. "You will waste your time for nothing!"

"Nooooo…!" The girl rose her head, frowning like mad. "You… yo-you fool…!" She panted. "… nnnngghh…"

The woman was slowly moving her hand over a telephone receiver, as her eyes were aiming at Mirii…

"… I don't understand…" Her eyes squeezed. "… wh-why this terrible pain came back?! Wh-what's its true nature?!"
