"Now that we settled the team…" Vira's left thumb pointed over the ink trail on the wall. "Shall we begin the mission?"
"Yes." Mirii's head rose. "Please, move on the front: I will follow you and monitor your status."
"Roger!" The woman smiled, as she jumped and dived inside the green ink and swam over the wall. "I knew you would get the hang of this!"
Mirii smiled, as she dived inside the green ink as well: little waves formed near her positon, as they proceeded towards the brick wall.
"I didn't really wanted to dedicate my time for such formalities…" Her eyes emerged from the ink. "But those preparations are crucial, if I truly wish to see Hunley once more."
"Vira calling Mirii!" The woman's voice came from the top of the wall. "There are three Stingrays on the road! What should I do?"
Mirii stopped herself on the wall, as she kept sliding in place.
"Did they tracked you?!" Her eyes 'frowned'.
"One of them did just now!"
"Throw a Splat Bomb at the incoming enemy!" She slid back down. "What would be the point to waste my energy on the wall?"
As the Squid descended all the way down, Mirii returned in her humanoid form and immediately looking around her surroundings: two Stinglings, located far away, were running towards the girl from her right side.
BOOM!
"He dodged it!" The female Agent shout.
"Vira, there are two more Stingrays coming towards us!" Mirii frowned, as her eyes looked at the device's screen. "Let's see if I can find reinforcements…"
Her thumb pressed on it, as several icons popped out: her eyes pointed right on a Squid image. She touched it, as the display was now showing several squares and smaller, magenta Squid icons spread around it. Two green, little Squid icons were emanating each one growing circle who gradually disappeared… in place for another growing one.
"Vira! Follow me!" Mirii dashed away from the two enemies. "There are Agents ahead!"
"Roger!" The woman chased after the girl, while running on the top of the brick wall.
She shot green ink projectiles, as she dived inside the newly formed stain and swam rapidly forward. Once near the end of the trail, she emerged in her humanoid form and shot more projectiles over the non-covered brick floor.
"Do you need some ink?!" Vira gave a quick look over the running girl, before returning inside her ink. "You will tire yourself faster, if you"
"I'm fine!" Mirii frowned. "Come here, Vira! There is nothing you can do against those three fools!"
The woman jumped out from the wall, landing near Mirii.
Call the Agents, Mirii!
The girl's eyes expanded.
"Aga?!" Her mouth opened wide, as her irises focused over her right ear.
"Who?!" Vira looked at the girl, while shooting ink projectiles over-
"Don't shoot just yet!" Mirii frowned.
Tap on the general area where the Agents are: the longer your finger presses on the desired location, the wider your communication area becomes… so you can talk with more Agents at once! If you hear a beeping sound, that means you can talk with the selected Agents. Once you hear the sound, press back on any point of the screen and hold it down to start talking: raise back your finger, when you are done talking.
"… understood!" Mirii's thumb pressed on the magenta Squid group, holding it down for some seconds.
A circle was growing from her pressing thumb…
Beep!
Mirii pressed on the screen again, keeping her thumb on it.
"Attention, main team: this is Mirii speaking!" She bended forward, while releasing a loud pant. "I'm the former Supportive Agent for the recently-formed secondary one." She twisted behind, seeing the two Stinglings gradually distancing themselves despite their run. "I request your presence: two Stingrays are chasing us, while three more of them are located behind the brick wall!"
She panted loudly.
"Pass the corner and reach us!" Her thumb rose from the screen.
In less than a few seconds, three Agents popped out from the left corner in the distance and began shooting magenta ink projectiles in their paths. The two Stinglings slid into a stop, shouting words. Mirii stopped, turning behind and observing her enemies retreating back to where they came from: she smiled.
"Lower your weapons!" The man leading the two Agents did just that.
Mirii, try finding an entrance and enter inside the building! Quick!
The girl looked left and right direction, until she noticed a semi-opened multidoor, situated past a thin road of stone tiles, on her left side.
"Vira!" Mirii sprinted towards the door. "Let's go!"
"I heard that too!" The woman followed Mirii, leaving behind the passing Agents. "She's speaking through my earpieces as well!"
"I thought no Supportive Agent was available!" Her eyes squeezed a bit. "What kind of trickery I'm witnessing this time…?"
Her left hand pushed the left side of the multidoor, watching a hallway with doors on each wall and lit fluorescent bulbs on the ceiling. A knocked-out vase fell in the middle of the floor, spreading its soil and its plant's leafs all around it. She entered inside, followed by the woman.
Find a room and close yourself inside it.
"Shall we enter there?" Vira pointed over the first opened door to the right side.
"You have to inspect it first." Mirii's head rose. "There might be Stingrays hiding inside…"
"I wanted to do just that, actually!" She chuckled, cocking her weapon and proceeding carefully over the pointed room. "Glad to know that you do not always risk yourself…"
"Check the room carefully." Mirii's arms folded. "I do not tolerate distractions."
I knew it… once you are in charge, you really love dictating the others.
Mirii's eyes closed.
"You better prepare your speech, Aga…" She snorted. "Because your presence must be properly explained and proved."
… Stella, mommy can't watch the cartoons with you. Why don't you call daddy now, hmm?
"… I remember she mentioned some sort of plan, when she was talking with her husband…" Mirii's head rose. "It would be interesting to know"
Mirii, is the Agent done with her check?
The girl glimpsed through the door-shaped hole, observing Vira ducking herself down and watching below a medical bed.
"Not yet, it seems." The girl took one step over the door. "I wouldn't mind checking myself, if I have a weapon in my hands. Although..." Her eyes squeezed a bit. "Why don't you ask that question over the direct interested, since you can also communicate with Vira?"
I will explain everything, once you are inside a room and together with the Agent you are currently supporting.
"... hmpf." She frowned slightly.
Do you see any Stingrays around?
"No." Mirii's irises went to her right. "However, I must find a way to localize Hunley..."
He's also inside the hospital?
"He was splatted by the Stingrays..." Her head shook. "... I found him outside, sliding over a particular direction. I do not know his current goals, though."
Uff... at least he's strong enough to not let himself be captured by them.
A sweat grew on Mirii's right side of her head, as she was mentally seeing images of her standing inside Urchin Underpass, together with Bars.
"Room successfully inspected!" Vira walked over the door edge, leaning on its left side with her shoulder and smiling. "We can stay here now."
"Very well." Mirii walked towards the room. "Now start explaining, Aga."
Alright. I will try to be brief though, since you are on a mission and the enemies might reach you in any seconds.
"With all those enemies around, how am I going to proceed…?" The girl pushed the door back, watching Vira sitting on a chair situated near the medical bed's left side.
Basically, I'm here as Mirii's teacher. Once I saw the request through the HQ's website, I immediately applied myself for the job… Supportive Agent teachers can only supervise the student, teach the various functions of the Supportive Set and submit a judgment. A teacher is allowed to interact with the normal Agents of a team, in case the Supportive Agent is not supporting them that much at all… or when the normal Agents are unaware of the Supportive Agent teacher's role.
"How come they submitted such request…?" Her eyes squeezed slightly.
Mirii, this is your first time covering the role of Supportive Agent. The HQ ordered that first-time Supportive Agents must have teachers who can guide them for at least one mission… once the mission ends, the teacher must submit their judgement on the Supportive Agent's performance to the HQ, which determines if said Agent needs further training for the role or not.
"If I truly succeed in the task…" She gave a quick look around the room. "… will I earn a certificate for said role?"
The only reward you will earn is the priority of applying yourself as a Temporary Supportive Agent, during the missions where it's not possible to communicate with the ones located in the HQ.
"… tsk…" She frowned slightly. "I don't mind being a student…"
Good to hear. Knowing you, I was afraid you wouldn't accept
"I'm known as a fast learner who's capable of understanding the complexity of technology and its overall functionality." Her eyes closed for a moment. "That also includes self-learning." Her head rose. "It's a natural talent I cultivated since I was younger."
"That's a nice skill to have!" Vira lifted her posture, smiling. "Wish I had that, when I was around your age…!"
"It's never too late to learn something new." She took some steps over the medical bed, while looking over the woman. "No one shall allow any remorse dictate their own future…"
"Ha ha!" The woman nodded. "The brainy of the bunch is also wise…"
"I would call it 'being rational'." Mirii caressed her tentacle with her free hand.
Alright, this is mostly all I had to say on the matter. Now I will talk exclusively to Mirii and let her know everything there is to be said about the set she's holding right now…
The girl brought the device in front of her face.
… and now that the other Agent doesn't hear me, I can finally reveal my cards.
"… as I suspected…" Mirii's irises went each to their related eye's right corner.
