Mirii was walking towards her friends, looking at Vira finishing her snack. The woman's left hand grabbed another Cheesy Chip Stick, this time she brought it in front of the boy next to her.
"Wanna eat?" She giggled a bit.
"I don't know…" His hands went each inside one of his pants' pockets. "Shouldn't we get ready for any incoming Stingray?"
Mirii's mouth downturned.
"Hunley… are you hungry?"
"Ehm…" His right hand went behind his neck, as he smiled and closed his eyes. "… a bit."
"Then, you must eat that snack." The girl nodded.
"Eh?!" He showed his hand palms, as his opened eyes expanded. "Bu-but we"
"Vira is done with her snack." Her head turned over the Agent. "She will now guard our position, while you consume the meal."
"Ha ha!" The woman grabbed her weapon with her right hand. "To think we are even in enemy territory…!"
"Hunley ran a medical examination, earlier…" Mirii frowned, snorting loudly. "Not to mention, he fights under his"
"No no, I wasn't complaining about your decision." Vira lowered her wrapped snack. "In fact, we should all keep our stomachs calm before fighting those Stingrays off." She sighed. "Dealing with hunger is just not that easy… I know that from experience."
"I agree." Mirii's forefinger pointed over Hun. "Now, deliver the snack and start the surveillance operation."
"Don't you want to eat the snack, instead?" Hun lowered his shoulders, as his eyebrows went up. "I can"
"I already did." The girl smiled, looking over him. "Thank you for the consideration." She blushed.
Hun smiled, blushing a bit. Vira handed down the snack over his right hand, as both her hands grasped her weapon and pointed it upwards.
"Take your time!" The woman proceeded forward, passing the girl and keeping an eye over the darkness. "Thankfully, there aren't any Stinkrays around…"
"… uhm…" The boy twisted the product around, watching its drawing and corners. "Do I have to… strap it from above?"
Mirii's lips entered inside her mouth…
"H-he knows exactly what to do…! H-he doesn't need my indications…" She kept her breath for a moment. "He's a smart Squid… it-it's obvious!"
"Uhm…" He brought the wrapper in front of his face, as his eyes squeezed slightly and pointed over a text. "… ah! Tear here!" He smiled.
Mirii let out a loud sigh, smiling as well. His fingers held onto the right side, tearing the wrapper down and revealing-
"AH!" He threw the product up, raising his hands.
"Curses!" Mirii's head tilted upwards, watching the stick flipping itself.
She ran after it, almost hitting the carpet's edge, as her arms thrusted in the direction of the flying food. She jumped, catching it in midair and immediately carrying it in front of her face: a grey matter was sticking out from the wrapper, presenting stretching bubbles and little wavy cords popping out from it.
"WH-WHAT AM I SEEING?!" Her eyes expanded, her irises shrunk and her face turned slightly green.
"What's going on?!" Vira arrived behind the girl, tilting left and right and lowering her weapon down. "Why are you"
Smoke came out from Mirii's ears… as she twisted 180° and brought the 'meal' near the woman's eyes.
"Yyyyoooouuuuu…" Veins popped out from Mirii's forehead, as she kept frowning more and more…
"Wh-what's that nasty thing?!" Vira jumped backwards, as her mouth lowered. "How did it turned into that?!"
The girl's fist grasped the food, deforming it slightly.
"You… you were attempting to poison Hunley…!" She growled, showing her teeth.
"N-no!" The Agent's hands shook, same for her head. "I-I didn't knew"
"YOU MADE ME EAT THAT PILE OF RUBBISH, YOU IDIOT!" The young lady threw the food down.
"Wh-what?!" Sweat covered Vira's face.
Mirii, what's happening?!
The girl snorted, clenching her fists.
"Vira offered virulent food to Hunley… her snacks are complete mutations!" Her arms folded. "Unfortunately, I ate one of her snacks… although, its appearance wasn't in complete decadence"
"W-wait!" Vira shook, as she kept waving her hands back and forth. "It-it can't"
"Silence." Her head rose. "I'm talking with Aga."
"M-Mirii, be reasonable!" The woman was now waving her arms around. "Do you"
"I said SILENCE!" Mirii frowned. "One more word from your filthy mouth and I will punish you!"
Vira groaned, as more sweat was descending from her forehead… she turned behind, lifting her weapon in front of her chest.
"Mirii…" Hun walked closer to the girl, as he sighed. "I'm sure it wasn't her fault… don't be mad at"
"This is an unforgivable act." Her head shook. "She was threatening your own life, Hunley… if the food wasn't decomposed, you would had swallowed it normally."
Were you saying, Mirii?
"Hmpf!" The girl's eyes closed for a moment. "… Aga, I ate one of those snacks whose appearance was completely different from the one received by Hunley."
Her head lowered, staring at the semi-flattened undeterminable food pouring from the wrapper.
"Perhaps the meal I consumed wasn't as deformed as the current one…" She took a quick look over the woman, grimacing. "… but that still doesn't"
"Ha ha ha ha ha!"
Mirii's head tilted upwards, watching the ceiling and shrinking her irises.
"A great joke, it was! Valuable food, you wasted!" Stingret's voice was coming from all directions.
"A joke?!" Vira frowned, looking upwards as well. "What are you talking about?!"
"Deformed product, it was not. My formidable power, I used. The little snack into danger, I turned." The Stingling laughed some more.
"It-it was edible?!" Mirii looked back down.
A semi-flattened cheese stick was placed on the floor. Her jaw dropped.
"Curses!" Mirii's hands grabbed each one of her tentacles. "Hunley needed to eat one!"
"Not allowed to eat, you are. Being prisoners, it's your destiny! …" She mumbled something. "… garbage! Yes! Garbage, you pronounce! Only garbage, you will see… all the snacks, I replaced!"
Mirii's head lowered.
"… you decided to turn all the snacks into rubbish..." Her hands let her tentacles go. "… am I correct?"
"You are, yes!" The Stingray chuckled.
"What a piece of ship!" Vira stomped the floor, while shaking her fist in the air. "Wait 'till I get my hands on you! You will be sent over another planet!"
"That would not be necessary, Vira." Mirii's head rose back to neutral position.
"Uh?!" The woman looked over the girl, keeping her mouth a bit open.
Mirii folded her arms… snorting.
"This buffoonish clown must be arrested, just like any other Stingrays we see…" Her head rose. "Although, I will make sure that the illiterate will be thrown inside an isolated room, where she will experience hunger for some days."
"Illiterate?! Buffoonish clown?! Over my face, you say that… dwarf!" She snorted.
Mirii gasped loudly. Veins popped out from her forehead.
"Now my patience ran out!" Mirii gave a rapid over Vira. "Vira!" Now she looks over Hun. "Hunley! We must begin our mission now! NOW I SAY!" She pointed over the ceiling. "This ignorant deserves a punishment so humongous, she will remember it even in her dreams!"
"Ignorant too?!" Stingret growled.
"You are not ordering us to rush through everything, right?!" Vira rose her eyebrows, as she faced the carpet and the darkness-filled horizon.
"Me? Rushing?" Mirii's head rose, retreating her finger and aiming the tip of her shoulder at the woman. "Nonsense! There is only one element I always demand to my allies... focus." Her eyes closed. "I know that Hunley can greatly keep his focus in any mission… I have yet to fully verify your ability to focus, Vira." Her eyes reopened. "I hope you will not disappoint us."
"When did I disappointed you, 'brainy'?" She showed her left fist, as her right hand lowered her weapon and her head turned to her right side, while her mouth smiled. "Come on! Shouldn't I deserve some trust after all that journey?"
"Walk and be careful." Mirii nodded. "Hunley, remain near me…"
"I was already thinking to do that!" Hun turned into a Squid. "You don't have a weapon with you…"
"Yo-you were already thinking that?!" The girl twisted over the boy, blushing a lot.
Vira giggled, as she began walking forward and pointing her firearm in the same direction.
"How cute!"
The Squid blushed, while sliding towards the female Agent but keeping a moderate speed. Mirii cleared her voice, as she turned into a Squid and jumped inside the ink trail left by Hun.
"Stupid Squids, you are. My realm, this is! Focus you put, no matter how much. Too limited to defeat my tricks, your intelligence is."
"Aaaaah, shut up!" Vira frowned, while looking over the ceiling. "Your speech is literally splatting all my brain cells!"
"Vira!" Mirii's voice came from the two waves following Hun. "Don't you dare disappoint us! Focus! No more complains from you!"
Vira rolled her irises, as she groaned…
I have a quick update: it's been confirmed that no Stingray is near or inside the hospital's many areas. Also, the Agents are planning something… I will let you know more about it, once I gather some more info regarding such plan.
"Understood!" Mirii's eyes emerged from the ink. "I wonder if their plan is related to the Stingrays' vessel…"
"Dasquid?!"
Vira jumped backwards, as her mouth opened wide. Hun stopped, watching the woman's feet almost stomping his head.
"Yikes!" His eyes expanded.
"What were you thinking, incompetent?!" Mirii returned into her humanoid form, frowning at the woman. "You were almost"
"Look!" Vira aimed her weapon downwards. "Complete madness!"
The girl's irises lowered… noticing a large hole ahead! A moving, yet distant grass was seen below the gap. Mirii's lips stretched.
