"Back you stay!" Scarlet shot goo projectiles from her freshly-acquired weapon. "I pass first, right?"

"Exactly." Mirii nodded, observing her friend covering her previous work. "How am I going to claim the floor with Scarlet on my side...? Despite the fact that there aren't many Stingrays left, it would still be intelligent to prepare myself for any incoming predicaments..."

"Sorry, sorry!" The woman was standing behind the wall, next to the opened door, tilting over her right side and watching her friend.

Her eyebrows were up, her hardware was silent and her mouth downturned.

"Why are you asking for forgiveness?" The girl neared, lowering her weapon down and raising her head.

"Let out all my life..." The woman retreated her posture. "... and made you cry."

"I don't see any mistake in such event." The lady's eyebrows also rose, as her feet were now waiting close to the door. "There is never a mistake when you expose the truth..."

"Bu-but friends do not make cries on each other..." A sigh was heard from the outside of the room.

"I-I couldn't possibly stay neutral in front of such... d-disgrace!" Mirii took some more steps, saddening her face. "Yo-you proved to be a kind Stingray, Scarlet... kind people don't deserve such experience." Her eyes closed. "In fact, they deserve true friends..."

Scarlet walked in front of the door, this time smiling widely.

"Best friend forever!"

Mirii chuckled, reopening her eyes.

"Thank you!" She nodded, keeping her smile. "Now, proceed with the operation." A sweat drop appeared on her head's left side. "I really need to reach the restroom..."

"I almost made me path!" The woman resumed her work, properly aiming towards her left side. "Come!"

The girl took two more steps, as she was now staring at a line of goo who was stretching in between two floor areas covered in green ink. Mirii jumped, passing the goo trail and landing on the ink with her feet. She advanced by foot, staring at Scarlet who was positioned at the end of the goo trail: the clean floor was standing in front of her.

"Bath is right there!" The woman pointed her weapon over the wall to the right side.

Her eyes expanded, immediately lowering her weapon. Mirii snorted, as her head rose.

"Your decision was predictable, Stingret." Her eyes squeezed slightly. "Allow me to prove, once more, the stupidity that plagues in your mind."

"Go, go!" Scarlet threw her left fist in the air, multiple times, while smiling. "You best Squid! You far superior than Stingret!"

Mirii smiled, as she passed her friend and walked over the pointed spot on the wall. Scarlet's forefinger targeted the spot back with her firearm.

"Hmpf!" She arrived in front of the wall, as her free hand went on it. "Just the mere application of the obvious..." Her free hand's palm began tapping on various parts of the wall. "... I wonder how this altering technology works exactly. Does Scarlet know something related to it...? Perhaps I should ask her about it, once I have proved my superiority over the fool."

The girl was moving over her left side, feeling the dust who was dominating on the wall. Suddenly, her hand completely dipped inside the dam without leaving any signs. She smiled.

"You did it!" As Scarlet brought her weapon in between her legs, her hands clapped while keeping her eyes closed.

"Of course I would." Mirii's eyes also closed, as her touching hand was tapping onto a metallic surface. "Now, for the handle…"

The woman recovered her weapon, stepping towards the girl.

"There is story to trick." She rose her head over the ceiling, twisting on the left side. "Cameras who watch us, they are hidden too. They send rays to walls and others. Change appearances and lasts until Stingret nullifies it."

"... I was wondering how this whole technology works." Mirii turned over the woman, raising her head but still looking at her friend with her irises. "Do you happen to know how we can prevent her from altering everything she manages to see?"

"No way." Scarlet downturned her mouth, staring back at the Inkling and stopping in front of her. "Only she can stop it."

"Drat!" Mirii grimaced, folding her arms tightly. "Can she modify many elements"

"Wanted to say that no cameras exist inside bath. Intimacy is allowed inside our vessel." Her mouth expressed friendliness. "You can satisfy need and no worries!"

"Good." She sighed silently, ending the action with a smile. "I'm about to burst... quick! Open the door!" Sweat reappeared on her forehead, as she faced the fake part of the wall.

Her hand dived into it, touching the iron exterior and imagining a door handle's position. Finally, her hand's left side impacted over an object.

"Found it!" She smiled, grabbing the handle and pushing it down.

Instinctively, her hand thrusted the covered door and proceeded along with it, completely immerging inside the wall. The first elements in sight were a mirror on the left side of the dam, above a clean bathroom sink. A semi-opened door was standing on the front, followed by a round carpet on the floor. Another door was positioned on the right, while two chairs with two arms each were leaning on the right side of the vertical surface.

"I will be quick!" Mirii dashed towards the door to the left.

"And I will wait!" Scarlet chuckled, as she also entered inside the bathroom.

The girl passed the door, closing it as soon as she was behind it. The woman kept walking, until her head casually looked at the mirror. Her mouth opened a bit, as her mind was forgetting the sink and the various surroundings: her eyes were transmitting the image of herself, under her own disguise as an Inkling. She pulled herself, almost sliding on her shoes. Her hands went on the sink's edges and her mouth found the strength to open just a bit more...

"... wow..." A smile grew on her lips. "I look... beautiful!"

Her eyes sparkled, as she started to inspect her clothing and shape... she even flipped herself around, noticing her sides and arms. Her tentacles kept swinging all around, passing through every solid objects.

"The tentacles... so fresh!" She giggled, as her eyes closed. "My face... pretty!" She giggled even more.

Her hands went near her chest, as her eyes shut and her back bended forward.

"Is this... my Squid version?!" Her eyelids opened only in a half. "Squids look so better..."

"Knew I... One of us, you are not."

She frowned, looking over the top area and expanding her own eyes properly.

"I'm a Stingray!" She showed her Squid teeth. "But I don't mind having Squid version of me too!"

...

"Face it! Squids look better than us!" She puffed her cheeks.

The door opened, revealing Mirii with a smile on her face.

"We can now look for the hall, Scarlet." She directed her head over her acquaintance.

"Sure!" The woman nodded at the girl, smiling as well. "Do I look cute as a Squid?"

"That's not you." Mirii's eyebrows lowered slightly. "Stingret utilized the appearance of an Agent, in order to disguise"

"Based on others, she is not."

...

"That cannot be!" Mirii frowned, looking at the ceiling. "How can you determine the appearance of a Squid?!"

"Your business, none of. On deserter, a different type of illusion I applied. Experimental rays, I used... more changes, she will experience."

...

Mirii's face went paler, as her mouth flattened and her irises shrunk.

"Wh-what kind of nonsense are you..." She sighted her ally, as a weight stood in her throat. "Scarlet! How do you feel?!"

"Fine..." The woman rose her mouth. "... just the feeling of something on my head."

Mirii inhaled the air loudly... as she approached the woman and put her weapon on the sink's edge.

"What do you feel, exactly?" Her head rose.

The woman shrugged.

"Might be impression..."

The girl frowned, as her hands went each on one side of Scarlet's head: her fingers grabbed something soft, as her mouth gasped. Scarlet jumped backwards, as the young Inklings' hands slipped. The woman brought her firearm on the sink's edge too, as she touched the sides of her head, pulling one short tentacle from each side and observing them through the mirror.

"AAAAH!" Her hands squeezed her own tentacles. "REAL TENTACLES!"

"N-no...!" Mirii curled a bit on herself, as her face was completely white.

"Ha ha ha ha haaaaaa! Working, the experiment is! Fearing, those scientists are, those super powers the rays aren't giving you, hopefully..."

"What did you just said, ignorant?!" A vein popped out from Mirii's forehead, as she observed the ceiling again.

"Stingray scientists are responsible for technology!" Sweat covered Scarlet's face. "I didn't know about this experiment!"

"Unknown, effects are... to say this, I was trying. Super powers, she might get... or nothing... or into ink, she might explode. For the latter, I'm cheering! Ha ha haaaa!"

"Disgusting!" Mirii's right foot stomped. "Your disgusting behavior doesn't know any boundaries!"

"Agree!" Scarlet scowled, now glancing at the ceiling. "You are mean, Stingret!"

"There is no time to waste!" Mirii appropriated her hardware, carrying closer to her chest. "We must stop this madness!"

"Sure!" The woman nodded, clutching her own weapon in less than a second.

The girl sprinted past the woman, exiting the bathroom and heading to the right side. Scarlet followed right after, keeping a similar pace.

"Tell me the location of the nearest keycard!" Mirii's head turned over her right side.

"Don't we go to hall, first?" The transforming Stingray's eyebrows went up, as she panted.

"You might explode, if we let those experimental rays manipulate yourself!" The girl gritted her teeth. "Hunley is a capable fighter... he will defend himself and my friend Vira from any Stingrays who dares to attack them!"

"Are you sure about this...?" Scarlet sighed. "Your friends need you?"

Mirii's head returned forward, lowering slightly.

"... last time I heard of them, they were fighting Stingrays... but I trust in Hunley's fighting skills!" She rose her head back to neutral position, as her eyebrows went down. "He always managed to dominate any battles in the past... even when he was weakened by his enemies!"

"Good to hear!" The woman smiled. "You and your friends are strong and kind… I will always be in debt you!"

"Now, Scarlet... focus!" Mirii frowned slightly. "Reveal the nearest keycard location we can reach."
