So there we have the reveal. Here's a long chapter. Look I'm actually getting good at this update thing.

Chapter 99 – Pure.

Garrett put his feet up on the table, Varric, Isabela and Merrill had gotten back safely a few weeks ago. He was reading Makatza's daily letter. It was a few days old, bird was faster than ship though.

Garrett,

Hey, things are going so amazingly well. I've never been happier. I miss you and Izzy and the gang though. But, guess what? We have a date! Better get your arse on Izzy's ship big brother! You're not missing this wedding. Oh! I've also sent some clothing over, it should arrive soon. It's for Aveline, Merrill and Izzy. They're going to be bridesmaids :)

Garrett had to laugh at the silly little face that she had drawn, it had taken him a few letters for him to understand what these silly faces meant, but he had gotten used to them. So they had picked a date? Good, it was about time. He had suggested the idea to his seafaring other half but she just laughed and distracted him in the only way she knew. A pang of sadness hit him as he realised that his mother was going to miss the wedding, but he shoved that under the rug, metaphorically. He sipped his beer and ignored the commotion that was going around him, the Hanged man busy as usual.

I've asked Kiana to be my maid of honour, I would have asked mother.. but I know she'll be there in spirit. Kiana hit the roof and nearly deafened me with her screams. Alistair and Fenris came running in from the garden when they heard. They thought we were being attacked XD It was hilarious. Kiana and I couldn't stop giggling. The twins are absolutely adorable. I can't wait for you to see them, it's making me all broody. Fenris' face when he's asked to hold one though! It looks like he's ready for the little one to explode.

I'm starting to ramble, ignore me. But, anyway, the point of this letter is to give you your invitation. Find it in the envelope, it's got the date and whereabouts. You don't worry about having to find anywhere to stay. Kiana said that you can stay with her in the castle. Just get Izzy to promise to keep her fingers to herself yeah?

Okay, well. Get ready for the wedding! You're actually going to walk me down the aisle this time! Also brace yourself!

Love,

Makatza xoxoxoxox

He smiled to himself but tilted his head. Brace himself for what? The wedding? Or the journey over? Either way he was sure it was going to be fine. He looked at the invitation underneath the letter. She had invited Orana and Bohdan as well, Sandal included. She even invited Varania. He shook his head, she had gotten very excited it seemed. The wedding was three weeks away, enough time for him to find a decent outfit and attempt to find a gift.

Varric wandered past and sat at the table. 'Oi, Champion, there's another letter for you here,' he says waving it about.

'Hmm?' Garrett says looking over, 'well who is it from?' He asks curiously. Varric grins and simply passes it over. Garrett looks at the handwriting. 'Oh, it's from Fenris. You can tell because even though he only just started writing, he has the best handwriting out of all of us,' he chuckles. There was just his name on the envelope, written in a beautiful cursive that Fenris had picked up from Makatza. 'Hmm, doesn't feel like a letter, it's more like a card,' Garrett says as he opens it. He pulls out the single piece of card and his jaw drops.

'What's the matter?' Varric asks looking at his friend.

Garrett smiles and nods. 'Fenris all over that is,' he says softly as he turns the card. It simply has two words on it:

Best man.

'Well blow me Andraste's garter,' Varric chuckles as he takes the card. 'Well, I couldn't think of anyone else more qualified than you Hawke,' he smiles. 'Broody sure has a way of getting to the point though. Nice and simple, unlike Makatza who rambles on for hours before getting to her point.' He says as he picks up his pint. Garrett smiles broadly and turns as he hears Isabela walk in, he gets up and excitedly shows her the card and tells her she's to be a bridesmaid. Varric laughs as he watches the pirate get far too excited and jump on her lover. 'My cue to leave,' Varric grins as he sneaks away with his pint.

...*...

'Well, everything feels healthy and you're both progressing well. It'll be another month, maybe six weeks before you begin to show though,' the mage says smiling. Makatza looks at Fenris who although in the presence of a mage seemed happy enough. Kiana stood in the corner but couldn't keep quiet any longer.

'See, everything is fine Fenris, you worry too much!' She scolds and thanks the mage who leaves politely. Makatza giggles and rearranges her top and tries to hop off the side, but with a glare from Fenris, she gently slides off.

'Makatza fell over, trying to pick up something she should not have been,' Fenris clarifies. Makatza giggles and blushes in embarrassment. 'She got impatient and that will teach her.' He says looking at her, indeed it had been a few stressful hours, he had found her on the floor, a pile of boxes strewn over the floor, the crash had made him come running in from outside. She moaned in pain and complained of a bruise like cramp under her ribs.

'I'm sorry, I was just trying to tidy up,' she said quietly. 'But, I'm fine, you can't wrap me up in cotton wool,' she says pulling a face. Fenris looks at her and raises a brow, making her feel incredibly guilty. He was just worried and having an impulsive, clumsy woman like Makatza was not helping matters. Kiana thankfully stepped in.

'How about I talk to Katza, mother to, well to be mother, huh?' She says grinning. Fenris nods and goes back into the garden to continue what he was doing. Kiana sighs heavily and leads a teary Katza upstairs onto the bed. She smiles as she sees the personal touches that Makatza had placed on the cottage. A dragon statue sat on the dresser, along with an empty bottle of whisky. Makatza's daggers were hanging on a wall, crossing each other. Her bow on a stand underneath it. Fenris' armour was inside a case, hers next to his. 'It's lovely what you've done with this home,' she says smiling, changing the subject slightly. 'Where's Fenris' sword?' She asks.

Makatza sniffs and sighs. 'He wouldn't let me put it up, it's under the bench seat near the front door, hidden out of sight but close to hand. I suppose in a few years I'll try and get him to let me put it somewhere safe.' She smiles and looks at her. 'Did I do something really stupid?' She asks quietly.

'Oh darling, no, of course not. Fenris is going to be very protective, he's a first time father. He's going to be stressing out about you and the baby. You should have seen Alistair,' she laughs. 'Just be firm, but compromising. Continue on with your daily life but if he thinks that you can't lift anything, then make him do it all. He'll soon realise that you're not that helpless,' she grins. 'I mean I was running around with the Wardens remember?' Kiana snorts. Makatza grins lightly. She remembered, only too well.

'I haven't told anyone else, I want to keep it a surprise for the wedding' Makatza says smiling. 'It's not far off so I shouldn't be too obvious.' She adds.

'Oh speaking of which, your dress is finally done. To your drawing. And Katza, it's absolutely wonderful. I've never seen anything like it. I think he'll love it,' she says smiling. 'I also love my dress,' she says as an afterthought.

'Well, everyone's dress is the same colour, but different styles, though yours is probably the most revealing,' she giggles. 'Sorry about that,' she had designed Kiana's dress to suit a sixties rockabilly. The others were similar but had personal touches.

'I love it, it makes me feel like I'm twenty again and I can forget about being a Queen for a day,' Kiana says honestly. 'It's going to be amazing. And I found out that were you want it to take place is owned by a local farmer, but I already spoke to him and he's only too happy to let Royalty have it for an afternoon,' she laughs. 'It didn't take much convincing. He almost had a heart attack when his King turned up at his door.' Makatza laughed at her telling of the story.

'Well, as long as he's okay with it,' she says smiling. Kiana nodded and they settled down talking about the wedding and future names for children, that would be a hard decision.

...*...

'TODAY IS THE DAY!' Kiana screamed as she ran into Katza's room. They had decided that Makatza would spend the night at the palace, so no-one would see her dress apart from the Queen. The bridesmaids were all at the house, along with Garrett and Fenris getting ready.

'It's too early Kiki,' Makatza moaned pulling her head underneath the quilt. 'It's traditional for the bride to get some beauty sleep,' she mumbled curling up into a ball. Kiana laughed and pulled the drapes wide. Sun streamed into the room making her moan even more.

'It's traditional for a bride to arrive on time!' She retorted pulling the quilt. Makatza resisted but eventually had it torn from her hands. 'Come on. Up, up, up!' Kiana said slapping Makatza's cotton covered rump, who squealed and sat up rubbing her eyes.

'What time is it?' She yawned groggily blinking around.

'About ten, I let you sleep in a bit,' Kiana said carrying in the dress and putting it on it's stand. 'You're going to look wonderful. But up, you need to get washed, shaved and awake!' She bounces happily in her own nightgown. She tilts her head looking at a very sleepy Makatza, then she reaches over, grabs the jug of cold water that was supposed to be for drinking and instead threw the contents over her.

'Fucking hell that's cold!' Makatza swore after a brief scream. Kiana laughed holding her stomach and put down the jug as Katza gave her cold, wet evils.

'Get up, get ready! You've got a big day ahead of you and we've got about six hours to get you ready!' She says clapping her hands, he held out a hand to help Makatza out of bed.

'You're ruthless you know that don't you,' Makatza said soggily. Grumpily.

'Gotta be to run a kingdom! Plus two sets of feet that will no doubt destroy the place once they learn how to walk,' she grinned. 'Yah! Get going!' She shepherded her into the bathroom and shut the door firmly.

...*...

'Merrill hurry up!' Isabela said, 'or I'm coming in to join you, it's easier that way!' She says as she barges her way in ignoring the screams from the elf. Garrett laughed and shook his head. They certainly had a full house this morning. Fenris hadn't been seen though, he could hear him swearing as he tried to figure out the complicated outfit Kiana had given him. He had also heard Elgon barking back to him, so it seemed like he had a little help. He wandered downstairs half dressed.

'Morning Aveline, Donnic, Varric, Orana, Bohdan-' A blur ran past him chasing a chicken through the house, 'Sandal,' he finishes with a chuckle. They were all seated around the large table in the kitchen. Orana being her usual self and helping everyone to get ready and was currently making tea. 'Where's Varania?' He asked, they had all been brought from the castle early this morning so that Makatza could get ready in secret.

'She's feeding the goats and helping some of the servants to get the place we're going ready,' Donnic replied. Aveline smiled and tweaked his collar. All the men were in waistcoats and shirts, it was going to be a warm day. There was a large bang from upstairs and Garrett winced.

'Sounds like the best man is needed upstairs, lest we lose the groom,' Varric chuckles, Hawke gets the hint and nods, making his way back up the stairs, ignoring the giggles coming from the bathroom. He simply rolled his eyes and knocked on Fenris' door.

'Hey, are you alright in there?' He asks simply. He hears his friend walk over and pull open the door, Fenris appeared looking rather dishevelled. He blows his fringe out the way and sighs.

'It is not going well,' he says simply letting Hawke in. 'The Queen is insisting I wear something that I cannot figure out. I feel like a peacock.' He says motioning the mass of clothing that was strewn on the bed. Garrett raised a brow, it looked like a very dressy outfit. Nothing that Fenris would actually wear.

'So this is something that Kiana insisted that you wear, not Katza?' He asks, he watches Fenris nod. 'Hmm, well this shirt is nice and the coat, oh also the waistcoat. But everything else seems like it's too much. I mean, do you need this?' He asks lifting up a bit of material. 'What is this?' He asks. Fenris shrugs a shoulder. He had no idea, his markings were complaining at him and he was hot and bothered. Garrett looked at the clothing and grinned. 'Whoops, I lost control for a moment there,' he says as the piece of cloth bursts into flame. Fenris chuckles and shakes his head at Hawke's inappropriate use of magic. Garrett looks through the rest and shakes his head. 'Well this can go, and this, this can definitely go,' he said simply. He piled it up and whistled for Bubble. The Mabari raced up and looked at his master. 'Good boy, now grab this and bury it somewhere before I set it alight and burn down the cottage,' he smiles.

'Hawke, I do not think-'

'Ah!' Garrett said hushing him. 'You want to look good right?' Fenris simply nodded. 'Then dressing like a lord at court isn't going to do that. If I know Makatza and I think I do, then you could turn up nake- No, Isabela is going. That's not going to work. Look, you could just be you, covered in blood and dragon slime and she'd still want to marry you. So let's get you dressed in clothing we recognise and worry about the Queen's reaction later,' he smiles. He picks up the shirt and waistcoat. Hangs the jacket on the door. 'You still got those black leggings from the ball?'

'Yes, I have the gloves and everything. Makatza insisted that I bring them, just in case,' he says walking over to a chest and pulling it open. Elgon loped off the bed and grabbed a mouthful of clothing that Bubble had left and trotted off. He rooted around and pulled them out. 'Here,' he says passing them over.

'Right, leggings, don't worry about your feet, we're going to be outside, so they can be bare like normal,' Garrett gives Fenris a look as he tries to protest. 'Look, she's marrying you, not some perfect idea of you, so drop it. Leggings, shirt, waistcoat, jacket, add the gloves and voila, you're set. Then I'll have Aveline do your hair and then all you have to do is walk down the aisle,' he grins. 'Nervous yet?' He adds.

'Better now that I will not look like I am wearing all the clothes I own,' he admits. 'Thank you Garrett.'

'Hey, what is a best man for?' He chuckles. 'Oh, speaking of which, where are the rings?'

...*...

'The rings!?' Makatza screamed as she came running out of the bathroom, suds still in her hair, towel roughly wrapped around her. 'I forgot about the rings!' She babbled to a Kiana who tried to calm down her.

'What are you on about?' She asked confused.

'We didn't get rings made! I don't have a wedding ring!' Makatza said in tears. 'I completely forgot.' She sat in the chair wetly. 'Which means Fenris doesn't either and the whole day is going to be rui-'

'Oh sweetie, it's okay, we'll sort something. We have smiths here, it's not the end of the world,' Kiana reassures. 'Now, go wash the soap out of your hair and we'll get you ready,' the Queen ushers her into the bathroom and leans against the door. Well, it was time to talk to her husband.

...*...

Fenris crossed over to his dresser and took out a small box, inside sat two rings. One a thick silver band, plain. The other was slim and slightly waved. 'It's to go over her engagement ring, they slot together,' Fenris explains. Garrett grins and snaps the box shut, he caught sight of some engraving on the inside of the bands but didn't ask about it. He put the velvet covered box into his pocket.

'Safe and sound,' he smiles.

'Oh, Makatza does not know about her ring. I had them made, King Alistair recommended the silversmith,' he says softly as he pulls on his shirt.

'Got ya, secret is safe with me,' he makes the motion of locking his lips together and throwing away the key. 'Wait, before I forget. Katza said that I was to brace myself,' he said confused, 'what does that mean?' For the first time since he had met the elf he saw something he had never witnessed. Fenris had turned to the mirror and smiled, a real genuine, happy smile.

'That, my friend, you will have to wait for,' he said in a tone of voice that made Garrett's heart lift. He ran his fingers through his hair and turned from the mirror. 'Trust me,' he says. Garrett can't help but smile widely.

'Okay, sure. I'll let you get dressed, I had better fish Izzy and Merrill out the bath anyway,' he laughs. 'They'll both be prunes walking down the aisle.' Fenris smiled and nodded buttoning his collar together as Garrett shut the door. He called Aveline up from downstairs and went into the girl's temporary bedroom. He opened the chest and pulled out the dresses for them. All of them were a pale blue, periwinkle? Or something along those lines. They all had a similar style, cut below the knee, pleated material so they looked like they had a light petticoat underneath, cinched in at the waist with a silver ribbon and a sweetheart bust. Merrill's had a pretty lace top that covered her shoulders and back. Aveline's had sleeves that hung from her shoulders and the bust had detailed flowers embroidered over it in a pale silver thread. Then there was Isabela's; the bust looked corseted and there wasn't much of a back to it apart from the ties. The silver ribbon was thicker and looked like a small sarong starting at her waist and tilting to her hip. Each one suited them perfectly and Garrett was impressed by the sizes, Makatza had pretty much got them exact. Their hair was all to be down and simply have the pretty clips that Katza had included, little delicate butterflies, pinning back their fringes.

'You look like you want to wear one,' Isabela teased as she and Merrill left the bathroom wrapped in towels.

'Just imagining you in yours, my love,' he says smiling. 'You'll look beautiful,' he smiles.

'You've forgotten about the shoes. Merrill has sandals, if she wants them, Aveline has got a pretty high heel number, and knowing me, Katza got me in some thigh highs,' she laughs. 'That girl thinks of everything.' She touches the dress on the bed. 'I can't wait to see her, it's been too long,' she smiled.

'Not long now darling,' he smiles kissing her gently. 'I'll let you girls get ready. I had better get ready myself,' he laughs as Aveline enters the room in her dressing gown. 'Don't be long!' He teases and dodges the pillow that Isabela sent flying his way.

...*...

The coach stopped in front of a field that backed onto a cliff, the sea peacefully lapping against the coast. Isabela gasped as she got out. Chairs were lined up each side, guests were just supposed to find a place and sit during the service. The aisle was lined with flowers, a powdery blue and dusty white, delicately placed either side of the pale blue linen that led to the altar. A gazebo covered the area, lights delicately hanging from the corners. The sun was near to setting and Isabela could see large garden candles everywhere ready for when it got darker. It was still incredibly hot, Ferelden seemed to be roasting this evening. The smell of honey and jasmine lingered in the air and she couldn't help but smile broadly. Merrill giggled and pulled at her hand as she went towards the altar, which had a delicate arch with ivy woven over it. There were a few guests milling around, being served by a couple of people Makatza had borrowed from the Castle. There was a young man, pinning floral buttonholes to the gentlemen of the party. A young woman holding the bouquets for the bridesmaids. She handed them out to each as they passed her.

Fenris helped Orana out the other coach and extended a hand to Varania stiffly. Their relationship had improved but it wasn't it's best. With everyone unloaded and word from a servant that Makatza was on her way, everyone took their places. The bridesmaids stood at the left of the altar, Fenris to the right. Garrett at his side and Elgon sat next to him, with Bubble; both proudly wearing smart collars. The band began to play a very light tune and everyone was chattering excitedly. Fenris smartened down his jacket and cursed a slight breeze that was ruffling his hair. It was petrifying. He couldn't remember ever feeling so nervous. Varric chuckled and offered his flask, which Fenris took a grateful swig out of. Feeling it warming his stomach and he hoped it would do something for his shaking hands. He could see the maids holding the twins sitting, smiling as the children happily slept. His head jerked up as he heard the sound of hoof beats. They were coming closer. He breathed in heavily, his throat suddenly very dry.

The first carriage pulled up and King Alistair stepped out in full dress armour and held out his hand for his Queen, Aveline and the other girls all gasped as they saw Kiana get out, her dress was incredibly similar; it stopped at her knees and had a sweetheart bust, but her arms were bare and the dress had a high collar. The Queens long deep red hair fell around her shoulders in deep ringlets, her own butterfly clip keeping it out her eyes. She refused to wear her crown, stating that for today, she was simply a woman. Garrett walked up to the pair and bowed at them both before waiting for the coach to move and the other one to arrive. The band began to start the wedding march that Makatza had given them, the King and his wife walking down the aisle to take their places. Kiana didn't have a bouquet as she was going to take Makatza's when the ceremony started. Garrett stood impatiently as the coach came to a stop behind him, he glanced at Fenris who looked like he was going to collapse, but he held himself tall. He winked at those who could see him and opened the door.

He felt his heart stop as a dainty, white slippered heel stepped onto the grass. Garrett's mouth hung open slightly as he took her hand. Her veil fluttered in the wind and he caught a glimpse of her mouth, turned up into a smile. Her other hand held a bouquet that had ivy trailing onto the ground. She squeezed his fingers before taking his arm. Garrett coughed and leant forward. 'You look beautiful,' he whispered.

'I'm terrified,' she giggled back. She looked to the altar where her Fiancé and friends were waiting. They were all silent and looking at her in astonishment. 'Is everything okay?' She asked.

'You look perfect,' he said softly as he began to lead her down the aisle. Fenris could only stare as he saw the love of his life walk towards him. His eyes trailed over her dress, it suited her so wonderfully he couldn't begin to describe it. Made out of silk, it billowed in the light breeze, the train fluttering behind her as she walked. It had a corseted top, a belt of silver chain and sapphires decorated her hips, a present from Kiana and Alistair, he later learned. The sleeves were delicate and followed her arms down to her wrist to the point of her middle finger. The skirt had a front panel decorated in lace to match the top of the bodice. He'd never seen a dress like it. Her hair was loose, the deep ebony curls framing her face, resting at the base of her back. Her veil came down to her chin, but the back almost covered her hair. Her presence hit him like a tidal wave. The pain of his markings dulled and he could no longer hear the music, he was just aware of the smell of her perfume and the sound of the petals being crushed beneath her steps as she got closer.

Garrett lifted her veil at the corner to kiss her cheek and stopped suddenly as he saw her earrings. They were his mother's favourite pair of pearls, they had a little sapphire that dropped from the pearl surrounded by tiny cut diamonds. Makatza smiled and spoke softly. 'Something borrowed, something blue.' Garrett's eyes began to water and he kissed her gently.

'Something old and something new,' he replied as he took her hand and kissed it before giving her hand to Fenris, who took it with a smile. He walked beside one of his oldest friends and tried to pull himself together. He looked over at Isabela who, with teary eyes blew him a kiss. Fenris smiled broadly as he saw Makatza and he could feel her fingers shaking as he held them. She turned and handed her flowers to Kiana who took them readily.

'We are gathered in the eyes of the Maker and his bride, to unite these two souls in holy matrimony,' the priest began, a little nervous about the royalty that was standing next to him and watching him from the front row. 'You may unveil your bride,' he says to Fenris.

Fenris swallows his nervousness and gently pulls the veil over her head. He smiles properly as he recognises the eyes that look back at him. He can feel his heart thundering in his chest, a deep ache that only looking at her and feeling her fingers against his could satisfy. Makatza smiled, biting her lip as she looked at him. Most of what was being said was lost on her, she could only think, feel, smell him. The priest goes through the service and smiles, 'you may say your vows to each other.'

Fenris began. He breathed in deeply and nodded. 'My Katza,' he said softly making her blush. 'I consider it an honour and a privilege to be the one you have chosen. All that I am and all that I have is yours. Because of you, I laugh, I smile, I dare to dream again. You are the light in my life.' Makatza could hear the sniffles of her bridesmaids. It was utterly beautiful.

She did as he did and took a breath before speaking. She had trouble looking him in the eye but held her head tall as she looked at him. 'Fenris, When we first met, the thought of us together was crazy and impossible. You are my bright shining star that made me see again and brought me back to life. I love you more than I can ever tell you or show you, and will love you forever and always.' She blushed heavily and tried to wipe away a tear that threatened to fall. Fenris smiled and gently wiped the tear away, his fingers lingering on her cheek. The priest happily satisfied to continue kept talking. He looked at Fenris waiting for an answer.

'I do,' Fenris says softly. Without taking his eyes from her. She was aware that the priest was talking to her and she looked at him when he stopped.

'Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?' He repeated softly. Makatza smiled and looked at Fenris, the man who brought her back from death, who stayed by her side and fought, bled, killed for her. The father to their unborn child.

'I do,' she says proudly. Fenris blushes and smiles at her as she looks back him.

'Best man, if you could pass me the rings?' The priest says holding out the book to him. Makatza's smile faltered and a pit grew in her stomach. Well this was going to be embarrassing. But to her surprise she saw Garrett take out a velvet box and open it, placing it on the book before returning to his place. Makatza looks at Fenris shocked, he smiles more and winks. 'Fenris, if you could place this ring on Makatza's finger please?' He asks. Fenris takes her hand and slides the beautifully delicate ring onto her finger. Makatza couldn't help but notice that it sat perfectly with her other ring. Her eyes began to fill up as she looked at him. The band was playing a wonderfully light romantic tune and she could feel it wrap around her as she slid Fenris' own wedding ring on, he had taken off his gloves to put her ring on.

'I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss your bride,' the priest says softly closing his book.

Makatza couldn't help but giggle as she heard Isabela whoop, Kiana joining in happily. She turned back to Fenris who pulled her close and turned her around so that he was supporting her from the ground. Her hair trailed along the ground, flowers getting caught in the locks. The music kicked off and she could hear her friends chanting at them to kiss. Fenris chuckles and pulls her close. Katza closed her eyes as she felt the soft warm kiss, tasting him on her lips.

The crowd went wild, jumping up and clapping. Fenris blushed as he pulled Makatza upright. He held her hand tightly as they walked back down the aisle together. It was time to go back to the Castle where Kiana had arranged a dinner and the after party. Makatza looked back at her friends and blew them kisses as they waited for the coach to pull up. Isabela ran up to her, throwing her arms around the bride. 'Oh maker look at you!' She squealed. There wasn't a dry eye in the group.

'Thanks Izzy,' she laughs. The coach rolled up and Fenris opened the door for her to get in, with a quick kiss on the cheek for Isabela she got in and Fenris followed.

...*...

The meal was amazing and the after party was getting underway in the Castle gardens. The twins had been put to bed and everyone was having a good time. Makatza had danced, laughed and cried with almost everyone. Garrett stopped and took a drink from a tray that passed. 'Woah, woah, can I get everyone's attention please?' He laughs with an arm around Isabela. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at him. 'I know we've had all the speeches, embarrassing as they were,' he chuckles winking at Fenris who replied with a small smile. 'But, I just want to say that, uh. Thank you. Thank you both for including me and I, I am so lucky to have you in my life.'

'Hear hear!' Said Varric raising a glass. 'I can drink to that!' He says smiling. Makatza crossed over and kissed Garrett on the cheek as she grinned. Fenris called her back over and took a glass of wine for himself and a glass of orange juice for Makatza that he had ordered specially.

'Well, I am not very good at things like these,' he began seeing as he had everyone's attention still. Makatza took her glass from him and sipped it while smiling. She leant against him as he spoke.

'Yeah we know, hurry up!' Isabela teased.

Fenris chuckles and shakes his head. 'Today, well Makatza and I have something that we wished to tell you.' He looked at her, and she took pity on him. He wasn't a good speaker in large crowds, not even their friends.

'Well, Garrett remember what I wrote in my letter?' She said loudly holding Fenris' spare hand.

'Yeah, you told me to brace myself,' he laughs.

'Well, it's that time,' she says smiling. She looks around her friends, they were hanging on her every word. 'Fenris and I,' she said looking at him. 'We're going to be parents!' She said happily. She looked around at the shocked faces. 'I'm pregnant!' She clarifies.

Garrett stood shocked and then screamed in joy, Isabela joining in enthusiastically. Merrill yelled, throwing her arms up in the air, spilling her drink over the luckless Varric. Garrett ran over picking Makatza up and spinning her around. 'I'm going to be an uncle!' He shouted happily. Fenris laughs as Varric and others congratulate him, patting his back and shaking his hand. Garrett put Makatza down only for her to be jumped on by Isabela.

'You're pregnant!' She screamed. 'With a mini Fenris!' She laughs. Makatza laughs holding her friend tightly.

'Yes, yes I know!' She giggles.

'Take a lot of practice did it?' Izzy teases making Katza laugh even more. 'I can't believe there's going to be a baby you! Oh I can't wait. Do you know what it is? Oh it doesn't matter! I'm going to be an aunty!' She squealed holding her tightly. The commotion and congratulations finally died down and Makatza was able to get back to her husband who was still be bothered by Garrett. Aveline was in tears, being comforted by Donnic, Orana and Merrill were deep in enthusiastic conversation. Kiana and Alistair were being interrogated animatedly by Varania who demanded to know everything.

'Happy my love?' Katza asks Fenris who simply smiles at her.

'Always with you,' he replies.

...*...

Makatza giggles, 'you don't have to carry me to the bedroom,' she laughs. The party had ended well, everyone was happy and when she threw her bouquet, it was Isabela who unintentionally caught it. That was a funny ten minutes when she figured out what it was and had to run from from Garrett as he tried to catch her in the moment.

'Wife, I will carry you everywhere if you continue,' he laughs himself before gently placing her on the bed. She laughed lightly as he knelt down and began to untie her shoe, gently sliding it off her foot. He did the same to her other slipper and began to kiss her toes, ignoring her giggling as he worked his way up her calf. His fingers ran over her thigh lightly as he leant up and kissed her deeply. She could taste the wine on his lips and she wrapped her arms around him tightly holding him close. His hands trailed from her thigh up her dress and began on the ties of her dress, delicately pulling the ribbons loose. He pulled her upright to her feet and let the dress pool at her feet. She stood almost bare before him, her garter and lace underwear all that she wore. He kissed her hard, winding his hand through her hair as she returned the need. He moved her onto the bed once more and laid her down, kissing down her throat, his hands winding over her body as he moved down her torso. He rested his head on her stomach, his fingers holding her hips as he listened to her breath. 'I love you,' he says softly as he inhales the smell of her skin. Her fingers played with his hair as she smiled.

'And I love you,' she replied, closing her eyes. He kissed her stomach once more, feeling the warmth of her skin against his cheek. He stood up and removed his waistcoat, and began to unbutton his shirt when he felt her hands move up his back and around his chest, she was on her knees, pressing her chest against his back. 'Come to bed ...husband,' she purred lightly. Fenris closed his eyes as he felt her breath and lips skitter over his bare skin. She began to unbutton the rest of his shirt and once that was done, she simply twirled a finger his leggings becoming loose and undone.

'That is cheating,' he says half heartedly. Makatza giggled and turned him around, running her hand down his stomach down the hem of his leggings.

'That's because I'm getting impatient,' she whispers into his ear as she begins to move her hand over him. He felt his breath getting heavy the more she moved. His body ached to be near hers. He grabbed her by the back of the head and crushed her lips against his, savouring the moan that broke from her mouth. Forcing her to lie back on the bed he climbed over her, a hand holding her mouth to his, the other roaming her body. All he could think of was her, her perfume, the softness of her hair and how her long legs wrapped around his body, holding him firmly in place. He longed for her warmth, the taste.

The rest of their clothing was hastily removed as their need to feel each other's skin grew. Makatza gasped as she felt his chest press against hers, his very presence flooding her being. His hand grasped her breast, lazily rolling her nipple between his fingers. Moaning and arching her back she dug her nails into his shoulders, her teeth grazing the skin under his jaw as he buried his head in the crook of her throat. She could feel her breath was hot and heavy, her mouth dry, body aching for release. Fenris exhaled deeply, being this close to her was almost enough to fulfil his need; but he wanted, needed more. Moving his head he brought her lips close to his and let his tongue dance with hers, as he moved their bodies and felt them become one. Makatza moaned into his mouth running her hand through his hair, pulling at the roots as her other hand scratched down his back.

He held her close as their bodies moved, the heat racing through him. He could feel her heart beating as her chest was pressed hard against his. He bit his lip as he watched her head tilt back as a ripple of pleasure coursed through her. The rhythm of her breathing was intoxicating as her voice as she murmured his name. He kissed her sweetly, moving his hips gently as she wrapped her legs around his hips tighter, increasing the pressure. Fenris couldn't help but let his own voice join hers as he moved. She entwined her fingers with his and he could feel the shock of cold metal as their rings were pressed between warm hands. Makatza's pleasure grew and he could feel her muscles tightening around him, he moaned in response, spurring her on.

Makatza could feel the wave growing, threatening to crash around her in bliss. She gripped his hand tightly and kissed him hard. He pulled her upright and their want for release grew, his movements becoming more intense. She nipped his lip as she breathed his name, wanting him to join her in release. The force he kissed her made it clear that he was almost sated. It cascaded through her body in ecstasy as the wave engulfed her, she cried his name, his kiss cutting off her moan as he joined her; his body next to hers, his muscles shaking. Makatza wiped his hair from his eyes, kissing him gently, theirs bodies still as one.

'Forever and always,' she whispered.

'Always and forever,' he replied, kissing her again.
