AN: Hey everyone! CaptainCakeless117 back with another installment of The Legend Reborn! I wanted to get this out before Thanksgiving, but I just missed it. But, nothing more to say on my part, enjoy the chapter!

Muunilinst - Skyhook

Plagueis stood silently as time seemed to slow around him, he started running the situation through his mind, and any preferable outcome that may come about. A pair of jedi and a squad of clones? He could take care of this with ease. First, incapacitate the master, massacre the clones then bri- wait. In the heat of the moment, Plagueis nearly forgot about Revan. The jedi turned sith, turned back again no doubt had a few tricks up his sleeve, and the muun was eager to see them play out.

Revan let a half-smile infect his face, "Which ones do you want?"

Plagueis opened his mouth to reply, but his train of thought was cut off by the sound of blaster fire and wounded screams. He turned to witness an unfathomable sight, at least, unfathomable to anyone except its creator. The clones had turned on their Jedi leaders, and it wasn't looking good for the Jedi. Several of the clones had already fallen, but more were pouring into the hangar at every second. They were so busy fighting each other that Revan and Plagueis could slip out unnoticed- if they could only unlock the Hangar's blastdoors.

Revan seemed to be thinking a few steps ahead of Plagueis though, as he suddenly leaped high into the air, stabbing his lightsaber into the durasteel wall outside the Dock Officer's transparisteel workspace. He called out to Plagueis.

"I'm gonna get those doors open, you just... I don't know try and stay alive I guess."

Plagueis scoffed, "Any tips on how to do that?"

"Don't get shot!"

Plagueis shook his head and watched the two Jedi attempt to hold off the onslaught of clones, trying to think of every advantage he could take. If he let the clones overwhelm the Jedi which was the most inevitable outcome, then he would be their sole focus after their deaths. And while Plagueis was a master swordsman, he still didn't like his chances going up against a battalion of battle-tested almost-mandalorian warriors single-handedly. Sure, his semi-immortality would keep him alive, but he could still feel pain.

But, wait. Revan needs Force-sensitive warriors if his resurgent Order is to survive, these Jedi could be allies, he thought to himself. But the Master was too set in his ways, he was a staunch traditional Jedi, not even Revan could convert him he suspected. But... the padawan, yes. She was perfectly suited for Revan's cause. Her doubt in the jedi wasn't easily concealed in a time like this.

Plagueis dashed into the fray, using the Force to increase his speed as he swatted at blaster bolts left and right. He channeled the Force into his offhand, sending a devastating wave of electric energy hurtling toward the Jedi Master, throwing him and a group of clones into the main hallway, their screams with equally sounding voices filling the air as the lightning actually managed to set their armor on fire while the Jedi's cloak was incinerated on contact and was subsequently knocked out cold; his internal organs starting to fail. Sira stood in complete shock, she had never witnessed such a powerful display of the Force before, and clearly none of the clones had either as all who still remained in the hangar gazed in either fear, or awe at this new foe.

Sira took advantage of the moment and began disarming clones, severing their rifles in half and using the Force to send a pair into a cluster of supply crates. She felt the Muun preparing for another onslaught of Force energy. His lightsaber extinguished, she watched as he extended his arms at full length, suddenly hearing the durasteel framing begin to creek and moan under some kind of pressure. The iridonian blinked, and next she knew the Hangar doors were sealed. In the moment following, she felt what could only be described as a part of her die; the bond with her Master had been severed. She dropped to her knees as tears began to stream down her cheeks, her master was dead.

Revan dropped from the Bay Control window, the outer doors were opening beyond the MagCon field. He came down on both feet and entered a somersault, shifting his momentum. He stood and let out a sigh, giving Plagueis a confused look.

"Why is she still here?" Revan questioned.

"Because Revan," Plagueis crossed his arms, "Operation Knightfall- as Sidious and I devised decades ago- has begun. The systematic execution of the Jedi Order is underway, therefore Jedi are about to become a rare and valuable resource, and if you are to establish a new Order under your leadership, then we are going to find them to be a very sought after resource."

"Looks like we've got our work cut out for us then." He strode toward the grieving iridonian and knelt beside her, "Hey. It's alright. You're safe."

She wiped the tears from her eyes and glanced at him, regret and confusion in her mind, "Why didn't you save him?"

"Because." Revan paused, "Your master would try to stop my friends and I if we did."

"And he should! Because... because you use the dark side. You stole the Ebon Hawk!"

Revan raised a brow, "Okay those are two completely unrelated points, but I'll indulge you. Yes, I use the dark side, but I do not let it consume me, its use is necessary. And on the Ebon Hawk? Well, I don't see how I can steal something that belonged to me in the first place."

The girl stood up angrily, "How is its use necessary?"

"Think of the Force like an... academic subject, if you will. You can't only learn half of that subject and expect to be an expert on it. To truly understand the Force, one cannot simply study the narrow-minded way of the Jedi, nor can a Sith simply study the dark side. You must study all its aspects if you are to be a true master, you must learn to draw on both light and dark, but not giving yourself to one side in particular." Revan explained.

She reached for her lightsaber, "No true Jedi would think like that. And that ship is not yours! It belonged to Revan."

Revan smiled, "You're right. It does belong to Revan, meaning it belongs to me."

She remained defiant, "No. Revan has been dead for millennia, it's property of the Jedi now!"

"Okay, two things. First: not dead, I seem to be addicted to living despite impossible circumstances, and second: We kinda need to leave. Like, now."

Sira followed his gaze toward the hangar door, something was superheating the durasteel and before long it would be malleable enough for them to break through. Revan glanced at Plagueis and motioned to the Ebon Hawk, the muun took the hint and hurried up the ramp, Revan turned back to Sira.

"Last chance kid, on or off?" he questioned.

She held his gaze for a moment, "You saved my life for a reason, and something's telling me I should listen. On. But I won't be staying long."

Revan rolled his eyes, "Yes, yes, need to get back to the Temple and all that. We'll play it by ear, now come on; I've already hit my quota for being attacked today."

He stood at the foot of ramp waiting for her to board, keeping his focus on the hangar doors, a deafening shockwave echoed through the room as a plume of smoke covered a large portion of the door, and troops began flowing through.

Revan ducked to avoid an impending blaster bolt, "Well looks like I've overstayed my welcome again." He turned and strode up the ramp, closing the hatch behind him and rushing to the cockpit, paying no attention to the others as they sat in the main room. He sat himself down in the pilot's chair and powered up the engines, he heard them roar to life. Revan prepared for liftoff, and disengaged the landing gear. Plagueis and Sira both came into the cockpit.

Plagueis hovered over him, "You realize they're gonna try and seal the hangar again?"

"Yup."

"So you think you can get us out of here quick enough?"

"Nope."

"Well." Sira interjected, "that's reassuring. Glad we've got such a crack pilot."

Revan veered the ship around and watched the doors beginning to close, he began transferring power to the main engines and sent the Ebon Hawk blasting out of the hangar, the sound of metal scratching against metal for a brief second as they broke away into the freedom of space.

"I stand corrected, guess I was quick enough." Revan boasted. He veered the Ebon Hawk into a hard left, trying to create distance between him and the Republic Cruiser that was orbiting the station. He began diverting shield power to the Hyperdrive and began typing codes into the navicomputer.

"Where are we going?" Sira asked.

"Somewhere safe. We need to regroup and plan our next move."

"Regroup?! We need to go to Coruscant is what we need to do!" Sira said, exasperated.

"We are not arguing about this now! Not with a Republic Capital ship bearing down our throats." Revan countered. The navicomputer beeped in confirmation, now he just needed to wait for the drive to finish priming.

"How long before we can make the jump? Plagueis asked.

"Not long, I just need to keep outmaneuvering them." He brought the Ebon Hawk into a steep climb, bringing the ship above the skyhook as the hyperdrive began beeping, he pulled the ignition and watched as the stars became streaks in the distance.

"Alright, we're clear again, now we just need to sit back and relax."

"Where are we heading?" Plagueis asked him.

Revan hesitated for a moment, "The Star Forge. We're going to the Star Forge."

Sira sat down, "That's not possible; the Star Forge was destroyed at the battle of Rakata Prime."

Revan nodded, "Yes it was. But a replacement was built."

She glanced from Plagueis back to Revan, "Who are you?"

Revan crossed his arms, "It's like I told you, and this is my ship. Always has been, always will be."

"But that's not possible... Revan died at the Foundry!"

"No I didn't, I came here. The Force is a shifting thing. Guess it had something else in mind when I ended up here."

"No. I don't believe it." Sira declared a shred of doubt in her voice.

"Whether you do or not, that doesn't matter. You'll realize it before long. After all, you felt like the Force brought you here for a reason. So you won't be going anywhere else for a while, kid."

"Revan is right. With the clones turning on Jedi like this, probably the safest place for you is with us."

"But I need to see the Temple!" Sira insisted

"The Temple's probably been razed, I guarantee there's nothing left." Revan speculated.

A tear worked its way down her cheek, Sira wiped it away, "I need to sleep. Let me know when we get where we're going..."

Revan stood up, "Here, I'll show you where the bunks are."

"I'll be fine. I kinda want to be alone right now."

Revan remained silent, instead he simply stood there. Plagueis cast him a glance, waiting for Sira to move out of earshot. He motioned for Revan to follow him into the Cargo Hold.

"What are you thinking?" Revan asked.

"At this point, we're kinda dead in the water, Revan. We've got an emotional little girl, and whatever else you managed to gather back at the Star Forge. Now, you're probably right. The Jedi Temple is probably getting razed as we speak. And I don't know how to track down any of the survivors." Plagueis explained.

"You helped engineer Operation Knightfall, so what do you propose?"

"We need to look to the Force for an answer. Meditation together has to give us something."

Revan nodded, "You're right. Let's begin." Revan took a seat on the cold floor, Plagueis followed his example. The pair began channeling the Force, centering themselves in different ways. Revan focused his emotions, letting the Force flow through him; he recited both the Jedi and Sith codes several times before an overwhelming presence surrounded him.

"Serra. Cin Drallig's greatest pupil has come to greet me"

Blue and Green clash, both powerful yet not evenly matched.

Dark hair and ponytails, she stands at the center of what is to come.

A government, stability. One name. Keto.

Plagueis channeled the darkside, focusing on those emotions which he thrived on. Fear, anger, hate. He manipulated the Force, making it succumb to his will.

"Funny. Those belonged to Ventress!"

"I think they suit me."

A duel between jedi, one scheduled for execution.

A prison for Jedi, no way in. No way out.

Revan and Plagueis both gasped as their respective visions ended, laying the steps for their next move. The pair stood slowly, still recovering from what they had seen. They smiled at each other, Revan spoke first.

"I found something."

"Well, that makes two of us. I need to get to Lola Sayu, I found something that could be of use."

"Care to explain?" Revan asked, not fully convinced.

"Our 'rare resource'." Plagueis responded cryptically.

"Oh, well then I wasn't the only one. Alright. So, we're gonna drop the girl off at the Star Forge, you can take a shuttle to Lola Sayu, and then I'm going to Coruscant." Revan said.

Plagueis blinked, "Why would you go to Coruscant? Do you know how many troops are there? How much security there is? The Jedi Temple is probably a smoldering ruin by now!"

"But that's just it! It's not. Or at least, not just yet. I don't know why, but Palpatine is doing something, I just don't know wh-"

"Palpatine?" Sira cut in, "You mean he's the one behind this!?"

Revan hesitated, "Yes, it was him. He's behind everything, the Battle of Coruscant, the Separatist secession from the Republic, and most of all the Clone War."

"Revan! That's enough. She doesn't need to know everything."

"We can't expect her to trust us otherwise. There's one more thing though."

"What?" Sira asked.

"Plagueis? You can tell her." Revan sat on the workbench.

"Si- Palpatine. He's the Sith Lord you've been looking for."

"How do you know that?"

Revan remained silent, waiting for Plagueis to answer, "Because I trained him."

Sira drew her lightsaber, "I won't work with a Sith. Kill me or let me go, but I won't stay here another second with a murderous dark side fanatic like you."

"But you see that's the thing. I'm no Sith anymore, if the Lords of ancient times saw what I've done, how deeply I've delved into the Light side and how far from traditionalist ways, I would probably have been deemed too weak, when the reality is that I am the strongest. There is something you must realize, Palpatine- or as I call him, Sidious- is hungry for power and control, he's tasted it, and he's become as you phrased it, a 'dark side fanatic'. Now, I am not one of these fanatics; Palpatine may have his silly little 'Empire' all he wishes. Empires have risen and fallen. Tyrants have lived and died. But the only truth in this universe is that there is always darkness where light is present; it keeps a balance of things..."

"I still don't trust you."

"Like it or not," Revan said, "You're stuck with us. You try to go anywhere else, the Empire will find you. And if they don't kill you, you'll wish they did. But if you stay with me, I can promise you that you will learn what it is to be a true Master of the Force. I've put too much effort into stopping the Sith to let them win now. Palpatine might have won this round, but it won't last forever. One day, we'll be ready. And he won't expect it.

Star Forge - In Orbit around Tython

Count Dooku watched as HK-47 dragged the Mandalorian into the interrogation chamber, strapping him to the table with the metallic binders while the Mandalorian was still unconscious.

"Was it really necessary to bludgeon him into a stupor?" Dooku inquired.

"Response: Necessary? No, not at all. Addition: Fun? Yes, it was great fun. And considering the circumstances, I suppose necessary and fun could be synonymous." HK answered; a slight chuckle in his voice.

Dooku stood silent, absolutely astounded by what he was hearing, "I don't know what in the Force's name Revan was thinking when he built you. You truly are, well, unique."

"Observation: Your choice of wording, 'unique'. I'm not sure whether or not I should be offended." HK replied.

"Then let me put it this way: If I had to go up against a member of the Jedi Council, I have a feeling I would stand a better chance with you by my side than with a squad of magna-guards." Dooku declared.

"Observation: You seem to be appealing to my audio-receptors´ sense of flattery, count. Declaration: It's not necessary as I calculate I could terminate any meat-bag who calls himself a member of the Jedi Council on an ideal environment and with the proper equipment in approximately 29.86 seconds, based on the information from the Jedi Order I have in my databanks from the Master's era and my current upgrades. Smug Assessment: No magna-guard could ever match my perfection so you would fare well with me by your side, count, provided you don't get in my line of fire."

"I will take your word for it," Dooku said slowly before his comlink beeped, "Zeego says the Temple's clear. He's waiting for Revan before we see what kind of condition it's in. They're just keeping the locals away for now." The main console beeped, a holo of Revan chimed in on the display monitor.

"Dooku! Glad to see no one's killed each other yet. Alright, so, I don't really have much time to explain. But, long story short is I have Plagueis, I have a Jedi Padawan, I'm dropping them off and then I'm going to Coruscant." Revan explained.

"You sound like this just your daily agenda." Dooku responded.

"It is! But, I need you to keep an eye on the girl while I'm gone, she's not the most... adjusted to our little group. HK, how's Spar doing?"

"Euphemism: He's... um... taking a nap." HK responded.

"He's unconscious isn't he?"

"No comment." HK stated.

"I'll take that as a yes then. Alright, HK you're taking Plagueis to Lola Sayu once I drop him off. Where's Zeego?"

"He's on the surface; he's trying to keep the flesh raiders from raiding the Temple. The warriors from Kalikori are helping him." Dooku explained.

"He is? Good. Once I get back from Coruscant I want to have a look around." Revan looked away for a moment to adjust something in the cockpit. "I'm dropping out of lightspeed now; meet you in the docking bay.

Revan brought the ship into the bay, catching sight of his allies near the door. He put the ship's systems on standby before calling out to Plagueis and Sira.

"Come on you two, we're here." Revan wasted no time leaving the ship, he smiled to Dooku and HK, grasping the former's hand in a quick handshake. "Glad to be back together again."

Dooku nodded, "Likewise, it was getting lonely. One can only handle so many of Zeego's wisecracks."

Revan chuckled, "Well, sadly I can't stay too long. I need to get to Coruscant before it's too late." He motioned to Sira and Plagueis, "These are the guests I mentioned to you, the muun needs no introduction I think. And our younger comrade is a former padawan of the Jedi Order, her name is..." Revan hesitated.

"Sira," she interjected. "Sira-Talis. And you're Count Dooku, head of the Confederate Senate? This day just keeps getting better. I may as well write myself off as a traitor to the Republic at this point!" she ranted.

Revan simply looked at her for a moment, "I'll say it again. The Republic you knew is gone, destroyed by Palpatine."

"Wait, what do you mean destroyed? And 'former' Jedi? Wait, don't answer that. I didn't realize he was still going through with it... not since I joined you." Dooku said.

"And I didn't see it coming so soon at all. Now, if you'll excuse me I need to be going, before it's too late!" Revan left the group at a light jog for the Ebon Hawk, he turned around at the boarding ramp for a second, "HK! Get to a shuttle and take him to Lola Sayu, we're on a tight schedule thanks to recent events." He left without an answer; the others watched on as Revan took off, leaving just as quickly as he had arrived.

HK-47 wasted no time; he turned and left for the adjacent docking bay. Plagueis took the hint and followed. Dooku and Sira remained, both unsure of how to proceed, refusing to meet each other's gaze. Dooku took a breath before addressing her.

"Knowing Revan, he didn't tell you anything about what we're doing here, did he?"

"Why do you keep calling him Revan?! He's been dead for millennia."

"The facts are looking you square in the face, but you won't put the pieces together! The man flies the Ebon Hawk, he brought you to the Star Forge, and not to mention the homicidal assassin droid that just walked out called HK-47. The one Revan built."

Sira didn't respond.

"Revan has a plan. He's seen what's going on in this Galaxy, and he's not letting it fall into Palpatine's grasp. That's why I'm here, why Plagueis and Zeego are here. Revan is going to bring about a new age. A better age. The Jedi are gone, and soon the Sith will be too. But I can assure you, from their ashes Revan will bring about something unparalleled in history. Just give him the chance, and you'll see it too. Now please, come with me. Let me give you the tour, even though I haven't been here very long."

Sira stood like a statue for a moment before finally taking a step forward, having chosen her path that the Force always planned for her.

Ebon Hawk - En route to Coruscant

Revan sat in the pilot's chair, switching the Ebon Hawk to autopilot and walking back into the garage. He took out his lightsabers and set them on the workbench before opening the casings and tinkering with the emitters and power cells. Lightsabers, just like any weapon were virtually useless when not maintained. He gazed at the focusing crystals in each of them.

That reminds me. He thought to himself, I need to go to Ilum soon. The New Order is going to need lightsabers and for that crystals will be necessary. He sealed both of the hilt's casings and ignited the blades, listening to the hum of them cutting through the air before returning to the cockpit.

He pulled out the datapad with T3's memory core again, turning it over in his hands before stuffing it in the confines of his robe where it was safe.

"Just a little longer little guy, I'll see you in a little bit." He smiled.

He disengaged the hyperdrive and let the Ebon Hawk drift in open space, watching the planet below, its orbit cluttered with the hulls of dead ships left from the Battle of Coruscant. He began descending toward the planet, Coruscant Traffic Control didn't comm him, they must've still been in disarray Revan figured, but instead he was greeted by a grand fleet orbiting the city. He broke off from his present course and veered toward the Jedi Temple, deciding to take a more direct approach. The sun was rising, and he could see the smoke billowing from the grand towers of the order, the fires were still burning for all he knew.

He opened himself to the Force, searching for her. The one from his vision. He peered into the Temple, probing the ancient structure through the Force. While there were still quite a few padawans and temple staff fighting for their lives spread through the building, he could only sense three individuals that were considerably powerful in the Force. The first was unknown to him, no doubt a Jedi Master judging from his impression in the Force. He moved to the second, the familiar sense of one-sided Dark Side tainting presence. He had felt this man before, the way he manipulated the Force around him. Skywalker.

Revan's eyes snapped open. Skywalker had joined Sidious; Revan's vision was coming true. He put the Ebon Hawk into a steep dive toward the base of the Temple, he sensed the third presence was her, but Skywalker was near, they were going to clash with each other before long.

Revan didn't wait for the Ebon Hawk's landing gear to extend, the ship hit the ground before it had slowed to a landing speed. The hull screeched, and the Ebon Hawk skid across the outer courtyard before being stopped by the Temple's outer statues, the ship settled, and the landing gear raised the ship off the surface. Revan was amazed to see they still functioned, but he didn't complain. He lowered the ramp and ran out of the ship, lightsabers in hand expecting a legion of troops to greet him after that entrance.

He ascended the Temple steps and a patrol of clone troopers greeted him with a volley of blaster bolts. He ignited his lightsabers and deflected a blaster bolt back at one of the troopers before throwing his blue saber at another. Both soldiers fell to the ground, Revan leaped at another one, cutting him down throwing the final trooper over the platform with the Force.

Deactivating the blades, he closed his eyes and searched for Serra. Sensing she wasn't alone, he hurried into the Temple, making his way toward the Library. Revan was surprised, he encountered very few troops, they must've been moving through other areas of the Temple and those he did encounter could be easily avoided with either his Force Cloak stealth technique or a brief mind control trick here and there for them not to notice Revan. He turned the corner into the Holocron chamber and climbed a set of stairs into the second floor. Looking up at the balcony above in the next floor, the former Sith Lord prepared to leap toward the Archives.

Revan began focusing the Force to amplify his jump, but in the seconds to follow, he heard a grunt as a figure fell from the balcony above, lightsabers in hand. Revan stared at the large pillar that was following. He reacted in a split second, relying on his instincts. He focused the Force and amplified his speed, pulling Serra toward his feet, her unconscious body falling limp in front of him a fraction of a second before it would have ended her. He concealed his presence from the newly turned Sith and cloaked the two of them within the Force only to watch as the other Jedi came running into the chamber, Revan remained still as he approached Serra. Skywalker jumped from the Balcony towards the ground floor.

"Your favorite student is no more." The fallen Jedi declared.

Revan watched silently as the pair entered a duel; refusing to involve himself. Plagueis was right, saving Masters was a waste of time; he needed those who were more willing to learn, just as he did during his time as the Dark Lord.

The two clashed for what seemed like hours before their duel finally carried them out of the Archives. Revan revealed himself physically, yet maintaining his hiding in the Force. He kneeled down next to Serra, lightly slapping her cheek.

"C'mon I really need you to w-" he choked on his words as she opened her eyes, getting lost in them. He forgot where he was for a moment and thought he was staring at his wife.

She broke him from his trance, "What are you staring at?" she asked groggily.

Revan hesitated, "Nothing, sorry. Just had me worried for a second there. You need to come with me; we have to get out of here."

Serra tried to settle into a sitting position; she managed with Revan's help, "We can't. My master's here. We have to stop Anakin!"

"You can't stop him here!" Revan told her, "You're too weak right now, and your master isn't going to last much longer, I can sense it."

"Then go and help him!"

"I can't, events have been set in motion. I won't change the Force's plans." Revan replied, his words echoing those of a Jedi Master.

"Well if you won't help mind telling me who you are then?"

"Who I am isn't important, not right now. My mission on the other hand is."

Serra gave him a 'get on with it' type look, very reminiscent of something he imagines he himself would've made.

"The Republic is no more, and neither are the Jedi. Palpatine's planned all of this, but I won't let him win. Now to stop him, I need your help. Please." Revan held a gaze with her.

She slowed her breath, thinking. "Help me up; I'm not sure how well I'll do on my own right now."

Revan complied as he helped her back on her feet. She placed an arm around his back for better support and when she looked back into his eyes Revan couldn't help but think about his wife with fondness. On her part, Serra blinked a few times, feeling the Force rushing through her nervous system unexpectedly the second their eyes locked.

"Did you feel that sudden rush in the Force?" Serra asked her savior.

Revan was silent for a moment. Then he shook his head. "No, but I can imagine the Force must have been trying to tell you a message. The question is what do you think it means?"

Serra tilted her head downwards for a moment as she quiet her mind. When she got her answer she looked back up, towards those dark brown eyes that were looking at her with softness. "It tells me that I should trust you."

Revan smiled brightly at that. "Great, then let's go."

He turned his head towards the exit but Serra didn't move. "Not so fast," Serra said sternly. "First we are saving my master."

Revan's smile vanished in a flash. Sensing this conversation was going to take some time, he distorted their immediate surroundings with the Force in a way that would prevent clone troopers from noticing them. "We already overstayed our welcome here. We need to leave undetected while we can. And I promise I will explain everything later but I am not ready to make my move against the Sith Lords just yet. There are events that still need to unfold and plans that need time to develop. I am sorry but I can't risk sacrificing my anonymity card to save your master."

Serra's determined stare did not relent. "Too bad, because if you won't be helping my master I will. Thing is, you are probably right; I am too exhausted right now to make much of a difference. But I will help him anyway and if I die in the process then so be it. But, if you really need me like you told me then you can't let that happen. So go ahead and help my master or on my life that I am jumping down this balcony and rushing to my potential death."

Revan stared at her incredulously. "Even though you just felt that the Force has a greater purpose for you?"

Serra lifted her chin and met his stare head on. "Considering we have believed for over a decade that Anakin Skywalker would bring balance to the Force and that now he is actively plotting to destroy us, it appears our methods to interpret what the Force tells us are in need of some serious re-evaluation."

"Good point," Revan admitted as he stared at her for a moment. "You are way too stubborn considering our dire situation, though."

Serra actually smirked at that. "I have been told on more than one occasion that my stubbornness and my rebellious attitude are some of my most attractive qualities so if you want me to come along with you then you better get used to it."

Revan shook his head in disbelief right before chuckling aloud in pure mirth.

"What is it?" Serra asked curiously.

Revan took a deep breath before answering. "Nothing, you just remind me of someone I used to know and in more ways than one, actually.

Serra looked contemplative for a moment before she shrugged. "You can tell me all about that later, if you help my master that is."

Revan smirked back. "Blackmail. So grey of you. I feel so proud already."

Revan took a moment to let her process those words before speaking again. "You got yourself a deal."

As if on cue, a clone trooper with a rocket launcher in his hands entered his line of sight on the other side of the balcony. He did not notice them, however, because of the mental influence Revan was exerting over his immediate surroundings. Revan focused on the Force even further and sensed that the Jedi Master barely holding it together and wouldn't last much longer against the Sith Lord's onslaught.

A sudden moment of inspiration struck Revan and decided to act accordingly. From afar, he used his immense command of the Force to seize the weak mind of the clone. Once he was at the full mercy of the former Sith Lord, he directed the clone as he aimed the rocket launcher to the damaged outer wall on the far side of the room where the duel was taking place. The Jedi and the Sith sensed the sudden danger and they jumped in opposite directions just as the explosion tore a huge hole in the wall and the shockwave knocked the duelists off their feet.

Skywalker shook his head and stared at source of the missile. He barely had enough time to glare at the clone in contempt before Revan ordered him to fire another rocket in the Sith Lord's direction. Skywalker let out a foul curse before he made an all mighty Force jump to leap far out of the way.

Meanwhile, the Jedi Battlemaster known as Cin Drallig got back on his feet and recalled his lightsaber with the Force. He grimaced as he looked around. He couldn't believe this was happening. The Jedi Temple that had stood for millennia was being systematically destroyed room by room and the Grand Army of the Republic has turned on the Jedi. Moreover, his prized pupil, the one he had hoped would succeed him one day as the Jedi Order's Battlemaster was slain by not only a friend but the one they believed would eventually destroy the Sith for good.

He knew that vengeance wasn't the Jedi's way but now he wanted nothing more than to strike Skywalker down for taking Serra's life. And just as suddenly, his mind cleared. He looked back at the hole on the wall that was caused by the explosion and realized this was his last chance to escape with his life. As much as he hated to admit it, he was in no condition to defeat the treacherous Skywalker and with at least half of the Jedi Council dead or missing in action he was probably one of last high ranking Jedi of whatever little has remained of this simultaneous ambush. If at least part of what's left of the order manages to re-group somewhere safer, he will be sorely needed then especially if most of the survivors are young knights and elder padawans. He can't die yet.

Drallig gave one last regretful look at the pillar that crushed his promising pupil before reaching for a lightsaber besides his fallen knight's corpse. Then he sighed and started running at full Force speed through the hole and out of the temple; swatting aside the enemy blaster fire with his two energy blades and craving a path out of the squad covering that particular outer section of the Temple with a frenzy of slashes.

Revan ceased to exert subtle mental persuasion over the Battlemaster as he cut down the last of the clone squad in his near vicinity. From their cloaked spot in the Temple, Serra and he could see Skywalker barking orders at a fast approaching battalion of clones from the 501st legion. Revan waited for them to get closer to the Sith Lord's position in the lower level before making an additional distraction and covering his tracks at the same time. He used his advanced mind trick to make the controlled clone fire his final missile directly to the floor he was standing over, effectively committing a kamikaze attack against the legion as his section of the balcony collapsed and the clones had to disperse to dodge the debris that was falling on top of them.

"That's all I can do for your Master right now," Revan told Serra as he looked back at her. "At the very least he has a fighting chance to survive out there."

Serra nodded slowly. "That's all he really needs."

"All right, now let's get the Mandalorian hell out of here before my last distraction wears off," Revan urged.

Serra looked at the hole in the ruined wall where her master escaped through one last time. "Good bye Cin, may the Force be with you." And with that she took her savior's hand and followed him outside.
