DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN LEGEND OF ZELDA IN ANY WAY, I OWN ONLY THE STORY AND NOTHING OF THE CHARACTERS

I should've put that in the first chapter, oh well NOW IT IS SAID XD

Also another thing, sorry for any typos, but I'm going to make sure to edit and revise before submitting any further chapters, but this story shall be updated very often, possibly a chapter per day due to my complete Zelda craze happening and I'm taking advantage of it, and currently replaying Twilight Princess for like the 20th time. Or is it more than that? I can't even remember, but I hope you enjoy the story! Tell me if you enjoy it or not :D

Chapter 2

Opening his eyes to a bright light, Link slowly opened his eyes, the light piercing his vision, causing him to blink a couple of times. A wet cloth on his forehead, and the muffled noise of voices in the room. They were soft as if to be quiet and not disturb him, but he could still hear them. He opened his eyes completely, trying to sit up, but the dizziness caught up with him before he tried to even do so, forcing him back to a lying position. He heard Rusl's gasp and the steps of his feet walking to him in a hurried way. Link looked at the older man with a confused expression.

"Link? Can ya hear me? Know how many fingers I have up?" Rusl asked, lifting his hand up while he knelt down to the boy. Link squinted his eyes then realized the amount of fingers.

"Three fingers.. Rusl, what happened?" He wearily rasped, his head tilted to face him, his body shuddered. He was under some blankets and head under some soft pillows. Rusl reached for the wet cloth which was warm, to dampen it once more with some cooler water.

"You collapsed when you grabbed Epona's reins. Your lucky I saw you fall before the door had shut. You had a really high and serious fever. Why didn't you tell us?" Rusl shook his head slowly at the boy, "You need to tell us these things. Fado covered you for the days you were out."

Link blinked, anxiety taking over him and he panicked, "d-days? How long have I been lying here?" He shivered with a cough escaping his lips. Rusl rubbed his shoulder, to calm him down. The anxiety spike went down, the rubbing was calming him a bit more than he would've thought.

"Calm down bud, you've been laying here for at least three days. It's alright. Though, everyone had a scare when I shared the news of your fall, but Fado agreed with having you to rest for a while. This has to do with you sleeping in late doesn't it?" Rusl asked, slightly demanding an answer. His protective father side was showing, even if they weren't blood related.

Link looked away with discomfort and shame. It washed over him like a sea wave crashing into a rock wall. ".. Yeah..." He replied quietly, his eyes slightly closing with shame and disappointment with himself. He should've at least kept himself healthy, though he did a very lousy job. "I'm sorry..."

Rusl let a forgiving and concerned face change his expression. "It's alright, but this means you are to not leave this house until you are better, got it? Doesn't matter if a single monster comes to the door knocking. We're here to keep you safe like you did with us. We protect each other, stop trying to protect us by keeping worry out of our heads. That's not going to work with the worry though, we worried all the time, while you were out fighting for Hyrule and your life. Let us help you now." He said to Link, as the boy trembled and looked at him with a short nod, and allowed Rusl to dip the cloth once more. "I'll let Uli know your awake now. Stay here and relax. Rest up and get better. If you want to us to worry less, take care of yourself. Make time for yourself." He said as he got up from his knees. Rusl walked to the door after placing the cloth back to his head and left the house. Leaving Link to himself and his thoughts. It didn't take long for him to fall asleep again...

After a few more days that passed, Link was getting back to complete health. He started to walk around once more and actually took the time to go see others in the village and let them know how he was doing. His fever was gone and his wounds have finished healing, so he thought it was a great time to get some chatting in. Though, it wasn't going to stop him from his night patrols. He was just going to have to be a bit more careful. He was deemed good enough to go back to his home, though Rusl was still going to check up on him in the morning.

Once the village went quiet with lights out and people sleeping in their homes, Link stood outside in the cool air. He let his body shift, he became engulfed with black which made him land onto all fours and when the black disappeared he stood on four paws. He shifted into his wolf form, after a week, he longed to be in this form and get back to work on watching over the people of Ordon. He turned to the woods and headed to the Spring, shaking his pelt with a grunt before trotting there. Epona watched him walk away with a sigh like quiet neigh. Her ears went back and she continued back in her nap.

Link yawned and stretched when he came to the water, shaking his pelt once more and lapped at the water. After a nice, relaxing drink from the Spring, Link lifted his head to sniff the air. Taking in a deep breath, he scented something about to come by, he slowly padded out of the water. His teeth starting to bare and he stalked forward to find a stallhound entering the area. He growled at the monster, adverting its attention to him. The monster growled back, and leaped forward, Link barreled out of the way and rolled into the water. His fur dampened and soaked before he got up, and what caught his attention is that this stallhound did not come alone. Its companions growled at the big grayish-black and white wolf. Link snarled and bared his teeth at the rest of them. He counted at the amount surrounding him. There was five of them, and one of him. He snapped at one, making them back up and another one leaped onto his back from behind him, he snapped and barked at them, twisting and turning as the stallhounds attacked, biting and grabbing each one of Link's body. Tearing into the skin and through the flesh, grabbing at his ear tip and ripping off the tip.

Wolf Link whined and whimpered in pain, though he continued to fight, snapping and smashing into one of the monsters, forcing them to back a little. He rolled over to get the one on his back off of him. Leaving a gash on his side and a crushed stall-hound. They backed up a bit more before one lunged and forcing Link to lunge back at it, snapping at its neck and grabbing a hold. Throwing the monster across the Spring and into the wall, the cracking of bones sounded from the impact and the other stall-hounds growled and snarled, they circled Link. Link didn't dare to lift a paw from the Spring. The Spring was holding back most of the pain, and he couldn't appear vulnerable to the hounds. Two lunged, and he backed out of the way, forcing them to crash into each other, another grabbed his tail and pulled, tearing into his flesh and spurting blood into the pure water. There was already blood filling the spring, but this one made him shriek, the made went overwhelming and pulled on his spine. He yelped and lunged at the stall-hound, grabbing them by the throat and launching them out of the spring. The last two looked at the wolf as the wolf huffed with an aggressive huff and watched them yelp and run out of the spring and back to Faron woods.

Soon enough, the sky started to turn dawn and Link was laying in the spring, covered in blood and feared that if he left the spring, he wouldn't be able to make it back to his home. He watched the clouds, he was at least satisfied that he stopped monsters from entering the village. He lied his head on the sand, his head pounding. The water is able to dull the pain and slowly heal the wounds but with how deep his wounds are with the gash and scratches, and a broken rib, he wasn't going anywhere until he was able to walk. His eyes started to close, until they drooped to the bottom but they immediately opened them when he heard Rusl. Rusl was calling his name. His heart pounded and ears flattened to his skull. Wincing, he started to stand, wobbling and shaking, his eyes blurred from the amount of blood loss. He collapsed back to the ground, making a splash in the water when he fell down. That's when he heard Rusl's footsteps get closer to the spring. He was afraid, but completely unable to move unless its to the sand, and with the rate of his wounds bleeding, he won't last longer on walking. He whimpered softly, watching the man enter the spring. Rusl didn't notice the wolf until he saw a dead stall-hound turn to dust from the sunlight hitting it and the splatter of blood leading to him. He breathed and drew out his sword, holding his torch high and sword facing forward. Link sighed with a whine, his ears lowered and emotion showing in his eyes. He laid his head on the soft sand, his body shaking to show no threat to him. Rusl looked closely at the bleeding wolf.

"What's a wolf doing out in the spring. I haven't seen a wolf since the kids went missing. Wait, hold on." He looked a little closely, squinting his eyes but did not dare to even get close to the beast. "I've seen you on the night the children and Link went missing." He spoke, looking into the blue eyes of the wolf, they looked oddly familiar, but the confusion over-took him to even understand. Then he turned around sharply to hear a gasp, to see Uli behind him with fear.

"Is that a wolf? Be careful, Rusl." Uli warned, her eyes showing great concern for her husband. Though, Rusl only narrowed his eyes at his wife.

"I thought you were asleep, besides that you know its dangerous at dawn. I only came out to check on Link, he isn't in his house." Rusl said, looking at his tired wife. "Go back to the village."

Rusl's attention turned when the wolf struggled to get up, his body weak and fragile as he managed to get up. Limping through the stream and away from the humans, his ears back and whined every time he touched the ground with his paws. Once the wolf touched the sand with all paws out of the spring, he yelped and fell to the ground, shaking and panting. Rusl looked concern for the creature. "It's afraid of us, and when we saw that wolf the night the children went missing, he didn't even attack up, but just looked at up with great fear. Do you think we should help it?" He turned to Uli as the wolf watched them talk, his body shuddering and shaking, and eyes drooping in exhaustion. She nodded to her husband.

"It's the least we can do, for it not attacking us. And I did hear about this beast from the kids when they returned from Kakariko Village." Uli said, then continued. "This wolf didn't even touch any of their stuff or them. It just ran by peacefully, as if used to being around humans all their life."

"That's very strange." Rusl replied to her, but when he directed his attention on the wolf, he realized the poor thing had passed out, but noticed the shallow lifts and falls of breathing. "C'mon, let's go get this thing in the house before anyone else awakes."

Later in the morning, the wolf had woken up to the sound of a child, and the feeling of a hand running down the back of his neck. He whined softly and opened his eyes, dazed by the light and squinted all the same. He looked around to see the child and where to see it was Colin petting him. His ears perked and he let out some painful whimpers. Colin stopped stroking his fur and scooted back, noticing the wolf awakening. The wolf grumbled softly and lifted himself into a laying position with his head up, he shook his head to realized, he wasn't in the spring anymore. He started to panic with anxiety trickling down his spine and into his head. I'm back in Rusl's house. How did I get in here? Am I dead? No, no. Colin wouldn't be here unless he died, but I made sure no monsters come in. How did I get here? He thought, whining as he looked around as if he was dumbfounded. Colin spoke and it made Link look back at him.

"Hey, wolfy. Mind If I call you that? Dad found you in the spring and brought you back. He must've remembered you like I did. I know you aren't harmful, but he put you on a rope anyways. Sorry for that." Colin spoke to him, looking sad. "He got up to check on Link, but he didn't find him. Even if he just left his house, he must've went on some adventure."

The wolf looked at him as if trying to say something to him through whines. He noticed bandages and the rope Colin said that was on him. He tried to nibble at the rope then stopped and placed his head down after a thought. If I tried to escape, they won't let me leave because of the injuries. I sometimes forget that in this form, I'm just a regular wolf. He huffed softly and lowered his ears, watching the door as it creaked open.

His eyes looked up to the human who carried a sword, immediately recognizing him as Rusl, and shrunk down, curling his tail around his side to show his fear to him. Rusl looked at the wolf and crouched down, slowly letting a hand out and patting the head of the wolf.

"You were in quite the jam last night, we thought you were going to die. But turns out, your a survivor. Lucky to have the wounds healed a bit by the spring there boy." He spoke to him, rubbing his head, but the wolf refused to move, his body starting to tremble. "You must be in pain, huh bud? There's some warm milk with some medicine in it. Make sure to drink it all. I can tell your thirsty by you panting." Rusl said as he stopped rubbing the wolf's head and got up. "Colin, why don't you go tell your mother that the wolf is awake, and keep quiet, no one in town knows except us, okay?" The man said to his son as Colin nodded quickly and got up to dash out, opening the door and closing it quietly.

Link watched Rusl walk away to the bedrooms. He got up and walked slowly to the bowl, lapping at the milk and tried to not make much of a mess. His ears flattened back, it would've tasted bitter but the milk cover the taste. Though he could taste some potion contents in it as well. Rusl came back out with another set of bandages, clearly showing that it must be time to change the bandage. Rusl smiled a little as he saw the wolf drinking the milk up until it was licked dry. It was a small bowl but held the necessary amount of medicine with the milk. The wolf grunted with a satisfied grunt and slowly laid back down. Huffing softly and looking at the man with tired eyes.

"The medicine will help you sleep and with the pain to be dulled down. I'll wait for you to fall asleep so I can change the bandages." He said softly, reaching down to pet the tired wolf. The wolf wagged his tail slightly and yawned. Rusl retracted his hand quickly to only realize that the wolf was yawning, not trying to bite. "You really are a peaceful beast." He reached to pat him again. The wolf closed his eyes and fell right back into another sleep...

"How you feeling?" Said the shadowy imp at Link's side, he looked at the imp and dimly smiled.

"I'm feeling better, thank you." He said, "but I'm mostly surprised that you didn't say like, 'Get back to sleep so we can leave sooner' or 'Get up already and work on the next shard piece'." Link smiled with a small smile. Midna just looked away with a blush.

"Well, if we want to continue then you need to get better." She huffed, looking away with a flustered face.

Link softly laughed, then it changed to him lifting his hand to her from under the blanket he had, and reached for her hand. "Make sure you take a break too. Don't worry over me so much. Get some sleep, Epona will take after watch, won't you girl?" He asked the horse beside the campfire, the horse softly whinnied at them as a answer to his question. "Good girl.. Now, Midna, get some... sleep.." He mumbled and fell back to sleep as the small imp drifted to his side and cuddled under the blanket next to him. She smiled to the hero and her eyes were gentle.

"Goodnight, hero..."

Wolf Link woke up, it had been a few days since he has been brought into the home, though this time it was night. With the medicine and care of the three of the people he cared most about. He was almost completely healed, and being let back out into the woods to set free. Rusl had also been getting worried with Link being gone for so long, and Uli tried to reassure him that he just does this and can handle himself. Though he couldn't help it. Link wanted to tell him so bad that it was him, but acceptance would be impossible with his anxiety creeping upon his mind again. He shook his head slightly and gave a big yawn.

Link stood up and shook his fur, Rusl then asked if the wolf can walk with him without the leash. He nodded with a quick nod and walked to the door as Rusl grabbed the collar off the wolf. He scratched at the door of the house. Rusl opened it to only find the wolf to dash out but where to he can see, to stop and wait for Rusl to follow. Rusl gave a smile to the wolf, seeming to know that he wasn't wrong to let it off the leash. He followed the wolf to Faron Woods, the entrance to it and sadly watched the wolf leave. Link dashed away with glee, finally able to roam free and get back to his human form as he disappeared into the bushes and trees. Rusl turned back to the Ordon Village path and left. Link followed slowly behind, and once he watched Rusl leave Link's house and through the entrance of Ordon, Link transformed into a human once more, stretching and pulling the tension from his muscles. He didn't want to stay a wolf so long. Usually in the twilight, he only stayed a wolf for about two days. It was almost a week since he's been able to walk on two legs. His eyes glimmered in the moonlight and made his way to his house. Climbing up the ladder and opening his door. He walked to the ladders up to his bed and plopped onto his bed with relief. He was grateful for not being found out, but also very grateful that Rusl found him right in time. Link quietly thanked the goddesses, sometimes they don't seem so very cruel to him. He wanted to tell the village about his wolf side still, but his questions lingered on that thought. He wasn't ready just yet and to make his anxiety worse, he was afraid to do so. What If he was kicked out of the village? Out of a family he knew since he was born, and out of a home he had? He shook his head and decided to not dwell on it until the morning. His eyes closed and he fell asleep, the silence with crickets filling the air with their music pulled him into a slumber he wished for, deciding no more wolf things unless absolutely necessary or if it was around midnight and he was checking the time.

It soon turned dawn, and Rusl had left his home to check if Link was home once more, he was worried about the boy and wasn't going to think to leave him be after being sick just almost a week ago. He stretched and walked through the entrance of Ordon, reaching to his home as Epona whinnied softly to the older man, Rusl walked to the mare and patted her neck softly. "Sh, girl. Go back to your nap. I"m just checking to see if Link had returned." He whispered, giving the horse a small kiss on the forehead. Rusl looked up to Link's home, gently knocking on it. "Link, ya home yet? I'm getting awfully worried, haven't been home for almost a week." Rusl called to him through the door, not opening it until he heard a loud thump and groaning. Rusl opened the door slowly, "Link, you in here?"

Link had fallen out of bed from the scare, he got up onto his feet and looked over the railing, "you just made me fall out of bed. Is something the matter?" He grumbled tiredly. Looking as if he was finally getting back to his sleepy ways. Rusl looked up at the boy and smiled.

"Sorry about that, Link. I was just worried about you. Sorry for waking you up." Rusl waved slowly to see Link yawning and closing his eyes slightly.

"Could've waited til morning its like-" Link turned around to look out the window, "like dawn or something." He turned back to the swordsman and waved at him back, slowly walking back to his bed.

"Then you get back to sleep, and come over in the morning to get some bread." Rusl mentioned and left the house, closing the door quietly to not disturb him again. Epona looked at Rusl once more with her own sleepy eyes and quietly whinnied at him. "Sorry for the ruckus, girl." Rusl replied to the mare as he climbed down the ladder. Patting the mare softly and walking back to the village once more.

Later in the morning, Fado came by and called up to the window, calling for Link as Link appeared in the window and made Fado feel relief. He waved up at the young boy. The former hero waved back.

"Need help with the goats?" Link called down to the shepherd. The older man nodded, and waved him goodbye as he headed back to the ranch. Link rolled out of bed and yawned. Stretching his arms and legs, it felt great to be a human again. Sometimes, he felt like never calling upon his wolf side, it was a great use yes, but he can get in deep trouble with it too. Remembering his questions slinking back to his head made him look down with a sad gaze. He shook his head and the former hero climbed down the ladders and left his house, climbing down his last ladder to gently pat his faithful horse on the neck. "Ready for some herding today? Gotta make up for the time we didn't do it for so looks like we're gonna be working for a few days without a break. Though, let's not push ourselves so hard, alright?" He told the young mare as she got onto her hooves after ending up sleeping on the ground. "I'll have to see if I can make a small stable for you, no gate, don't worry. But at least something comfortable with hay and water that can last a day. Looks like Rusl was feeding you while I was out, huh?" Link smiled gratefully as the horse whinnied and nudged her owner.

The boy climbed onto his horse, then getting tapping her sides into a walk, taking them to the pasture.

After herding the goats in, he trotted Epona to the entrance of the barn to get off the horse and grab a pitchfork to mix the hay into the stalls of the goats. "Never fear, Linkie boy is here!" Link joked and threw the hay into the stalls, cleaning the pens and goats, and refilling water. After all that and the goats have drank and ate, they were let back out to the pasture to graze. He wouldn't be needed for herding them until dark and when the coyotes and wolves come out. Though, thinking about wolves made the boy's questions slither back to his mind. He shook his head and continued to work. Now in the afternoon, Link just remembered something, with a short gasp, he walked back to the village with Epona grazing in the pasture. He didn't want to make it seem like a huge hassle of just missing Rusl's request of getting a loaf of bread, but his stomach was just screaming for food. He jogged down to his home, and saying hello to the occasional villager.

Link made it to Rusl's home, slightly panting as Colin sat on the porch and smiled when his favorite hero arrived, "Link, your finally here!" He got up to greet him. The teen waved his hand slightly to him and slightly flinched at him giving a fast hug. Patting the boy gently on the head, and when he released, Uli came out to look at the boys, holding the one year old baby girl, who was born during his adventures after getting the master sword.

Uli gave a soft smile, "about time, Rusl was just about to go check on you at the ranch, he knew Fado was going to ask for help today. You have some work to catch up on." She reminded the teenager. Link nodded, then looked around.

"Where is he?" The former hero asked, tilting his head slightly.

Uli pointed to the entrance, "I think to the spring first, or probably your house to check if your in there first. Though he knew you would be at the ranch though, but he was just making sure." The boy nodded to her and turned around, "but before you go, take this bread. I can tell your hungry." She said lifting some bread as Link's stomach rumbled furiously and turned to slowly take the bread.

"Thanks for the bread, Uli. Your cooking is always the best. I'll go check, I've done some farm-work this morning so Fado won't need me until later this evening. See ya!" Link said, dashing off to the entrance. He knew Rusl wouldn't be in danger as the monsters have died down coming into Ordon.

After checking his home, he walked to the spring, touching the cooler walls along the way. The soft moss was comforting, with hard vines and the rugged tree trunks. Link made it to the spring, slightly tired from the dashing off and work. Rusl sat on a rock next to the spring, lifting his head slightly as he heard Link walk onto the sand.

"I thought you were still working?" Rusl asked, not turning his head but slightly smiled. Link nodded as he walked into the spring and sat in the water before Rusl. The older man watching the young boy come into sight and plopped into the water. He gave a small chuckle of amusement.

"I just finished actually. I left Epona to graze the good grasses there with the herd." He said, looking back at Rusl, then at the rocks in the spring. His eyes closing as he allowed the comfortable silence fill the air. It was gracious and quiet, he listened to the birds singing and chirping as they broke their silence with the song. "Hey, Rusl. Can I tell you something? Something... I should've shared very long ago.." He whispered, breaking the peaceful silence with his anxiety, his body shuddered at the questions rising in his mind. Will he accept me? Are they going to kick me out? Am I a monster? Aren't I disgusting? A monster is disgusting, always... The questions flooded his mind that he almost didn't hear Rusl walk into the water and sit next to him in the shallow water.

Rusl gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder, "Only if your ready or comfortable with telling me. Don't force it." The older man gave a reassuring smile as Link opened his eyes and looked at the man slightly with a concerned and anxious expression. His eyes unready and uncomfortable, though they held determination and responsibility.

Link breathed and let it go, turning his face away as Rusl looked at him with concern crossing his face. "Y-You remember how you were going to check on me? In the morning after I left to sleep in my home?"

Rusl nodded, "of course. Though, I didn't find you, where did you go?"

The teen shuddered again, concern and fear filling his body. "In this s-spring, lied a wolf, covered in bloodied wounds after fighting the stall-hounds. Do you remember that..?"

Rusl thought for a moment, then gasped, "Wait you saw the wolf in here? Did you leave that morning or something?"

Link shook his head, "I didn't even go past the spring. I was there in the spring when you walked in, Uli was behind you.."

"H-How did you know she showed up.." Rusl looked shocked, turning his body to face the boy better.

"I was him..." Link said, slightly whimpering under his breath, tears started to fill his eyes. "I was the beast that lied before you in that spring. Trying to protect the village, even after I just finished healing from the previous wounds and sickness... I-I.." His body shivered as he slowly took a stand, tears starting to run down his face. "I'm sorry.."

Rusl looked at him with a shocked and dumbfound face. "W-Wait, you're telling me.. That the beast was... you?" Rusl swiftly took a stand to place a hand on the boy's shoulder. Only to have Link flinch and sniffle. "Oh Link..." He murmured.

The former hero crossed his arms and grabbed each other. His body shuddered as Rusl pulled him to his chest, which startled Link with surprise.

Rusl shushed him softly, cooing to him, "It's alright. But why did you not say something sooner? Calm down a bit and speak to me, alright son?" Rusl said, patting him as Link rubbed his face into Rusl's arm, trembling in the father like man.

"I was a-afraid. What i-if you didn't accept me? Would I be kicked out of the village? Chased out of Hyrule? Be a monster, a freak? A-And-" Link was cut off by Rusl's cooing.

"Shh, its alright. No one would kick you out of here, you helped us and we raised you. We're family, we would never do that. And over something like this? I knew something was up but I didn't want to exactly confront you of anything. I knew you had anxiety ever since you came back from your adventures. So questioning you was, well, out of the question." Rusl whispered as he let go of the boy, Link turned around, wiping his tears away like a small kid would when he was terrified. "But, you aren't joking about being a wolf are you?"

Link shook his head, "I am part of it, it used to be a curse but..." He stopped as the bitter memories came back of the person he grew so attached to left him here, alone. But he lifted his head to look at Rusl, he didn't feel alone anymore, family is what is important now. This village is family to him.

So, Link explained it to Rusl, his adventure, the creatures he faced, injuries he had and finally, his closest friend that left him forever, Midna.

After the big explanation, Rusl sat back on the rock, kind of dazed. "I can't believe you had to take on all of that for the past year. It sounds terribly stressful. Young youth such as yourself shouldn't be having that much weight placed on one's shoulders. How did you manage that all?"

Link looked away, "I just did. I started off only to do it for the village then I saw everyone else in Hyrule and knew I had to do it for them. No glory, no honor, just the right thing. It's not needed when you just want to save the people you love." He shrugged, then sighed sitting on his bum in the spring. "It is a lot to handle but I still managed with the help of friends. Midna, in particular, she was a huge help. A-And I loved her, growing attached her to and broke my heart when she left." He replied looking away. "Hopefully one day, we'll meet again."

Rusl looked at the boy, he smiled at him being hopeful. It was nice, to see him being hopeful after a stressful explanation. Then he faced the facts. "Well, next its time to tell the village. And I can help with the story telling. If anyone fights back, I'll protect you." Rusl smiled then it soon turned into shock as Link engulfed himself into black, shifting into a wolf. Link turned to Rusl with a whine, but gave an appreciated look in his expressive eyes. He stood up and shook his fur, water flinging in all directions as Rusl laughed and shielded his face from the water and hair flying. "Heh, I didn't doubt ya when you spoke your words. You are honest like the sun with its sunlight, and the moon for the shimmering light of white in the face of night." Rusl smiled as Link tilted his head a little then walked over to him and nudged his knee with his wet nose. Soon enough to be placing his head on his lap. Link became engulfed in black again, when it disappeared and the human form of him sat his head and arms on Rusl's leg. Giving a soft and true smile to the adult.

"Thanks. It really, really, means a lot to me."
