AUTHORS NOTE: Hi all! I hope you enjoyed the first chapter, it may seem a bit short, but the more I write, the longer the chapters get. Happy reading!

CHAPTER TWO:

Scorpius had somehow managed to find it in his best interest, to come and crash with me during my study time. Merlin take the wheel, I might have to converse with him for the first time in five years.

'No, it's free, you're more than welcomed to take a seat, if you'd like' I give him direct eye contact as he stands in front of me, holding onto the chair.

'Cheers, is that your Charms Essay? How'd you go?' Scorpius eyes the paper as he slumps his bag down, and carelessly chucks his books on the table.

'Well, I'm in the middle of editing it, but I find it to be such a pain, honestly, it's like Professor Flitwick likes being a pain in the arse' I say chewing on my quill.

'I couldn't agree more, considering you are top of the class for charms, could you edit mine afterwards, see what I need to change' he says, his facial expressions tell me he's nervous, but I would be more than happy to.

'So you know I'm smarter than you in every class' I say this because I've been told on numerous occasions, that Scorpius has made it his sole mission, to beat me in every class.

'Now, don't get too ahead of yourself' he chuckles.

How did it be, that we went from being practical strangers to having a small laugh together? The universe has funny ways of putting people in each other's paths.

It started from there, for the past four Wednesdays, and counting onwards, Scorpius would meet me in the back of the library, where I would edit, well… make him rewrite most of his essays, and correct him on his god-awful grammar. It surprises me how he's managed to get such high marks despite the fact his grammar is as bad as my bless her- mothers flying.

The more time I spent with Scorpius, the more I found myself becoming more open to him. Mornings had now consisted of both Albus and Scorpius coming over to our table, Albus obsessing over Gracie, while Scorpius and I kept each other company, conversing about anything and everything. Whereas before, I suppose we both didn't think to give each other the time of day.

Soon, our somewhat casual friendship continued outside of breakfast and the library, taking it to the extent of even sitting outside together, in the courtyard, or sitting together in class. Before we both knew it, within the past four weeks we had been spending all our time together.

I found myself slowly becoming more and more attached to Scorpius, and being without him felt so weird, and empty.
