'Thoughts'

"You called, master?" Link bowed when he was in front of Demise.

"Yes I did. I heard you were in a fight." The demon king took in the blonde's appearance.

"I wasn't in a fight sir." He had no idea what he was talking about.

"Explain the bruises and cuts." He demanded.

"I was being punished." He said.

"Explain." He had made it clear that if the ex-hero needed to be punished they were to tell him or Ghirahim. They were the only ones allowed to and never would they have used such extreme methods.

"Lord Jekia ordered me to travel to Faron woods to get some tree sap. He wanted to make his wife some more of her skin cream." He explained.

"You aren't allowed out of the castle. You haven't earned it yet." The king said.

"That is what I told him. I was then punished for talking back, lying, and for not obeying. I tried to explain that it was by your orders that I remain in the castle and he punished me again for lying and talking back. Lady Nanea entered and he explained what was happening. She laughed and said they would know something like that since you would have said something to them considering you are engaged to their daughter." He told him.

"Repeat that last part one more time." He ordered.

Link bowed his head. "She said that you would have told them that I couldn't leave the castle because you are marrying their daughter."

"I see. Ghirahim!" He yelled.

The demon lord appeared in a flash of diamonds. "You called, master?"

"Bring Lord Jekia and Lady Nanea to me." He ordered. "Then send a healer to my rooms."

"Yes master." He bowed. 'Wonder what's going on.' He left the room.

"Link, I want you to go to my room and wait there." Demise ordered the worried and terrified blonde.

"Yes master." He bowed.

The blue eyed teen left . He was confused. He had thought he was going to be punished again. He wondered if that meant he wasn't and he was going to be healed. He shook his head as he entered Demise's room. He stood in the middle. He was uncertain and had no idea what to do. He waited patiently.

(With Ghirahim)

After he left his king he had gone to the rooms Lord Jekia and Lady Nanea used. It was temporary until their homes were rebuilt. The demon lord/sword never liked them. They thought they were better than him despite him having a higher rank than them. He just hoped they finally made a mistake and would lose their titles.

Once he was at their door he knocked. It didn't take them long to answer. They sneered when they saw who it was.

"What do you want?" Nanea sneered.

"King Demise wants to see you both." He told them.

"Oh." Jekia and his wife exchanged smug looks. "Let's go then." The two said.

Ghirahim barely refrained from rolling his eyes. He turned and began walking. The two followed. It didn't take them long to reach the throne room. He quickly entered before them.

"They are here master." He said.

"Good. Get the healer. I want you to stay with Link the whole time." He ordered.

"Yes master. May I know why?" He asked.

Demise gave him the quick version. The minute his king stopped talking the demon lord disappeared in a flash of diamonds. He wanted to get to the healer quickly. A few seconds later the two demons Demise requested to see entered the room. They looked very smug.

"You called sire?" Lord Jekia bowed.

"Tell me what happened with Link." He ordered.

"We already did." The man said.

"Don't take that tone with me." He glared at them.

"Sorry your highness." The demon looked down.

"We apologize." His wife said.

"I ordered slave Link to do something. He refused, lied, and tried to fight us." He wasn't stupid enough to tell the king he disobeyed orders and punished the little freak.

"What did you order him to do?" Demise asked.

"I needed tree sap from Faron wood. He told me that he couldn't and said that he wasn't allowed out of the castle because he didn't earn it." The man snorted.

"We would have known if that was true because you would have told us." Nanea chimed in.

"Link wasn't lying." He informed them.

They looked at their king in shock. "What?"

"Link is forbidden from leaving the castle without myself or Ghirahim being present. He hasn't earned it." He told them. "He is a rank three slave not a rank two."

"He wasn't lying?!" The two said in shock.

"No he wasn't." He glared.

"We didn't know that." Jekia protested.

"Everyone knows that a rank three slave can't leave the castle. He is wearing the uniform given to rank threes." He told them.

"Oh." They really had no idea what to say.

"Now did you punish him?" He asked.

"No. We defended ourselves." Nanea was quick to answer.

"Really? Odd. I talked to Link and then to Dya. She confirmed Link's story." She had come to him after he sent Link off so he knew the blonde wasn't lying.

"She's lying!" Jekia yelled.

"I don't believe she is. She has given me proof." He took out the whip.

The two paled when they spotted it. Their king glared at them. He couldn't believe they thought they could lie to him. They paled even further at his look.

"I made it clear that only Ghirahim and I were allowed to punish Link. No one else." He said.

"Why do you care about a human?" Lady Nanea demanded.

"Excuse me?!" The demon king couldn't believe she was demanding answers from him. 'I am her king. Who does she think she is?!'

"She doesn't mean to disrespect you, my king!" Her husband was quick to defend her.

"We need answers!" She yelled.

"Silence!" He bellowed as he stood to his full height. "Where do you get off demanding your king for answers?"

"You're marrying our daughter!" She said as she forced herself not to cower.

"No I'm not." He told them. "What made you think that?" He asked.

"Fyma is the most obvious choice. Not only is she extremely beautiful, intelligent, and powerful but she will make a wonderful queen. She is the one you hand picked to be the captain of your army." Nanea told him.

"That has nothing to do with wanting her that way. I picked her to be captain because of her skills and experience." Demise told them

"But-"

The demon king wasn't going to allow her to continue to talk. "But nothing. You made an assumption and allowed it to give you a big head. Now both of you have broken rules that I set. You have now been stripped of your titles and are hereby made rank three slaves." He told them.

The two stared at them in shock. Due to their families they had been high ranking lords and ladies. They were actually the highest ranking. Ghirahim was of a higher rank due to him being their king's sword. Now they would have to work with humans and do as they're told. Oh how they will begin to wish they never pissed off so many demons.

"Dya you are promoted to rank one slave. Make sure to go to the head slave for your new duties." He told the human.

"Yes my king. Thank you." She bowed and left.

"Aesthetic, I want you to escort these two slaves to the head slave." He ordered.

"Yes sir." He bowed.

The demon guard escorted the two out of the room. Demise took a few deep breaths to calm his temper. He then left to go check on his slave.
