Voldemort stood in the dining room of the Malfoy home, he laughed with glee and the finalisation of his plans and how easy Potter had made himself accessible the night that turned from May the 1st to May the 2nd. Bellatrix Lestrange grinned alongside him, she fed off the danger, power and dark energy that dripped from his pours. She relished the lust that radiated from her pelvis and made her most personal area ache but was equally frustrated that he would not give in to her intimate pleas.

Voldemort had called for his followers' attention; the time had come for them to storm the Hogwarts castle to claim Harry Potter with death, the Deatheaters throughout the land felt their forearms scorch with the beckoning to their cause. Potter remained a threat to their leader and the prophecy had to be fulfilled and the time was opportune as they outnumbered the occupants of the castle 10-1. They walked towards Hogwarts like a herd of buffalo, Voldemort their leader stood out in front and commanded their attack on the seemingly defenceless school.

The Malfoy family were instructed to stay at the Manor and only Lucius was wise as to why; to keep guard of Aurelia Lestrange and the heir to Voldemort that needed to be kept safe from the impending climax of their plans. Upstairs in his quarters Draco paced back and forth, he had no clue that Aurelia was just a few floors beneath him, and his mind hurried about grasping the courage to leave his home and enter his school to complete his task. He flipped like a light switch between ready to leave and ready to collapse and accept his failure. He felt like there was a snake that coiled in his stomach that was slowly squeezing the air from his lungs.

Outside of Hogwarts Voldemort and his followers laid a heavy onslaught of destructive spells against a protective dome that had been cast over the castle since The Dark Lord gave warning that an ambush was coming. Bellatrix Lestrange stood just a metre away from Voldemort, and as she watched his joy unfold, her eyes were ablaze with her own delight. She cackled with glee at the destruction they were causing and for the anticipation for what they would do once through the barrier. Voldemort was so close to sealing his destiny and fulfilling the prophecy which stated neither can live while the other survives, although he knew that the historically preserved parts of his soul were being disposed of, he could taste the glory of his current success, he just had one more thing to do. Kill Harry Potter.

The tirade on Hogwarts was gaining momentum and though the occupants of the school did their best to uphold the defences, they began to weaken. The ground thundered beneath The Dark Lord with the power he displayed but almost as sudden as his attack started, he was unexpectedly halted. Pain coursed through his nerves and he was left weakened, exhausted and angry.

As the pain subsided, he then realised yet another piece of his plan had been destroyed, another reserved soul was gone. The curse that then came from The Elder Wand that Voldemort held clutched in his hand erupted with fury laced with fear and the protective dome around the school exploded under the pressure of his rage. Bellatrix whom stood behind the man watched in awe and cackled with glee, she dripped with lust for such a dangerous and powerful Man. But after his curse was complete Voldemort was even more damaged, he breathed air to his lungs with ravenous hunger, he quickly realised he was yet another option short of immortality. The ravenous followers then scurried forward and invaded Hogwarts, leaving terror, violence and bloodshed in their wake.

Back at Malfoy Manor Lucius and Narcissa were in silence. Mr Malfoy's hands trembled which caused the ice in his large glass of whiskey to chink against the thick sides of the glass, he was in distress and paced the width of the dining hall back and forth while Mrs Malfoy who was stood calmly and silently hoped their plight would soon be over, her head quickly flashed to the door as she heard a loud clap from the hallway outside. She seethed at her husband, she knew her son had left to fulfil his duties and it was at that moment or never. She had heard her son sob many nights when he was at the Manor about the many and seemingly random things that plagued his mind, he had even begged for information on the disappearance of Aurelia, after all, they had been raised as siblings. Narcissa's thoughts turned to the girl.

"What is the reason we are to stay behind...Draco has gone, our son has gone to the fight as we stay here!" She spoke in a hushed but manic tone.

Mr Malfoy stopped mid pace, his leather shoes slid slightly on the wooden floor, his hand gripped his glass tighter and his teeth clenched.

"Wife...you know why we are here" he whispered harshly.

"Where is the girl then?!" Mrs Malfoy replied; she knew her husband knew where she was. "If I am forced to relinquish the safety of my son. I want to see her, know she is actually here." Narcissa demanded. Suspicious of her husband once more.

To which Lucius turned and looked as his spouse, she was as composed as ever while he felt like his world was unravelling. "Our son" he stated through his stained teeth and hateful tired eyes. He knew she quizzed his every move; knew she did not trust him. Lucius inwardly questioned if he should choose that moment to release Aurelia from her Imperious Curse. He thought for sure that she would have lost her own mind and freewill after being under his influence for longer than 6 months. He was so very tired and mentally drained that he could easily have given up there and then. But he couldn't, the risk of accusation and prosecution was all too high.

He turned and with large strides of his legs, took to the back of the room, descended the set of stairs heavily and reappeared moments later with Aurelia ushered in his arms, she wore a floor length white night gown and her hair cascaded in curly black frizz. Narcissa watched and gasped in shock for had she had known Aurelia was only a few feet beneath where she walked daily, she would have acted differently. Narcissa looked at every inch of the girl and flinched, salty tears burned her eyes. She observed Aurelia further; she was so small, still so much like a child. Mrs Malfoy looked over the girl's body starting at her face as she slowly stepped towards the girl. Dark circles sat around Aurelia's eyes, her cheeks were gaunt as was the rest of her body, except that her large stomach protruded from her like it had been stuck on as an accessory. Narcissa even made note of the girl's bare feet that were pale and skeletal. Mrs Malfoy continued to walk forward; she couldn't remove her glossy eyes from Aurelia. Lucius hung his head in shame, he could no longer produce convincing behaviour in the girl. His mental strength was at its very weakest, he watched with bated breath for his wife to notice the girls glazed eyes. But Aurelia just held her eyes to the floor, they could not be seen without an even closer examination.
