Chapter One – The Start of the Adventure

A/N This is the first, actually, a chapter of JAMES POTTER AND THE MARAUDERS

This will chapter will be in James Potter's point of view, him before he heads out to the Hogwarts express

I jumped out of my Gryffindor themed bed, straightened up my bedsheets and got dressed. I grabbed my favorite Quidditch shirt and put my gold and a scarlet sweatshirt over it. I put on a pair of jeans and ran straight out of my room. You may be wondering, why does this dude have Gryffindor themed stuff if he isn't even sorted yet? Well, there's no chance I wouldn't get Gryffindor. Every Potter that's ever lived was a Gryffindor. Today, I was starting at Hogwarts – School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I've been waiting for this day since my mum told me I was a wizard. That was when I was 5 years old.

Flashback starts

"James! We need to talk to you!" James' mom called.

"OK! IM COMING MUMMY!" 5-year-old James yelled.

He walked into the living room excitedly.

"Sit down, please!" she said.

Younger James sat down on the couch. "Ok, what is it," he said.

"Well James, you're a wizard." James' eyes glowed "REALLY?!"

Flashback ends

I ran down the long, quarts, spiral staircase that led straight to the large kitchen of Potter Manor. There was a long wooden table covered with food. It looked like my parents had already eaten. One of the Potter house elves walked over to me, and said: "Would you like anything to eat, Master James?" "Yes, I would, thanks to Maddy" She snapped her fingers and was gone.

One hour later

"James! We're ready to head to King Cross Station!" Mum yelled. "Ok! I'm coming!" I yelled. I threw a bunch of shirts, pants, and robes into my trunk, plus my class textbooks. I closed my trunk and ran out my door and caught up with my parents. "Let's go," I said. We headed to the fireplace, and Mum handed a handful of Floo Powder. I walked into the fireplace, holding the Floo Powder out nervously. I never liked the feeling of Floo Powder. I yelled "KINGS CROSS!"

At Kings Cross

"Where is it again?" I asked. "Right between 9 and 10 of course!" Dad said. I looked between them and said, "There's nothing there." My Dad spoke "You have to run straight through, don't be nervous" I held my hands on my cart and ran forward into the wall.

I excepted an impact but opened my eyes to see a sign saying, "Nine and three quarters" and "Hogwarts Express" I looked over and saw the train. Mum came through the wall and said to me "Good luck, sweetie." "Thanks, Mum" I replied. My dad came through and then said, "Don't get yourself in to do much trouble." "I'll try," I said laughing. I went and got onto the train, wondering what if happens next.
