(Hello. My name is Megatyranno3 odd user-name I know. But, I have a reason for the name. My favorite prehistoric animals are the megalodon a giant prehistoric shark and the tyrannosaurs rex. The number three is my lucky number. Anyway; I've read stories on this site and figured I'd try my hand at it. So here is my first attempt at a story and I figured. Why not try a legend of spyro crossover with transformers. I don't know how this train wreck is going to turn out; I'm just doing this for fun. And, I've read up on the rules. I don't own anything from Spyro or transformers.)

The universe a never ending of expanse of unlimited wonder. An expanse of stars, planets, supernovas, black-holes, comets, meteorites, solar systems being born, while others fade away. Only to have what remains be reborn into new. It is chaos and harmony at its' finest. Insanity yet everything is sane. Nothing makes sense yet it makes sense. The goodness of light, creation of new lives, never ending wonder. Yet, the evil of the end, destruction of all, death. The universe both alpha and omega. The beginning and the end. A balance that has been like this for countless eons. A balance that would soon be thrown off.

A meteorite streaked its way through the open void of space. Fire danced around its body made of both stone and metal. The flames were blue fading into white; the fire was intense but the meteor was holding. It's body glowing from the intense heat of the flames. It was then in the path of the space debris. A planet as blue as the ocean appeared. The planet seemed mostly covered by water; but, there were signs of great land masses. And, there were clouds floating just above the oceans and land. The meteor continued flying through the void; eventually entering the planets atmosphere. The fire grew more intense. Now instead of blue fading into white; it was pure white flames that engulfed its body. Slowly the rock began to break and burn away. But, underneath the rock was revealed to be more metal.

Down on the planet below a single ape sat in front of a small fire. A large scar was over his right eye. And, his left arm was only a stub; possibly taken in battle. He gazed into the fire for a while before he reached for his side. He then brought out a small bag and sat it in front of him. He opened it and reached in; only to pull out some type of strange powder.

The ape spoke, "Oh great Gaul. Great leader of the apes; hear my call," His voice was low and sounded rough. He then threw the powder into the fire; sending it into a mighty flurry of flames, "Oh great ape; taken from us by the murderer Spyro. Reveal to me a sign of your return," he watched as smoke rose into the air above the fire. The smoke dance about in the wind; it had no consciousness, no design to its movements. But, the ape saw figures moving in the flame. The ape Gaul battling the murderer Spyro. "Many moons have passed; the apes have returned. And, all of us are ready to destroy the dragons," He stood up and yelled "OH MIGHTY GAUL GIVE US A SIGN!"

He was given an answer in the form of a massive light which illuminated the night sky. The ape gazed up at it in wonder. Only to yell in fright when he realized the fireball was heading right for him. He ran as fast as his legs could carry him. Only to be launched into the air when the fireball collided with the earth. He landed hard on the ground and skidded a few feet before coming to a stop. The ape breathed heavily; while keeping his head covered. All he heard was a loud ringing sound; while burnt dust filled his throat and lungs. Slowly, his eyes opened allowing him to see a strange blue light. But, it vanished before his eyes fully opened. He coughed some of the dirt out of his lungs; while he slowly managed to get to his feet. Cautiously he walked over to the creator his mind wondering if this was a sign.

He called out, "Mighty Gaul?"

Smoke was all that he saw at first; until a great shadow appeared. The shadow was in the form of a large dragon. Which caused the ape to start moving backwards away from it. It was then it felt fear enter it's very soul. For it saw not one, not two, but three sets of glowing red eyes. All three sets glared down at him. As he released a scream of complete fear; before it was over taken by a screeching roar.

The sun slowly ascended into the sky; it warm light stretching over the cooled land. It rays stretched over many forests, lakes, small villages. But, then its ray began to stretch over a mighty city. A city that was large and surrounded by a great wall. As the sun continued to rise; it's light eventually found it's way through a small opening in a window. The light stretched down onto a stone floor; it moved across the floor and eventually reached a bed. It then climbed up the bed and soon made contact with purple scales. A low groan echoed through the room as something moved beneath atop the bed. A small figure slowly stood up; it was a dragon with purple scales. The dragon stretched its body and slowly walked to the window. Once close enough it stood up on it's hind-legs and opened it. It allowed the dragon to feel the full warmth of the suns rays. The dragons name was Spyro; the legendary purple dragon.

He sighed as he felt the suns warm rays on his cool scales. He spoke, "Another beautiful day." He then watched as the city slowly became alive.

Four years ago he and Cynder had stopped the complete destruction of the planet. Four years ago they had defeated Malefor. Four years ago they had lost Ignitus. He sighed sadly at the memory of losing not only his teacher. But, a dragon who was practically a father figure to him. After letting himself get warmed up he walked to the door to his room. Gently he pushed on the door and opened it; allowing him to walk out into a large hallway. In the halls he already began to see other dragons around his age. Some were talking to others; while more than a few were heading to the mess hall. Spyro began to walk down the hallway; greeting each dragon that passed and greeted him. As he walked down the hall he felt something step on his tail. He turned and saw what was keeping him from walking. A pink dragoness who was starting to annoy him.

Spyro growled in annoyance "Ember, please get off my tail."

He heard her giggle in response before she replied, "Good morning to you too grumpy," she laughed before walking up and gently nuzzling his side, "Would you like to get some breakfast with me, love?"

He quickly backed away from her, "Again, Ember, I am not your love, boyfriend, mate, I am your nothing. We're friends that's it." He then walked away from her; hearing her sigh in a dream like state. As he moved away from her and continued walking down the hall.

As he walked he came to a part of the temple that seemed almost deserted. It was void of any dragons in it's halls. Only one dragon stayed in this part of the temple. Only one certain dragoness lived in this part; the dragoness Cynder. Slowly he walked up to the door of her room and gently knocked on it. Just seconds later the door opened; and before him stood Cynder.

She smiled before she greeted him, "Good morning, Spyro."

He replied, "Good morning, Cynder."

She walked out of her room and the two walked back together side by side. Cynder enjoyed their small walks in the morning. Sometimes the two would go get breakfast together. But, today they had too see Volteer early. Yesterday, the electric guardian had told the two to speak with him early today. They weren't sure what he needed them to do. But, she secretly hoped it wasn't something to important. After all today was important for both of them. A few months after the defeat of Malefor; Cynder eventually worked up the courage to tell Spyro how she felt about him. She almost though she was dreaming when he replied that he cared deeply about her as well. Since then the two had kept their new-found relationship a secret from others. A decision that Spyro sometimes regretted.

As they eventually reached a rather crowded part of the temple. Cynder, could feel some hateful glares from other dragonesses. She knew more than a few had their eyes on Spyro. But, most of them were attracted to him for his status. "The legendary purple dragon", a status the young drake often wished he never acquired. Although, Cynder saw many females who would love to have him as a trophy. She didn't know about the various males that were after his title. Throughout most of the week Spyro would receive various spar and battle requests from various males. Some were other guardians who wondered if the purple dragon; could truly use the four elements. While others were young males who simply wanted to prove they could beat him. Although it kept him trained for combat it was starting to grow increasingly annoying with every passing week. Spyro sighed to himself he couldn't understand any of this. Why was there still fighting? The war was over; sure they had to deal with small bands of apes every now and then. But, the apes were barely a threat anymore. So why were so many males bent on defeating him in battle.

He looked at Cynder and he couldn't help but smile. Even though everything seemed so confusing. She seemed to some how make everything make sense. After passing a few more dragons and rooms. They eventually found themselves at Volteer's door; Spyro knocked on the door. And, after a few seconds they were given permission to enter. When the two entered they were greeted with the sight of a room. That looked more like a science lab rather than a room. There they saw the electric guardian studying a scroll.

Volteer looked up, smiled, and then greeted, "Ah, Spyro, Cynder, thank you for coming by so early. I apologize for making you both see me so early. But, I have a task that I need dire assistance with." He finished.

Cynder asked, "What is it that you need, Volteer?"

He answered, "I received a report of some moles and manweresmalls discovering a new tunnel system yesterday. They said they found more than a few scrolls and stone tables from before Warfang was built. If both of you can retrieve them for me; I would greatly appreciate it." The two nodded the moment he finished.

He smiled and told them where to go and the two started for the exit of the temple. The moment they exited the temple; they were greeted with a sight of many dragons flying about. The temple was located in the middle of Warfang. Serving as both a school for the young to learn and housing for those who are guardians and those who lost families and homes during the war. The two then spread their wings and took flight. Heading in the direction of the mountain range. The two flew above and away from the massive city.

The sight of the surrounding woods was a rather peaceful one. It put both dragons minds at ease as they flew across the warm sky. The scales were warmed by the sun; while the wind cooled them. As they flew something below watched them. It was then Cynder caught sight of something rapidly approaching her. But, she was unable to react and soon found her self wrapped up in a bola. She fell out of the sky and towards the ground.

Spyro shouted, "Cynder!" he immediately dived down after her. Watching as she tried to use her tail blade to cut the rope around her.

Cynder did manage to free herself; but she was too late to stop her fall. She watched as the ground got closer and closer. Closing her eyes and bracing herself for impact. Which thankfully never came. For, Spyro had managed to catch her. The moment he touched down on the ground; he gently set her down. She breathed deeply a couple of times to steady herself. Before they could fully regain themselves. They could hear something approaching from the woods around them. Whatever it was it was big. The two steadied themselves and got into battle positions. Eventually, though the two came face to faces with a three headed dragon. The two were shocked they never saw a dragon like that. It was about the size of Terrador. And, it appeared to be wearing armor. The armor it wore was as black as night; fading into a dark chrome color. It's wings looked almost like individual blades. There was a strange blue symbol carved into the center of the armors chest plate. Both of them felt a chill run down their spines; the symbol itself looked evil. But, what really chilled them more were the dragons eyes. Yes, the eyes all three sets were dark crimson red. There was a rather prolonged silence between them. Both young dragons staring back at a dragon who seemed to radiate with power.

Spyro broke the silence and asked, "Who are?" he was interrupted by the dragon head on the right attacking him. Its mouth opened and launched an elemental attack that Spyro did not recognize. The attack burned like fire as it struck the ground in front of him. But, it had the force of an earth element. For, it had launched both of them backwards and into two large trees. Both of them groaned in pain as they tried to get up.

It was then Cynder tackled Spyro just as the dragon charged forward and seemed to disappear into the woods. But, in a flash the trees that they had been tossed into; along with the trees behind them. Suddenly splintered and feel; revealing the dragon standing just on the other side. The dragon had managed to level a good section of woods. It started to turn to face the two again.

Cynder quickly helped Spyro up before saying, "We need to run!"

The two then began to run as fast as their legs could carry them. The dragon watched as they ran before it began to follow them. Spyro and Cynder sprinted through the woods at speeds even they didn't know they could achieve. Their hearts were pumping, lungs were burning, and their minds were filled with fear. Whoever that dragon was; they knew they stood no match against it. A tree in front of them suddenly exploded and fell in their path. Both of them jumped over the tree and continued running. Dodging a seeming endless stream of attacks. After a few minutes the attacks stopped; making both of them wonder if the dragon had finally given up its pursuit. Their question was answered in the form of a giant ball of energy rapidly approaching them. It hit both of them hard and launched them into another clearing. Both of them coughed and gasped for air as pain surged through their bodies.

Spyro opened his eyes and saw Cynder lying a few feet away from him. He began to crawl to her; calling out her name, "Cynder."

He then heard the footsteps of the other dragon. He looked as the dragon slowly approached them. He began to crawl faster towards her; reaching her just as the dragon stopped in front of them. He placed his body in front of her; hoping he could protect her from this monsters next attack. He glared up at the dragon; who stared coldly at him.

The dragon then spoke, "If this is the best this planet has to offer," his voice was cold and deep almost dripping with evil. His left and right hand began to charge another attack, "Then conquering this world will be far too easy."

Spyro quickly pressed himself closer to Cynder; hoping that through this pathetic defense of his. She would survive and be able to get the guardians for help. While she silently begged for the ancestors to help them.

"Hold it right there, Megatron!"

The dragon looked up in the direction of the voice and growled loudly. Both Spyro and Cynder following his gaze. What they saw neither of them could believe. Across the field stood a dragon in crimson red armor. The armor appeared to shine like fire; it even had etched details of flames on the armor it wore. The dragons wings shined like metal also. But, it's wings looked more like a shield. But, what got Cynders' attention was the symbol that it had etched onto its chest plate. It was a red symbol; at first she thought it resembled the other dragons symbol. But, the moment her eyes saw it. She didn't feel scared. Instead, that symbol filled her with a sense of protection. But, for Spyro he was at a lose for words. The dragon he looked exactly like. It couldn't be; it was impossible. But, there he was standing just a few feet away.

Spyro spoke in pure shock, "Ignitus?"

The dragon in front of them shouted, "Rodimus Prime!" before it charged at the other dragon. Locking both of them into talon to talon combat.

Spyro stood up and shouted, "Ignitus, no!" He then sprinted towards the two.

Cynder cried out to him, "No, Spyro stay away!" But her cry fell on deaf ears.

Spyro was only focused on saving his teacher no matter how high the cost. For years he though of his mentor and friend dead. But, now seeing him standing there. Alive and well; only to watch as he fought for his life. The young drake had last many things in his life. He wasn't about to lose Ignitus not again.

Megatron delivered a hard tail swipe to Rodimus' backside. But, the attack was blocked by Rodimus' wing. Rodimus then countered with a hard charge forward; forcing Megatron onto his ind legs. He then shot three energy blasts into his chest making him back up more. Megatron fought back with energy blasts of his own. He fired three of them the first one had missed Rodimus. But, the other two had struck him. One in his chest and the other in his right leg. A fire ball then struck the face of Megatron.

Spyro shouted, "Leave him alone!"

Rodimus yelled, "Get out of the way!"

But, it was too late for Megatron had fire another energy round. Spyro was stunned by the shock of the sudden attack. But, thankfully Rodimus was able to defended him with his body. The blast itself didn't hurt him. But, it did knock him off balance causing him to fall just behind Spyro.

Spyro shouted, "Ignitus, no!" tears fell from his eyes as memories of that horrible event entered his mind. Watching as his mentor was burned alive in the ring of fire. He could hear the dragon laughing wickedly.

He then spoke in a mocking tone of voice, "One shall stand and one shall fall," He then began to charge up another attack, "Die, Prime."

"NO!"

Out of no where Megatron was pushed back by a massive fire attack. He groaned a little as he felt a small amount of pain in his wings. When the flames stopped; he looked and saw the purple dragon he had been hunting. It seemed to be glowing with power; it's glare menacing. He could even hear a threatening growl come from it. It intrigued him earlier this pathetic creatures attacks barely touched him. But, now it's attacks seemed to have a little more power behind them.

He flashed a wicked smile before he spoke, "Another time, autobot." A bright flash of blue light appeared behind him. Blinding the three for a moment; when it dimmed they saw the other dragon was gone. Spyro took in a few deep breaths before he slowly turned around. He watched as Ignitus slowly got up. He began to walk over to him his expression seemed calm and contained.

Rodimus looked at the young creature approaching him, "Are you alri-?" He was interrupted as the creature suddenly ran up and gently nuzzled his left leg.

He looked down watching as the creature pressed itself against him. Watching as it suddenly started to cry. His optics zoomed in on the tears; they didn't seemed to be that of sadness. But, those of complete joy. He noticed the other creature approaching them; it had tears of joy too.

"Ignitus."

Rodimus looked down the moment the name was spoke. It didn't sound anything like his name; meaning the creature must have had him confused with another. Silently he sighed in sadness; this creature. Which he quickly scanned and discovered to be a dragon. Was happy and he unfortunately had to tell him the truth. A truth that would hurt the young drake emotionally.

Rodimus apologized, "I'm sorry," He watched as the purple dragon looked up at him and slowly backed away, "But, my name is not Ignitus."

The two before him suddenly watched in amazement as they heard a strange sound echo through the air. Before them the dragon stood up on it's hind legs. It's form and shape began to change right before them. It's wings locked together and turned upside down on it's back. While it's hind-legs some how unfolded and extended into large metallic pillars. Neither of them could believe what they were seeing. But, the dragon before them was transforming into another creature. When it was done the creature knelled and looked down at both of them.

Rodimus spoke, "My name is Rodimus prime. Leader of the autobots."

Spyro felt himself getting dizzy and soon even his own feet couldn't hold him up. As he fell to the ground and his mind began to sleep. He could hear Cynder call out his name. Before feeling a very gentle touch on his body.

(Okay this is the end of the first chapter. I hope I did good and yes I know technically Hot rod is not the leader of the autobots. But, in generation one after the movie he became a prime and became the leader. Hot rod/Rodimus prime is my favorite character. My other favorite is Optimus prime. Other than that I hope this story is good so far.)
