Flashback (18 years ago)

"Mama, I'm so bored, when will I finally get a sibling to play with?" Small Seokjin, 5 years old, lay on his mother's lap on the soft king sized bed that his parents shared with him. Chuckling, Seokjin's mother ruffled her son's hair as the birds in the background chirped and flew around.

Seokjin and his parents lived in the country side where there are not much cars, tall buildings and of course, people. Last time a few years back before Seokjin was born, everybody thought that the city side of Korea (basically when they try to adopt the lifestyle of other people) was too complicated for them and that there were no peace and quiet to enjoy some gardening or drawing. However, now, everybody was moving there, leaving the country side. Now, only a few thousand people were still living in the country side.

The old were increasing, the young were decreasing. There were only about a few hundred students in Seokjin's school. As Seokjin's father was a successful businessman in the city of Seoul, he only comes back on the weekends and holidays to provide his wife and son with money to buy food, and clothes. Sometimes, he would also buy souvenirs for his family. They were one loving family and also one of the richest ones in Asia, hence Seokjin lives with his mother in a mansion in the country.

If they are so rich, why can't they just move to Seoul? Well, it was not that easy. As there were more and more old people, Seokjin's mother decided to help them, by building more clinics, houses and providing more food to make everybody happy. The government only planned to expand their city area. Soon, the countryside would be gone. Luckily, Seokjin's mother was married to one of the most successful businessman in Asia working for the government so she at least stands a chance to save and restore the countryside.

One day, Seokjin was playing with his dolls in his garden with his dollhouse when a loud deafening car honk rang off, making his dolls topple from the rooftop of the dollhouse where he was trying to stack them there. Leaping up to his feet and ignoring the servants' orders to stop running, Seokjin ran towards the clear, full-glass windows and opening up the curtains, he saw a red Lamborghini pulling over outside the empty mansion beside his house. It's been a while since the countryside ever had any new people going there.

"My Jinnie baby, what are you doing? Bea, is that new neighbors?" Seokjin's mother carried Seokjin playfully as she asked one of the servants. Nodding her head nervously, Bea the servant went to open the door for them, knowing that Seokjin's mother would welcome them. Smiling warmly with her cute smile at Bea, she walked off to greet the neighbors.

(Pls pretend that Jungkook is Seokjin and that they are wearing different clothes )

"Good morning, Sir and Ma'am. It's a pleasure to meet new neighbors, especially nowadays when youngsters are moving to the city." Seokjin's mother bowed at a man and woman.

(Pls don't attack me for this )

"Good morning. It's a lovely morning isn't it? You're the lady so-called in charge here right? I'm Kim Namjin, this is my wife, Baek Eun-Sik. She's half American half Korean so you can call her by her simple English name, Mari." The man spoke, smiling brightly while servants from the mansion that Seokjin's mother didn't knew were there ran out and opened the car back car door, allowing a young boy who looked exactly like his handsome father to run out with his bucket of toys.

"Eomma! Dada! Is this our new house! I love it so much! How long are we going to stay here?" The young boy blurted out with bright energy bursting out of his dimples. Seokjin gasped loudly as he looked away, blushing. Seokjin's mother looked at her own son and then where her son was looking before letting out her famous windshield wiper laugh.

"Oh, I'm s-sorry, Mr Kim and Madam Baek, but your son's pants..." Seokjin's mother tried to stifle a smile. Looking at their son's pants, Mr Kim (I'll just continue to use this name for the boy's father) and Mari screamed in horror as they saw their son's baggy and oversized jeans dropping down, to reveal his blue underwear and um... .

Oblivious to his jeans, the little boy was still running around the entrance with the servants running after him, shouting at him to put on his jeans. "Yah! KIM NAMJOON! YOU COME BACK HERE THIS INSTANCE! YOUR JEANS DROPPED!" Mr Kim ordered Namjoon. Giggling to himself, Seokjin mumbled the name 'Namjoon'. What a handsome name he thought.

(4 years later) [Jin is nine]

After four years, Seokjin became best friends with Namjoon. They went to the same school, same class, same toilet even, they did everything together. Pranking teachers, going to detention, you name it. However, happiness always has an end...

(3 years later) [Jin is twelve]

"Yah! Joonie, where are you going without me?" A playful boy howled for his best friend, clutching his bag with right hand. Namjoon showed Seokjin a crooked smile before turning around and continuing his way back home.

Seokjin frowned and pouted, stopping at the school gate. "Hey! Joonie? Where are you going? Your car is coming any moment!" Seokjin shouted at the other end of the road. Without stopping, Namjoon replied back with no energy, "Go without me. I'm walking back home..." Now that was certainly peculiar. Namjoon never walked home. He and Seokjin would always let their personal drivers drive them back home. Besides, it would take at least twenty minutes to walk back to their home. However, no way was Seokjin going to let his best friend walk back home with a sad gloomy face.

"Wait for me! I'm coming!!!"

Namjoon finally stopped in his tracks and waited for his small friend to keep up with him. "Yah! You look so- Eeeeee!!" Seokjin pulled back his chin, stifling a gasp. His best friend's face was white and his eyelid were drooping. There were large black eye bags under his black eyes. Never in his life has Seokjin ever been so afraid of Namjoon. Namjoon looks like a walking zombie!

Seokjin recalled that during first and second period, they had health education and gym together and the teacher had placed them in different pairs so something probably happened there. The rest of the day after the first two periods was just History, their local language, mathematics, Art and of course, the worst, English. Namjoon probably slept through Art. Art wasn't his type of thing. Anyway, after the first two periods, Namjoon stopped talking to him and ignored him, making Seokjin wonder what he had done wrong.

"I look hideous, right?" Namjoon asked Seokjin in a dull voice which nearly droned Seokjin off to sleep. Stifling a yawn, Seokjin didn't say anything but instead hugged Namjoon from behind.

"Hey. Jinnie?" There was a tone of shock and surprise mixed in Namjoon's words.

"Yes, Joonie?"

Namjoon let out a small chuckle."Your heart, it's racing."

Gasping loudly, Seokjin turned bright red as he let go of a laughing Namjoon and tried to cook up an excuse.

"I- I-I just r-ran over-over to you! Of-of co-course I would b-be panting!" Seokjin snapped, frowning at Namjoon. Great thing he was a great actor. Or else he would be humiliated by his own best friend for just having a tiny crush on him. Kim Namjoon was not gay for sure...

Hearing what Seokjin said, Namjoon's cheeky grin fell and gloominess overwhelmed his face. "Oh... I see... Let's go then..." Namjoon mumbled to himself. He bit his lip tightly in attempt to hide any sound that wanted to escape from his mouth. Looking at what he had done, Seokjin was steeped in guilt. He bitterly regretted whatever he had said. However, life still has to continue...

(2 days later)

The bell of the Kims' mansion rang several times before it was cut off by a shout. "Yah! Stop ringing the bell! They aren't there anymore, kid." The old cleaner that Seokjin and Namjoon always played pranks on shouted as he came onto the doorstep of the mansion and started sweeping onto Seokjin's legs.

Feeling a mix of anxiety and annoyance, Seokjin retorted, "Hey! You're not supposed to be here! This is private property! And what do you mean by they're not there anymore?!" The old cleaner glared at Seokjin with his sore eyes and gritted his teeth, "Oh. They didn't tell you? Well, Mrs Mari Kim didn't like you in the first place anyway..." Now Seokjin was getting impatient.

"Yah! What are you talking about?! Answer me!"

The old cleaner threw his broom onto the floor with a furious look and cornering Seokjin onto the door, he spat onto his face with his harsh words.

"Kim Namjoon and his family has moved to the city area I guess, just last night. Mr Kim never even wanted to be here, in this place for peasants. Now move kid. I got some cleaning to do."

The old cleaner's words hit Seokjin like a runway train. His best friend and crush had just packed his bags and moved to the city without telling him in the middle of the night? What kind of betrayal is this? He thought that they were close. Seokjin dashed back into his mansion where Bea greeted him kindly. Greeting her back politely with a fake smile, he went upstairs to his cozy room where he shut the door. A flood of tears gushed down his ashen face as the sound of wailing and suffering echoed throughout the house.

(6 years later) [Jin is nineteen in College and has moved to the city while his mother is still in the country]

"Oppa, will you please be my boyfriend? I really liked you since the day Ji-wo introduced me to you!" A high-pitched voice squealed in Seokjin's ear as he carried the stack of books down the stairs. Nearly dropping whatever he has, he turned around to face the most prettiest girl in the school. Lee Areum.

Seokjin stuttered with his heart pounding against his rib cage, "I- Okay... Yes of course... A-Areum..." She giggles uncontrollably, "I love how you stutter with me, Oppa..." Seokjin smiled back at his new girlfriend as he can't help but think about his childhood crush, Namjoon.

Where is he now? How is he? I hope he's fine. Seokjin sighed as Areum offered to carry the books. By then, a small crowd has formed around them and were chanting out, "Seok-reum, Seok-reum!" Areum's face turned a deep shade of red as she apologized and bowed to her fellow suitors.

The next day as Jimin and Seokjin walked to College, Jimin shouted in his ear in anger, "Yah! Why did you accept that bi- Areum? You remembered that she used to make fun of me for my small size!"

"Sorry..." Seokjin mumbled guiltily. "I didn't want to hurt her feelings..."

Jimin rolled his eyes, "Yeah but that bastard doesn't even have feelings! One day she's going to hurt you. I have a feeling in my guts."

"Who doesn't have feelings, Jimin-ssi?" Areum hugged Seokjin from behind, startling both men. Seokjin laughed sarcastically as he glared at Jimin, "Oh, nobody. We're just talking about the character in the new movie." He wondered how Areum got his address as they were at the bus stop near Seokjin's house (Areum lives in a bungalow.) Before walking off to give the new couple some 'space', Jimin mouthed out the word to Seokjin, 'Stalker'. Seokjin huffed as he pecked Areum on her cheek to make Jimin even more angry.

(2 months later)

It was late at midnight where Jimin woke up to ten calls from his friend.

"This better be urgent, Kim- What?!" Jimin barked into his phone as he heard Seokjin convey his message. "Hang in there, I'm coming to teach that b*tch a lesson! What?! You don't want me to hurt her?! You're crazy, Seokjin! What do you want me to do then?!" Jimin blurted out angrily as he got out of bed. There was silence in his small room before a tiny mumble saying 'yes' was heard.

In Seokjin's apartment [2 am]

All was peacefully quiet in Street 24B until a jolting but steady thumping sprang from the front foyer of Seokjin's apartment. When the door was opened for Jimin, he gasped in horror.

The tears burst forth like water from a dam, spilling down Seokjin's face. Jimin saw the muscles of his chin tremble like a small child as Seokjin buried himself in Jimin's chest.

As much as Seokjin tried to hold it in, the pain came out like an uproar from his throat in the form of a silent scream. The beads of water started falling more one after another, without a sign of stopping.

"Jimin- Hic! Hic! Chim Chim, Jimin-ssi... She... Areum..." Seokjin choked on his sobs. Jimin replied calmly, stroking Seokjin's hair, "Calm down, now tell me what did Areum do to hurt you that bad." Seokjin took a deep breath before letting all his emotions out.

"She broke up with me over text because I was 'too focused on studying.' I later found out she was hooking up behind my back."

Seokjin cried. Jimin felt as if his heart was ripped from his body. How could Areum do that?! Just hurt his best friend and leave him like that. Jimin was about to stomp down to her bungalow when Seokjin held onto Jimin's hand.

"Don't leave me please. I don't feel well, every time I trust somebody, they betray me... Why? The 'love' with Areum, was that Fake? Like everyone here?" Seokjin murmured softly before fainting onto Jimin's lap.

"Number 67! Park Jimin, you may visit Kim Seokjin now..." The nurse from the hospital shouted out into the crowd at the AE. "Here!" Jimin replied back hastily as he pulled himself together as knocked on the door to Seokjin's ward.

The hospital corridor is stuffy and the air has an undertone of bleach. The walls are magnolia and are scraped in places from the hundreds of trolleys that have bumped into them. The pictures on the walls are cheap benign prints of uplifting scenes and above the double doors are large blue plastic signs with the areas of the hospital that lie ahead.

"Seokjin? How are you?" Jimin asked melancholy. The doctor had said that Seokjin had fainted due to fatigue and was suffering from Generalized anxiety disorder. It is an anxiety disorder characterized by excessive, uncontrollable and often irrational worry about events or activities.

"Is there a cure for it, Doctor?" Jimin looked down at the cold bare floor. The doctor behind his desk typed something into his computer before answering, "Yes of course. There are thousands of tips for it like looking at anything that relaxes you or makes you smile, listening to soothing music, sing a favorite tune, or play a musical instrument or even enjoying the relaxing sounds of nature.

It just depends if Seokjin wants to treat himself and take my advice. He's a student at College studying for an acting degree right? Well, be careful during that period and best to monitor his behavior. Some people with GAD puts on a false face before them. Once acted up again, he could suffer from an anxiety attack. An anxiety attack usually involves a fear of some specific occurrence or problem that could happen.

Symptoms include worry, restlessness, and possibly physical symptoms, such as changes in heart rate. Anxiety is different from a panic attack, but it can occur as part of an anxiety or panic disorder.

Jimin, after a few years of taking my advice, Seokjin might get better so don't worry. Chins up!" Smiling weakly back at the doctor, Jimin held his friend's weak and pale hand tightly. "I'm never letting you come in any harm's way, I promise." Jimin whispered as Seokjin felt a weak smile creeping up his face.

A/N; It's 1 am now and I'm hungry and happy at the same time because I took like two weeks to complete this chapter!
