Shepard and Tali fight to save the galaxy, but mostly to see each other again. To return to each other and find peace in the aftermath of the reaper battle. But nothing is ever that easy. Rated M to be safe. Moderate to high amount of mild language, potential small amount of severe language. No graphic sexual content.

Hello! The name's Vacant! Happy N7 Day! I hope you all are as excited for any news regarding Mass Effect 4 as I am!

A few years ago, I began writing The Time For Peace, which was my first real introduction to story writing. Because of that, it holds a special part within me.

Initially, it was meant to be a cheesy romance that was only a few chapters long and would serve as what I felt was a proper ending to the Mass Effect story, post-destroy ending.

I never meant for it to turn into what it is currently.

Now, as I grow older and my skills as a writer grow as well, I realize that the story does not quite hold the level of polish that I would really like for it to have. So, for that reason, I am giving it some much-needed love and care in the form of an extensive rewrite and edit process.

The goal is for it to retain the heart of the original (so still a little cheesy) while receiving a new coat of paint in the form of polish and consistency.

HOWEVER. It is NOT guaranteed to be finished. I am currently more focused on my original work and this rewrite is more of a side-hobby. And for that reason, only the first few chapters have been fully rewritten. So if you notice a steep decline in writing quality or a complete shift in style/events, that is most likely because you have crossed the threshold into the older territory where it has not been rewritten yet.

Some things will remain the same, and some things will be different. Some things will perhaps even be brand new! You'll just have to read on to find out!

Currently, only the first 6 chapters have been rewritten.

As for any new readers, The Time For Peace is a Mass Effect 3 post-destroy ending with a MaleShep and Tali pairing.

Shepard is a Paragon Soldier with an Earthborn and Sole Survivor background.

Tali had gone on to become an Admiral for her people.
