And may I just say this...

I AM NOT READY FOR CRIMINAL MINDS TO END! But as they say, "All good things must come to an end." It is cliché but true.

"Oh, do you have to go?" Élise said as she was sitting in the King-size bed, watching Reid fixing up his tie.

"Unfortunately, yes," Reid answered. "But don't be so glum, bunny. I called in Hotch to help out while I'm gone, and Dr. Foster said you need 24 to 48 hours of bed rest."

"Well, that's true."

"And if you need anything," Reid pulls out a dainty handbell and gives it a ring before giving it to her.

"Oh, what would I do without you?" Élise gushed.

KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK!

"That must be Hotch." Élise figuring before asking Reid, "One kiss."

"Anything for you." Reid smiled as he gave Élise a kiss. "I better get okay."

"Be careful. And remember…"

"If anyone hurts me, you'll kick their ass." Reid finished the rest of the sentence.

"Exactly." Élise winked before blowing kisses to Reid. "Love you."

"Love you a mil," Reid said.

Just as Reid was walking down the stairs,

"Daddy!" Anastasia burst out of her bedroom and into Reid's arms.

"Hey! You know daddy has to go to work, right?"

"Yeah."

"And if anything, I'll call you and mommy, okay?"

"Okay."

"Good girl." Reid gives Anastasia a kiss on the head before opening the door. "Hotch."

"Spencer! Anastasia!" Hotch warmly greets Reid and Anastasia.

"Aaron." Anastasia gives him a hug. "How've you been lately?"

"Hanging in there, but still good."

"How's Élise?"

Before anyone could answer the question, everyone could hear bell ringing coming from upstairs.

"I'll take care of Élise and Anastasia until you come home and say 'hi' to everyone else for me, okay?"

"Okay and thanks again," Reid said before giving another kiss to Anastasia. "Be a good girl for Uncle Aaron, okay?"

"Yes, daddy."

More bell ringing came from upstairs.

"And be careful with Élise."

"I will." Hotch winked at Reid, knowing what he meant.

"Hello, my most favorite people on Earth," Garcia greets JJ and Reid with vanilla ice cream—lactose-free vanilla ice cream for Reid due to his lactose intolerance. "How's everyone?"

"I've been great; the twins are about the size of a pineapple now. Élise on the other hand…"

"Did she threaten to hurt you again?" Garcia snickered.

"No." Reid said before truthfully answering, "Yes. Twice."

"Well, Simmons and Alvez made it clear to us they're scared of her." JJ chuckled.

"Really?"

"Yup." Garcia agreed before changing the subject. "So, JJ, how's New Orleans?"

"Wonderful," JJ answered before continuing, "The boys had fun with their cousins, Will reconnected with his old crew and I'm pretty sure I have pearls growing inside me after eating so many oysters."

"Probably vibrio vulnificus: a bacterial contamination caused by eating raw seafood with 52,000 cases a year in the United States alone."

"Or you can use lemon juice and it'll kill all the bacteria."

"It's a good thing you're not my primary care physician." Reid joked.

"Anyway…I need you two to keep a secret."

"Sure."

"O…kay."

"Years ago, I put my name on the OP list there; I completely forgot about it, but…the New Orleans field office has an opening and my name reached the top and it's mine if I want it but…"

"You're leaving?" Garcia shockingly asked before getting a message.

"I didn't say I was going to take it but…"

"You're lucky we have a case right now, but this conversation is not over," Garcia vowed before they left to handle the case.

"Hello?" Reid asked as he answered his phone.

"Hey, Reid."

"Hotch! How's everything?"

"Everything's going well. I just put Anastasia down for a nap and did you get it?"

"Get what?"

"Look at the video message." Hotch insisted.

When Reid did,

"Yup, no surprise," Reid said.

"That your 33-week pregnant wife snores like a drunken sailor?"

Reid adds, "And drools like a cavewoman."

Hotch lets out a rare chuckle before he heard distant bell ringing. "I better get going."

"Okay. Let me know of anything." Reid said before hanging up.

"Hey," Reid said to Rossi as he knocked on Rossi's glass window.

"Hey to you, too," Rossi said as he was packing up.

Reid asked. "Glad to be home tonight instead of tomorrow?"

"Right now, all I want to do is get home and have a drink with Krystall."

"Same here. I need to be with my little girl and 33-week pregnant wife who will be a happy camper once I bring home some barbecue." Reid shows off the brown paper bag before noticing something off with Rossi. "You okay?"

"I'm feeling rattled," Rossi admitted as a concerned Reid took a seat. "Last time I chased an unsub in the woods, I damn almost died."

"Everett Lynch." Reid quietly said, still wondering how he managed to outsmart everyone and escape.

"Over the years, I…I actually thought I was immune to PTSD but now…I think I've been a victim to it. And…I couldn't breathe when…he blacked me out. I know I say, 'Scars remind us where we've been – they don't have to dictate where we are going,' but, uh…"

"I know the feeling." Reid began to speak up. "After I was framed for murder, I…I sometimes wondered if I was going to die or make it out alive. And…I got so used to prison life that I needed to be remained that a door can be unlocked. But the first time I had to deal with PTSD was with Tobias Hankel…"

"The DID offender who kidnapped and drugged you for two days," Rossi mentioned.

"Yeah. After that, I…I had flashbacks from the crime scene photos during my first case back and I…developed an addiction to Dilaudid. Then there was that time I saw Jack Vaughn murder Ryan Phillips and…Delgado…and then of course…Maeve Donovan."

Rossi was sympathetic "Sorry you had to go through all that trauma."

"I've gotten past it, but I can never truly forget, even if I do have an eidetic memory."

"I know, but with Lynch..."

"Maybe he went dormant," Reid guessed. "Like BTK or the Zodiac."

"Lynch is a different animal than the rest of them," Rossi said. "Maybe he adjusted his M.O. and we don't know what he's up to. But I still can't figure out why he let me live."

"We'll get him," Reid vowed. "We may have lost the two battles with Lynch but in the end, we'll win the big war. My advice to you is to focus on the good and now, like you are going home tonight to your wife and having a nice drink together and I'll be going home to an amazing little girl who is asleep by now and a wonderful woman who will probably kill me if I don't bring home her Texas barbecue."

Rossi chuckled, "Consider yourself lucky she didn't with..."

"Oh, yeah." Reid knew what Rossi meant.

Rossi thought about hearing about Garcia spilling the beans about JJ's job offer, "Please don't let Garcia or anyone else stop you from changing careers if you get a tempting job offer or you want to spend more time with your mother, Anastasia, Élise, and the twins. Even though you're going to be 40 in about two years, you still have plenty of time to do big things with your life."

"I know. Good night, Rossi."

After walking into the foyer,

"Hey, Reid," Hotch quietly said as he entered the foyer, carrying Anastasia, already in her favorite long Victorian-era nightgown and mismatched socks.

"Hey, Hotch," Reid whispered back. "How was everyone?"

"Good," Hotch answered as he hands Anastasia to Reid in his arms. "She just fell asleep and Élise…"

"They didn't give you much trouble, did they?"

"Not at all," Jack said as he came out of the bathroom. "Hey, Uncle Spencer."

"Jack." Reid was glad to see Jack. "You're getting taller every time I see you."

"Thanks." Jack chuckled. "And, uh…Élise threatened to kick my dad's butt twice today, break his neck, arms, and legs three times, and told him she will..."

"Jack." Hotch stopped him.

"It was still pretty funny." Jack started to laugh.

Reid quietly laughed before Anastasia started to quiet grunting sounds.

"We better get going."

"Thanks, and anything." Reid locked in the security alarm and walked Anastasia to her room. As he tucked her,

"Daddy loves you more than everything in the world, you know that? And I would do anything to make sure you are safe and your soon-to-be siblings are safe and sound, okay?" Turning on her nightlight, gave his daughter her stuffed teddy bear in her arms and gave her a kiss to her forehead. "Sweet dreamily. I love you." He blew her a kiss before leaving and going over to his own bedroom, where he finds Élise watching television.

"Hey, sweet one."

"Surprised to see you up," Reid gave her a kiss on the lips before showing her, "Look what I got."

Élise gasped, "Texas barbecue from The Salt Lick?"

"Yes-yes."

"We'll eat it tomorrow," Élise said as she watched Reid undress. "So, how was your day?"

"Another day, another unsub. But the most important thing is that I'm home with my girls and pineapple-sized twins."

"Yeah." Élise soothes her belly. "They've been good today."

As Reid changed into his purple pajamas, "Before I left, I had a little chat with Rossi about PTSD."

"I know the feeling of PTSD. After the events from Griffin…I've moved past it but…the memories will always be there. No one can ever be immune to PTSD."

"Rossi said the same thing, but after Everett Lynch…"

"I told you, you and the team are not Boo-Boo the Fools; you all are the smartest minds in the FBI for a reason. If anyone can catch him, you can. You may have lost this battle, but in the end, you guys will win the big war."

"I told Rossi that," Reid said before giving Élise another kiss. "And I also heard someone that you snore like a drunken sailor."

Élise raised her eyebrows, "Where did you…?"

After Reid shows her the video message,

As Élise looked away, "It's not my fault I snore."

"Well, it's definitely not the Snore Fairy's fault."

"Morning, pretty pregnant lady." Reid chipperly said to Élise as he walks into the kitchen.

"Morning, Dr. Darling." She kisses his lips. "Anastasia's still asleep…"

"Oh, let her sleep. Everyone needs their sleep."

"Even those who snore like a drunken snore." Reid joked.

Élise pouted her lips, "Hey."

"You're right," Reid replies. "I probably should have said that you drooled as well."

"You're so funny sometimes." Élise dryly said. "But I still love you." She kisses him again.

"Can I ask you something?" Reid questioned.

Élise replies, "Of course."

"If I ever decide to leave the BAU, please make sure that Penelope and the rest of the team don't stop me…," said Reid before he explained Garcia's reaction to JJ's job offer at the New Orleans Field Office.

"I would have hoped that JJ accepted that job offer since I still want to hurt her for admitting that she's always loved you," said Élise before she remembered what her husband said, "You want to leave the BAU?"

"Not now, but…if I ever do…what do you think about me teaching full-time?"

"That'd be noble." Élise nods her head. "Everyone always thought and said I should be a teacher, but…I guess you can say I have bad childhood memories with certain teachers. Some teachers thought I wouldn't make something of myself, a teacher I had three times in elementary school called me stupid and…"

"You could be a much better teacher," Reid said.

Élise shrugged her shoulders. "I could; sometimes, I just think becoming a teacher is cliché."

"The world needs more teachers."

"True." Élise placed her hand over Reid's. "Whatever you want, I'll support you."

Reid placed his other hand over Élise's. "And whatever you want, I'll support you."

As they lovingly began to kiss,

"Oh!"

They pulled away once they heard something coming from one of the white baby monitors in the kitchen. As Élise grabs the baby monitor, "What the…?"

"Oh, she fell out of her bed," Reid said.

Élise suggested, "Let's go check up on her." As they walked up the stairs,

"Shit!"

Both Élise's and Reid's eyes broaden, and their jaws dropped when they heard,

"Did she…?"

"Just say…?"

"Goddamn it! Motherfucker!"

Their jaws were still open when they burst into Anastasia's room as she was picking herself up.

"Morning." Anastasia smiled when she saw Reid and Élise.

As Reid taps his foot and Élise crosses her arms, "Morning to you too, young lady."

"What did I do?" Anastasia simply asked.

Élise pouts her lips. "Where did you learn language like that, little girl?"

"Especially words you're not supposed to use?" Reid added.

"Jack."

"Jack?" Élise repeated.

"Yes." Anastasia nodded her head.

"Well, you are not ever, and I mean, ever, use language like that again, young lady. Is this understood?"

"Yes, mommy and daddy."

"Good girl." Reid gave her a kiss on Anastasia's head after Élise did. "And come downstairs with us for breakfast."

"Yeah." Anastasia grabbed ahold on Élise's and Reid's hands and led them downstairs.

"Hey, Hotch."

"Spencer." Hotch was always glad to hear Reid's voice. "How's everything?"

"Everything's good. I think we need to have a talk about Jack."

"What about Jack?"

Élise put the phone on speaker, "Let's just say Jack taught her some naughty words that would make Joe Pesci proud."

"Yup." Reid agreed.

"Ah." Hotch knew what they were talking about. "I'll have a talk with him."

"Thanks; just thought we let you know."

After hanging up, Reid looked at Élise, "I just hope that you and Anastasia don't teach the twins to swear as you did during Adams forcing me to go on a date with her and Anastasia this morning."

Élise cocked her eyebrows at her husband, "What about the times you read the word bitches out loud on the notes left by the unsub during the case? We should be worried about what you said too."

Reid blushed, "I love you." said Reid before rushing out of the house.
