So, this is a new story that I thought of randomly in the shower…let me know what you guys think. I also think I got the idea from a T.V I use to watch but sadly it doesn't come on anymore

I DON'T OWN VAMPIRE ACADEMY OR ANY OF ITS CHARACTERS

The first chapter in in Rose's POV but the whole story is going to switch back and forth between her and Dimitri. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. I am always open to CONSTRUCTIVE criticism and take it pretty easily. So please review😊

Chapter 1: Introductions

Prologue

Rose POV

My name is Rosemarie Natalia Elizabeth Hathaway Mazur and I'm a cardiothoracic surgeon at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. That's not my only job though, I also work for the Russian and Turkish mob. You see my father is Ibrahim Hakan Mazur is the head of the Turkish mob, and my best friend Dmitri Alexander Belikov is the head of the Russian mob, and I'm the person they come to whenever someone need medical help or "fixing". Both of my jobs tend to be very tiring, but I manage.

Now all of this mob bullshit started when I was in high school, or well that's when I found out about it. This has been the family business since way before I was born, but I got into it when I got to know Dimitri. We were best friends when we were little but somehow, we fell apart, but when my ninth-grade year started, his senior year, we got closer and eventually started dating. Then he graduated, and his father sent him off to the best universities in the world to further his education, so that he could one day take over. Around that time, I decided that I wanted to be a surgeon; when this realization came about my father told me about the family business.

Now my father isn't a typical mobster. He's not as serious about the work as Dimitri's father is. He's calmer and not as hateful. My father is still the best man for the job though; he manages to balance work and home life easily. When I told him what I wanted my future to look like he backed me up 110% and encouraged me as much as he could.

When I graduated college Dimitri still wasn't back from university, and he never visited. I eventually got over him and moved on because I told myself that it was just a silly high school relationship and I felt like I was right. The day that I left for Yale Dimitri's father, Alexander died, and I had to wait to leave for university for a few days to attend his funeral. I kind of hoped that Dimitri would show up, but he never did.

The day that I left for university was one of the happiest days of my life, but the day I graduated and finally started medical school at John Hopkins I was literally so ecstatic that I could barely comprehend. Medical school was really tough, but when I finally finished, I knew that it was going to be worth it. Medical school was really tough, there were many sleepless nights spend studying; there were also times when I wanted to quit and go back home. I am so grateful that I stayed and pushed through. If I hadn't my life would not be as fun or exciting.

When I graduated med school and started my internship my father came to me and asked if I wanted to help with the family business. Now, I didn't know what he meant, but when he brought one of his men to me for the first time I finally understood. He wanted me to use the skills I had learned in school and throughout my residency to help him fix his people. He explained to me that he originally had a doctor to do all of these things for him, but he was a bad man. The doctor wanted way more than my father was willing to give him, and my father did not take that very well. I also aided in getting rid of the doctor. My father wanted it to look like he had a heart attack and died in his sleep, so I made it happen. I knew what I was doing went against everything that I learned in school, but I like helping my dad. That's when I dove head first into this world.

Skip four years later and here I am, one of the best cardiothoracic surgeons in the country. I well known in both the criminal world and the medical world. I have become better at helping my father with his special project, and oddly they've helped me with my job. Since I have joined my father the teaching that I do at the hospital has become better, I can better explain things to my interns. The criminal work also helps me practice some of my procedures and that helps me better myself.

During the past four years I have thought a lot about Dimitri, and that's bad because I have a boyfriend. Adrian is great and treats me like a queen, so I cannot figure out why I still think of Dimitri. I mean don't think he has really thought a lot about me. I miss him though and hopefully he will come to my family's event this Saturday night.

The Mazur's have many charities that we help raise and donate money for. This weekend the Mazur's are hosting a charity gala in honor of the local children's hospital. I have it on good authority that Dimitri will be there and I am hopeful that he will be. I have also heard that he plans on bringing his new girlfriend Natasha Ozera. I only know her by name and the gossip that I have heard, but from what I hear she is a terrible person.

I am really hoping this weekend goes well for all of our sakes, and that nothing too bad happens. Most of the time that is not the case.

Okay so, this story honestly sounds bad and all over the place, but this is just a prologue so I'm hoping it'll get better.

Please let me know what you think. I would really appreciate it
