Hey guys. Here is another new story. Now don't worry this wont be super long. And the chapters will be very short. It should be a fairly short story in general. I got this idea from playing Smash Bros. A lot, which may or may not be the reason I have been procrastinating on this and my other stories(: There isn't a whole lot else to say so lets get this story started! I started thin before all the DLC were announced so I'm leaving it where I put it.

Lana: Welcome. I'm just going to head out and get ready for the tournament. And on a side note let me now if you find El Diablo. He sneaked of somewhere.

Alright will d-...wait WHAT!?

HISSSSSSSSS

Um Lana. Are you still there?

Lana? Ahhhhhhhh!

"So why are we literally doing this again?" Lori asked as all the siblings were in the Living room with Lincoln setting up his new game system, A Nintendo Switch.

"It was Lincoln's turn to pick an activity for everyone to do sis." Luna reminded her.

"Yes but I thought it would be a board game."

"Well I thought we would take a break from the board games for now. Plus this is something I could have a chance to beat Lynn at. Anyone could actually." Lincoln explained.

"I'll remember you said that when a beat you so bad you wont want to play this game again." Lynn teased.

"We'll see about that." Lincoln said back confident.

"What was the name of the game again?" Leni asked as Lincoln turned the TV to the setting the Switch was on.

"Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It's a giant crossover game with Nintendo characters from Mario, Fire Emblem, Street Fighter, Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Pokemon Star Fox, Metroid and others. They even have Cloud from Final Fantasy 7." He explained lost in thought. He then realized he was rambling and looked at his siblings who all had deadpanned looks.

"You do realize aside from Mario we have no idea who those characters are right?" Lori asked.

"Yes I do. Sorry I was going into geek mode again. But I think you guys will like this. It's a fighting game where you just fight each other until, depending on the settings, time runs out, one takes out the others life, or a mix of the two."

"You had me at fighting." Lynn said.

"I hardly see what could be so fun about this. It will just rot your brain if anything." Lisa said.

"Well it does actually take some strategy Lisa. It's not like other games where it can be random button smashing. You actually will need to plan things out to hit opponents or dodge obstacles." Lincoln explained. He couldn't tell if this changed Lisa's mind but she was at least still in the room.

"But how are we all going to play? You only have two set of controls." Lucy said thinking she was stating the obvious. True there was only two controls connected to the Switch. A red and blue one. Lincoln then proceeded to take the two of and select the Smash Bros game.

"Watch and learn dear sister." Lincoln said. The main menu showed up and Lincoln went to a section that said 'Games and More. He then went to the 'Training' selection. A screen showed the many stages the game has. But so he wouldn't spoil anything he simply choose the first one in the top left corner that said it was a training stage. Some of the sisters at this point were a little interested. Lynn, Lana, Luna and Leni especially. Others like Lola, Lisa, and Lori weren't as interested. The others seemed to be either way. With the exception to Lily. Who has actually played the game before with her big brother.

The next screen showed the characters. All of the sisters were taken aback by how many there were. They mostly reconsigned the Mario characters but others saw some they remembered or heard of like PAC-Man or Sonic.

"How many are there?" Luan asked.

"Counting the Pokemon Red the Trainer uses about 78. At some point there is going to be a 5th DLC, Down loadable character. I'm hoping that Sora from Kingdom Hearts gets in." The sisters just stared at him in confusion. "Sorry geeking out again." He then picked a character called Toon Link, there was an announcer that said the name, and then went to change the control setting so instead of using both controls he was only using the red one holding it sideways. He then started the training mode showing his character, Toon Link, on a completely white stage with red and blue lines and numbers.

"This is the training stage. And has I'm sure you heard the announcer say this character is Toon Link. And it looks like the game gave me Luigi to show you how to play." True it showed that Toon Link was facing against the infamous green plumber.

"Now I chose this to show you how to play first. And then you can all pick a charter to practice with so you can get use to the controls. We'll do two at a time. The cool thing about these controls is that they can be used as one set or two different controls. And the way to fight is more or less the same." Lincoln explained. He then pressed the 'A' button which was the one for his special attacks. Toon Link was then seen charging an arrow on the screen. When Lincoln let go it shot at Luigi making him fall back before getting up.

"That was one of my special moves. Every character has four. For Toon Link that's the arrow or Hero's Bow as the game calls it, his neutral special, a boomerang for the side special, a spin attack for the up, which is also a character's recovery move if they fall of the stage, and a bomb for the down special. To jump is the top or left button, don't ask me why two buttons are for jumping, I don't know." As Lincoln explained he showed each move hitting Luigi each time.

"How come Luigi isn't fighting back?" Lola asked.

"It's in the default settings. When it's like this the character the game picks for you just stands still so you can practice hitting. The only thing he will do is recover if he falls of a ledge." Lincoln explained. "Now the 'X' or right button is your basic moves. For Toon that's just things like a combo with his sword or powerful swings. In the air he has a down attack that can be very useful. But also risky when near the edge of a stage." Lincoln then proceeded to show the girls the rest of the moves. Knocking Luigi away from the edge of the screen and to the other side launching him.

"As an opponent takes damaged their percent damage goes higher. The higher it is the further they get launched. There's also a stamina setting where it's HP, health points, instead where each it causes you to loose HP until you're down to zero." Lincoln pointed to the bottom of the screen where it showed Luigi's percent at almost a hundred. The two characters went from the flat side of the stage to now they are one the battle field stage.

"Now watch this." Lincoln said as Toon Link ran towards Luigi hitting him with a side attack. This caused the man to fall off the edge and fall in the gap between the flat stage and Battlefield stage. Toon Link then jumped above the green plumber and did his down air attack quickly heading towards Luigi with his sword pointed down. But Lincoln made Toon Link jump too far and completely missing Luigi who did his recovery making it back to the flat side of the stage! Toon Link kept falling until he was off the screen where there was a flash of light.

"And that is what happens when characters get defeated." Lincoln deadpanned not expecting to miss.

"Ah! Luigi just beat you and he did absolutely nothing! I mean nothing!" Lynn laughed finding what just happened hilarious.

'She doesn't even know about the memes.' Lincoln thought. "So I thought we could do a sort of tournament. Two people will go against each other in a three stock stamina battle. Your opponent will be your roommate. So it's Lori vs Leni, Luna vs Luan, Lynn, vs Lucy, Lana vs Lola, and Lisa vs Lily. After those matches the winner from each round will go against one of the other winners from a different match. You won't be ale to switch characters but it's better to stay with the same one at first so you can get use to their move-set. Any questions?" Lincoln asked.

"I have a question elder brother." Lisa said. "How can I go against Lily? That hardly seems like a fair fight." She pointed out. Lincoln was prepared for that though.

"Well much like Lori and Leni, Lily is actually really good at video games. She's played a few matches against me and has actually beat me. Without me going easy on her. We've had some close matches." Lincoln explained. Lily giggled at Lisa's expression.

"I can hardly believe that Lincoln." Lisa said with a straight face.

"Well then I think a demonstration is in order." Lincoln said exiting the 'training' screen and going back to the main menu. He then selected the 'smash' on the menu and gave the control to Lily. It then went to a stage selection screen where Lily chose one called Finial Destination. She then proceeded to pick her character who is also her main.

"Isabelle!" The announcer said. She then started the fight.

"What can a dog like that do? She looks too innocent to be in a fighting game." Lana said.

"She is really cute though." Lola noted. The screen then changed to show the Lily's character Isabelle a picture of what looked like a dragon called Ridley.

"I like the way this game thinks. Putting two of the new characters against each other." Lincoln said more to himself than anyone.

"I don't think Lily can win this one. I mean she's going against a dragon." Luna said. Many of the sisters agreed.

"Just watch and learn." Lincoln said. The game then showed the two characters coming on the stage with the announcer counting down.

"3...2...1...GO!" The moment it said go Lily ran her character to the dragon before using her side attack which was hitting Ridley with an umbrella. The dragon responded by dragging Isabelle across the stage throwing her of the edge.

"I think I know who is winning." Lynn said.

"You like to make a bet on that?" Luan asked. While those two talked their bet everyone else watched Lily. She made Isabelle quickly jumped and then used her up special 'Balloon Trip'. The small dog floated on a swing being carried by two balloons going over Ridley. She landed in the middle of the stage and then used her side special which was a FISHING ROD of all things! The rod caught Ridley and dragged him to Isabelle before being thrown.

"None of this is physically possible. I sincerely hope you know this elder brother." Lisa said.

"Of course I do." Lincoln said. He then turned around before pulling out a small notebook out of his pocket and scratching something of. 'I was hoping the balloon thing could work.' Lincoln thought.

Back to Lily, she was doing better than any of the siblings, minus Lincoln, thought she would. She still had most of her health while Ridley was down halfway. Just then a strange object came out of nowhere. It looked like some kind of trophy case showing a shadowed figure.

"Like, what is that?" Leni asked.

"It's an assist trophy. Whoever grabs it will get a temporary partner that, depending who it is, will beat you to a pulp or somehow knock you off the stage." Lincoln explained. They are different every time. Lily ran to the assist trophy grabbing it and then summoned the fighter inside. The assist or assists in this case was the Squid Sisters. They teleported to the middle of the stage and started to sing the stage closing in. Ridley got to the middle but because of his size it made him an easy target for the small dog grabbing him with the fishing rod throwing the dragon off the stage ending its first stock. The Squid Sisters disappeared after that showing Ridley now above the platform on his own smaller one. He then jumped down and continued to attack.

"That was rocking dude!" Luna said finding the music catchy.

"It is but you have to be careful with assist like that." Lincoln said.

"Like, how come?" Leni asked.

"Because ones like that can easily be turned against you. Your opponent can try to make your advantage a disadvantage and vice versa. Basically it's two sides of the same coin. It either works in your favor or can completely backfire on you. Same with a few other items as well."

"What other trophies do that?" Lynn asked.

"Well there is the dog that covers the screen, one that makes the whole stage black, one that moves the whole stage in different direction, and some can do different things when being summoned." The brother explained.

While this is going on Lily is still playing the game having just finished Ridley's second stock by using a bullet bill she had pocketed.

"How is she this good?" Lynn asked.

"She's learned from the master." Lincoln smirked. This got eye rolls from most of the sisters. Lily was now keeping distance from Ridley trying to hit him with any distance attacks or the fishing rod. Being around 80% damage she knew she had to be careful. Just then a ball that had the smash symbol appeared on the stage.

"What's that?" Lana asked.

"Just watch." Lincoln said. Ridley went to attack the ball clawing at it but didn't break it. The ball went to Isabelle who hit it with a smash attack and the next thing the sisters knew the character was glowing. Next thing they now Isabelle is running to Ridley (Which didn't take long) before suddenly stopping. Before the dragon could react Lily activated her Ultimate Attack called "Dream Town Hall." Three raccoons showed up from nowhere and started building a town hall around Ridley before it exploded. This caused Ridley's damage to jump and being close to the edge caused Ridley to loose his last stock meaning Lily won not loosing a single stock.

"Wow. Rocking lil sis." Luna said.

"That was pretty cool I guess." Lynn said a bit jealous that Lily is better at something than her. Even if it is just a stupid video game. Maybe she could win to prove she is better. That means beating Lucy whoever comes afterwords and finally Lincoln. Yeah...she could totally do that right?

"Alright so I thought I would let you all get some practice first so your not going in blind. The first thing you want to do is pick a character. I can help if you can't decide. So without further ado, let's get this started." Lincoln said going back to the training stage he then handed the remote to Lori. "Oldest first right?" He said with a smirk.

Lori just sighed but reluctantly took the controllers. She looked at the rooster for a minute before going back to the top picking a character in an armored suit. "Who is this?"

"That is Samus. One of the originally charters when this game serious started. She has a power suit with an arm cannon, missiles, and is a pretty good character."

"Alright lets try this." Lori said intrigued. And thus the training began.

Time skip: (because this taking me longer to write than I thought it would and I don't want it to be too long) After everyone has trained.

All the sisters got to train each picking their character. Lori stayed with Samus. Leni picked Pichu, Luna picked Daisy, Luan to know ones surprise picked Joker, she was going to pick Bowser Jr. but she couldn't miss the opportunity. Lynn picked Incineroar because he's a wrestler, Lucy picked the dark lord himself Ganondorf, Lola picked pink villager, Lana picked the blue inkling boy, and Lisa picked Mewtwo. Lily stuck with Isabelle and Lincoln said he would surprise them with is other main character when he would fight.

"So now that that's out of the way the first match can begin." Lincoln said already having a tournament set up so all the roommates were going against each other. Lisa had pointed out that with the current pattern some would have to skip the first round. "Don't worry. that's why I set it up on the tourney. So the game can calculate who goes when. So yes some of you will get a free pass for the first round but you will all still have to fight. I turned of all items except the smash ball to make it more fair and all matches are three stock and 4 minutes for a time limit." Lincoln told them. "Now the first of many rounds. Lori vs. Leni!"

The two girls sat on the couch each with a pair of controllers. Their characters moved up the bracket an energy column forming between the characters. It then zoomed in before showing that the two girls were on the Castle Siege stage. The two got ready to beat the other both being the only other to have any experience with video games aside from Lincoln. Samus teleported (or whatever that thing she transports from is called) and Pichu comes out of a Pokemon ball.

"3...2...1...GO!" The announcer said. Lori immediately starting making a charge shot while Leni seemed confused on what to do at first. Lori finished charging and moved to make sure the blast would hit the tiny mouse Pokemon. Leni then used her recovery "Agility" dodging the attack and landing behind Lori. She then used her down special "Thunder" getting the first hit. Lori looked shocked at first but then started to focus. She used her down "bomb" hitting Leni who forgot how to block. Lori then used to an attack combo to rake some more damage on Leni. Leni was knocked of the stage but not very far and used her side special "Skull Bash" hitting Lori. Pichu at this point has a lot more damage since it's attacks hurt itself. The two kept trading blows until Lori got Leni with her up special "Screw Attack" with Pichu in the air ending Leni's first stock. Lori smirked thinking she had this in the bag.

Right as that happened the staged morphed to where the fighters are now inside the castle that was previously in the background. Pichu came back and used a charged smash attack on Lori ending her first stock. Lori lost her smirk now annoyed that she allowed herself to get hit by that. 'Not letting that happen again.' She thought. They both fought for so long that the stage morphed again this time looking like it was in a volcano.

The whole time the other sisters are cheering for both of them the match being so close right now they don't know who to cheer for. Lincoln was remaining neutral just waiting to see who would win. He already had an inkling who would, but what would be the fun in spoiling it for everyone?

At this point the sisters each finished another of their opponents stock. Lincoln could tell where this was going. It would come down to who got the-

"Dudes the Smash Ball just appeared!" Luna yelled. Both went for it at fast as they could Samus using an air attack that hit both Pichu and the smash ball but it wasn't enough to break it. She hit it again forgetting about Leni who used her down special hitting the ball but it still didn't break. Lori hit it one more time and then Samus was suddenly glowing.

"Yes!" Lori exclaimed thinking she was about to win. But before landed Leni used a smash attack on her knocking Samus back and causing her to loose the smash ball. At this point there is a minute left on the timer. "What?" Lori yelled surprised. "Leni give that back!" The ball went out of their reach for a second before coming back down again near Pichu. Pichu hit it with a couple "Thunderbolts" breaking the ball. Lori had a look of tread on her face.

"Oooooooo...Hey Lori I'm glowing." Leni said almost forgetting what she had to do. Lori tried to jump out of the way but Leni used it to fast catching Samus and using Volt Tackle. The next thing they all knew a ball of lighting was bouncing around the screen attacking Samus from all sides. At the end the electricity exploded sending Samus of the screen and finishing the match.

"Noooooooo!" Lori yelled falling to her knees comically. Realizing what she was doing she stopped and looked at her siblings who were trying to decide if they should ask if she was okay. "I mean...good game Leni. But since I lost I think I will just go talk to Bobby. I'll be back to watch before the finial match." She said clearly embarrassed and mad that she lost.

"You better be." Lincoln said jokingly. "Now, Luna and Luan? Are you ready?"

I'm so sorry I have been on hiatus for so long. I have been busy with school taking concurrent classes, busy with high school and work in general, I'm a known procrastinator, I had to play Kingdom Hearts 3,...should I continue? Biggest news I have is that I have been accepted to college so that has also been a big thing going on that I have been preparing for. Thankfully This is my spring break and because of Covid-19 or Coronavirus my school is one of the many here in the US that has been canceled until April so I hope to get some more updated out with this extra free time.

The chapters in this story will be much shorter than this as the next chapters will probably have one or two fights per chapter. Again sorry I have been gone so long.
