It was afternoon on the next day. I was trying to brew a coffee bean named Kilimanjaro, while Chino besides me and watching me doing it.
Sunny and Star also started their job but the three of us still spend the night in Rabbit House.
Cocoa and Rize just came back from a place called school, they said it's a place for study.
Cocoa started cleaning the place and Rize prepared some mugs.
"I never knew that there were many kinds of coffee beans" I talked to Chino. "they almost have the same shape and color, but the smell and taste are different each one another"
"I'm glad you could enjoy the taste of a different coffees and even can tell the difference, unlike some people" said Chino while looking at Cocoa, I wondered why.
On that hour, the customers just left our cafe and this cafe became silent and relaxing. Me and Chino took a quick break and enjoyed ourselves a coffee at one of the tables.
"the coffee you brewed is so delicious Luna, I'm glad you chose to join us" Said Chino.
"probably because I also like to brew coffee in the morning at our home" I replied.
"it's so calm and quiet, I never feel this way in such a long time.." Said Chino.
"yeah me too... Sunny also always eager and sometimes troublesome" I answered her
"WAIT! Is something wrong with Cocoa?" Chino shocked and then looked at Cocoa.
Cocoa herself was still cleaning the tables and singing a song, but we did not hear her.
"calm down Chino, I don't care if you still believe me or not" I tried to explain "like I said before, we are fairies, and my ability is to make the sound on my surrounding became silent"
"well I do believe something off from three of you when Star pointed tippy on my head, I just could not believe that you are a fairies" answered Chino.
"it's okay, it's not like we're bothered by that anyway" I replied to her.
After our short break, I went through the bar and saw Rize doing some kind of trick with coffee and milk.
"what are you doing Rize?" I asked her.
"oh, this is latte art" Said Rize.
The milk was on top of the coffee and shaped like some kind of flower.
"wow. It's pretty" I praised her.
"want to see more?" said Rize while doing some tricks, but this time was faster and the coffee have something like a vehicle with many wheels and a nose in front.
"coolll... but,what is it?" I asked, confused.
"it's a tank" said Rize.
"Tan-ku?"
Not finished with my question, Cocoa then came.
"I can also do that, watch me!" Said Cocoa.
After a while Cocoa show me a picture of me, Sunny, and Star just on top of a coffees. It's a cute picture, I hope I could keep it. And then Cocoa took something from her pocket and a flash of light just came out from that thing.
"I will print it out and give it to you" Said Cocoa to me.
I think that thing was people call it camera, because some tengu use it for their newspaper, although a lot of it just a gossips among youkai.
"so, do you like working here? Does the uniform fit you?" Asked Rize to me.
I looked into my self with clothes that similar to them, but with a brown pattern and black bowtie, and then I answered.
"yeah, the uniform is cute and I learned a lot of new things" I smiled to them. "I didn't know if Cocoa could do coffee late this cute"
"hehe..." Cocoa seemed proud.
"but she used 30 coffees for practice so we must drink a lot from it" said Rize.
"hehe.." Cocoa continued proud.
"Heh!?" I'm surprised "whether it's just waste of supplies?"
"well... speaking of supply, looks like our daily supply is running low, Cocoa, why don't you go and take Luna with you? while showing her some places around town" Asked Rize.
"I would love to!" Answered Cocoa.
"okay Luna, let me piggyback you!" Cocoa said to me while she squatting and offering her back to me.
"uhh... no I can walk, in fact, I can fly" I said to her. "but we don't want to cause a commotion so let's just walk together"
"we're leeeaaaviinggg..." Said Cocoa cheerfully to Rize and Chino while we just passed trough the front door.
"yeah... please take care" Said Rize.
"please take care of Cocoa" Said Chino.
I once again walked in this wood town and a stone street, we passed a stone bridge and saw a man driving a boat that going past under the bridge.
We arrived at the market in the town square. The market was not much different from the one in Gensokyo, there were vegetables merchant, fruits merchant, books merchant, and many more, but it's feels more modern, probably because this cobblestone street, some street lights, and some modern tools they were selling.
We bought our supplies, and when we passed a small shop, I saw a coffee brewer on a display window.
'maybe I'll buy it for our home' that was on my mind.
"hey Luna, you're not yet seeing how the others working right! Why don't we visit them before we go home?" Asked Cocoa to me.
"sure" I agreed
The first one was where Syaro and Sunny working, the place called Fleur de Lapin. It's on a corner of the street, it's so fancy and had many big windows.
We entered the door and suddenly
"Welcome!" Said both Syaro and Sunny.
I was surprised with how fancy their uniforms were. Black and white waiter uniform with a cute accessories, and not to mention their floppy bunny ears headbands.
They both greeted us with tilting a little of their bodies and lifted their right arm like they were offering something.
"wow! The uniform suits you both!" I praised them.
"even though you keep wearing long skirt Sunny" I said to Sunny.
"it can't be helped, if I wear a mini skirt, my pumpkin underwear will pass through my skirt" Answered Sunny.
"alright, so.. how's your work?" I asked.
"the cakes was delicious!" Answered Sunny while showing her thumb to me.
"you should deliver it to the customer you know" I replied.
"speaking of customer, there was a young lady that always bow under the table, I think she tried to observe Syaro, although I think she only saw on her thigh" Said Sunny.
"is it just peeping?" I wondered.
"I think I know who she was" Said Cocoa.
"but that young lady ordered a delicious cake you know" Said Sunny, smiled.
"you should let the customers eat their cake you know" I complained.
Then Syaro apparently just finished serving a customer came to us.
"gee... you fairies are very easy going, aren't you?" Said Syaro to us.
"huh! Do you believe we are fairies?" I asked Syaro, surprised.
"well, me and Sunny had assignment to promote our cafe near a park with a flyers" Syaro tried to tell us her story. "and then I tripped and torn my skirt, so we both went to my home first to fix it before we back"
"wait, why you're tripped?" Asked Cocoa
"there was a feral rabbit that-" Sunny answered but then Syaro suddenly interrupted.
"A-Ahem... A-anyway, while I was fixing my skirt Sunny noticed there was one of my herb plant that didn't get enough sunlight." Syaro continued. "after I explained to her, then she said 'leave it to me' and started to wave her hands, and somehow, the sunlight bent toward the plant. I was shocked for a minutes there"
"and so it was.." Said Sunny while eating one of the cakes.
"like I said, you must deliver them to the customer Sunny" I complained to Sunny again.
Me and Cocoa ordered some herbal tea before we left the place.
The herbal tea that I ordered tasted like a mixture bitter and yet it was also sweet, and somehow it made me a little more lively.
After that we took another walk to where Chiya and Star working.
"here Luna" Cocoa gave something for me in the middle of our walk.
"oh thanks" I thanked her. It looked like a photo of me looking to three mugs of coffee with a latte art of Sunny, Star, and myself. I was happy because I finally got to memorize something so cute.
After a while, we arrived at Chiya and Star workplace, it's called Ama Usa An. It was like a very traditional cafe, it had some banners and bamboo accessories, remind me of human village in Gensokyo, even though I seldom to go there.
This cafe was also where Chiya lived with her grandmother, when the next of it was a small house that turned out to be Syaro's house.
Then we entered through the front door and was greeted by Chiya and Star.
"Welcome!" both Chiya and Star.
I dumbfounded by them, and looked like Cocoa too.
"whoaaa... you're really cute Star!" Said Cocoa with a sparkling eyes.
"and you two look very similar, like seeing twin sisters" said Cocoa while holding both of their hand.
"oh my!" Said Chiya.
"reeeallyy.." Said Star, blushed.
I then sat with Cocoa on one of the tables and tried to order something. Star took a note and Chiya standing next to her.
"how's your work, Star?" I asked star while opening the menu.
"this work is so wonderful! Right Chiya!" Said Star.
"yes, inspiration somehow always come and help us to add various kinds of sweets to the menu, this is so wonderful" said Chiya.
Me and Cocoa just give them a small grin.
"in fact, we just finished with an experimental food, do you like to try?" Star offered.
"o..okay then lets give it a try" I said.
Cocoa was also ordered the same kind of this mysterious experimental dessert that Chiya and Star created. And after we waited for a while.
"there you go! Our last experimental sweet for today!" said Chiya while serving us the sweets.
The sweets was on a medium size pot with a lot of ornament on top of it, like candies with a different shape and color, small banners, and biscuits that looked like butterfly. It's arranged and yet still messy.
"we also just came up with a name for it too" said Star, Smiled.
"and it's name is.." both of Chiya and Star tried to pose by facing each other holding both of their hands. One of their hand lift up when the others straight to me and Cocoa while their face looking at us, and then yelled,
"A FAIRY STUCK IN A WAR BETWEEN RABBIT AND LITTLE GIRL!"
"sooo cooolll!" said Cocoa.
"you mean 'tooo loonngg' right!" I said to Cocoa.
"how wonderful!" Said someone that was sitting beside our table.
She was a quiet young woman with long brown hair wearing a glasses and holding a pen.
"umm..." I tried to wonder.
"oh.. she is Aoyama Blue Mountain, a famous novelist" Answered Chiya to me.
"if being with a fairy could inspire a whole life" Aoyama continued.
"well then, thanks for the food" said the lady while going to counter to pay her order.
And then she just left. I still don't get what she said.
After we enjoyed our food, we went back to the Rabbit House.
It was almost night. Sunny and Star also already home from their workplace.
Before we went upstairs, we always met Chino's father and thanked him for letting us stay for a while.
And then before I opened the door to our room, Chino approached us.
"tomorrow is the day off, do you have any plan?" Asked Chino.
"well, I want to play a prank on hu-" Said Sunny but suddenly Star closed her mouth.
"no we don't hehe..." Said Star.
"good, I want to introduced you to my friends and classmates" Said Chino.
"sure lets play together tomorrow" I said to Chino.
On our bedroom inside the Rabbit House. We changed ourselves with a pajama that we borrowed from Chino.
"hey, look at this!" I showed Sunny and Star a photo of me looking to three coffee late mugs.
"heehh.. it's so cute" said Star, impressed.
"is that us?" Asked Sunny.
"yeah, I wonder what will happen tomorrow" I said to them.
"yeah, I wonder what kind of people Chino's friends are" Said Sunny
It was a calm night, although I heard some noise from Chino's room that probably had something to do with Cocoa but we were just sleeping peacefully.
