A/N: The chapter where the story hopefully gets better and progresses much quicker considering my lack of updates.
But first…
Silent Searcher: Let's jus say Joshua knew in the first place. Hopefully, Palutena can figure it out soon too- before it's too late.
Auraheart: Thank you. Its true, they did. And I don't know what you mean by attack, but I will try to make it more suspenseful if I do something similar.
I own nothing but my OCs. RubyDarknessAngel owns herself and her OC Sky.
Here's chapter 9!
Also, those reviews didn't show up in the review section of the story, but I found them in my Emails this morning. THANK YOU, EMAIL.

Chapter 9: To devise a strategy?
After Penelope had visited last, it had only been a few days before the Commander was successfully able to attack the other gods and she had been able to wreak havoc on the heavens.
Sure, Hades messed up the balance, but Palutena found that the Commander wasn't only aiming for them. It seemed that she was aiming to destroy the heavenly order or it was something else that they were aiming for, and it was really hard to figure out how to ruin her plan.
Especially considering the Silent Sanctuary had vanished, hidden by a cloud barrier, and the Commander had set up her moves very well, making it hard to find what to do next or the plan would be ruined.
Not only did the Commander attack the Heavens and was starting to take siege of it, but she also seemed to attack the Underworld frequently, and she said she wanted Hades out of the way with her battle with Palutena, but this situation and changed.
And there hadn't been any issues with the Organization XIII as of late, and it had been learned that Maleficent's battle with Medusa had ended as the Commander managed to capture both Maleficent and Pete and take them out of battle.
And with the help of the Goddess of Creation and her agent (I'll explain that later), the Commander was starting to seem like the ultimate enemy.
I'm not saying that because she'll be fought later on, and its not that she's a Super Boss, but her strategy and tactics seemed flawless.
Palutena was also still suspicious about Penelope's charm, as it looked identical to the Commander's emblem, but that could be a mistake too. Wasn't Penelope on their side or was she a spy?
It was hard to figure out.
To add on, another thing that they found out about the Commander was that she and her army weren't disrupting the humans at all. Only the Heavens and the Underworld.
Strange as it was already, when Yami and Roselyynn attacked, they thought the two angels had been attacking the humans, but the humans in the end appeared to be just fine.
So, that meant that the Commander was aiming for the Gods and Goddesses in the Heavens and Hades in the Underworld.
So, when Viridi and Palutena were attempting to figure out a strategy (with Palutena being at it for days, barely getting any sleep), with Joshua helping, at the time the others (including Ruby and Sky) had been training, there was a knock at the doors of Palutena's temple.
Before Palutena could say a word, Joshua stood up. "I'll answer it. You don't seem to be in the condition to do so."
When Joshua opened the door her noticed a light brown haired angel suddenly bow. "Excuse me, is Lady Palutena there?" She asked. Joshua narrowed his eyes.
"Why do you ask? You aren't a spy, are you?" He questioned. The girl frowned at him.
"My orders were to deliver a message to Palutena, not spy or initiate attack. I wasn't even supposed to bring my weapon.
Joshua noticed the Angel's attire was odd. She had a shorter, golden yellow colored toga with a grey outfit underneath similar to Pit and Dark Pit. What held her toga in place was a brown belt that crossed.
Then she was also wearing a brown vest along with fairly long brown, gloves that appeared to made of leather, and for whatever reason, each glove had a rather large triforce symbol on them.
Next, she was wearing knee-length socks and brown cowboy-like boots.
Her hair appeared to be held up by a green laurel wreath that was used as her hair tie (it wrapped around her hair), and she had surprisingly small coffee brown wings.
Now, Joshua didn't exactly trust this Angel. "Who gave you the orders?" He asked her.
The Angel sighed. "I'm supposed to give Lady Palutena the message, not you, sir."
Joshua, though still suspicious, decided to let the Angel in, but he kept an eye on her.
She didn't even look at their planning; she just went straight to Lady Palutena.
"Hello, Lady Palutena, Lady Virdi." She greeted.
The two goddesses looked at her, with Virdi trying to hide the plan, considering the Angel wasn't exactly trustworthy at the moment.
"Who are you?" Palutena asked.
The angel bowed again. "You can call me Maria. Or Nancy. Nancy works too. However, I usually go by the name "Narrator"."
The two goddesses looked at each other in confusion before focusing on Maria…Nancy…Um…
You know what? Narrator works.
So, they looked back at Narrator. Palutena then proceeded to ask, "Why are you here and who sent you?"
"The Goddess I'm in service to, Lady Zia, requested I would deliver a…"
Narrator had to avoid an attack of light from Palutena and then one from Joshua, surprising her.
"So you must be here to spy on us." Joshua accused her. Now, keep in mind he could've read her mind, but he decided not to.
"No, I told you I'm not here to…" Some of Narrator's hair was singed off by one of Palutena's attacks and Narrator quickly learned that at the moment, they thought she was an enemy.
So, the Angel had to avoid many attacks, though she mostly got hurt somehow and at some point, the attacks stopped when Narrator dropped a letter and fell over and the fact that she really hadn't brought a weapon with her.
Narrator got the letter and raised her arm up with it in hand. "Lady Zia requested me to deliver…this letter… She didn't want me to come armed, but I didn't know you guys would…attack me." She said fairly weakly.
Looking closely at Narrator, her hair looked messed up, her clothes had been torn up a bit and there as some minor burn marks on her arms and a leg.
Yes, the minor burns were from Palutena's attacks.
"Why didn't you say so in the first place?" Viridi asked Narrator.
"As soon as I mentioned Zia, you attacked me." This brought some confusion. Yes, she said Zia sent her, but the Commander wasn't mentioned.
Palutena helped Narrator up. "Wait, did Zia send you on the Commander's orders?" The Goddess asked. Narrator raised an eyebrow.
"No. She did it on her own will. I only take orders from Zia, not ...her." Narrator had to stop herself from saying the Commander's name, as she nearly did.
"Why did you pause?" Joshua asked her.
Narrator brushed herself off and said, "I really don't have time to play 20 Questions. I'm also not supposed to say the Commander's name out loud. She'll kill me."
"The Commander has a name?" Narrator nodded as she handed Palutena the letter, stumbling and nearly tripping.
"Yep. Don't all Commander's have names?" Admittedly, she had a point.
Narrator sighed in relief before heading towards the door. "I have to leave before the wind gets bad. It's hard for me to fly when the wind is rough, but then again, it's hard for me to fly in the first place."
The Angel proceeded to leave and the three went back to the table. When Palutena read the letter, she was very confused. Why?
Zia wanted them to stop the Commander before it was too late. But why?

About an hour later, there was the sound of something hitting the temple, and Joshua sighed and got up and went outside.
The momentary peace between the Commander and Palutena had been ruined because guess what happened?
Well, Joshua was mad to see that a column had been destroyed, with fire engulfing it. At first, he thought he saw a phoenix until he noticed it was really an angel, whose toga looked like fire, her wings looking similar to Axel's, has red hair tied up into a ponytail and had fiery eyes.
"Are you serious?" He asked himself. The girl said, "Oh hey! Sorry to ruin this column, but the Commander didn't want to leave the Goddess of Light out of the party. Oh and oops." The Angel blasted at the column beside her with a large fireball attack rather casually, knocking the rest down like dominos.
Then the Angel flew off. Joshua groaned before going back inside and slamming the door behind him.
"Palutena, Viridi." He said, after getting their attention by slamming the door.
"Yeah?" Viridi asked Joshua back.
"We need to think of a plan, and fast, before the Commander decides that she'll take Skyworld too." He indicated, before opening the curtains on one window, showing them the burning columns outside.
Palutena and Viridi were shocked by that, but they knew he was right.
But how were they going to counter the Commander's strategy?

A/N: Hey look! An update!
I managed to update fairly quickly and post a chapter for two different stories in one day. Yay!
And right before I start school again too.
Anyway, sorry if the chapter was short. I think that I couldn't really figure out how to end the chapter any different way.
Like usual, review if you'd like, I prefer if you didn't flame, and please tell me how I can improve as an author.
I will see you all in the next chapter!
Ciao!
