A/N: Hello everyone. Its been a while, hasn't it?

Silent Searcher: I'm glad to know you like it.

RubyDarknessAngel: Ding! Though some of her identity was spilled at the beginning. Regardless, she does hide it from our protagonists fairly well.

I own nothing but my OCs. Sky and Ruby belong to RubyDarknessAngel.

Here's the long awaited chapter 11.

Chapter 11: Strike Back

It was finally time.

What time is it, you ask?

Not summer time. Why? This isn't High School Musical.

The time was to begin taking out the Commander, starting with her first General, Jade. However, they found an extremely powerful barrier around the Goddess of Music's realm that was set by the Commander to keep from interference.

So, it was very fortunate to have the Lightning Chariot at this time because they could use it to pierce through the barrier. That was a detail the Commander had forgotten about them. Why?

Well. The Lightning Chariot had only been used once. It was really easy to forget about

it.

Using that knowledge to their advantage, it was going to be pretty easy to infiltrate the area. However, the only problem was the team they were going to send in. It may seem easy, but in actuality, they had to be very wise with who they picked.

They couldn't just recklessly run in with whoever and attack. Strategy was key.

The good thing is that Zexion and Joshua knew the plan of what they were supposed to do, but Zexion was going, mainly because of his ability. Then Dark Pit, as he knew what to do with a plan, and he wasn't as crazy as Pit (not that it was bad. Crazy as in loud). Thirdly, Neku, as he was perceptive and could tell if something was up and lastly, Roxas, with similar reasons for Dark Pit, but also because of dual wielding.

If they sent in more people, it would blow their cover. Therefore, it was best for just those four to go.

And the Commander wasn't even expecting it.

(Melodia)

In the musical area of the heavens, known as Melodia, the Goddess of Music, Melody, was silent as she and her angels were trapped in their paradise. And surprisingly, the Commander herself was there, speaking with Jade, who was practically Melody's guard.

"Its been a while since I've last come here. Its fortunate that the beauty or your realm hasn't been ruined, Melody." The young-looking goddess was quiet, but she stared at the Commander, looking upset and somewhat distraught.

The Commander lurked closer, only causing Melody to step back in her prison (yes, they locked her in a cage. But not with her angels. They weren't locked up).

The Commander only showed disappointment in Melody's actions. "I find it odd that you seem to be so afraid of me, Melody. I don't recall seeing you look at me like that before."

Melody glared at her. "I'm ashamed of you, really. Why are you doing this?" The girl questioned the angel outside of the bars. The Commander signaled Jade to answer the question, as the question didn't really fit her fancy.

Jade groaned. "You need to be more specific, Miss Melody." The green haired woman began. The girl frowned before stubbornly replying, "I was being specific."

Jade narrowed her eyes at Melody, giving her a cold gaze of death. Melody tried her hardest to be unfazed. She may have been in captive in her own realm, but she wasn't going to lose the battle to angels. Even if the Commander took over.

However, it was clear Melody was going to lose this battle, as fear was hidden, but starting to reveal from Melody's orange eyes. The jade-feathered angel smirked at Melody, and then the young goddess gave in.

"I-I mean…" However, the Commander had already left, and Melody noticed by the beautiful violet feathers that were occasionally falling from the sky. Melody was unimpressed now, but that didn't matter. The Commander had never been the type for pointless chit-chat, had she?

Melody then focused back on Jade from her disappointment, which changed back into fear. Jade approached a bit closer, and Melody stepped back. "Taking over your realm was just another step for accomplishing our goal, Goddess of Music. Just wait until we take the rest."

The orangette shook her head. "Not until Palutena's Army takes you out!"

Jade chuckled at Melody. "Regardless, it doesn't mean that the Commander has nothing if her plan fails. She can come up with countless of plans, making her an excellent tactician. It's a shame Palutena's Angels and their allies don't understand out goal though."

When Jade turned and began walking away, Lyra and Symphonia*, two of Melody's most faithful Angels came over to their Goddess in worry. "Milady… are you sure Palutena will come to our aid? She hasn't yet…" Lyra looked to be in sorrow and fear, like anyone else in Melodia.

However, the good thing about Melody is that she still had hope. "I know Palutena has a plan. And she's helping us very soon… I can feel it. For now, my angels, we must wait until she comes to save us."

Lyra and Symphonia looked at each other and nodded. "And until then, we'll wait."

(In the Sky)

Honestly, in terms of location, it was difficult to find some realms in the sky at times. Especially Melodia. A big reason was the clouds.

And Dark Pit wasn't exactly the impatient type. The problem was finding Melodia in the time of five minutes before the Power of Flight ran out and his wings would burn up if he exceeded that time and then he'd die.

Like how Pit nearly died in Chapter 21 of Uprising after saving him and he had to restore Pit's wings at that Fountain in Chapter 22 so he wouldn't die but had to fight Amazon Pandora beforehand.

"Zexion." The said boy acknowledged his name being called. "Yes, Dark Pit?"

Trying to not act nervously (As it wasn't his style), Dark Pit asked, "Are you sure we're going in the right direction?"

Zexion looked around. "I'm pretty sure we are. Why?"

"His wings." Roxas answered for Dark Pit. Zexion seemed confused.

"No really. How much time has passed?" Zexion thought for a moment for replying, "About three minutes. Why?"

"Three minutes?!" Dark Pit asked, sounding a bit freaked out. Zexion seemed puzzled by Dark Pit's reaction.

"Why are you so worried?"

Dark Pit's expression seemed serious, and also concerned. "If we exceed five minutes of flight, my wings will burn up and then I'll die!"

And now Zexion seemed panicked from learning that, because really. If Dark Pit died, it would most likely result in Pit dying, and then they'd be screwed, especially as Pit and Pittoo were vital to fighting against the Commander's Army. "Then we need to speed up and find the barrier around Melodia quickly to being our attack-"

And surprisingly, Neku was the one who cut Zexion off. "There!" Neku pointed out the barrier, which Zexion proceeded to destroy. So, when they were landing in Melodia after breaking the barrier, Dark Pit, who was beginning to get really freaked out, rushed them right before the time ran out.

Luckily, though, it was just barely before it hit 5 minutes when they landed. This was relatively a good thing. Except Roxas and Neku were kind of mad at Dark Pit.

But that wasn't really a big issue at hand. Finding and defeating Jade was the tope priority right now. And the peace was unsettling… seeming absolutely out of place.

And also nerve-unsettling too with the very strange, and creepy peace. "Uh… Isn't the Commander's General set here? It would make much more sense if this place were less… quiet." Roxas pointed out. Zexion proceeded to explain.

"Actually, the Commander's General of Conquest, Jade, is more than meets the eye. In fact, for some reason, working is stress relief for her." This stirred up some confusion.

"Wait. That doesn't make sense. Normally, work stresses you out. It's the opposite for Jade?" Neku asked Zexion. The steel-blue haired boy nodded.

"Strangely, yes. For some reason, if she loses or isn't working, it can stress her out." Zexion explained.

"Wait, how do you know this?" Neku asked, seeming suspicious.

"Joshua explained to me beforehand. You should ask him." Neku sighed. Of course it has to be Joshua.

Regardless, that info was somewhat important, as it showed one of Jade's weaknesses. However, the peace was still troublesome. "Also, this peace… its somewhat of an illusion. Jade isn't stupid about defense. She has some traps set up for us."

"Can you find them?" Roxas asked. Zexion pointed to Neku, who sighed. "I guess that means I'm the scout. I'll lead and search for traps, Zexion, you reveal them, and Roxas, Pittoo, you two disable the traps."

Dark Pit, now speaking after all of this, complimented Neku for his plan… until he heard he called him Pittoo.

"Its Dark Pit…"

Neku stared at him. "Look, that's not important right now. What is important is finding Jade and defeating her. We need to get a move on before something bad happens."

Dark Pit was silent, as he knew that Neku had a point.

And thus, the quest of finding Jade, defeating her, and then saving Melody began…

In hopes they weren't too late.

A/N: That took much longer than needed, but I finally got this thing done.

I don't really have much of a comment this time.

So yeah.

Please review if you'd like and please don't flame. If you could, I'd appreciate some constructive criticism so I can improve in my writing.

I will see you all in chapter 12!

Ciao.
