Hello everyone! Welcome back.

…You probably noticed that the (A/N) symbol is gone, but that's not important, as its just a symbol.

What'll happen in this chapter? Well, like I said previously, you'll see.

I own nothing like usual except for my OCs. Ruby and Sky belong to RubyDarknessAngel.

Here's chapter 15!

Chapter 15: One last plan!

Despite the heroes were still in recovery days after Kairi, Namine, Sky and Ruby had defeated Yami and Roselyynn, they had to defeat the Commander near ASAP or else everything would be in ruins.

Which was why Palutena had called in those who were the most aware (or the potentially most helpful) of the situation in to help her figure out a plan. Viridi came in to help, but Melody also came in to lend her assitance.

…And unfortunately, Hades was also called in. Sure, he couldn't really do much, but like the time with the Aurum, they kinda needed to call in Hades as he was just as influenced in this as the others were.

But why didn't Palutena call in the other Gods? It would make sense, but now, Palutena couldn't, as who knows what the Commander would do if all the Gods were gathered in one place?

With that being said, now was the time to act. And assiting Palutena in her work was none other than Joshua and Zexion (though they were still recovering), with Namine also lending a hand.

They had to stop the Commander soon… or it'd be too late.

The Goddess of Creation, outside her chamber of the base on the balcony area, had been staring worriedly out at the sky, anticipating something which drew closer and closer as the Commander continued to gracefully yet recklessly execute her plan.

Her lone agent clumsily flew down by her, after spying on Palutena's meeting, but not reporting to the Commander of the events. "Zia," The emerald-eyed Goddess looked over to the brunette by her. "Palutena's plan is going in motion and she gathered some of the Gods afflicted the most to her temple. What should we do now?"

Zia looked towards the sky after looking at Narrator for a brief moment, bringing her hands that she held together close to her chest. "We've done all that we can for now. What we must do now is let Palutena and her forces stop her… before its too late."

Narrator's brown eyes shifted worriedly over to Zia. "But at this rate, they'll arrive very soon and pick up where they left off. Despite she had good intentions, she had no idea that her actions would lead to their return."

Sadly, the Goddess beside her replied, "I'm aware of that. I've tried to warn her… but she's been too stubborn to listen. All that she's been trying to accomplish will end in vain if we can't stop the bigger threat."

"I know, I know. Why does the Commander have to be so outlandishly stubborn? Not that I like calling her the Commander, but still?"

A soft smile appeared on Zia's face as she jokingly told Narrator, "Well maybe she gets it from you." The angel tensed up before looking at Zia with a face of bewilderment.

"You… you don't mean it, do you?!" Zia ruffled Narrator's hair, and a soft smile appeared on her face.

"Of course I don't." However, the conversation between the Goddess and her angel was quickly ended when Hikari had opened up the door to the balcony, and the two quickly noticed her.

"The Commander is requesting everyone's presence to the throne room." Hikari told Zia and Narrator, who looked at each other in response and nodded.

Once they got there, everyone was present, and they went into the normal order of going into a straight line. The Commander didn't have a worried look on her face, though it was evident she was aware something was going to happen.

"I believe that soon, war will truly break out, and we will have to deal with Palutena and her allies up close. And now, we need to protect our fortress," The Commander began, with the others looking at her, waiting for their commands. "Considering such, we must stay here. Get ready for battle, girls."

The Commander's Forces all curtseyed, except for Zia and Narrator (which the Commander could understand as it meant they needed to discuss something with her), and upon dismissal, Zia requested to speak with the Commander, but alone.

Which meant that Narrator had to leave too, but she did so without a word.

The only two present in the room now were the Goddess of Creation and the Commander. "Zia, is something wrong? You seem worried."

Zia narrowed her eyes. "You know what the problem is. If you continue with this any further, what happened 3 years ago will be repeated."

The Commander seemed nonchalant about the situation at hand. "You know its not like the Gods clashing that will draw them here. Besides, I will likely have won the war by the time they arrive, though you're being paranoid about it."

"You're breaking the balance between Angels and Gods if you continue to go through with this. If they return, your attempts at rewriting the rules of the heavens will go in vain." The Commander continued to disagree with Zia, only making the Goddess lose her temper quickly.

"Please, Zia. You're panicking over nothing. If they do return, we will be the ones to…"

The Goddess' eyes flashed, startling the Commander. "Penelope, you're refusing to listen! This situation is far more dire than you believe. If the hive reforms, all will be too late!"

The Commander stood up, her eyes a violet hue and her voice filled with venom when she spoke. "Do not refer to me by that name! I'm the Commander now, not Penelope." She hissed as she drew closer to Zia.

Zia held her ground. "I'll prove to you that this won't lead to their return. Leave me be."

She spoke no words as she spun around and left, her heart feeling torn apart as she silently left the room, with Narrator waiting for her outside. Narrator could tell that this talk didn't end well either. "Zia…"

Zia went off to her chambers in silence, though Narrator saw the tears going down the stressed Goddess' face as she went past her. Narrator frowned before looking up at the ceiling.

"Palutena… please save her from this insanity." Narrator prayed before going off to her own chambers in order to figure out how to devise a plan to end this.

…It was kinda obvious Penelope was the one behind all of this, but its not like the heroes know that. And if you have played Kid Icarus: Uprising, if you recall what happened at the end of the Aurum chapter before the Chaos Kin arc, you'd probably figure out who "they" are.

We're also approaching the end of the story! However, depending on how the infiltration of the Commander's base writes out, I believe there's about 8 chapters left, but I could be wrong, as it could be shorter.

And because Green Angel's Feathers is technically the sequel to this story, until this one ends, it is on hiatus until the final chapter is posted.

Why? Well, that one gives some major spoilers to this one.

That's all I have to really say for now.

Like usual, please review if you'd like, I'd prefer if you didn't flame, and please tell me how I can improve.

I will see you all in the next chapter!

Ciao.
