It was probably noticeable that I posted two chapters in one day on the day I updated last, but it was mostly because I managed to finish up those chapters in advance during this break of mine where I don't try to rush chapters.

I mean, yes, chapter 15 was kinda short, though I felt it was good to where I didn't need to add more. I could've, but I didn't.

Guest: Yep, it is. Though it is something the characters don't know for the most part.

Without further ado, I own nothing but my OCs as usual and RubyDarknessAngel owns Sky and Ruby, and with that, I give you the entire sixteenth chapter, which will begin the final arc of the story.

Chapter 16: To the Silent Sanctuary

Something that was strange was from the lack of information about the Organization XIII's doings as well as Maleficent and Pete's. It was like something happened that they were unaware about.

And with Demyx and Zexion knowing the most in terms of the Organization, there were questions that were greatly needed to be answered. Sora was the one who ended up asking. He casually walked up to the two, who happened to be interacting (it was more of Zexion pointing out Demyx's laziness though), and interrupted when his presence broke its way into the conversation.

"This is kinda out of the blue to ask, but do you guys know what happened to the Organization XIII? I'm pretty sure they're in this world."

"Were. They were here. And that's why we came to you." Zexion corrected Sora, being very brief in terms of his statement.

Sora raised an eyebrow, before Zexion asked him, looking fairly concerned, "You do know what happened to the Organization, right?"

The brunette shook his head, leading to an explanation. "I escaped the Organization's base when the Commander landed her first attack. The safest place I knew nearby was the Tower of Illusion, and I ended up helping Xion defeat Saki when you couldn't." Zexion explained, though he noted that he didn't know what happened next.

But Demyx did. "The Commander, two of her generals, and then a lilac-haired angel and a child-like angel came and managed to rid the Organization XIII of this world on their second attack, but I was the only one who managed to escape. I ended up following you guys to the Underworld to defeat Sol and Saki, because you guys were the only ones I could turn to."

Sora didn't recall meeting a child-like angel or a lilac-haired angel, but knowing that the Commander was willing to destroy the rest of the Organization herself with a few of her troops just to get them out of the way was scary. The only good thing was that they didn't have to deal with the Organization because the Commander had already done it.

And despite they hadn't been underestimating the Commander's power, if she were able to increase it by continuing her conquest of the heavens, if they didn't act now, it would be too late.

The time was now to defeat the Commander.

And today was the day they were to infiltrate her base.

Considering how powerful her team was, almost everyone, except for Beat and Rhyme who stayed to guard just in case, went.

The angels stood outside of Palutena's Temple now, the wind blowing somewhat harshly, and some dust rolling over too. "Alright! The time is now to defeat the Commander! Are you all ready?"

They nodded, and with the count of three from the Gods who were assisting, our heroes took off towards the Commander's Fortress. Palutena and Virdi were trying their best to telegraph the path, though Joshua noticed something odd.

"Hmm? Well, this is going to be quite troublesome." He stated out of the blue as they were flying.

"Joshua, do you see something wrong?"

"Oh, nothing. However…" Suddenly, as they were getting close, the defense system reacted and suddenly they began to be assaulted by a barrage of lasers and other attacks. "…It appears that General Luna has begun to defend the Sanctuary."

Neku and the others didn't seem relatively amused.

"Why didn't you say anything until the attacks started?!" Neku yelled at him as the group divided as they began to try avoiding the attacks.

"This would've been some really useful information a while ago!" Dark Pit added.

Joshua chuckled. "Oh, and you're blaming me? How rude."

Now seemed to be the worst time to be messing around. Luna and her defenses were already trying to gun them down. However, Naminé, Joshua, and Zexion were able to quickly come together before devising a plan before nodding and separating.

"Everyone! Split into three groups!" Naminé ordered out of the blue, confusing them at first. Sora seemed to be the one to question it. "Wait, how come?!"

"That will be explained later. Go!" Zexion added. After a few dodges, and a count of three, they split into three groups and were able to avoid the rest of Luna's defenses (that they knew of), as Luna had some issues hitting them once they were split up into groups.

With more orders from Joshua, they went into separate entrances to the Sanctuary, giving them a variety of more challenges they had to deal with.

Sora, Riku, Pit, Dark Pit and Joshua made up the first group. They'd be handling the Commander's Generals and taking them and the Commander out.

Axel, Roxas, Neku, Demyx and Zexion would deal with the Commander's stronger angels who showed to be formidable foes. From what they knew, there were six, but they'd handle three of them.

Ruby, Sky, Kairi, Shiki, Naminé and Xion made up the final group, and they'd shut down the defenses, help those who have been captured escape (if the Commander took prisoners) and deal with the other three stronger angels.

From there, they'd be able to successfully take the Commander out without having too many people to deal with one group at once and created a balance.

And with their power as well as the aid of the Gods, all they hoped was that they were able to obtain victory instead of defeat. If they weren't there to stop her, who knows what the Commander would do to the Heavens in her wake? She'd only break the balance, and that had to be stopped before it went any further.

Now was the time to finally defeat the Commander before it got any worse.

Upon failing to stop the enemy from coming in, Luna was quick to rush into the Commander's Throne Room and gaining further instructions. But Luna wasn't the only one who had concerns, as the others were there too.

There was no nervous chatter at all as they stood, facing the Commander. Rising from her throne, the Commander stood before her allies. "Unfortunately, it appears that Palutena and her allies' troops have infiltrated our base, and due to such, now is the time to act. Now its time to defend our Sanctuary, and also, our goal." Said the Commander, and her nine angels nodded.

Yume spoke next for the others, taking her place by her ladies side and giving out the orders in the Commander's place. "Considering what our Commander has just said; now is the time for us to go to our stations. This time, there's no holding back against Palutena and her forces, nor Viridi's or their allies. If we intend to defeat them and stop them from interfering in our plans, we must stop them."

The others nodded, and the Commander gave her final order. "Everyone, move out, and get ready. Its time to finally finish our opponents once and for all."

There, the nine angels were dismissed, leaving the Commander alone in her throne room, her back turned to the grand windows behind her. She took off her helmet, noticing how she yet again forgot to tie her brown hair up into a ponytail. Doing so, according to Zia, would help make her helmet less comfortable. She was quick to tie it with a ribbon before putting her helmet back on and pulling her ponytail out.

Then, she turned, a determined yet slightly crazy glimmer in them. "Zia… I'll prove to you that I can succeed. And then, with my victory, we'll see if the threat that interrupted the wars of three years prior will return."

Her ponytail whipping around as she turned, Penelope, or rather, the Commander, faced the windows, waiting to see whether or not her enemies would come to try and stop her, or if her forces would defeat them with grace, and keep them from ever arriving.

I've been eager for these past few years that I've been writing this story to write the final part and also the finale. Now, we'll get to see the Commander and her forces fight to the fullest. After all, they aren't pushovers and require having quite a few people in order to defeat them.

For the fights against the three generals and the Commander herself, they'll likely have their own individual chapters. As for the other two groups, with the girls and the rest of the guys, they'll likely be half chapters.

As for the finale… well, all I'll let you know is that I plan to make the finale a fairly long chapter. It will not be a two-parter like some of my other finales for my stories have been. The fight with the Commander will not be the final chapter, surprisingly.

And as for the foreshadowing, I'll try to explain. Penelope's actions against Angel Land were an unnatural yet natural disturbance, as it is, and was a rebellion. And she managed to affect many of the gods with her actions, and basically go into war with them and other forces too.

So, we likely know who "they" will be. That's all I will give on such for now.

Like usual, please review if you'd like, I'd prefer if you didn't flame, and please tell me how I can improve.

I will see you all in the next chapter!

Ciao!
