A/N: Well I'm a bit late⦠heh, better late than never I guess.
"Oof" Phineas said, pushing the clothes off of my face.
Phineas reorganized the boxes, so he didn't have something more dangerous land on him.
'That could have become dangerous had I put something, like my tools, on top of everything else.' He thought to himself, while rubbing the back of his head.
Phineas was still jittery and wasn't thinking clearly now that he had asked her out.
After unpacking the necessary things, I plopped on my sleeping bag. Exhausted from the events of the day, I went right to sleep.
Isabella was standing in front of a mirror. This was the fifth dress she'd tried on. Satisfied with her final choice, she changed into her pajamas to get to bed. He was finally back. She always wondered what it would be like at the time of his return. This was laced with the worry of whether or not Phineas would change, find someone else and would stay with them. It's natural for people to change, but it seems even through all that, he still liked her. If anything, the only changes he went through, made him more attractive. She blushed at the thought, as he seemed to be fairly muscular now.
Unable to go to bed yet, Isabella pulled out a well worn envelope, and read the letter inside, the first one Phineas sent from college. There had been many others afterwards, eventually leading to them texting nightly after swapping phone numbers.
She sighed a bit thinking to herself, 'Too bad letters are thought to be old fashioned now, it's nice to receive these.'
Phineas awoke to the sound of the birds singing. It was the same time he always woke up, as it was the perfect amount of time to get everything he wanted done before he got to college. Feeling refreshed, he hopped up, and started his morning routine.
While eating breakfast, he suddenly remembered what was going to happen today. He felt his cheeks heat up a bit.
'It's fine, it'll be just shopping, maybe go out for lunch after.'
'ISN'T THAT A DATE?' he was fully awake now.
Isabella put on her dress after her morning routine, and took one more look at herself in the mirror. She decided to put her hair in a braid, and even then it was all the way down past her waist as she had never cut it since she was a kid. She smiled at her reflection, and practiced a "What'cha doin" in the mirror.
Isabella laughed at herself a bit as she hadn't said that in years. She was hyped and ready to go.
Isabella left her house and rushed into her car. She thought ahead on this one, as Phineas didn't have a vehicle yet due to being out of the tristate area. She had stayed, as she needed to take care of her mother, who eventually passed away from illness.
Isabella remembered the time Phineas had spent that night her mother died on a video call with her till they both fell asleep. It was a bittersweet memory that reinforced her feelings for him. It was always easier to talk behind a computer screen, or through letters. There wasn't even a hint of nervousness. But soon as Phineas and Isabella met, there was tension, a nervousness Phineas had never dealt with previously.
Phineas got a text from Isabella asking him where he lived, and after responding she said she would drive him there. So he anxiously waited outside the apartment complex. After a few minutes she arrived and pulled into the parking.
"Hey Phineas, What'cha doin'?" She said as she got out of the car to greet him.
He stood there in awe. She wore a white sundress with pink fringes and sneakers. He nearly ran up and hugged her because she looked adorable. He debated it for a moment, but dismissed the thought. At least he would have, had she not done exactly that.
E/N: Well I'm stopping here for today. Thank you for the responses to this story, without that I probably wouldn't have decided to write this chapter today.
