Chapter 13

After school a week after Shu visited her mother, Shu, Zuko, and Lahna were walking out the school walking towards Shu's house. "That test was brutal." Zuko shouted throwing his hands in the air.

Shu and Lahna looked at each other. "The history exam was not that bad." They both said to him at the same time.

"Well you two actually study for the tests." Zuko pointed out.

"Well than study for the tests than it won't be so brutal to you." Lahna told him.

"Yeah join us in the library every once in a while." She said agreeing with Lahna.

Before Zuko could speak he saw someone fallow them. He turned to the person seeing a female with an eye patch on her right eye. "Can I help you lady." He said to her.

She tilted her head to the sided. Shu, Zuko, and Lahna kept their eyes on her not noticing a skinny male quietly approaching with a sparkling glove. Suddenly he puts his gloved hand on Shu and she shrieks in pain before falling unconscious. Lahna and Zuko turn around to find their friend on the ground. Zuko was about to charge at him with a fist of fire when he felt a chop on his shoulder knocking him to the ground his fire dissipating. Lahna was about to water bend when four columns of earth came up and trapped her on the spot. The one with the gloved hand was carrying Shu like a sack of potatoes. "Come on let's go." They said getting into a satomobile.

"Shu!" Lahna shouted after the vehicle.

The four kidnappers were driving towards the bridge that takes them out of Republic city when Shu started to stir. "Wha…" She starts before she sees the electric glove in front of her face.

"Speak or move and I shock you again." The man wearing the glove told her. "Understand."

Shu nodded. "Good."

Shu kept quite for the rest of the ride out of Republic City. They eventually stopped in front of a small secluded cabin in the forest. "Come on." The male grabbed Shu pulling her out of the satomobile.

The four and Shu entered the shack before Shu was knocked out by a chi block on the neck. "Alright, lets put her in wooden cage before she wakes up." The earth bender.

Shu was then cared to a wooden cage underneath the shack. "Has the message been sent to the Chief of police?" The earth bender asked.

The one who drove the vehicle nodded, "Yeah the police should be at the scene of our kidnapping right now and all we have to do is listen in on the radio to see if they will make an announcement."

At the scene, Lin was looking around hoping to find a clue to where she might be but can't find anything. "Detective Wan did you find anything?" She asked.

"No chief and the two kids don't know anything we don't already know just looking at the scene." He responded to the chief.

Lin took a deep breath. She pulled out a card that was delivered to his desk 10 minutes before a call to the police about two students being knocked out or trapped between pillars of earth. She read through the card.

We have taken the daughter of the dictator Kuvira and she will be returned to your care if our demands are met.

Kuvira is too be executed by Avatar Korra publically.

A ship will be given to us that has the ability to take us out of United Republic waters.

Baatar Jr is too be sentenced to life in prison.

We will be listening to the radio and you have 10 days before we take it out on her daughter.

"Officer." She said getting the attention of an officer keeping the scene clear of civilians.

"Yes chief!" The officer exclaimed with rigid attention.

"I need you to drive me back to the station I need to contact the president, the avatar, and the presidents of Zaofu and the Earth Republic."

The officer looked nervous but complied. The drove to the station where she went to the private radio used to contact world leaders and the Avatar. She took a breath before she grabbed the microphone before speaking. "Get me the president of the United Republic." She demanded.

Meanwhile in the prison Zaheer was meditating when he suddenly opened his eyes and looked at Kuvira who was doing push ups. "Kuvira there is something you should know." He tells her.

"What?" Kuvira asks stopping her pushups.

"I can't say if you're in the cage but it is something that you should hear." He said.
