Chapter 18

Shu, Lahna, and Zuko were in the back of a squad car. Shu was in between her two friends. "So, you guys met my mom." She awkwardly stated.

"Yeah, that is one way of putting it." Zuko stated.

"She kidnapped us while we were putting the trash in the dumpster." Lahna continued.

Flashback

Zuko and Lahna were in the back of the stolen satomobile. Kuvira drove them out of the city avoiding the police that were searching for her. Kuvira would occasionally look at the back seat seeing how her two 'passengers' were doing. Once they were out of the city Kuvira started speaking. "So, you two knew Shu Hai."

"Yeah, we're friends and teammates." Zuko told her.

Lahna stomped on his foot. "Ow." Zuko gasped.

"Don't go and tell a stranger about our friend." Lahna told Zuko.

"It's good to see that Shu is making friends despite me not being there." She told them.

"So, you meet your daughter?" Zuko asked.

"She came to visit me a week ago." Kuvira stated. "We talked and she mentioned that she made some friends here in Republic City."

"Take a right on the next turn."

Kuvira turned on that turn. "Okay, there is a cabin about half a mile down that way." Zuko said pointing forwards.

The three got out of the sato-mobile. "Okay, you three slowly go that way and if you see Shu, I want you to take her to the vehicle as fast as you can."

The Zuko nodded. Lahna was not convinced. "Why should we trust you, you could just take her away and brainwash her into becoming some sort of war lord to take over the Earth Republic." She argued.

"It's not like you have a choice, the kidnappers out number and out match the two of you." Kuvira pointed out.

"Fine, but if you take her we will find you and fight for her." Lahna threatened the former dictator.

Kuvira smiled at her. "Okay." She said before running toward the cabin.

The two ran towards the cabin to see Shu running away from the cabin.

End of Flashback

"So yeah that's how we came to be at the cabin." Zuko finished.

"How will your parents react to me and being kidnapped by my mom?" Shu asked slightly scared.

Lahna and Zuko looked at each other. "Oh crap we are going to have to explain a lot to our parents/ my mom." They said at the same time.

Shu patted them on the back. "If it helps I don't think you will be in trouble."
