Fast forward 2 days
"Everyone! Important announcement!" Chiron called out. People started gathering around near the dining pavilion. "We will be setting sail tomorrow morning at about 10 am. That is all." He said as he padded away towards the big house. Travis was enjoying a nice breakfast, at least he was, until his brother Connor came sprinting over.
"Travis! Travis! Travis! Aphrodite girls! Bikini party! At the lake!" He yelled in his brother's face. Travis laughed.
"No thanks buddy." His brother's face dropped.
"But Travis! Bikinis! Girls! Lake party!" He yelled again. Travis laughed again.
"No thanks buddy, i'm not going to mess up this thing with Katie." Connor frowned, and then sprinted off in direction of the lake. After finishing his meal, Travis decided to go practice his sword skills at the training arena. He set the machine to maximum skill level and unsheathed his sword. The machine was good, but it was no match for The King of Thieves. Travis decided not to go full power because he didn't want to break the machine, so he held back a little. Or a lot. He was so busy practicing he didn't even notice Katie walk into the arena. He continued practicing until she came up and scared him. He turned around and almost skewered her with his blade.
"Holy Hades Katie! Don't scare me like that." He yelled as she continued her laughter.
"Calm down you big baby!" She said as she laughed in his face again. He rolled his eyes and continued training.
"So, what ship are you sailing on tomorrow?" She asked him.
"Me and the best of the myrmidons are sailing on my ship with the black flag. We're in the first batch of ships to sail." He said as he kept fighting the machine.
"Oh fun. Why aren't you sailing with your brothers and sisters?" She asked him. He shrugged. Honestly, he wasn't sure. He was about to speak again before he heard a big commotion. He sheathed his sword and grabbed Katie's hand and ran out of the arena. He was worried, until he saw why everybody was freaking out. His ships were here! They were sailing in from the lake, but nobody knew it was Travis' men.
"It's the myrmidons! Everybody stand down!" Travis yelled. The soldiers seemed to calm down a little bit, but they were nervous about the soldiers being at camp. Travis was smiling ear to ear at the sight of his men. Katie tugged at his hand.
"So uh Travis, I was wondering if you wanted to hangout tonight? There's a new restaurant downtown." She asked. Travis gave her that special smile she'd only seen him give her.
"Of course Kate plus eight!" Katie smiled and then rolled her eyes at the new nickname. On the outside Travis was cool and calm, but on the inside he was freaking out. Did Katie Gardner just ask him out? The beautiful daughter of Demeter? The answer is yes, she did. Travis grabbed her hand again and walked down to the lake.
"Come meet the soldiers." He said. She nodded and smiled. He climbed onto the docks and over to the first soldier off the boat.
"Odysseus my friend!" Travis said as he greeted his friend. Katie's eyes widened.
"Odysseus? THE Odysseus?" She asked. Travis nodded.
"Yes Kit Kat, THE Odysseus, former king of Ithaca." She froze in her place. She was standing in front of one of the greatest warriors ever known. She couldn't even process it. How was this possible? She was about to ask but then more famous warriors stepped off the boat. Perseus, Thesus, the original Jason, and Hector of Troy.
"Are all of them ancient Greek heroes?" Katie asked Travis. He shook his head to say no.
"Just these 5. The rest are demigods that I found before camp. This boat here, are the top 50 warriors I have." He responded. "Excuse me, I have to meet with these 5. Can I meet you at your cabin later?" He asked. She nodded and walked away. Travis walked over to the 5 Greek heroes.
"How did the test go?" He asked. Perseus smiled. Travis gave them a puzzled look. The rest of them started chuckling.
"We recruited a new demigod to the first legion." Travis almost gasped. The legions went as follows; Legion 1 is the best, Legion 2 is second, and so on.
"So he fights with us now?" Travis asked. They nodded. "Can I meet him?" Perseus nodded and walked back to the ship.
"He reminded us of you Travis." Hector said with a chuckle. Eventually Perseus returned, and Travis could see what Hector meant. They had the same hair. Long curly brown hair.
"What's your name?" He asked the newbie.
"Finn. It's an honor to meet the King of Thieves Travis." Travis chuckled and grabbed Finn's forearm.
"It's an honor to meet you as well." He responded.
"When do we set sail for Greece? I cannot wait to wet my sword with you." Travis chuckled.
"We sail out tomorrow morning." He said. He looked over to Odysseus and Perseus. "Good job finding this kid, he's anxious to fight. I like that." He said as he smiled at them. "Sleep on the boat tonight, all of you." They nodded and went back to talk to the rest of the myrmidons. Travis started making his way towards the Hermes cabin to look for his brother Connor, who was nowhere to be seen. He eventually found his brother making out with Drew Tanaka, the head counselor of the Aphrodite cabin, ever since Piper moved to Camp Jupiter so Jason could be Praetor of Rome. He walked over and pulled his brother up and out of the cabin.
"What the Hades Travis!" His brother yelled in his face.
"Connor, I have to talk to you. It's about a new recruit in our Legion." He explained. Connor's eyes lit up.
"We got a newbie? What prank are we laying down on him?" Travis rolled his eyes.
"We aren't pranking him." Connor's eyes lit up with confusion and disappointment. "I want you to go meet him, and test his sword skills. He's going to be on the first ship out with us tomorrow." His brother nodded and walked away. Travis, without anything to do, sought out Chiron. He walked all the way over to the big house, and walked into Chiron's room.
"Ah Travis, what can I do for you?" He said. Travis sighed, and walked into the room and sat down in a chair.
"Chiron, once we get to Greece, how can we possibly expect to beat Gaia and her army?" Chiron himself sighed.
"Honestly Travis, I'm not sure if we can win this war, but I do know that we're going to try." Travis nodded, and stood up.
"There is something else Chiron." He said as he sighed heavily. "There's a soldier in Gaia's army, a demigod I encountered on my journey's."
"What about him?" Chiron asked.
"He is the closest a man has ever come to beating me in a sword fight." Travis replied. "I could feel he was a powerful demigod." Chiron nodded his head.
"Did you ever get a godly parent?" He asked. Travis walked over to the window and stared outside at the camp before responding.
"He's the son of Kronos."
