Origins of Darkness
Darkness, that was all that filled his vision and pain encompassed his existence. Eyes gazing up through the darkness through which he found himself sinking, there just barely permeasable was a figure standing over the darkness he could see burning red eyes gazing down into the pool as a feminine voice drifted down. "If you wish to live, than come to me. You shall become my Pride and together we shall destroy humanity with you as one of my greatest blades child." The woman's voice was cold and calm uncaring of whether he choose to live but it brought forth a single thought, a woman with long blonde hair laughing as she held him in her arms and stroked his hair calling him her pride and joy. With a defiant roar he fought through the depths of the darkness every kick a fierce struggle until finally he broke the surface.
One would describe the land he emerged into from the pools as one of pure despair, it was something born from the deepest shadows of humanity's greatest terrors and there standing over him was a woman. Black and white hair tied back from a face nearly as pale as bone itself with dark veins covering the skin and framing eyes that burned sanguine red amidst black pools, a deathly pale hand extended to him a cruel smile curling the woman's lips. He reached out taking her hand and allowing himself to be pulled to his feet and as he did he examined himself in the black pools noticing his regal blonde hair that appeared to be slicked back along with deep blue eyes, his skin carrying a lightly sun kissed coloration. As he examined himself he felt disgust to see the mundane rags he was dressed in the darkness taking hold and bringing forth the sin for which he would be named, Gone was the once proud warrior of Vacuo and now was born Salem's eldest son Percy the sin of Pride.
It took the two nearly two thousand years to find the others but all to soon all 7 sins were born all of whom were originally humans born from Salem's loins, Each bearing a different history but all sharing one goal which was to ensure the subjugation of the entire world at their glorious and kind mother's feet. These 7 trained in the Land of Darkness having free reign over Evernight and its vast landscapes the children all discovering that they shared their mothers power to control Grimm and use magic but also were unique in that they had been exposed to the pools of annihilation yet still retained their souls. Due to this the 7 began to quickly develop their own semblances and weapons, for centuries they trained and honed their skills in secret becoming an unparalleled force of destruction and fury.
Alas it came to pass that nearly a century after what the world had known as Great War did Salem set her sights on one last conquest, Summer Rose an inheritor of the Light of Preservation. with her eyes set firmly on her prize Salem performed her greatest feat of magic using it to turn himself into a handsome man before enrolling as a student at Beacon. It took many years of patience and focus but after 5 years Salem finally seduced the young Rose and from their union was born the 8th child. Garnet Rose, Summer ran after discovering the truth about her lover as Salem unmasked herself and Summer ran to hide their child. This would be her greatest mistake as nearly a decade later Salem and Summer would finally face each other in combat with the huntress dying at the hands of the one she had been seduced by so long ago. As she lay dying Summer murmured only one last thing to her former love. "It was never my destiny to kill you, our son will be the one to end your misery." She than died the ghost of her last smile etched on her face looking so serene and lovely even in death.
Salem searched for many years trying to find her youngest son even finally allowing her children to go out and look for him, though the efforts were ultimately fruitless the results of her children hunting for him was that she found a young woman of great ambition and potential. Cinder Fall was a weapon Salem found to begin her secondary goal with this focus reestablished she tasked her child Lily/Lust with the task of training the young Fall. It was 17 years after his birth that Salem heard the rumors from her second oldest child Victor/Wrath that Garnet had enrolled as student at Atlas Academy and had passed his entry exam in flying colors, with the knowledge of where her youngest child was she assigned Victor to keep a close eye on him.
Thus so begins the Legend of Garnet Rose, the older brother to Yang Xiao Long and Ruby, the child born of Light and Darkness.
