A\N: Hey y'all, I wanted to let y'all know that I am in Texas right now. I just got my one year sobriety chip from the place I got sober in. Let's see if this chapter is any good. I know its not long, but I just wrote it.
Chapter 11 - Lies we tell ourselves
Jade's P.o.V.
I walked out of the room I was currently sharing with Tori Vega, there was someone banging on the door. I grabbed my wooden baseball bat, and walked down the stairs to the door. "Who is there?" I asked through the closed door. I got no answer.
"Jade?" Tori asked from behind me. I turned to look at her, she looked frightened, I don't blame her, not after what she told me. "Don't open the door, let's just go back to bed."
There was another bang on the door. "I'm not going to let anything happen to you Tori, go wake up my dad and the go back to the room. Tell my dad that it might be your dad, okay." I walked up to her, pulled her into my arms, and kissed her temple. "Nothing is going to happen to you, not ever again, I will protect you." I whispered in her ear.
Tori went to get my dad and I turned back to the door, "Who is it?" I asked one more time, again I got no response. I gripped my bat a bit tighter, moving to open the door. "Why the fuck are you here in the middle of the night?" I hissed when I saw Beck standing on the other side of the door, I opened it wider. He walked in and kissed me.
"I missed you babe." I could smell alcohol on his breath. "I haven't seen you all night and you didn't call me."
I just looked at him, not knowing what to say, him and I haven't been doing very good, and, the night I got the call from Trina about Tori, I broke up with Beck. I didn't breakup with him because the call, it just happened to happen the same day. I wasn't with Tori, I want to wait until she is more comfortable with me, with life, but Beck kissed me I felt like I was cheating on her in some way. "You need to leave Beck, you and I broke up. I don't want you coming here in the middle of the night, waking me up, I don't want you to kiss me, I don't want you." I tried to turn away when he grabbed my arm, pulling me back. I tried to yank my arm away from him but he pushed me up against the wall.
"Beck!" My father yelled from the top of the stars. "You are going to leave now before I make you leave."
"Or I'll make you leave, Jade asked nicely, I wont be so nice." Tori started walking toward us, the tone of her voice scared even me. "Now are you going to walk out that door or am I going to throw you out?"
He turned, walking out of the door. Not looking back.
Tori P.o.V.
I walked back to the room, waiting for Jade. I sat down on the bed, my back to the open door. "You okay, Tori? I know you thought it was your dad, but thank you for making him leave, for having my back." I turned to face the beautiful woman that was leaning against the door frame, I smiled and got up.
"I'm fine, even if it was my dad I would have had your back, we are friends." I hugged her. "I think we should get back to bed, we do have school tomorrow."
I started to walk to the bed, jade put her hand on my shoulder. "Wait, can I- um, can I-, never mind." jade took her had off me.
"What is it, Jade? You can tell me, or ask, me whatever you want, its okay."
"Can I," she took a deep breath and looked at the floor. "Can I kiss you?" She whispered.
I walked closer to her, lifted her chin, and looked her in the eyes. "You never have to ask that." I leaned in, placing my lips on hers.
