Hiccup: Jack laughs mockingly while the rest of us find what Astrid said funny. Except Rapunzel and Eugene's twins, Flynn and Bella. They have no idea why we're laughing.
"That was kind of mean. I would come up with something for you, but you're like an open book. You're also uninteresting," Jack says.
"Hey! Uninteresting? Puh-lease! I ride a dragon, I'm dating Hiccup, and- um, I have to hang out with Snotlout, who has a major crush on me. I- um," her voice trails off.
"The twins?" I suggest. I get a blank stare and looks from Rapunzel, Eugene, and their twins.
"The twins?" Rapunzel echos.
"Yeah, Ruffnut and Tuffnut. The Thorston twins," I say.
"That makes more sense. Yeah, we practically babysit them," Astrid retorts.
"I want it to be clear I don't have a crush on Rapunzel's cousin, Elsa," Jack says.
"Denial," Tooth teases in a quiet voice that was practically whisper.
"Did you just say I'm in denial?" Jack asks.
"What? No! You're my boyfriend, why would I say something like that?" she pretends.
We leave to see the movie in Burgess and once we leave the theater we head to a place called Flower-Meadow Park. We have a swinging contest on the swings and during our time there at least three kids get mad at us. Once we declare Astrid the winner, Jack begins a snowball fight. We also build a snowman who doesn't talk like the one Elsa made before it gets dark and a little colder out. It felt like one of the best days ever and I vowed to hold onto the memory because as someone who grew up without any friends it made me remember how far I've come. How things for me seemed to change for the better.
